Exquisite Vintage Captain

Elyria had been tugged away from her post by the Ka woman, listening she couldn't help but sigh and nod. She was right, laying low would be the best option especially since she was carrying a second life. But it would be difficult, especially if keeping it a secret from her brother and Sheik. The better course of action would be to stick by Daneria and let her do the fighting if it will be further needed- which she didn't doubt it would be considering their history on this voyage. "You're right, you're right." The Captain raised her hands in surrender to the Ka's persistence. She smiled at the woman's congratulations, although truly Elyria wasn't exactly sure how she felt about having a child. A soft grumble erupted through her belly and she groaned, slightly annoyed. Hungry...again. Right when she was about to make her way towards the kitchen to bug Ddendyl the Doctor pulled her aside. Immediately knowing what he wanted to speak to her about she agreed with him to go to his quarters. She looked at the kitchen as they past by longingly. "Gah!" Zephyr's arms wheeled in the air as he crashed to the deck in a heap, chair collapsing on top of him. "Ow-what the?! Sven ******** that hurt." He whined. Elyria pursed her lips, watching the Mechanic throw himself back down to the safety of the stairs. Right when she was about to go after him and deliver the pummeling of his life the Doctor quickly ushered her away, saving the man. Zephyr cursed to himself, brushing off his pants. "Bloody pirates..can't let a man rest." Grumbling, he plopped back into his chair, arms crossed and brow furrowed. Elyria was muttering under her breath about the baby demanding certain cravings from her when bloody footprints were spotted on the floor. They led to the new cook whom was leaning against the wall, a pained smile on her face. "By the Ocean, what happened to you?" She asked, bending over to scrub off the blood from the wood with a nearby rag and unused pale of water. While they were below deck, Pip was stomping around angrily, pulling at his thick curly hair. "Oi m'n you've gone and given me such a headache I can't stand to look it yer face. Lad, I thought you were s'posed to be a navigator?" He growled, frustrated with Sheik. It was actually entertaining to watch when the little goat man got angry. His fluffy fawn tail had a tendency of flicking wildly when annoyed, and if he was red in the face enough he'd make a pathetic bleating sound. The two were still trying to figure out where the hell this island could possibly be in the sky.

Zachary Madrid◄ ► ▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀ Please sit still...Zachary had gotten to Elyria's quarters. He stood by the door and cleared his throat. "As the ship's doctor, I think if you're going to attempt to cover this up, you need a better reason." He said, hoping he wasn't overstepping his boundaries. "I have a story good enough to work with this." He said, and smiled crookedly in his nervousness. "So then, do I have permission to cover this up using my expertise?" He asked, looking around once as he'd never seen Elyria's quarters before. She had told him she would think about it, and left the room. Zachary was left in Elyria's room without its occupant in the room. He left the room and went to go to his own quarters.
He saw Elyria there, as well as the cook, in front of his own door. "Goodness! You're bleeding!" He said, opening his door. He never left it locked, as carrying around a key was a pain for him. "Get inside, I'll help you out now. Sorry I wasn't in my room, but I had a minor emergency to tend to." He said, walking into his room and cleared his spare clothes from the chair he had in there. He then went about getting out some bandaging ready. "What happened for you to be bleeding like that?" [[OCC: ]] ...This will only hurt for a moment. ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄

Daneria watched as the doctor stole Elyria away, nodding subtly to him she parted ways with them as well and walked back over towards Sheik, only to roll her eyes at Sven and, of course Zeph collapsed to the ground. Only to whine like a child she walked back down the stairs to the main deck, watching as Zeph scooped himself back up she walked over and covered his eyes from the warm sun, leaning on the table he was balancing his chair from she tilted her head. "You are one of these, 'bloody pirates'. And maybe if you didn't spend all the time rustling up women every time we make port...you'd get a bit of sleep~" She teased and snickered when he peeked up at her. She flicked her tail at the quartermaster and lifted her chin, looking up at the high sun she flared her nostrils.
"Seems we'll be baking for awhile." She muttered and purred softly, stripping off her large baggy shirt she wore she revealed a slim corset top that she had scavenged a few ports before. She took the seat beside Zeph and put her back to the sun. Her shoulders glazing in the warm sunlight, and her chest rumbled with a purr. She sat straddling the chair, her chin on her forearms. Her long tail swept at the ground lazily...she absolutely loved to sun bathe.

❝ The ∿ Chef ❞
xxxxxDdendyl forced a chuckle as she walked into the Doctor's quarters and sat down on the chair. Sighing in relief as her feet were able to relax a bit from the bothersome pain. "Well.. You see.. I dropped my hand-held mirror by accident.." She laughed nervously as she looked down at her injuries hoping they would buy her lie. Well.. It was partially a lie. "I did not realize I had no shoes on and accidently walked on the broken glass." Ddendyl put her right hand down on her left side and gave it a soft squeeze.
xxxxxDdendyl's eyes widened a bit realizing something. The Doctor might find the burn mark that's on her right ankle. Her jaw quickly clenched a bit as she debated between receiving treatment or leaving with a poor excuse.. Leaving now would only make more questions pop up. The young elf put herself in quite the predicament in her eyes. Ddendyl's eyes looked over at the Captain, chuckling a bit to her response. "I'll clean it up, do not worry. My mess, I got it!" She said cheerfully. Deep down, Ddendyl was conflicted with her inner thoughts.

If Captain Elyria has started to clean it up, let her finish. She likes to pull her own weight on the ship. Lead by example, per-se." He said, getting out some alcohol and a rag. "Is this the only problem you're having right now?" he asked, wetting the rag with the alcohol. He then reached into his bag and got out a pain-killing elixir. "I don't know how tolerant you are to pain. So I have this if you'd need it." He said, holding it out to her in case she wanted it. "This is just for any infections. After this, I'll begin to pull out whatever glass shards I can, alright?" [[OCC: ]] ...This will only hurt for a moment. ▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄

xxxxxDdendyl's smile faded a bit. She ignored his question as to whether it was the only problem she was experiencing. "Mn, I'm very tolerant to pain Doc. I doubt I'll use them." She looked at the medicine that was given to her and held up the medicine. "I'm more concerned if it will get infected honestly." Once he stated he was going to take the shards of glass out of her feet. "I'm ready, go for it." She said with a bold face as she gently bit down on her bottom lip preparing for the stinging pain.

Zachary Madrid◄ ► ▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀ Please sit still...Zachary took ahold of her ankle gently, just above where he had noticed there to be burn marks. However, with her being a chef, that practically explained itself. He grabbed the tweezers and began to extract the glass shards from her foot, making sure to pull directly out. Each shard was put in a small dish to be emptied into a safe place. Once finished, he poured some alcohol on her foot and put it down on the alcohol-soaked rag on the floor. He then began the same process with her other foot, working methodically and without even the slightest twitch. soon enough, both of her feet were free of any glass shards, and he began to put bandaging on them. "Please leave these bandages on. The pressure they provide shall help with the bleeding. I can help you back to your room, if you would like, or-" He heard a knocking on his doorframe. The mechanic was standing there with an amount of blood trickling down his forehead, the wound originating from just over his right eye. "I'll take 'er. Ya gotta worry 'bout otha people 'n stuff." He said, wiping away some of the blood, just to have it trickle back down instantaneously. Elyria had cleaned up the blood on the floor and went off to raid the kitchen. Going back up to the deck with a bowl of fruit and some nuts. A salted meat chop on a plate was in her other hand. Daneria had complained that the Captain didn't eat enough protein and that it would be good for the baby. Ugh. Baby. And just like that, everything was about the little thing growing inside her. Even Bracken, who as if on cue was trotting at her feet, seemed to think of nothing but the child. The Captain took a seat at her brothers table, sighing when the dog pawed at her leg and whined. Bending over she picked up his awkward body and sat him in her lap. Letting him settle, yawning loudly with his floppy tongue out. She smiled at the purring Ka, Daneria looked so content. Zephyr had ignored her teasing and rolled his eyes. "Can you blame me? It's not entirely my fault the fair maidens of the isles miss me so." He grinned to himself. He watched his sister bite into a pear, and then stuff the meat chop with pieces of apple before taking a greedy bite of that too. His lip curled slightly in disgust. "The hell you doin? Eat like a normal person." He chided. Elyria continued to eat her meat and apple combo. "No. I like it this way.""Since when?""Right now." Swallow. And another few bites. (I'll let Sven do some flirting before we discover the isle)

Daneria's ears perked when she heard foots steps approaching the table, opening one eye, her purring only paused until she saw Elyria walking over with food in hand. The feline smirked wide when she saw all the food and continued to purr. Her purr mixed with a chuckle when Zeph spoke of the women missing him at the isles. Opening her eyes to purposefully roll them she scuffed, "Yeah, sure. They miss you like i miss the old box i grew up in." She teased, turning her head to look at the captain when her brother remarked about how she was eating.
The short woman stood up only to spin the chair under her, and sit herself back down again. Pushing her hair away from her face she began to soak once more, her black corset only helped her enjoy her the heat as the dark color pulled in the sun like a leech. She sighed and grabbed Zeph's chair, tilting him a little but still holding him up she crossed her legs. "Don't make me tip ya." She threatened, opening her eye a little bit to look over at him she barred her fangs playfully. "I've seen you eat worse." She joked and looked over at Elyria..and at that meat on a stick she had....only to wretch her nose at it. She flared her nose at the scent and pulled her head back just as quick. She usually loved the scent of meat. But this batch smelled awful to her, this whole week she had tried to snarf down a leg or a thigh and she just couldn't make it past the first bite. They picked this batch up at last port, which was a few weeks ago to be safe. She let Zeph fall back to the deck safely, her tail not moving as she continued to watch Elyria eat, thanking the heaven's that she took her advice.

He just couldn't understand why they hadn't found the island yet given that the other two islands pointed perfectly to their current position. They had searched high and low and found nothing as of yet. He was itching for a drink before his anger reminded him of john fiddling with the map without his permission. He remembered him twisting the map upside down without even thinking and his eyebrows raised. He slowly lifted his hand up and turned it upside down watching as the map looked mirrored to how it looked before. "We're on the wrong side of the map..?" He examined the landmarks and reworked the trajectories from recognizable islands. It was upside down the entire time. ~ "Full sail!" He stood up turning the ship quickly giving the crew very little time to react having the most of them stumble on their feet. "All hands on deck you lazy sky dogs! I want all sails down all power to the engines!" He pushed the throttle forward sparking the engines pushing the Wind Seeker through the clouds. His mind had been lifted knowing that he had finally figured out the puzzle to the map. Rather disappointing that the answer was so obvious. _-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-

Elyria had almost fallen out of her chair, gripping Bracken in her lap tightly as the ship suddenly lurched forward and did a wide turn to change course. "What in the bloody hell?" She glanced over to the helm where Pip gave her a thumbs up. Good. That meant Sheik had figured out the map and how to get to the third isle. She could feel her heart beating hard in its place. She was excited, this meant the final shard would be theirs. Her grandfather's dream was almost coming true. Bracken had nuzzled back into place around her belly and the Captain couldn't help but smile. Rubbing his ear with her fingers. The crew set about running around and getting the ship's sails down for full speed. John was a big help, his strength rather useful as he could easily tie down a thick rope to a sail with just his two hands alone. Zephyr had gotten up and set about ordering the men around. Not enough sleep had left him a little cranky so he felt they were due for a good yelling. Elyria had stood up, feeling she had better help out, but a subtle growl from Daneria warned her away. With a sigh she dragged her feet to the helm, leaving a soft kiss on Sheik's jaw while he busied himself with steering the wheel. "I knew you could figure it out." She winked.

❝ The ∿ Chef ❞
xxxxxA sweat drop began to slide down the side of her face when she noticed his eyes seeing her burn mark. She bit her bottom lip a bit. She sighed when he changed to the next foot. Ddendyl quickly lowered her pants a bit to hide the burn mark on her ankle. A soft smile was forced on her face as she felt her feet throbbing from the burning alcohol. She smiled in order to hide the pain she was experiencing. It was a horrible burning sensation..
xxxxxDdendyl smiled at Sven offering his services. "Thank you for escorting me but let the Doc look after your injury before you help me. Please." She looked at him insisting him to take up on the offer. She slowly got up from the chair and limped towards the wall leaning against it, offering the chair to Sven for his injury to get checked out. "Don't worry about me right now, lets get you fixed up first." She looked over to Sven with her piercing green eyes. It was obvious that Ddendyl was not going to leave the room until her was treated as well.

The doctor then cleared away the blood and allowed them to leave. Sven then put his arm around her waist, allowing her hand to push upon his shoulder so she wouldn't have to put as much pressure on her feet. "A'right then. Easy does it, 'less ya wan' me ta carry ya." He said, essentially offering to carry her. " 'N jus' so ya know, I'm Sven. We nevuh really got interduced."

❝ The ∿ Chef ❞
xxxxxA small smile appeared on her face after he received the treatment. She slowly started to limp with his support. "Thank you.." She knew his name simply because he was mentioned a lot in conversations but never properly introduced herself. "My name is Ddendyl. Dee is a nickname that is commonly used for me though." She chuckled a bit as she began to use his body to support herself as she began to limp towards her room. "I barely see you around." She mumbled softly. She squeezed her eyes shut with each step. The cuts felt like they burned. She sighed softly thinking of how much of a klutz she was for not wearing her shoes...
