Fire. A brutal two-sided coin that holds a clumsy alliance between life and death. We fear it, we love it. It burns us It bathes us in warmth It scorches the earth, razing it of greenery Showering the earth, cleansing it with ash Defenceless, we can only pray Pray for renewal
But beneath the ash of gray and black There is a spark of life It struggles, weary and tested of its mettle It could give up, so easily it could drop to the earth, starved But mother earth has plans, she does
The sky fills with clouds of ashen color, heavy Laden with the balm that would soothe parched, hungry soil And with such a slow, deliberate rhythm, it falls It churns soot Freeing, feeding a new generation It struggles at first But it persists, coaxed up by the breath of wind, the welcoming touch of sunlight
And in this, the cycle turns once more Death brings renewal Fire is life Fire is death Life begins anew

Death has taken a life we love and know Left us empty. Hollowed eyes. Barren soul But it is the way of life to end. Go- Go forth spirit into the sun. Be whole.
Fire burns and fire cleans. Join the sun, be free. Let your love shine on us. Heal the absence That your life has left. Hear this final plea. Watch your loved ones, let them know your presence
Death is not the end, just--just different A life transforming into something new. Death is not real. The sun shines down constant And in it's warmth, I feel a part of you.
Love can never die. It lives on and on. And so the ones we love are never gone.
