Regina sighed and drew her sabre again. You could hardly swing a purrbeast in this place without hitting something! Well, at least that meant she was guarenteed to hit. "Yeah, yeah, I'm on it!"

Kicking the first net away, she flung it back over to the younger trolls in a sudden gesture of goodwill. She then went back to hacking away at it's leathery hide.

Ducking, she watched the second net flop onto the sand as the lusus strained to get free, hissing and snorting alternately. As she circled, she could spot other nicks and cuts that she was certain weren't made with a sabre. Good, the rest of the parties were running into it.

And as the creature bucked and kicked the third net off, slither/charging off into the night, Regina slumped back, doing a little sigh. "Y'know, I think the legal weapon carrying age should be lowered. To half a sweep. Then you could all be helping out!" Of course, she knew that her advisors would never allow her to change a law like that, at least, they'd strongly advise against against it, wearing those uncomfortable 'please don't melt my brain' smiles that they always had fixed on their insufferable faces. Spitting on the sand, she sheathed her weapon and turned back to the kids. "Well?"

"Hear, freaking hear," drawled Tamiya, at full attention. She snapped up her net and looked up at the blueblood. "You are very deadly with that weapon. I would imagine we would all benefit if we were to attack the lusus in tandem. It would be... Be..."
A whisper from Kabukidad.
"Bitching," Tamiya announced, squinting slightly. "Anyway, it would be best to move on. My premonition was correct before, and I suspect that that way will garner results."
And from that way, the lusus returned. Tamiya nodded sagely. Her net was getting a LOT of use. "Yaa!"

[ "Hmm... I think I'd like that, actually," Sinter said contemplatively. He figured he'd look quite dapper with his own sword attached to his belt. "Er, at least, to be able to carry a weapon myself. Not sure if I'd trust someone under a sweep with a sharp object or, or a firearm."
Sinter grimaced at the idea. It was at least reasonable for a child old enough to go on a royally-endorsed hunting mission to be allowed a weapon.

Regina threw up her arms at the heavens. Was it circling them? Whatever whatever, more glory for her, more glory to the great troll race. Drawing her sabre again, she patted its hilt fondly. "Damn right I am." The reply was quiet and smug, said more to the oncoming lusus and her own drawn weapon, rather than the kids.

Actually, more rain at this point would be refreshing. Regina was taking care to wipe her blade after each encounter, but there was blood getting everywhere. Eck. She frowned and wiped her face as she ducked back.

Regina swung her foot in the air after the lusus, not really attempting to kick it, more of a silly gesture than anything. "Go on, get! We'll see you again soon enough, ya stinker!!" Turning back to the others, she threw her arms out and grinned. This was crazy. Life was crazy. There was sand down her boots.

Tamiya regained her own net once again. This was getting tiresome for her. She couldn't imagine how it would be for the fighting teen.
"I have a feeling that perhaps we have a moment to rest," Tamiya mused. She dropped to the ground to collect some of the lusus' blood in her hand, which she pressed into a sticky ball of sand. She threw the ball high in the air and it came back down and burst on the ground. Tamiya squatted down, her eyes squinting nearly shut with intense thought.
"Hmm... Ominous."
And sure enough...! The lusus couldn't get enough punishment.
"At this point I would think we would not even have to throw the nets!" She yelled. "We have clearly drawn it in enough times for it to be attracted to us!"
Perhaps they'd angered the beast. Hopefully Tamiya would have time to perform rites on its body should the group kill it. It would NOT be good if it wasn't laid to rest property. In the meantime, she threw her net once more.

"Like, I guess standing around flailing a net like a matador is efficient, if nothing else..." Sinter adjusted his position in the sand out of the direct line of fire and threw his net.

"Pfft...wh-" Regina's eyebrows rose as the lusus turned around and charged right back. Apparently taunting insults worked? She gave a small groan of complaint and glanced back at the redblood who made the remark. "If your arms are tired, think of mine!"

Regina hacked away at the lusus, risking squints up at the sky whenever she dared, and rolling and tumbling away from it whenever it swung around. About now, some more rain sounded nice. Real nice. The desert was cooler at night, but glub damn was it dry!

After the last hit this time, she kept her mouth firmly shut as the beast kicked off the second net and struggled upright. Mostly to avoid drawing it back, but also because she was getting quite out of breath. Stepping back a few times, she looked over at the group, a small vein ticking under one of her eyes. It was cool, they could rest for a little now. No problems.

"Excellent," Tamiya stated. There was a fairly large pool of blood forming on the ground. "I might suggest that we move for now, then rest. It is not a good damn sign, this right here," she swirled her hand over the dark splotches over the ground.
"And, we are all tired at this point, yes?" Let us find a suitable spot.

There was a rumbling, and Kabukidad began to hiss. The lusus again.Tamiya was downright terrified - she tried not to show it.
" s**t! s**t almighty mothergrubbingnookstainbulgetwitchthisisnotgood! This is no ******** good!" She screamed. "Th-the beast... The beast is angered!" Her voice was unsteady. She barely remembered to toss her net, and soon began a shrill chant. Tamiya was on her knees in the sand, clawing at the ground. Something was definitely amiss in the group. Who was doing this? Who or what was responsible?
