Shinzu told them to wait for his single, a kunai exploding in the air. He decided to lead Sakurayuki in from the rear of the building, through the sitting room. The house was quiet, way too quiet for a clan compound. As he turned a corner, he found a room full of bodies, with a small child amongst them, who was pushing bodies aside looking for something, or someone. Then suddenly as he moved one more, the room roared in an explosion, before Shinzu could do anything. "Damnit!" He yelled as he punched a wall, this could only be the work of the Arsonist.

Yuki's nose twitched with the smell of blood and smoke, and she couldn't think properly. The only thing she'd heard was Shinzu's distressed shout before everything exploded into bits. She was pushed back to the wall and knocked to to floor, although she didn't take any visible damage, and only vaguely recognized that yet another person was now dead. Shaking her head violently, she tried to stand up and see what as around her, but the coppery tang in the air and the scent of burnt flesh made her double over in disgust. Covering her mouth, she knelt down to the floor, gripping the somehow intact wall next to her, retching from the smell. Covering her face, she blindly ran out from the place, heaving in gasps of fresh air once she dashed out.
With a sudden lurch, she was reminded that she hadn't seen where Shinzu was, and instantly felt guilty for losing it like that inside. Thankfully however, he was nearby, and obviously seemed much more accustomed to it than she was, although she knew he was probably as shaken as she was, and was simply hiding it better.
Now looking back at the blazing mansion, she seriously contemplated how something like this could have happened. This opponent was a completely crazy psychopath that couldn't be predicted, and frankly, she didn't want to be thinking on the same wavelength either. Shivering, she looked on at the raging fire, trying to tame the chill inside that threatened to spill out again. 'Get yourself back together, Uchiha.' she reprimanded herself silently. Strangely, all she felt during that small time period was blank disgust for the arsonist.
...Was this truly the work of a human's?

Yuki, after orientating herself from the mess, got out and stared at the now blackened mansion, watching the black smoke drift into the air. Murmuring a quick prayer to Kami for those who'd been sacrificed, she closed her eyes and shortly mourned for the innocent souls. Stepping over what used to be the front door, the girl walked across, her gaze glazing over the floor without much purpose. Assessing the situation didn't help any, as her mind came to a blank at this scene. There was no connection to any motif, reason, or sanity.
'The true work of a psycho,' she muttered to herself.
Nudging the rubble aside, Yuki wandered, examining the fire and trying to find out how it started. The trigger should have been that body. Grimacing a little, she felt her way around, determining the closest spot from where she'd run away from before.
'Burn marks.. stronger here.' Yuki determined as she knelt down and looked at the unrecognizable floor. An explosive, definitely. That explosion couldn't have come from the arsonist's jutsu, there was no way the burn marks would show like this otherwise. Standing back up again, the pinkette sniffed and decided to see if she could find the arsonist's trail. She'd track this person down to the ends of the earth if she had to. She'd promised the villagers that she'd try, and that was exactly what she was going to do.
