♬♪♭Lexi thought her ears were red from embarrassing herself with her prior actions in front of Abel and the new girl, she was far from wrong. Especially after her mind registered exactly what he was implying to her, making her eyes go wide as she let out a gasp. Quickly she uncoiled herself, her body exuding a lethal grace of a well trained predator. Placing a sickly sweet smile on her lips, as she saw that Sean had stepped out of her reach. Tilting her head to the side as she looked at him through hooded eyes. Lexi gave a bubbly laugh, before just going back to smiling as she turned away from him. Clasping her hands behind her back, as she started to walk towards the gym, whistling a made up tune.
♬♪♭After going a half dozen feet down the hall, she looked over her shoulder, a innocence in her glance that belied what was really underneath as she spoke in a sweet, sing song like voice, "Well you not wrong about the favorite color. Are you just gonna stand there like a dolt, or come with me so we can swim, Sean?" Batting her eyes a few times, before turning to face forward in her trek. Already plotting how to get him back for speaking about the secret she had shared with him. There was nothing a person should fear more then a woman scorned, except for one that had a very strong vindictive streak, with a very creative imagination, on top of the ability to use sub sonic vibrations to turn you into a puddle of goo.

Sean Nomikaze, Exerpiment #11
Going silent as he watched her from his safe vantage point a few feet from her, Sean could feel a shiver crawl it's self down his spine, very slowly as he did his best to swallow as she uncoiled herself, a innocently smile that was very sweet to the point of being sickening, just before a burbling laugh came from her. Schooling his face to be neutral as he felt his heart start to beat a bit faster in his chest, instincts telling him that he might wanna run. Though she had turned, walking away from him, arms behind her like nothing was odd, out of place or in general wrong, but he knew better after watching her move with a predatory grace.
Just standing there wondering if he should run away like his instincts were telling him to do, when she spoke to him. Snapping back to reality, hearing her teasing words, making him smile nervously, wondering what she was plotting to do to him for his comment. But when all she did was insult him in a blunt manner before going back to walking towards the gym, Sean felt a cold sense of dread sink into his stomach before he followed after her, easily catching up to her with his long strides. A smile curving his lips once more, as he let his eyes travel down her back to the soft and subtle sway of her hips.

xxxxxx"You yourself have to change first..." xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"...or nothing will change for you."
He didn't know why he was so anxious right now. He had to remind himself, 'there is no logic whatsoever in stressing out about things that were completely out of one's control'. His mother had told him that. thinking of her made his nerves even worse. He hadn't seen or spoken to her in months. Don't they have funerals for missing people is they'd been missing for over six months? Did that make him 'Dead'? He bit his lip as he brooded. He didn't need to think about nonsense like that right now. That was old news.
Right now he felt like he was being prepped for a really intense gene therapy session. Well, they had told him that he was done with therapy, and that he was being moved someplace 'better', but adults were all liars. If they said it wouldn't hurt much, it would hurt a heck of a lot too much to bear and if they said you were going to go someplace better, it meant he was surely going to die in this place,it seemed like where they dumped their tests when they were done with them. He refused to listen when they tried to explain it too him, but he had no choice when it came to his prepping examination.
As they asked him routine questions, drew blood and prodded at him, he thought about Cheza. he'd only a short moment to look at her while they were taken off the boat. She was often incredibly hard to read lately, but he could tell she wasn't doing well. It was clear by what they said that they all were being send to some basement testing area one by one. He hoped they waited until he was done to send her down. He'd wait for her.
He waited, patiently fidgeting in the seat they had given him in the testing room, until they came and collected him. It was a man who came, familiar to the boy through many of the procedures. He was a man maybe around his Dad's age and had a stern look about his face. He called for the boy by his assigned number and not by the name he had been born with. It was time. Michael stood up and wobbled, quickly sinking back down onto his chair. Vertigo. He put his hand over his abdomen to still his insides and stood up again. The doctor looked at him wanted and explanation, as if it were a dizzy spell. Just a mix of anxiety, jet lag and nerve flaying torture therapy was all.
"When will Cheza be 'sent down'?" he used their words, walking as far as he could from the doctor without straying far enough to look like he wasn't following.
"21 will have already been sent down. She'll likely be waiting for you" Micheal furrowed his brow, hiding his anger at both the fact that she had been sent down without him, alone and in how casually the man had corrected her name with a number.
He was lead towards the elevator and once inside, they headed down. His tension rising, he held onto the railing near the back, even as the lift stopped and the doors opened, revealing the hallway and common room. The man stepped out and surveyed the space outside from his spot and seemed to hold some distaste in his expression, perhaps like he was disappointed that more people were not present. Turning back to Michael, he beckoned the boy, speaking in a booming, almost theatrical voice. It seemed his guess was right and he was trying to attract more people into the room and more attention on them both.
"As you can see," the man gestured out towards the common room,"This is your new home. You will find the cafeteria and the bedrooms off down that hall to your left, and the Gym and library off to your right. I'm sure if you need anything the others can show you." With that the man left Michael standing dumbstruck as he slipped back into the elevator.
"Crud." He muttered as he did a quick recon of his surroundings. A hallway, and Cheza was nowhere to be seen. he heard unfamiliar voices to his left, therefore he should definitely head to his right. Wincing, he hurried his sore self towards a large entrance, finding himself in an area that smelled like gymsocks and pool water. a lot less like a lab than he was expecting. Inhaling deeply to slow his uneven breathing, He leaned against the wall to rest a moment, closing his eyes to collect himself. He still hurt awfully from the tests they ran over two weeks ago. He was doing better though. And every night Cheza reported the improving data she observed. He opened his eyes, looking for long back hair. She wasn't in sight, then again, there were plenty of corners she might hide herself in if she got scared. He'd go look after a few, a few more moments of resting. . .

Lexillia 'Lexi' O'Conners Experiment #13
♬♪♭Upon reaching the gym area, Lexi darted into the girls locker & shower room. Where she quickly made her way to her locker. Which she spun the combo number in record speed. Quickly pulling out her white swimsuit & started to change. She knew that Sean would be doing the same & still be in the pool well before her. Not really caring as she already had figured out how to get him back, while making him sweat it out in paranoia. Once dressed, Lexi folded her clothes neatly, before setting them back into the locker. The snagging a hair tie with one hand hand, while using the other to shut the locker.
♬♪♭As she walked towards the opening that would lead to the pool, Lexi tossed her hair up in a hap-hazard ponytail. Each step she took, seemed to fall faster then the one before as she neared the door. Telling her that her subconscious mind wanted to be swimming where there was no real care in the world. At least until a muttered 'crud' off to her right. Slowing her pace, she looked over to see a small, young looking male. His eyes closed as he seemed to be dealing with something or another. Coming to a stop only a mere three feet from him, Lexillia looked towards the door that would lead her to the massive swimming pool, that had the sounds of water being sloshed as people swam in it. Wanting to go, but instinct telling her that she should see to the young man first, Lexillia took two steps forward before clearing her throat softly, in a manner that was totally non-threatening.
♬♪♭"Hello? Are you alright? I am.. a healer, if you need assistance. By the way, my name is Lexillia or number 13 if your one of the jerks from the lab upstairs." she said, a soft smile curving her pink lips. She wanted to bend down to his level, but refrained for fear of insulting the young man.
He needed to make a plan. So far, he had no upper hand with dealing with this new lab-prison or home or whatever the white-coats upstairs wanted to call it. He managed to avoid bumping into anyone so far, but he doubted he'd be able to get past anyone else if he intended to get to wherever Cheza had stuffed herself. He hoped she wasn't just catatonic from processing everything that was going on. He hated reading, and it was frustrating for him when she wasn't even 'there' enough to really listen to him for the first good while. Michale was considering trying to overthrow her sleep schedule to call an impromptu nap time. She would be able to rest and recover faster while dreaming, and he'd, well he'd try and figure out how big this place was. He was thinking and thinking to himself that he failed to notice the graceful approach of footsteps coming up from behind him.
At her soft announcement of present, his breath caught and his eyes shot open. Straightening, up he looked up at her, his first reaction wanting to push away from any obstacles and run. The woman who had coughed though, didn't seem like she was a white-coat. for one, she was pretty much all bare skin in front of him and that blue hair was startlingly vivid. He froze wide eyed until his slow brain informed him that she was a 'finished and dumped' experiment, as he was, only she was quite a few years older than him and very, very pretty. And not very clothed. And pretty.
He swallowed, stunned as she spoke and he felt heat rushing up his neck and through his cheeks to form a light flush. Looking away with a frown on his face, he put his back and palms up to the wall defensively as she spoke up. His heart was beating fast from the alarm of being 'caught' in the act. He felt guilty. It annoyed him that he felt guilty too. he hadn't done anything. His eyes flicked back up to her face as she began to talk.
"I'm Fi-Eene" His voice caught and cracked and quick as that his mouth was sealed again in a tight line, his cheeks darkening as he slid down the wall a step away from her. Taking the opportunity of her giving her name, he let his eyes drop from her face, lowering down to her feet before snapping back to her vivid blue hair. Internally he couldn't help but cringe at the mention of her assigned number, but he kinda liked her jab at the white-coats. He still didn't trust her though.
"I don't need any of your help." he mumbled. Truth was feeling a bit weak today. The long transport had been a good deal stressful and it took a lot from his recovering stamina. Feeling a sharp tingling in his fingers, he yanked his hands from the tile lined wall and shoved his hands into his pants pocket with a slight clinking noise. He could't be losing his cool or he'd end up hurting himself. Taking a deep breath and closing his eyes, he focused himself and the tingling subsided to a dull ache.

Sean Nomikaze, Exerpiment #11
Sean had continued to follow after Lexi, though at a distance so that he wouldn't get hit or anything. But the fact that she wasn't reacting at all, or even trying to get back at him, was making him very very paranoid. Though upon watching as she vanished through the door into the females locker room, Sean made his way just as quickly into the males. His locker was right there, so with out a second thought he spun the combo lock, opening it so he could grab he stuff. Not caring as he took his cloths of and tossed them in a pile into the locker.
Soon he was in his issued black swim trunks, slamming his locker shut, before dashing out to the pool. Knowing from habit and close proximation to Lexi over the years it would be a few more minutes before she would join him. So with no hesitation Sean swan dived from the edge of the pool into the deep end. Relishing the feel of the slightly warm water as it embraced his body, pulling him into it's depths. Once he was near the bottom, he planted his feet and pushed up towards the surface, kicking his legs almost lazily.
Breaking the surface, he instantly started to do his favorite stroke, the butterfly. Allowing his mind to drift as he completed lap after lap, before realizing that Lexi hadn't joined him in the water. Slowing his pace, until he was just treading the water, Sean turned himself in a circle, not seeing her. Panic swelling up, Sean quickly cut through the water with powerful strokes to the nearest edge. Slapping his hands on the tiled floor, he pulled himself out of the water in one graceful movement, before standing up carefully so not to fall and possibly hurt himself.
His violet eyes scanning around as he made his way back to the entrance of the pool area, only to have his ears pick up the sound of a soft voice, that could be either male or female as it refused the help of someone. Narrowing his eyes a bit as he came to a stop just at the door frame, seeing Lexi standing there next to a young man, that was seemingly sliding down the wall as if he was tired or in some serious pain. Not saying nothing, wanting to see how Lexi would handle this situation. Knowing that she had come a long way from the very timid, shy introverted person that the jack asses upstairs had created from a very vibrant, open, loving and very accepting person.
Nacht was a little anxious and perturbed after being moved from the lab he had to live at for 3 years to a new one that he had never seen before. He had given them a hard time while they were transporting him but he let them take him to this new lab anyway. He knew that the kids who had also been experimented on at the other lab had been probably sent here too. He hadn’t really talked to any of them but he did know a little bit about each of them.
Nacht got a more daunting feeling when the people who were transporting him brought him to what looked like a one way elevator. He thought about causing a fuss but he knew that they would probably just tranquilize him and put him on it anyway. The ride down all by himself was intense on his subconscious but once the doors opened to reveal the new hell he had to live in he forgot about his anxiety and took in what was before him. Of course the scientists down there hurried him along to join the other Experiments that were at this lab.
Nacht did not feel like socializing much with the others so he wondered around the small facility to see if he could find somewhere cool to sit. He ruffled his spikey dark red hair just before he came into this area that smelled like pool water. He noticed a girl with blue hair talking to a boy who looked like he was in pain for some reason. It looked like the girl was offering to help the boy but the boy was being stubborn. He noticed a guy standing in the doorway watching this happen.
Nacht scoffed off into a corner with his hands in his pants pockets. He knew he needed to figure where exactly everything was in this new facility but right now he just felt like sitting away from everyone. He sat in the corner furthest from the boy and the girl, and watched what was going on for a little bit before closing his eyes and ignoring the people in here. He would figure out where he was supposed to live later, right now he just felt like sitting here and relaxing.

Lexillia 'Lexi' O'Conners Experiment #13
♬♪♭Lexi wasn't surprised at all at the boys reaction, but she did put a small frown on her lips as she watched him slide down the wall with his eyes closed. As she took a deep breath, she felt the vibrations in the air shift around her, letting her know that Sean was behind her. Glad she had some back up support. With that sense of ease now coming to her, Lexi crouched down to the young mans height, before speaking again. "I will not force my help on you. And since you are a new face, then you are a part of the new batch being released.. Just like that petite, black haired girl from earlier. If you want, I can take you to her, that is if you would allow me too. She is prob..." Trailing off as the vibrations of another new person entered the room.
♬♪♭Lifting her liquid blue-green eyes up, she saw a tall red haired male enter, stop and then skulk into the shadows and sit down. Pursing her lips into a thin line as her eyes darkened just a little bit before speaking again, this time a bit louder to include the new male. "She was with Abel, who was showing her around the facilities. Normally they keep a equal distance in arrival time, so that Abel, who is the sole survivor of the first generation experiments to acclimate them down her. So I ask, BOTH of you if you would allow me to take you to him. Besides I know what it is like to be down here and alone for the first time since they do....what they do to us up there." her voice trailing off as she lowered her eyes to the ground, her body shuddering slightly. Waiting for a Response from both the two knew males.
The door of her room was rather plain. It had none of the 'decoration' of her old room door. It didn't even have the wire meshed window she was used to, the one that allowed the researchers to look in on her while she spent her days outside of Gene Therapy sessions. In any other way, the door was the same as her memory. It was thick and heavy metal, made for containing volatile persons within if needed. A prison door for a prison room, Michael had called it before. She assumed that just like the door she knew, they could also be locked/unlocked remotely via a computer somewhere, not just being reliant on the researcher's card, and Abel confirmed this when he got the cameraman to open the door for them.
While he was droning on about an obviously over rehearsed rule about tampering with the observational, Cheza walked in and stood in the middle of room 14, her eyes flashing around agitatedly. While the door was much the same build as she was used to, the room that Abel was claiming as hers was everything but. The walls were bare of any mathematical scrawling or physics models, the bed was the wrong color, the furniture was of a completely different kind and the room wasn't event he same size or shape! There wasn't even room for his bed or stuff in this room, the dresser took up the place where those would be.
She realized Abel had stopped talking and she nodded, her head telling her he had asked a question. Yes, she had questions. Her head was constantly filled with nothing but questions. She supposed though, he meant questions relative to what he had just told her. Well, she had those, too. Stepping towards the dresser(the wrong dresser, that was in the wrong place) she pulled open a drawer and looked inside it. Empty. She frowned and pulled it completely out of it's socket, setting on the ground. She checked the next drawer, her disappointment quickly turning to perturbment.
"Where are..." She set the next drawer on top of the first with a huff.
"...all my.." She quickly pulled the third drawer out and set it on the stack almost without looking.
"...belongings!?" her small voice raised mildly, she pulled out the last draw and then turned to look at Abel with an upset look, showing him the lack of contents. This wasn't the same room as her room. Even Michael's things were gone, and he had more things than her. Her eyes once again went over the walls, and at the years old paint, and the dust and the old way that everything smelled. She could tell that new sheets had been put in and that it had been dusted very recently, but No one had lived there. It just sat, waiting for her.
"It's lying. I don't like it. Where is he going to sleep?"

Lovely. Number 21 was just now starting to realize the position she was in. Not uncommon, several of the second generation had been like this., they had been the fun ones at the beginning. While he wasn't unsympathetic toward the girl, he didn't need to lead her on. This was the reality she was in, and it was better for the truth, than sweet lies. Besides, she was a Mental type, she'd quickly see through his calming lies. He'd rather not have another set of eyes staring a hole in him every time he walked by.
"They are with your old life, kid. You are an experiment now, and you live this well by my generations' sacrifice." He didn't mean for the last part to come out more emotional than it did, but there was a distinct tone of spite there. Abel closed his eyes, and rested his head against the door frame, letting out a calming breath.
"I wouldn't complain to much, at least your friend will be here with you. Take that little solace, and just learn to deal with the rest. It'll help you in the long run. That aside he'll have his own room. The rooms aren't coed, and if you are found in a room aside yours after hours, they'll make me escort you to your living quarters until you get the hint." Biting back a huge chunk of his annoyance, he stated that as coolly as he could. Pushing off his leaning spot, Abel walked over to the girl, and started to replace the drawers.
"Please just get your key card so we can finish this tour. I have others I need to attend to today." After replacing the last drawer, he turned to look at the little girl, and gave her a neutral stare.

Sean Nomikaze, Exerpiment #11
Sean watched passively, at least until a new person stepped into the open area, making Sean stand up straight and watch him closely. He knew that Lexillia knew he was there as well as the new guy. More so by the way her body language changed minutely, before she spoke up speaking loud enough for the other man to know. Once she was done, he saw her head dip slightly as she started to slip into the past. With a small sigh and shake of his head, Sean stepped away from the door frame, to stand behind Lexi. Reaching out he placed his hands on her shoulders, pulling her so her back was flush against his half dry legs.
"She is right you two. It isn't fun to be alone and lost, in this new enviornment. We did see a small girl with Abel earlier, so if she is a fellow companion from your twos ...time in the lab. It would be best for you guys to come with her to Abel. Also this will be my only words of advice. Don't cause trouble down here. If you do, the first time it is a warning of sorts, the second time, let's say you wish you were scrapped as incomplete." his voice dropping a few octaves, as Sean removed one hand from Lexi's shoulder to pet her on top of her head. The intent to soothe her troubled mind. They all had demons from their time of being spliced and genetically altered.

xxxxxx"You yourself have to change first..." xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx"...or nothing will change for you."
She was frowning, and that bothered Michael. Maybe he had declined her help too rudely? He looked apprehensive, he didn't really want to be cozying up with her, but it wasn't his goal to make her hate him either. He immediately felt guilty for how he acted, and annoyed that he gave her that power over him to feel guilty. She wasn't mean back, since she was a number like him, she actually seemed to care a bit about what was going on. Michael perked up at her description of his friend and quickly he straightened his posture, forgetting his soreness at the thought of her. Maybe because he had roused so suddenly at her description, but she quickly added that she would take him to her, and he nodded fervently.
"Cheza" he spoke politely, giving Lexillia the name that went with her description. His gaze also followed hers as another person entered the room. It was Nacht. Michael recognized him for sure. They didn't have many gene sessions together except for in the early stages, but he remembered the man clearly. he had a temper, and didn't like to be ******** around with. Right now he seemed pretty content with this new 'living' area. Had he already been down a while and seen the place?
He glanced back at Lexilia as she began to talk now to both of them. Cheza had been lead away for a 'tour' then? that'd be a laugh. Until he could get to her and help her deal with it, she'd likely not even be able to find the ceiling even after the most detailed tour. It really annoyed him that they couldn't just have let him go down first, so she wouldn't have been whisked away until he was sure she knew what would be happening to her.
The mention of this Abel guy being the very last survivor felt like a large rock in his stomach. Another reminder that this was where they were going to die, and another slap to anyone who he had personally seen die. His eager expression faded and his lips pressed together as he let that damper his mood. The blue haired woman seemed to know exactly what grim prospects there were as well, her face saddened and she could only whisper about what happened in Gene therapy. He decided he could trust her at least. She knew what was going on and wasn't trying to pretend.
He was about to reach out and try and comfort her, but as he was slipping his hands out of his pockets, another unfamiliar person revealed himself. Michael inhaled and his hand froze in the air, quickly withdrawing back to himself as the man slipped in to stand behind Lexilia and spoke. He knew immediately that he didn't care for this guy at all, and his body stiffened to a defensive posture as he began 'warning' them about consequences for causing trouble. Thinking of Nacht again and drawing from the older boys ideals for dealing with obstacles, he decided what he would say to that. His eyes hardened on Sean's, his eyes seeming to grow darker as he narrowed them.
"Careful... That sound's like a threat." He straightened his back and faced the man stubbornly, his meek attitude disappearing for a moment.
"I have seen other experi-- Other people scrapped because their bodies could not handle what was done to them! I've even seen what happened when the white coats can't c-controyl their 'numbers', too! "His voice was rising and beginning to crack as the words he spoke began to break the dam of his emotions.
"Don't act like it don't know consequences, because It's obviously fresher in my mind than it is ye-ours, but I'll say this:" his own voice quieted and lwoered a few octaves, conveying his grim sincerityon the matter. "I am not going to be the one to start any trouble, but If you touch me, Ever, Or even think to threaten Cheza in any way..." His breathing was getting labored and he stopped short, feeling suddenly dizzy and nauseous, a itchy burning sensation appearing wherever his clothes rubbed his skin. He was getting too worked up. His skin was beginning to mimic the materials he was touching, inching downwards in fuzzy irregular dyes colors, and it clung all over his arms and torso as if his skin itself was trying to absorb the fabric that it couldn't tell was him or not him.
He was forced to break his glare with Sean as he closed his eyes to focus himself. He was still angry at how easily the man had brought up scrapping, but if he lost his temper, he'd likely have to be sedated to get his body back in control. Digging his fingers into the palms of his leather gloves to ground himself, he focused on he human material that his skin was supposed to be composed of. As the marks receded leaving behind a rashy look, he tugged on his clothes at various points, separating it from his skin with ease. It wasn't bad that time. He sighed, feeling regret about losing his cool so easily. Today had been rough and usually he just shrugged and avoided arguing.
"Lexilia. I'm sorry for yelling. Can you take me to see Cheza? I think she would like to see the pool" He gave her a small smile and leaned back heavily on the wall to help his dizziness, knowing he looked rather weak. He was still breathing a bit roughly. His ability usually wasn't so bad if he could stay calm. It took way too much out of him otherwise.

She was quiet for a long time after he spoke. she watched him expressionless as he went from standing tall and strong and she watched him lean against the door frame as if if could bear the weight of what troubles were hidden in his mind. She didn't mean to analyze him or to collect his data to throw into that bottomless bucket that was her mind, but she couldn't help but to listen as his secrets whispered to her from her subconscious and fragmented imagination.
"It's sad isn't it?" She asked quietly, her gaze leveling steady with his. She looked at him for a long time, the longest she'd looked at anyone in a good while, at least while actually seeing them and who they were. She smiled wistfully as she processed the cracks in his perfectly practiced persona. He wasn't just the police man, she could see, and that wasn't what separated his existence from the other's. He wasn't just lonely, either. He was completely alone. He didn't know it, but she could see his hurt and rage pouring out of those tiny cracks.
Obedient as always, she walked away and picked up the meaningless piece of plastic that lay on her bed, but quickly returned to Abel's side, tilting her head as she stared at him. He had sealed up his cracks already and she couldn't see what he was thinking in his face anymore. Cold. Her smile faded and she looked away from his face, following a mote of dust that had gotten thrown into the air, likely when she was pulling drawers. The air felt heavy,no. that wasn't the air.
"Why?" She whispered to the, not really paying attention anymore. "Why does it all have to fall to you. If she had stayed, then it wouldn't hurt so bad!" She sounded accusing, but her face betrayed none of these expressions, just the same soft frown as she voiced the thought that had been more of a bubble bursting into her consciousness. She didn't know what it meant or if it meant anything at all.

She. That one word released the memories still clear as day, but buried underneath a concrete prison. The girl was a Mental type, but the facility had known better than to attempt clairvoyance after their first try. She was specific, a pinpointed type, and even he wasn't to know the exact details until told by the experiment themselves. He guessed calculations, reading between the lines, information gathering to the nth degree. Otherwise that one word wouldn't have been uttered in his regard. The best she could hope for was it was a miscalculation based on events of the previous hour.
Still his carefully ironed coat of neutrality wrinkled right down the middle, at that word. His better judgement pounding away at his emotions, a winning battle, but desperate struggle. Cheza was about to see something he much preferred only the scientists knew about.
"Because..." Abel's voice dropped into a quiet carefully restrained anger. He forced his eyes closed, knowing what was to come. "...it would fall to one of you." A soft tightening noise, like well used leather, came from his body. His fists clenched visibly, the skin on them suddenly tight, almost wrinkle free. However that was the subtle, the obvious was a black claw-like mark growing, peaking it's way out of his shirt's collar on the right side of his neck. It halted just visible, as Abel restrained himself.
For the briefest of instances, as soon as he opened his eyes to stare at the young girl, his pupils were slitted, and his eyes were a brilliant demonic red. It passes as soon as his eyes fully opened, but he could guess she saw it. The anger, the promise of threat there and gone in an instant.
Meeting her eyes, the progenitor experiment, relaxed himself with a breath. "Now, let's move on." Standing, he turned away from her, and walked out the door. The tiny black stain on his skin had vanished from sight by now. He could have left her to her own devices, but that wasn't his job. He could have let her get driven to madness in her own head, but he wouldn't. He'd make sure she lived, selfish as it was, he'd make sure they all did.
He left the doorway into the hall, stopping at the dissecting hallway, and looking back at her door, waiting to see what she would do.

A mistake. She had made a mistake. A miscalculation, an Error. She, without knowing what the playing field or pieces were, had overstepped. Somehow her actions had splintered open one of the cracks she had been looking at a moment ago. She could feel it. It was the 'heaviness' in the air that her own emotions were trying to mirror from him. He had been hiding the cracks from her, from everybody for a long time now. Cheza supposed that all she wanted was to know why, she didn't expect that those tiny little slivers of bitterness and pain had threaded down chasms of rage and agony. She didn't know they were that big. He was trying not to break now, and she knew that if she wanted to know anything more, and not get hurt, she needed to stay very, very, extremely still.
So she froze. She focused in on herself and being small. She held her arms and face, her everything, perfectly still. She kept her eyes open, unblinking and she even held her breath. Adrenaline flowed, and her heart beat uncontrollably, but that only steadied her mind and her resolve that she must not think, she must. Not. Move. Not even a hair twitched on her little head. Quite the opposite, Abel seemed to shake with his emotions. As still as Cheza was, she could hear his every muscle moving under his skin. He was coiling like a snake about to strike, but snakes only struck prey or threats. She was not a threat. She didn't believe he could hurt her.
As he spoke, Cheza allowed herself to move her eyes. Her eyes flicked from his mouth, to his eyes and back down towards his limbs. Even his hair stood up taller, the tiny muscles in each follicle must be stiffening. His eyes were very interesting though, once he opened his eyes, and her gaze lingered there for some time. He was crouched, so his eyes were right at her level. She could not miss them. They looked fine now, but she knew they had been brighter and different. Her still face didn't show it, but on top of all the physical distortions he was performing, that one topped the list of her curiosity. Red Eye. There was no other part of him that she didn't know down to it's last intimate detail. How had that detail escaped her mind?
Still holding her breath and posture, she watched as he left the room, and listened as his footsteps echoed down the hall for a good distance before stopping. Her heart slowing, and her head starting to pound from holding her breath, She let it out in an explosive sigh, just as quickly gasping up as much fresh air as she could. Relaxing, she slumped her body forward over his hips, and touched her fingertips to her toes. Swinging her arms, she brought herself upright, and reached for the ceiling. She walked towards the door, and closed it behind her as she left.
Looking up the hall, she caught Abel's gaze. Only for a moment dd she hesitate before a small smile crossed her face, looking more relieved than anything. Slipping the card into her shirt pocket, she hurried over to him, her slippers sliding noisily on the carpeted floor as she ran. Stopping behind him, she straightened, silently waiting for him to announce the next part of the tour.
