She couldn't keep from frowning a little when he said it was foggy. She knew he wouldn't remember her being there, but she'd hoped the rest of it would have somehow been clear. An island, a tomb...and yes. She agreed there were others. And--
"Yeah," her hand went a little subconsciously to her flask. "It's the same place your dagger came from. I...was hoping you might remember details I don't." She wished it wouldn't still hurt, the whole being forgotten thing. She smiled anyway- that wasn't the point of her questions anyway. "But I understand if it's foggy. It has been a while."
Another smile, this one more genuine somehow. "What did you want to get into now?"

He really tried to remember. Really. It had been so long ago... a year maybe? He didn't know anymore. But, if her flask came from the same place... "... oh. We... got these together, didn't we?" His hand subconsciously went to his dagger also, and he felt bad he brought up unpleasant memories.
Wait, if he didn't remember her, he shouldn't even have remembered the artifact, or, well, recognized it at all. Perhaps it was just an intuition, considering his own dagger had similar runes, and it was pretty obvious what Sherry's weapon was, but part of him liked to think that maybe he hadn't actually forgotten everything. Maybe, if he tried hard enough, he could remember.
"Um, what details did you want?"

She hated sad smiles, but sometimes they just happened. "Yeah." She shrugged. "It was a long time ago, though." She meant it to sounds like it was okay he'd forgotten.
"I, uh, just wanted to know what you remembered seeing. Architecture, decorations, traps... What you felt about the place. This one," she patted her flask, "and the others. It's not a big deal. I can always just go back to take notes."

Though she tried to hide it, he knew he had hurt her feelings, and he frowned. Even without trying, he was already screwing up. Reaching out, he took her hands, lifting them to his lips as he kissed them. "I'm sorry I still can't remember things about us, but, I can try to remember a bit more..."
His brows furrowed in concentration as he tried to remember as much as he could. "I remember... shadow creatures, and... tiles. And... lava?" At least that would explain the weird burn mark on his leg. "And..." Well, there was a temple, which meant, royalty? It was also pretty old, and the name of his artifact, "Tusk of Ares". Ares... was the god of war, wasn't he? So maybe...
"Temple... of the Gods." He said slowly. That sounded about right. He gave Sherry a curious look. "What do you need all this information for?" He hoped she wasn't planning on scouting out the place herself again. Though it was a long time ago, at the very least, he knew it was dangerous.

Sherry shook her head, squeezing his hands in reply. "It's okay, I mean it." She really did. She understood that he didn't remember her, and she felt a little bad for bringing it up. She'd kind of hoped to avoid the part where he had forgotten her. But memories about the temple and it's mountain were more than welcome. They were what she was after today. "Yeah. Shadows and lava..." More nods of agreement. Yes. He did remember it, at least a little. "That's the place!" Her gaze shifted to the side, a tinge of embarrassment showing. "I just want to find out more about places like that. They're interesting, as long as they're not actively trying to kill us." She shrugged. "I want to study them more. Do some exploring and whatnot."

He had totally forgot about the mountain climbing, but that wasn't important.... right?
Part of him was glad she had told him her intentions, but... the idea of her WANTING to visit such dangerous places worried him a little. "Well, if you do, let me know, ok? I'll come along too." Ever the overprotective boyfriend.

There were worse things to forget.
"I will," she said, smiling and leaning in to hug him, "because of course you are coming with." He was so helpful and adorable.

Jake returned the hug, glad that she was being honest. "Did you... have any idea on where you wanted to go?"

"Not yet." She shook her head. "I'm still doing a bit of research." She wasn't sure if she wanted to re-examine places she'd been, or see about going somewhere new.
"Have you heard of anything you wanted to check out?" He had been the one to find them places to explore before.

"Alright..." He knew he shouldn't worry, but the thought of Sherry wanting to visit dangerous places still made him uncomfortable. Her question only made him shake his head.
"Not really, though I guess I should at least try checking out some places."

Sherry thought it sounded kind of fun. Sure, she usually thought a little differently when said dangerous places turned out to be dark and filled with monsters, but the idea of them was still...fun.
"You should. And you should bring me with you."

And them Sherry slowly turned into Jake and the world was never right again. "Um, sure, yes..." He clearly wasn't convinced. "But for now, how about we do something else? Like, um... food?"

"Good," she said, even though he didn't sound the least bit like he wanted to go checking out strange places with her. Somewhere in her mind, that registered as the sensible way to feel. Sadly, that was the same part of her mind that had told her not to join up with strange monster hunter people in the first place.
"Hrm." She wrapped her arms around one of his. "Food sounds like a great idea." Now that he had mentioned food, she certainly wanted some. "Let's."
