Lillixandra took another chocolate out of the bag and handed it to him, laughing at herself and Tylar's comment.
"I'm Lillixandra Nepehle Apollo, or Lillix if you prefer. Or Lilli. Really, I go by anything. My name is quite the mouthful!" She had hopped a few feet in front of him deftly to say her name with a curtsy and a flourish of her right hand. After introducing herself, she straightened up and continued walking alongside him, occasionally handing him pieces of chocolate.
A few moments passed and Lillix was holding a chocolate out for her new acquaintance to take, but a passing gull snatched it instead.
"Hey!" she called after the bird, then turned to Tylar to apologize and laugh about it. But he wasn't there. "Huh," she said with a nonchalant shrug, then tossed the now empty paper bag in a nearby trashcan.
A little while later, Lillixandra had a strange feeling, like she absolutely had to take flight. She gave a reckless grin and began sprinting down the boardwalk and up the stairs of a small lighthouse. People jumped out of her way, and a few cursed at her. She took the lighthouse stairs two at a time and soon reached the top.
There was no hesitation as she jumped upon the railing and dove off the metal bars. Her arms were outspread and in no less than a second the Change overtook her. She felt her arms catch fire and her body get light and smaller. A gust of wind caught her and catapulted her into the air, the fire on her wings fluttering.
Lilli gave a happy shriek and she glided contentedly over the boardwalk in the direction of the bar, and eventually, fights. It wasn't long before she saw a group that caught her attention. It was Tylar, two girls, and a boy. Lillix gave a coo of curiosity and circled overhead before landing on a nearby electric line beside some distraught gulls and preened her fiery feathers, listening in on their conversation. The only thing she caught was something about a roof.
Emilio Rhapsodos: Just Your Friendly Neighborhood Bar Owner
Emilio had finished putting up another poster and was right about to grab his stack and move on to the next location. He was proud of himself, being able to recuperate so quickly and start a business like it was nothing. First chance he got, he would have to send a message to his father and thank him for the wise words and lessons that the older Nekalian had engraved into his memory. But for now, it was back to the poster posting to get some employees on payroll. Emilio was about to pick up his stack after his moment of deep thought, when he felt someone tap him on the shoulder. He very quickly glanced back, and when he noticed it was the target (girl) from earlier, he faced her fully. She was a tad shorter than he was, and her physical features did not stick out much but she had a certain fire about her... that dimmed right after she mentioned the name of her home. He supposed it might be due to nervousness or embarrassment, but then he realized that his tail and ears were tucked away. No wonder, she thought he was human!
"You walk among friends here, Oni child." He unfolded his ears and let his tail uncurl from underneath his coat. "If you are of legal drinking age wherever you are from, I have no problem hiring you. It's only two human dollars above minimum wage though, and as this is a bar, I'm sure it might get a bit... rowdy, for lack of a better term. Even then, are you willing to take it?" Him and his big, yet truthfully honest, mouth! The way he put it, he might as well have kissed a new employee goodbye! He managed to keep a straight face as he waited for her decision, but internally he was panicking.

"Some there be that shadows kiss; Such have but a shadow's bliss."
Tylar grinned. He liked these two.
"I guess. Though, when you work with shadows, you can't help but be fast."
Which was partially true. He'd been using Focus the entire time, increasing the speed of his reflexes. They were normally nowhere near that fast. He would never play shortstop with his normal reflexes.
"It's fine. I should've realized you weren't attacking me. But hey, at least I evaded, instead of countering?"
Which would have been bad.
It would have harmed his reputation, as well as possibly resulted in her brother and the dragon attacking him, forcing him to retreat to his grotto. Her brother might have been easy to fend off, but he wasn't stupid enough to tangle with a dragon.
Not that I have to worry about tangling with her brother. he seems like a cool dude, even if he is a little suspicious.
Tylar shrugged, unconcerned with the sky.
"The Tower reported a thunderstorm today. Rain doesn't bother me at all."

As Alana walked along the boardwalk with her normal unapproachable expression, she noticed the happy people talking and let out a light sigh, stuffing her hands in her pockets and continuing on. As she walked, she noticed a small kitten meowing. It was small and appeared hungry. Luckily Alana had a sandwich in her backpack she had with her. Unzipping her bag, she pulled out her tuna sandwich and knelt down in front of the kitten, extending a piece of the tunafish to it. "C'mere.. I won't hurt you." She said to the kitten as it cautiously came towards her and ate the tuna from her hand. A small smile crossed the girl's face as she took some more tuna out of her sandwich, extending the pieces to the cat.
She was so involved in feeding the kitten, she didn't notice anything else around her.

Aiden shrugged, a small smile curling the corners of his mouth. “It happens a lot, actually. We should probably start introducing ourselves as siblings,” he said to Will. He was over his earlier amusement, and clearly not bothered by the whole mix up. It would happen again, and the people in this town would learn soon enough about how close the twins were. Aiden showed some interest when Will started talking about dragon customs. He had always been interested in dragon customs, and the one and only other dragon he and Addy had come across had been quite a jerk.
The weather and the time were very important to Aiden just now, so he found himself watching the sky quite often. He had just mixed up a new potion, one that may or may not give him fabulous powers, but it had to be taken at a certain time and while it was raining. Hopefully today would be the day that he could take it. “Actually, I’m going to be needing the rain today,” he added in after Will and Tylar started to discuss the weather. “It’s, ah, very important for a certain experiment of mine.” He didn’t elaborate, and he didn’t plan to. He didn’t like discussing his projects with people he didn’t know.
As he was glancing at the sky once again, Aiden noticed something new. A magnificent bird had perched itself nearby, and appeared to be watching them. The creature was stunning, and reminded him very much of a phoenix. But this thing couldn’t be a phoenix, could it? Those were very rare nowadays, and to his knowledge, tended to stick together. Aiden just smiled kindly at the bird, but otherwise didn’t draw any attention to it. He thought it was rude to gawk and point.
Addison stayed quiet while her brother explained things to Will, bouncing on the balls of her feet. “Is that true? How come dragons, if they, what is it, have the same bloodline, become mates? How does the whole “mates” thing work? Like lovers, or soul mates or…” She trailed off, losing track of what she was saying. Addy was just as curious as Aiden, but much less polite and more eager for answers now. Hopefully this dragon wouldn’t huff and act all rude like the last one. Oh well, maybe that was just a dragon thing.
She cracked a smile at Tylar, when he spoke about not countering. “True, then things would have gotten pretty messy.” She laughed a little, and shook her head at the thought. She and Aiden would cream him, especially since he had made them each charms that amped their powers. He recharged them regularly, even when the sources weren’t yet exhausted. Aiden didn’t believe in being underprepared. Still, she didn’t want to underestimate Tylar. Addy eyed him consideringly, now very curious about what an actual fight between them might look like. Hopefully she wouldn’t find out.
“Oh, I really love being out in the rain, actually,” She threw in after Aiden’s little hint of an experiment. She was very excited to see the results of that project of his, but she was just as eager to be in the rain. She liked to throw her lightning into the sky and watch as it spread through the rain drops and fizzle out when it got spread too thin. It was really pretty neat. She didn’t notice the Phoenix.

øυτ øƒ сøƒƒεε: So sorry for the late reply! I normally try and post at least once a day, but boy have I been busy lately! So sorry- I'll try and post more often!!
Will had already noticed the perched bird overhead, and he even noticed that it was a Phoenix which surprised him a bit. He laughed lightly at Aiden's comment about them introducing themselves as siblings. He looked over at Tylar as he commented about the tower and how it had said there would be a thunderstorm and Aiden mentioned something about needing the rain for an experiment and how Addison liked standing in the rain. He smirked lightly before speaking, "I guess we could stay out, but while the tower's forcast isn't exactly wrong, it isn't right. There isn't going to be any rain because it's going to be a lightning storm, and honestly I trust my own senses more than any machine's for such a thing. I mean, I wouldn't have a problem standing outside during a lightning storm, but I dunno about you three." He stated bluntly and honestly with a light smile as dark clouds started to be seen in the sky. He blinked a bit at Addison's comment about how mates work, "Well, it's basically marriage, at least that's what humans call it, but it's also when two dragons start making baby dragons." He replied honestly with a smile, at least that was how he viewed it because generally mates stay together for life.

Agent Rissa
Stahl § Venerra
"Come along with me, we'll fly between worlds, Through purple forests and frostbitten skies, Diving deep, we'll make these late nights memorable..."
There was something about the boardwalk that always made Stahl curious, specifically why it had gotten so popular so fast. Was it the view? The small shops and stalls that had been set up? The smell of sea water? He didn't know, but it wasn't exactly a place he stayed often. Frankly, it was the seagulls that turned him away from the area. Having a decent grasp of the avian language, the constant call for food was a headache in itself. Then there were the people that decided to indulge the birds in their request, even if they didn't understand the consistent squawks. Once one was fed, the others would, rather loudly, flock in for their turn under the expectancy that if one would be given food, so should the others. To Stahl, it was a neverending annoyance during the popular visiting times, not nearly quiet enough to let him think, but he was no exactly here under his own will. No, that paper he had to write still required more investigation. True, had he not procrastinated above the clouds earlier, he would've been out of here by now, but the dark-haired male held no regrets, it was a rather nice moment of peace after all.
As he walked around, idly casting his gaze over a multitude of people, some of which he had seen in other locations previously, one individual in particular made him tilt his head in curiosity...or rather, one individual and what appeared to be a young kitten. Though his path had already been set to pass by relatively closely, it became more apparent that he was approaching the blonde-haired woman when he stopped at a nearby lightpost and leaned lightly against it, a slight smirk emerging onto his face as he took in the details of the scene. "I'd be careful if I were you." He said, his tone loud enough only for her to hear. "Keep on feeding it and it'll follow you home...you wouldn't want to break the poor thing's heart by shooing it away later, would you?"
"I'm crystallised, I'm lost in my head, But with you, my only hope, I can begin this boundless renewal."

After being there a moment, Lillixandra learned that the boy and girl standing next to each other were twins (although that didn't surprise her since they looked alike) and the other girl wasn't a girl at all! He was a dragon! This was very fascinating to her; Mabel raised her on stories about these legendary beings and how rare it was to meet one. She almost fell off the electric line she was so stunned. Instead, she gave an excited screech that made her self-conscious afterwards.
She noticed that the boy and the dragon had both noticed her, and seemingly acknowledged her with their gazes. Most people just saw her as a beautiful exotic bird, and not the were-bird she (thought) she was. She had no idea she was a phoenix, born from the ashes of a previous life. Surely Mabel would tell her if she was something like that, right? Lilli decided she would wait to reveal herself when someone said something directly to her. And so she sat, preening her feathers and spitting harmless flames at the rude, jealous pigeons that would fly by and taunt her.

Hei Ryung Satoshi ONIHIME
But it’s ok now...what are you worrying about... [Chorus]
The man turned, and Hei Ryun had to give him a dubious look of her own. He was a pretty young man himself, and only a little taller. She glanced at his eyes, and they were bright red. Red eyes. How many humans have red eyes? She wasn't sure if they came with red eyes at all or not.
"You walk among friends here, Oni child," he answered. Hei Ryung blinked her eyes wide. He was able to tell! Or maybe he knew Deepdell Grotto. Either way, a tail dropped out from under his coat and two black, white-tipped ears popped out from under his hair.
"Oh!"
"If you are of legal drinking age wherever you are from, I have no problem hiring you. It's only two human dollars above minimum wage though, and as this is a bar, I'm sure it might get a bit... rowdy, for lack of a better term. Even then, are you willing to take it?"
Hei Ryung clapped her hands on her mouth. "For real? Just like that?" She could not wish for a better opportunity. Not only had she miraculously run into a generous roommate and a lucky little black kitten for a pet, fortune had the gall to even present her with a job so filled with nostalgia that her eyes nearly welled up with tears. Nearly. She sniffed and extended her hand, grinning. "Mister, you had me at two dollars above minimum wage."
She could see it. The lazy afternoon drinking back in the grotto. The rowdy brawls with warm mead, wine, whiskey, and more than a little of the hard stuff, stomachable only for the Oni, heating her blood. Working for a pub seemed like the ideal job for Hei Ryung. "That is, if you'll have me. I'm above the legal drinking age of the Oni, and I'm pretty tough, so if things do get 'rowdy' you can count on me."
Keep your grind on girl...it’s your love, it’s your world... [repeat 2x]
Emilio Rhapsodos: Just Your Friendly Neighborhood Bar Owner
Emilio's panic faded away when she had noticed his ears and tail. Maybe because she seemed much more open-minded than he had taken her for. Generally people around her age, that is to say young people, generally don't like the whole concept of working hard and getting paid for it. He admitted he had underestimated her greatly and so when she had asked him is he was serious, he had nodded casually as his grin widened a little further. If it was this easy to get an Oni to work for them, well he would luck out here after all. He remembered Deepdell Grotto as one of those Oni villages that were out in the sticks, but a better brew could not be found. So if she knew how to make drinks, he would be rolling in profit soon. His ears perked when she very nearly started crying.
At first, he thought he had done something wrong, but he laughed when she made her joke about wages. "That convincing a sales pitch, huh?" He had chuckled again before shaking her hand. Generally, when a young Nekalian met a young lady he would do the gentlemanly kiss-the-knuckles thing, but handshakes symbolized a Nekalian trusting you with business, but he doubted she knew where he was from. "If you're as tough as you say, I won't even need to get my own hands dirty. Welcome aboard." So far one employee down... And until business started to pick up in waves, she would be all he needed.

Tylar's ears popped as the barometric pressure dropped, signifying rain approaching. his ears were sensitive and high-pitched noises could incapacitate him easily.

Ren Yamachi
"This was supposed to be a second chance, not an eternity."
C-C-Can I touch you ears? Neko-chan? The words had come from Ren, who had been mostly sitting in the background after the girl had told him about her family issues and pondered whether he was the same age as her. Ironically he was younger, but that was a story for another time, right now he was entranced by the young neko males' ears, transfixed on them. "Please, they're so soft and cute.... can I touch them?" He asked again, moving closer to the male as the reached out for the ears in a zombie-like state. Hyo sat on his shoulder, simply watching what was going on as Ren could not help but obsess over the man. If the Nekalian would let him, Ren would probably start patting him on the head and playing with his ears as if he were a cat just like Hyo, if the cat-person let him that is. Otherwise he would probably end up just being very sad and depressed that the neko guy was so mean to him. Ren's actions completely depended on whatever the man in front of him let him do, but he sincerely hoped he would be allowed to pet him... and touch his ears.
As for Hyo, Ren was completely alright with the name, despite not being able to say so to the girl right now considering how zombie-like he was. The rent thing was also not much of a problem with him, honestly he would have let her stay for free, but if she felt she needed to pay rent then that was up to her, as he could not stop her. Their conversation had sort of went past him since he had been playing with Hyo, so he also did not know that she had just secured a job. All he knew was that there was a cat in front of him... a human cat.... and he wanted to pet him. I really am hopeless when it comes to felines, aren't I? He thought to himself as he continued to stand there, waiting for a reply or something from the other boy. Why were there so many cats running around today anyway!? Just where did they all come from so suddenly!? Oh well, all he could do to make this day seem a bit brighter is pet as many cats as he possibly could and show his absolute obsession over them in the best way possible.

Trisha Zoey Murray
~Hey there cutie
Trish walked onto the boardwalk. It was just another day to earn money. She wanted to make some bank today and there were always tourist who wanted to meet a fortune teller or maybe have a beautiful girl to escort them around. She was doing double duty today. Finding costumers for herself and for her mother. At least if she didn't find anyone to be her costumer then she'd get paid by her mother.
As she walked around slowly. She wanted to take in as much detail as possible. Being in a rush meant missing something. It didn't take long tell her eyes landed on two men and two girls. By their posture it was easy to tell that none of them were part of a couple, nor where they friends. A grin came to the girls lips and she flipped her hair back before moving towards the group.
Once she reached the crowd she smiled. "Hello, are you guys interested in my services?" She said looking at the men before turning to the girls. "My mother does fortune-telling and matchmaking services." She told the girls. What girl didn't dream of finding true love and what man didn't dream of a beautiful girl in his arms. The woman passed them each a flyer.
Emilio Rhapsodos: Just Your Friendly Neighborhood Bar Owner
Emilio was about to explain to his new employee how things would work out and when she would be able to come over for training, when some sort of strange pervert appeared! Does he not know that a Nekalians ears were only to be touched by their closest of relations? His own mother rarely touched his ears for meowing out loud! As the pervert walked closer, they would feel a small drop in temperature and notice that the Nekalian was gone. He had cryported behind his new employee, who would also feel a small chill. "Well Hei Ryung, first order of business... Who is that sicko. and can you take him?" The Isles rarely had perverted people visit, and Nekalians by nature weren't generally perverted either, so Emilio had no idea how to handle this. In hindsight, he could have frozen the guy, but that reminded him of... her. He was about to rescind his previous order and take care of it himself, when another voice spoke up, advertising her service. He turned slowly, and his small frown grew larger.
He had read before hand that prostitution was apparently legal here, but he didn't expect said prostitutes to be so... forward about their dealings. She could smell it on her, the very faint smell of different colognes mixing together, and it made his nose scrunch up. "No thanks." He responded in monotone. He had enough of women for his lifetime, and he would not stoop low enough to ever attempt anything with another for a long time.
