The wolf struggled harder at that, and Sorrow nearly lost a hold of the fur. She was unusually heavy for her size, though.

He smacked it across its snarling face for its trouble.

Sorrow got pushed back, and wiped her mouth, which was dripping.
"A lot of people don't like, listen," she said, rolling her rocky teeth around, and trying to swallow back "Like really listen." It really wasn't going back down too well. "So, some other people don't like, try any more, but it's all relative mon. Sometimes you've got to look like, beyond, you know?"
Then she spat on Jan.
The spit, surprisingly, was tingly, and fear-filled, and sort of refreshing.
She coughed. "Um, it does that sometimes."

Lawr blinked slowly as he was spat on, and it was enough to make him halt in his combat stride, giving the gargoyle a cold look with his claws flared out.
Butch barked and Lawr turned his attentions back to the wolf.
The runes blazed on the gauntlets as he let the stored up fear bloom through them.

Thankfully the hood was cool with it. But that put her back on dogs that need to chill duty.
Hoods's claws started having some kind of glow party.
"Heyyy, you got one too," she said, getting her grip back.

He sunk the blades deep into the wolf again, eliciting a pained snarl from it for his troubles and a boost to his shield. Butch snarled more furiously than he had been as there was a fleeting taste of fear that wasn't his own through the haze of combat.
"One what?" he snapped, irritable at his own clumsy lack of experience. There were so many weak points and opportunities but his experience welding the gauntlets just wasn't sufficient to align them with said weaknesses. "A charge?"

She hung on, instead of snapping her fingers, but the distraction was evident as the wolf almost ripped free.

She dug her feet into the ground.

Another swipe and he siphoned off more fear to bolster what bared teeth and surging muscle had dented, he wasn't sure how much longer the creature - Sorrow's - spit healing would last either. This creature needed to die and it needed to die quickly.
