"Thank you." Ripley nodded to Solia's congratulations, offering his own smile. When Finn's abrasive nature started to distress her, the Trainee reached over to pat her hand. "Ignore the porcupine, he doesn't know how to be nice, and he's too old to learn how." For a moment the conversation after was drowned by the roar of the crowd, and Ripley had leaned away from Solia to get a better look at the screen.

"YEAH CROSBY! Thatta boy~" Ripley cheered, definitely not as loud and boisterous as the rest of the group, but excited by his own standards. When everything settled down, he realized Finn was talking to him. Thankfully he didn't need to answer, and instead happily turned his attention towards Ian and Shiloh.

"Take him out back?" He suggested with a grin, lifting a gloved hand to mime a gun.

It was rare to see Kat up this late unless she was a) just heading to bed, or b) up on duty. But when a Olympic gold medal hockey game with Canada was involved, there was no stopping her. Having downed at least five coffees, and working her way through a sixth, Kat draped herself over her fellow Canadian buddy, staring at the television screen with caffeinated eyes. "Helloooo."

Not bothering to move, the Sun hunter began petting the blonde hunter's head, eyes still glued to the game.

The promise of free coffee would be a nice enough net profit, he decided. Around ten minutes later, he arrived. Jack assumed there would be a sizeable group he could lose himself in at least, and he was correct: lucky him, it was mostly people he knew anyway.

Lucky Chel was the first to get his attention, which consisted of a passing glance and a brisk shove of a list--yes, a list--of the things he wanted her to buy. "Order drinks in their largest sizes if asked," he instructed her. "Just the first meal for now. I'll signal you when I am ready for more."

The List

meal 01
hazelnut iced capp supreme
hearty vegetable soup
whole grain blueberry muffin

meal 02
tuscan chicken panini
chili + bread

meal 03
regular yogurt with raspberries and blackberries
double unsweetened espresso shots

He then chose to stand off to the side from the growing group, because familiar faces or not, Jack stilll didn't really people well. His gaze was fixed on the screen with a studious look.

If Finn wanted to be prickly- "I am not a frog. If I am I would think myself a dart frog. Small, cute, but ou should not threaten me for very obvious reasons. The smaller one are the more deadly ones. That is how many animals operate you know."

She smiled, perking up even more when Dorian came bringing the gift of more hot chocolate. "Flavrit." she whispered to him, before practically glowing with happiness.

"I know a bit about hockey but- because it's olympics there will be no fights oui? Isn't that the good part? A Canadian thing?" She was genuinely curious.

Dorian got another punch for his efforts, a less 'enthusiastic' one this time. "******** you, it has nothing to do with being nice. I haven't had a ******** coffee in ******** forever, that s**t on the island doesn't count."

Nick glanced over at Ripley and Solia, and rather than ignoring the comments or brushing it off, she gave a wry grin. "Never had a ******** target this easy!" Perhaps it was the canadian atmosphere, but then again, she did decide to prove her point in the worst way possible. She proceeded to tap Finn's face with the end of her straw while he tried to focus on the game, getting a drip of iced cappuccino on his cheek. It was all too easy to ignore the guy's cursing.

The girl had taken two sips from the cold drink before she had cracked open the lid of her coffee, and took a long drink from that one as well. It was early, why the hell not. This would be about as much extravagance as she could afford for the month so she might as well enjoy it.

When she saw Ian enter the room, she slammed down the coffee. "HEY YOU DRUNK ********!" She shouted, and it was hard to tell if it was a greeting or an outburst of anger.

Ryan had to choke back a laugh at Kat's sudden appearance, which only resulted in a snort through his nose. Clearly she too was enjoying the match. Not to mention the endless supply of coffee. Which just so happened was far better than the watery crap they were used to getting back on the island. Clearly it was no surprise to see that the notorious coffee fiend was already getting her fill and more.

"Hey Kat." He greeted, before giving a muffled sound of amusement when she draped herself against him and began to ruffle his hair. An action which he didn't bother to stop, nor fix after it left his hair looking a little more wild than it usually was. Though with her current attitude, one had to wonder if she spiked the coffee, or if she was simply in high spirits. "What did I miss so far?"

Shiloh followed in tow behind Ian, almost entirely not shy about holding Ian's hand and definitely excited to see everyone, especially in a setting where everyone seemed so excited. Sports were always good for that, for camaraderie and fun. He truthfully didn't follow hockey all that much himself, even if he was familiar with it but the Olympics were always a special occasion and he was glad to tag along.

He laughed as Ian wrapped Finn in a hug, shaking his head, untangling his hand from Ian's with a squeeze before swatting him on the head, and plunking down in the seat next to Finn.

"Get us a coffee, maybe?" he grinned at Ian, teasing. Then relenting as he always did, "Pleeease?"

A loud voice caught his attention and he glanced over, a bit surprised. It was certainly an increasingly rowdy bunch, and he smiled, shaking his head again, shooting Ian a curious look.

She could have moved by now, but still she remained draped over the moon hunter like a second coat. Its true, the mention of Tim Hortons coffee helped in luring the Sun hunter to this little outing, but the game itself was alluring itself. Besides, this was the first time she had been treated to Timmies coffee since she had 'died' and become a hunter.

"Crosby scored a goal, and our goalie is a brick wall." Was all she said before taking another sip from her coffee. Glancing off to the side when spotting a green haired male in the room, Kat gestured a lazy wave to Jack.

All Dakota need to hear was party.

He wasn't Canadian but somewhere down his bloodlines of native americans, there was probably a small line of something there.

Soon enough, Kat would find a moon hunter draped over her, to complete a moon, sun and moon sandwich with Ryan on the bottom.

It was the circle of life.

"Who scored what and what is this sport...?" obviously Dakota had no idea what hockey was and took a sip of his coffee. "Who's the good guys? Which ones better?" He asked, "Oh s**t do they get in fights?"

When Dory gave her a lesson on French (which she already knew), she responded, "Oh! Ou est le chien?" Now she was just ******** with him, poor thing.

Then Jack arrived (hard to miss the beanstalk) and her attentions were taken. Chel gave Jack a flat look, staring at the list he'd handed her. Seriously? Vegetable soups and muffins? "Uh. Dude. You know they don't have like half this s**t here, right?"

She attempted to put the list back in his hands and said, "I said I'd buy you coffee. Gotta at least talk me up if you want a meal." She gave him a grin, not taking it to heart. She noticed his eyes were glued on the screen, rather quizzically. "What, you actually into this olympics stuff? I knew you liked basketball, but hockey? Really?"

Chel threw her hands behind her head, leaning back loosely. Having Jack here was actually making her feel a lot better. "Never pegged you for a mountie boy~"

"s**t, you serious?" He already missed a goal? Wait, what was the score. He was about to question further when yet another joined them in the booth. This time it was an all too familiar moon hunter. One who happened to get a wry grin before the coffee in his hand was snatched away from him.

"Aww thanks Dakota, you shouldn't have." He gave the coffee a little shake as the grin grew wider. The thought had crossed his mind to nab Kat's coffee, but that was just asking to get decked.

"Dude, how can you not know what hockey is?" He gave the other moon hunter a shove and 'tsked' at him and paused momentarily. "And Canada is, obviously."

With Dakota now draped over her, sandwiching her between both Moon hunters, it now took extra effort to drink her coffee. Wheezing out a hello, Kat craned her neck in attempt to get a look at Dakota, but gave up half way through. Though, if she were able to, she would have looked him in the eye with a very questionable look when he asked them what hockey was.

"What? Seriously? How can you not have heard of hockey? Its only the best sport out there!" Oh yes, Kat was more awake now. "Obviously Canada has the best team, because, well.. its Canada." Que Canadian pride.

The Canadian pride speech would have gone on longer, if it wasn't for the larger male limiting the amount of air she was taking in. Instead, she settled with struggling to drink her coffee again.

"Sure Ryan no problem, I don't mind sharing my cooties, by all means drink it..." Dakota gave Ryan a very scary smile, the kind of one that might've put something in his coffee. Maybe Ryan would be feeling a bit...HAPPIER, the more he drank. "Enjoy, my moon bro."

He snorted at both of their reactions. "I grew up in Colorado, Football is what we played." and watched like a whole bunch of people on ice like piled on each other.

It was kind of like football right?

"So what, they get the black little thing into the goal...OH I REMEMBER THIS s**t. MIGHTY DUCKS!!!"

Finn was on the brink of losing it. Because this was hockey god ******** damnit, and if a bunch of assholes were just going to show up to whine about how they didn't understand the sport and make a bunch of noise and poke him in the face with their straws he was just going to-----

Arms wrapped around him from behind, and for a moment, just one bright shining second, he thought that Fini had arrived to save him.

Wrong.

"I'll tell you what you can do to me. You can suck my---Oh hi Shiloh." Finn cut off abruptly when he saw the pink haired man, offering him a cold smile because that was the best he had right now (and generally the best it ever got), though he was genuinely pleased to see the other man, alive and well.

"Okay scratch what I was going to say, you can pour a shot of whiskey into my coffee cup, since we all know you've got a flask on you somewhere. Do not. Even. Deny it." Finn had to take off his pristine, white glove before he could reach up to rub the iced cap off of his cheek, very subtly flipping Nick the bird while doing so.

And on to Solia. "Don't take offense, sweetheart. I've had frog before. They can actually be quite delicious, if prepared properly." His tone of voice suggested that he wasn't actually discussing cuisine but, more then likely, something else entirely.

Ripley next. ".....You can take me out back anytime, Ripples. Just say the word~ We can shoot off fireworks together." Definitely insinuating more then what the other man originally intended.

Ryan immediately stopped himself from taking a sip and instead eyed the beverage suspiciously; frowning. "I always knew you were diseased." He sighed, handing it back to the other moon hunter. "Take it away, I fear one hopelessly infected hunter is bad enough." That and if that coffee was spiked, he wanted none of it.

When Kat spoke up, Ryan couldn't help but nod enthusiastically. "What she said! Footballs got nothing on hockey." He beamed a little. Happy with the fact that their country was currently competing for the gold medal.

"Mighty Ducks? Seriously dude. THAT'S what you remember about hockey?" There was moment of silence before he added. "That's a little depressing."
