Her reflection in one particular mirror grabbed her attention. Pausing her search, she stopped and approached it. Staring at herself she tilted her head back and forth.
"Woah!" She called out, barely stopping in time to notice the gaping hole in the floor. Crouching down she held her knees to her chest. "Bix are you down there?"
The echo seemed to travel further with the halls of mirrors aiding its travels. No reply came, but she still decended to find herself in yet another mirrored room.
Finally there was a light at the end of the tunnel, Maybe the maze took pity on her?
Or maybe it was her brandishing her giant sword that finally convinced them.
Either way her weapon was now gone, as she started at the familiar stairs and her boyfriend standing in front of them. "Damn, you beat me. Those mirrors were so confusing this time... remind me to apologize to Arland for taking so long."
gaia_crown [ Round 3: ] You reach a large, seemingly insurmountable... staircase. Yes. A staircase. Crumbling, precarious, and ever so tall.
- All players need to roll to get a total of 25 steps each to make it to the next round. - All players must roll 1d10. This is how many steps your character walks up, accompanied by the following effect: Roll 1: You slip on nothing. Subtract 1 Stamina. Roll 2: With a spring in your step, you manage to not cut your feet on a huge shard of glass. Subtract 1 Stamina. Roll 3: - 50% of your remaining HP. A large shard of glass slices into your abdomen. Roll 4: Instant death for you. Return to Round 1, reroll stamina, and proceed. Roll 5: Fog obscures your view, so you step on glass caltrops. Subtract 3 Stamina. Roll 6: -5 HP. A vicious hand wraps around your ankle, cutting into your flesh. Subtract 2 Stamina. Roll 7-10: Nothing happens. Subtract 1 Stamina.
Bix was eager to get across, even with Ceres taking a while, but he didn't even attempt to go until he was sure she was alright.
She was... right?
Seeing Arland at the end made him sure they could do it, even if it was a highly dangerous task. "Here goes nothing..." He practically danced on tiptoe up the first couple of steps.
"BIX?" She called out, realizing that he had once again fell victim to those same steps that had fallen through before. Though as she approached where he fell, it was too late. Thankfully she knew he would just appear back at the very start of the map, and he could make his way back here.
If not for that she very likely would have dived in after him.
Still she knew how he would react to that thought process, telling her 'not to sacrifice herself' even though by now it was programmed into her. She couldnt help it.
Still she climbed, making it up a few stairs. Something grasped her leg cutting into the flesh as she went up one more stair. Hissing she tugged her leg away, only to look down and notice somehow she was bleeding? Fear shields sure were odd at times.
Still she continued up, the end of the stairs so close she could almost see them. "Hey Arland, im almost there. Bix fell through again I think he will be coming back soon..."
It was of course on the very top step that she tripped. Skidding across the step, she barely managed to stop before her (already) injured ankle hit a large menacing shard of glass.
"Oh my lord i really do like that foot still attached thanks." She scrambled up that step and sat down next to arland (where there was no glass thankfully). "Crap that was harder than i thought it would be." As she spoke, without looking up at Arland, she pulled out some supplies from her pouches on her hip. She didn't have any runic healing supplies, but she had the normal first aid things. Checking her wound (Which was thankfully shallow), she cleaned and bandaged it up quickly.
"So thanks for wai-" That was when she noticed that Arland was bleeding, a LOT. Her eyes widened at the sight, pushing herself to her feet forgetting her own wound. "Show me." She was already making to remove the blood stained scarf quickly with her hands, her Moon instincts kicking in as she focused in on the injured man.
