An arm wrapped around Ticene's waist from behind. R'yn had spotted her, and having immediately lost interest in what had been an enjoyable conversation concerning Gereth and buckets, excused himself politely. He placed a kiss to her cheek. "I see you finished," he said, flashing her a grin. "You could have let the headwoman manage it love." Turnover was a rare day, when he was free to do as he wished. He was looking forward to sharing it with Tic. "You look beautiful." He'd wondered at her color choices: orange? But on Tic, it was striking.
"Are you here to scold me?" He teased. He pressed a small something into her hand. A necklace, with a small dragon emblem. "Its not Ista's colors, but I thought you might like it," he said, by way of explanation. He'd wanted to purchase something nice for Ticene. "Tiry asleep?" He asked. While he'd been hoping to spend time with their daughter, her napping, he supposed, kept Ticene's attention on him.
"Let's dance."

AstoriaFallen Haha, true that! This works out nicely. wink
Thud. K'tai's vision tilted as he was knocked off balance momentarily, his glasses slipping down his nose. Firmly planting his boots in the ground, he turned to see the culprit and his expression shifted from surprise to a small smile. He tried his best to not pay much mind to the grabbing of his arm, as he shared his own awkwardness when it came to the ladies. Especially within this proximity.
"Oh, hey.." He shook his head promptly, quickly wanting to dissuade any worry she might have. "Don't worry, it happens a lot at these things, haha. Lots of people not watching where they are going, including me!" Laughing he turned to face her more directly, his eyes dropping as he noticed her fidgeting a little. "Hey, what's your name? I'm K'tai. I don't think I've met you before." He tried his best to distract her. Then he realized perhaps she had been on her way to somewhere, and added, "Don't let me keep you, though, if you had a destination to reach." He smiled. It wasn't often the blue rider went out of his way to ask about others, but his curiosity worked in mysterious ways sometimes.

She felt herself relax a little bit. So this kind of stuff happened a lot? I guess she'd know this if she didn't stay with the harpers most of the time and actually walked around. Walking around including conversing and rarely anyone talked to her. Mainly because of how brash she could be sometimes. However, she was doing quite well today. At least so far. It could easily change and she hoped it didn't. "OH! Well, that's good then I suppose. Though not good for you or I since we are two of those people you just described." She said with a small laugh.
She was still slightly embarrassed about the whole thing and then she realized he had asked her for her name. K'tai? She knew she hadn't met him before. She hadn't met any of the dragonriders before, except for when she was searched. Even then she don't think she caught the riders name. "I'm Naressa. It's nice to meet you. K'tai." She put up her hands as if to say, oh no, it's alright. "I was just heading back to my Choir, but they don't need me for a little while still." She listened as the beat changed to one she knew well and she wondered if he dance. She hadn't danced in a while herself, but since they were here she might as well join in right? Plus they could chat and dance at the same time. He was one of the first few people she had actually gotten a chance to talk to.
"Would you like to dance?" Maybe she should have waited for him to ask? Was it too forward of her to ask him to dance with her? Probably not, plus she didn't think it would matter that much. At least, she hoped it wouldn't.

Another laugh escaped him as she mentioned them being the people that he was describing. "It's true. But hey, look what it's brought us. Someone to talk to." He grinned. As she spoke he listened intently, his green eyes focused on her curiously. Perhaps it was through Kamuyth's love for listening in on facts about people, but he had grown to enjoy it quite well. "Lovely to meet you, Naressa. I've never become friends with a harper, maybe today is the day?" He gave a goofy smile, his attention pausing for a moment as she asked him to dance. Yes, it was kind of a shock she would ask -- even if they were at a gather. It was just quite uncommon a girl would ask him first. Feeling his face grow warm slightly in embarrassment, he glanced away, still choosing to hold out his hand, palm upwards. "Sure. As long as you don't mine my two left feet." He smiled despite himself. Feeling a mental shove, his brows furrowed. "Why are you still flustered so easily?" The blue's somewhat icy voice rang clear in his mind. "S-shush! I don't see you getting asked to dance by any girls." A laugh bounced around his mind, and he turned to see Kamuyth's eyes whirling blue as he found the comment quite amusing. "It's quite obvious to me all of the ladies are intimidated by how intelligent and handsome I am. It's okay, I can handle their admiration from afar."Sigh. K'tai decided not to even reply to that, an awkward smile returning to his face as he looked at Naressa.

He had a point, if it wasn't for their clumsiness they wouldn't be talking to one another right now. Actually, she'd probably be back with the rest of the harpers. She rarely talked to them and she worked with all of them daily! She'd never been friends with a dragonrider before, she, as far as she could count, didn't have any friends at all right now. Maybe he'd be her first. She gave him a sheepish kind of grin. "Maybe today is that day."
She took his had and in hers and she smiled, showing her teeth and she giggled as he talked about having two left feet. "Oh, you can't be that bad." She folded her fingers around his palm and pulled him towards the dance floor as a more lively song began. She placed her other hand on his shoulder and she let the music do the rest. "Show me what you got." She said teasingly.

K'tai laughed. "Alright, alright. I'll try my best." He felt shy as her hand rested on his shoulder, and even more so as he moved to place his free hand against the small of her back. Holding her fingers between his, his focus fell onto the music; each note helping to guide his future movements. Ah, shards. He could already tell he was off rhythm slightly. Who decided it was guys who should do the leading, anyways? He was right terrible at it! Grimacing briefly, he felt a smile take its place as she giggled. Well, at least someone was having fun. "Let me know if there's something I can do better. I'm not very... musically inclined. I feel like I have a hard time really letting loose and allowing the music to guide me." Over time he felt more comfortable, but he could still tell he needed work. "I'm not quite sure how people are able to do that," he smiled gently. Remembering she was a harper, his eyes lit up as he looked towards her mid dance, his pace quickening as they turned. "What made you want to become a harper? I'm rather curious. I grew up in a household of handymen, so it's something that's quite elusive to me."

She was sure he wasn't going to be a horrible dancer, after all how bad could he really be? She noticed he was slightly off beat but other than that he seemed to be doing quite well, she noticed his nervousness and listened as he spoke about not being very musically inclined. "You're truly not bad. I think you're doing quite well." She gave him a warm smile and she shrugged, it was just something some people could do. She loved the way the music moved through her. It was just with some people. "What made me become a harper?" She had grown up with a healer for a mother and her dad being a beastcrafter and everyone would have thought she'd of followed one of her parents. She had been fascinated with both of their crafts however, she had fallen in love with music. It pulled her heart in a way the other crafts did not. "It just called to me I guess." She really didn't know how else to explain it. "What is it like to fly?" She asked him as the thought popped into her mind. She wanted to know what it felt like to have the wind in your face and the feel of a dragons body beneath her own. She hoped she would soon know that feeling. To have a bond such as that would almost be like the bond she felt towards music, it becomes a part of you and you it. She believed that impression was much the same way. Once you bonded you become each other and grow.

The bluerider gave a soft smile as she attempted to explain in courtesy of his question, and broke into a quiet laugh when she mentioned it just calling to her. He knew that feeling quite well. The love he held for creating things, handiwork, science... it simply was. He could try to explain it, but would probably not do very well, either. He had accepted her encouragement silently, still somewhat embarrassed with his lack of dancing skills. Ah well, at least he hadn't tripped on her feet or something ... yet. Pushing the thought into the back of his mind, his attention refocused onto her when she asked about flying. Oh, flying. The grandest of experiences. "It's marvelous," he began, the smile on his face growing exponentially larger as he continued. "It was one of my greatest dreams to fly. I have always been quite enamored by the concept of flight.. so when I Impressed, well. All of my dreams came true." His feet moved lightly as they continued their dance, his eyes still glancing downwards in order to make sure he wasn't stepping on her toes. "It's the most liberating feeling I've ever felt. No one else around but your dragon, your thoughts entwined as you drift over a warm, orange horizon. It's a silence that can, at the same time, feel quite loud. All of your problems fade away and you are left bare, the rawest of emotions swirling deep inside." He paused, suddenly realizing how enthusiastic he had become about this description, and blushed. "And, uh, well, I really like it!" Quickly distracting from himself, he added, "I'm sure you'll find out what it's like soon enough!"

Eloquent Sonata So sorry!! Had a lot going on She couldn't help but smile as he began to explain what it felt like to ride upon the back of a Dragon. She was enamored with his words and she almost forgot they were dancing with one another until she almost tripped over her own feet. "Forgive me for stumbling. That sounds wonderful and I hope that I will be able to experience something like that." She said hopefully and a little embarrassed for having tripped like she had. Those two left feet of hers. The song was coming to an end and she wondered if he had places he needed to be. "I'm not keeping you from anything am I?" She said looking up at him as she tried her best to not step on his feet.
