The now teal-haired Rocket agent stabbed the end of the fishing rod into the snow. Daffodil had decided not to join her this time, choosing to remain in the warm comfort of the cabin with a cup of cocoa rather than brave the elements outside. Lennyka couldn't care less what the Raichu chose to do. Right now, this was her battle.
Her against the lake... Or should it be the Pokemon in the lake? It didn't matter. The war began as soon as she baited the hook and cast it into the water.

To her sudden disappointment, her new bait of cheese dipped in chocolate was not catching on. After a lengthy moment, nothing had even nibbled on the hook. Reeling it in, she plucked the bait off and tossed it aside for favor of another: a Tamato Berry chunk covered in day old bacon. This had to attract the attention of something!

mewrose (Rolling for Dratini: success?) Arissa tried to remember the brief introduction to fishing she'd gotten when she borrowed the rod. She tugged on the line hard (that was part of it, right?) then quickly turned the little crank on the side. The pokemon on the line was fighting, trying to get away, but she was pulling it closer. As she reeled it towards the surface of the water she could see it didn't look like a fish or an eel at all; the only fins were on its head. With a final heave she managed to haul it out of the water and onto the ice. Panting, she surveyed her catch as it squirmed, trying to get the hook from its mouth. It was...a Dratini? A rare Dragon-type in an ice lake? How unexpected! ((Yus, success! Congrats <3! Dratini has been captured, so only two pokes remain~))

Somewhere up in the heavens, Lady Luck was laughing hysterically at her. Not giving up, Lennyka chucked this bait into the depths of the lake (where it was snatched up by a passing Feebas) and decided to bring out her big guns: the Lennyka lure! It was a miniature and super-deformed version of the Rocket grunt she had kept on hand at all times. If this doesn't catch anything, I don't know what will! she thought before hooking it on and casting the line out.

Arissa beamed, delighted at managing to catch the Dratini. "How wonderful! Looks like you'll have a new friend to play with when you get home," she told Ronen, who had been woken by the sudden jostling around when Arissa struggled with the fishing pole. The blinked sleepily at her, then grinned. New friends were always good!
"Now let's go see what else there is to enjoy, hmm?" Ronen trilled in agreement as Arissa returned the fishing pole, then headed back to the cabin.

He roared to no one in particular as he pulled up the same magikarp from before. Rao stared at it for a moment, the magikarp staring back. The staring continued for moments that felt like eternities more, and Rao finally grinned. "You really wanna help me fight the feminists, huh? Let's go, then, Vesuvius." After naming the magikarp on the spot, Rao pulled out a pokeball, capturing his new ally.

Lennyka stared intently at the replication of her lightly bobbing on the lake's surface. When it wiggled a smidgen, she immediately pulled it up to find she had caught nothing.
