Robin readjusted the backpack on his shoulders and took a few long steps over to where a petite young woman was drawing in a notebook. He bent his tall frame to watch her in silence for a moment before asking, "What are you working on?"

Chopin, with no interest in such human niceties, sniffed at Aya's bag in search of a potential extra food source.

Christina was just about to walk out from the supermarket when a pile of flyers at the door had caught her attention. She put the bags of food between her feet and picked up the flyer. On it was a plain looking cabin with a lot of snowflakes planted onto the sheet.

She rolled her eyes. "Are you serious? A FREE cruise? for a week with FREE food?" She thought about it. Free stay and free food could save me money. but... I remember hearing about so many different kinds of accidents from past events from these sorts of things.... But the thought of things being free again pulled on her. Going ice fishing seems like fun... but.. a vacation in the middle of winter..... She groaned and put a palm on her forehead. I'd rather stay at home and enjoy the warmth of my bed.

Christina thought about it some more and scanned the flyer for the deadline. "January 25. Holymoly that's in a few hours!" Flustered, she shoved the flyer into one of the bags and ran out of the supermarket with the groceries. I want to go. I want to go. If no one is there that means that the event is a hoax.

Once home she ran upstairs to grab her luggage and threw in all sorts of things she needed. Brush. Makeup. Clothes. Shoes. Toothbrush. Toothpaste. MP3player. Scrap paper and pen. Camera. Food for her Pokemon. A few Cup Noodles. She threw it in anyway because she still can't believe that the food there would be free. She ran around the place to double check what she might be missing grabbing things here and there before finally closing the suitcase.

Having arrived at the western border of Motterossa city, Christina paid the taxi driver and stepped out of the car. The taxi driver kindly helped her with the suitcase in the trunk, said goodbye and drove off.

She may have exaggerated with her attire. A bright yellow glove was seen as she pulled on her black scarf. She wore a shirt under her hoodie and topped it off with a warm white winter jacket. Her knee high black boots clung snugly onto her ripped blue jeans. She brought Kiwi with her, who stayed warm inside the pokeball, thinking that he would enjoy the outdoors for a week, away from the city.

Within a few minutes, Christina had walked up to the small group of people who she assumed was going to the same place that she saw in the flyer. She found the person closest to her, who was dressed appropriately for the occasion, and asked: "Excuse me, are you headed to Seatance Valley?"

Kat looked up at Lorelai with her eyebrow raised in silent question. The doe shook her antlers and stamped, then reluctantly nodded. She was nervous, but she would help if she could. "I know you'll be fine, sweetheart," Kat said, patting her companion's shoulder and giving the sawsbuck a reassuring smile. "Just do your best."

She then raised her hand politely to attract the Captain's attention. "Excuse me, sir? My sawsbuck can help pull, but I have no idea how to hitch a harness..." She blushed a little in embarrassment at her own lack of knowledge. It was worse with so many other trainers gathered. Surely they all knew how to fasten a hitch. But she made herself stand straight as she admitted her failing, and hoped the Captain would be patient with her.

"Excellent! Thank you, miss. I'll take good care of her." The Captain smiled and led the pokemon to the front of the sled, gesturing for the trainer to follow. "Lemme just unhook my Dragonite real quick..." He lifted a large brown leather harness off of the dragon pokemon's torso. It heaved a sigh of relief and, exhausted, sat in the snow next to the sleigh. "You just put this over her head, tighten the staps a bit, and she'll be ready to go!" The Captain handed off the harness to the trainer.



He turned to the next trainer with a pokemon to offer. "A Sharpedo will do just fine!" The Captain looked at the shark pokemon. "Not at all! They don't call me the Captain for nothing," He said with a wink. He caught Willa looking warily at his Dragonite. "And don't worry about old Pearl there, she's very friendly." The large pokemon let out a yawn, exposing her rows of sharp teeth. She certainly didn't look harmless all the time, but the Captain knew she was a gentle giant.

Lennyka's eyes widened in marvel as the sleigh pulled up to the group. She had never seen a snow vessel so large before... or so bloody expensive. Just how did he find the money to afford that? she wondered to herself, but shook the thought away. Never mind that.

Daffodil's cheeks began to spark with electricity again. Never mind the snow, there was a sled! A sled! It was used for getting across snow! A sled! The Raichu's mouth opened in a dreamy smile as her body jiggled with electricity. Then, without warning, she released another bolt to the surrounding area; possibly electrocuting someone or some people.

Willa nodded and grinned, "Friendly, huh? 'tro and Pearl will get along just swimmingly then."

The trainer threw the pokeball and the Sharpedo materialized from the light. The excitement in the large pokemon's eyes were clearly evident and he floated around Willa a few times, dipping up and down lightly as he did so.

Suddenly, he knocked Willa down and a light green shield formed a dome around the two when a sudden bolt of electricity was released. Willa suffered a few scratches and her coat was slightly torn. She sighed from exhaustion; she knew exactly where that attack came from, but she just chose to do nothing about it.

"Get off me Baratro. Time to hook you up to the sleigh."

The Sharpedo obediently got off of his trainer and accepted the harness with no complaints. After that, Willa boarded the sleigh and leaned onto the side to watch the others.

"Oh, mercy," Kat murmured under her breath as she was loomed over by the not-very-small Pearl with the not-very-small teeth. But the healer rallied, holding up the handful of berries to Pearl with a smile that she hoped wasn't too strained. "Yes, dear, they're all yours. I hope you like them!" she said with a soft, nervous laugh. She held her hand flat in case the Dragonite decided to slurp them up right out of her palm.

Lorelai watched all of this from her place in the harness with an expression of nervous concern. She wasn't a courageous creature, and this was the first time she'd ever seen her trainer in a potentially dangerous situation. She stamped one hind hoof uneasily, unsure what to do.

Kat, however, was smiling- a rarity for her- utterly charmed by the Dragonite's demeanor. "Oh, thank you," she said to the Captain, absently accepting his brown kerchief and cleaning the dragon-slobber off of her hand with it before returning it to him. "And you're very welcome, sweet girl," she said, reaching up to pat the rather large creature on her flank. "I'm glad you liked them."

With nothing left to do but board the sleigh, she shrugged at the contraption and climbed aboard, keeping an eye on Lorelai as she thought she'd heard one of the other trainers mention a Sharpedo. Not that she expected trouble out of the Sharpedo- surely it was well-mannered if the other trainer anticipated it pulling the sleigh. No, she was more concerned about Lori's reaction to a predator that close.
