"Probably a good idea," Alex agreed, and he fumbled with the ring for a moment before successfully removing it. He sat up, leaning back against Luka. "Think I'm done with that..."

"I don't know.. That was a decent sized bottle you almost polished off." He sat there for a while, body framing Alex's and his arms tossed in the other man's lap. "Why don't you crawl back into bed and I'll go get you some water and Tylenol."

"Don't feel sick anymore, at least?" Alex said quietly. He curled closer to Luka and closed his eyes for a moment. "That sounds niiiice I'd like to go sleep for a whiiiile."

"I can't get you anything if you curl against me." He chuckled quietly, smoothing Alex's bangs again. "Do you want me to carry you again? Are you being a lazy drunk."

"Fine, fine, I'll stand," Alex flailed a little and then got himself up, frowning seriously. "I am not a lazy drunk, you're a buttface." He said. Alcohol clearly weakened his insult game.

"I thought I was a big a** tree?" Luka just nudged Alex into his room before disappearing for a few minutes. He returned later, with drinks and Tylenol as promised. "Here." he said as he handed off the water and Tylenol. "I would have given you something to eat.. but I don't know how you'd react to it." There was a pop and fizz as Luka opened his own drink

"All those things and more," Alex said, as he flopped onto the beanbag bed. He very gratefully took the Tylenol and water, shrugging at the mention of food. "M'not really hungry," he said, sinking into the bed further if possible.

"More? What kind of more?" Luka teased as he flopped on the bed as well. "You know," He started as he threw an arm behind Alex. "Drinking isn't gonna help.."

"All kinds," Alex said, finishing the glass of water and setting it on the nearest solid surface. He curled up against Luka, frowning. "It does for a little bit."

"Good? Bad?" He once again set to smoothing Alex's hair, this time alternating between that brushing his knuckles against the younger man's cheek. "A little bit maybe.. But not in the long run"

"So the good kind. Awesome." Luka rolled his eyes. "I'm not keen on the idea either but someone has too. Alex, what were you thinking. What would your family had done if they had found out you were hurt? How do you think they'd feel? Or even Des and I?" He sighed again kicking off his own boots. "Alex I know you want to forget everything for a while and just not think, but there are better ways. Safer ways."

Alex groaned softly and rolled so his back was to Luka, frowning and curling into himself. "They'd...probably not be haaappyyy, but they'd mostly just be mad at me for bein' stupid. You and Des too." He frowned more. "An' there's not much better, I wasn't thinkin' about it until you asked me whyyy..."
