Jarel is beginning to get to his feet and spots Matt coming in and swinging the chair. He puts his hand up out of instinct but the chair blasts him anyway, knocking him back to the mat

The chair shot connected and Jarel went back down to the canvas, and too be honest Matt's heart was all a flutter! He hadn't been truly sure that he would have been able to land that sickening shot to the chrome dome! He did however, and that certainly was not going to be a good thing for Jarel. Matt quickly moved nearer to his target and attempted to rain down a series of chair shots to the head! Draven was starting to show a rather viscous streak!

Matt is coming into his viscious side, but Jarel has always been viscious. Despite his daze from the first shot, jarel spots the blurred form of the chair coming for his head again and instinctively punches upwards, aiming to punch the chair right back into Matt's face

The chair came down, and then back up! Luckily for him, Matt had that knee jerk reaction to turn his head to the side before the chair had a imprint of his face. Needless to say, the chair flew from his hands and he stumbled back into the ropes!

Jarel begins to get to his feet again, albeit it slowly as his vision hasn't totally cleared yet. instincts are great, but it doesn't make it easy for him to stop seeing double

That return shot had hurt, well it was more of a perverse deflection that no doubt had hurt Jarel's hand in the process. Then again adrenaline was a powerful thing. Regardless, not even daring to shake the cobwebs out of his brain, Matt looked back at Jarel as he was getting up and lunged forward! With every intention of keeping the big guy down and rattled, Matt attempted to drive the soles of his boots into Jarel's face with a front dropkick as he was getting up!

Jarel is caught with the dropkick, though it actually hits him in the chest and forces him to stumble back and lean on the ropes, at which point he does take the moment to shake the cobwebs out of his head

After sending Jarel into the ropes, once again, Matt was a tad slower to get back up. His head hurt and this was a nice little break that allowed him to refocus on the task at hand. Which was a very large and tiresome task that had to be done nonetheless!

Jarel actually waits where he is. charging at matt would be foolish at this stint. Instead, he has to keep things slower, or at least use his head and not his temper to determine his next move

Since Jarel was so kind, Matt was able to get back up unhindered and his mind now sharp. Though there red marks on his neck from where Jarel had nearly hanged him to death with the strap. Something that will never be forgotten, nor forgiven. Regardless, Matt rubbed his neck as he put some more distance between the two of them. Well just as much as the 10 foot strap would allow. He had several targets to pin point and use, Jarel pretty much had one large target to do the same. Things never did seem to be in Matt's favor did they?

Jarel stands tall and takes a step forward, then elects to go low with a clothesline aimed for Matt's knees instead of aiming up high for his head

Jarel went low, and that didn't give Matt much time to debate with himself on what to do! Matt took a step forward and put his hand low and onto Jarel's head, as if strong arming Jarel's face into the canvas, he jumped over the massive arm and attempted to turn in mid hop and come down knees first onto The Dragon's back! If he were able to do so he would quickly try and return Jarel's earlier favor and wrap the strap around his neck and pull back!

apparently Matt has a bit of ESP and catlike reflexes, as he manages to land on the dragon's back. though he get's the strap aorund Jarel's throat, he has made one miscalculation. Jarel has a much longer form, and despite the age everyone likes to point out, his power hasn't deteriorated. as such, he fights the instinct to go for his neck and and instead pushes himself onto all fours, then up to one knee, while reaching backwards to hook his arms around Matt's legs. Falling backwards would not be smart, so instead jarel attempts to rise back to his full height, and despite the life being choked out of him, slam Matt's back against the turnbuckle

You didn't need ESP when dealing with a near seven foot man when you were looking right at him in a fight! Regardless, the massive bull that was Jarel Damone decided to rise up and bring the pain! As the big man was pedaling back, Matt used the strap to pull himself up high enough to avoid a rather painful back injury and managed to strangle his foe just that much more! As much as he hated to admit it, he could keep strangling Jarel, not in this current predicament! Therefore he released the strap and attempted to forced Jarel away with with a mule kick to his back, which might be a tad risky for most wrestlers given his rather precarious perch upon the top turnbuckle.

Jarel finds himself kicked in the back and stumbles forward a few steps. lucky for matt, it's not far enough to force him off the top rope it does give a bit of probably much needed distance between the two. remind Jarel to shiv the boss for this later twisted
