Theron narrows his eyes as he glares at Selene when she yelled at him then visibly shuddered while teetering and he moves in close to make sure that he will be able to 'catch' her if she does fall over. "The kids are probably adults now." He coldly says as he looks at her evenly. "And they will be bound to find me so they could drill me with questions. They didn't get a chance because their lovely mother found them in time and ushered them off." He shakes his head before he nudges her toward the ocean so the ocean spray could help her.
"I...." He frowns as he realizes that he have been calling her 'my little moon' and he stiffens up, a mask of coldness appears on his face. "Slip of tongue. Don't mind the name. You simply reminds me of the moon and night skies. And you are just an annoying pest that won't let me be after my repeated requests for you to go away." He stiffens up when he felt her lick his cheek and a low growl rumbles in his throat while he glares at her, not daring to lash out at her. "I am stronger now, yes. But I am colder now. You need to save your energy because I don't feel like guarding your unconscious body while you recover your energy." He grumbles.

Selene tilts her head at him. "So what? Do you have to be in their life? No..You don't. Only if you want to. Just like if you want to be in my son's life." She ignores his coldness in his eyes. "And if they do... They won't have a chance to mess with you because I'll be there." Her neck raises a bit like a cat, letting him see the anger within her just slightly. "If they blame you... Oh.. Just let them." She smirked. The sparkling in her eyes appeared as if she was plotting something.
She gasped when she felt the ice cold ocean water and lets out a shriek of giggles. She shakes her head to get the water off of her and looks towards him. "You know how to wake a gal up... don't you, stubborn boy?"
She flicks her ears as she perks up at his words. "Slip of tongue, my a**!" She giggled softly. "Fire boy is my name for you. Don't mind it then.. If you don't like it.. Tough. Deal with it." She rolls her eyes and moves to trot in the water, getting any bugs off of her. The sprays of water was getting her tail and mane wet, dulling the sparkles within it slightly. "Come on.. Have some fun." She shakes her head. "I won't lose energy now, big boy... The water helped me wake up."

The stallion looks mildly amused at Selene's bristling at the mention of his previous mate's children and he tilts his head to side slightly, looking at her with unexplainable expression on his face. "You are acting like you are my mate instead of a friend." He simply says and he is not sure how he want to feel about this. He shifts his weight from one set of legs to other restlessly, feeling like she's cornering him in and trying to put the 'collar' on him. Its not a great feeling for him right now and he shakes his head, knowing that if he does run off, the mare will follow him so he's stuck here.
When she shrieked with laughter, Theron looks up and watches Selene near the ocean water and he rolls his eyes at her, "Silly girl. I just simply brought you here because you looked like you were going to faint from all of the yelling you just did." He simply replies. A faint smile flickers across his face as he discovers that he enjoys watching Selene smile, laugh and having fun and that he would like to see more of that. "Yeah yeah..." He mutters as he rolls his eyes. "Believe whatever you want." It is quite obvious that the ice wall around him is slowly being chipped away by a particular stubborn mare. "I don't like to have fun, Selene. You can do that on your own." He lifts his face up in a stubborn manner.

Selene tilts her head as she calms down once again while flickering her wet tail behind her. "..Can't a friend be protective as well?" She asked curiously at him. "You are one curious stallion.. " She couldn't help but want to get to know him a bit more.
She grins as she rears back, spraying the water towards him while giggling softly. "Me? Faint? I may almost did that but I have you to thank for saving me from that." She runs up towards him and pulls him to the shallows. "Run.. Let the stress out.." She squeals when a dolphin jumped out of the water some ways away from them. She blinks softly and smiles. "Isn't it beautiful? The Ocean may have rough times.. but it always smooths out over time, Theron.. Stormy times.. Rough times.. But it is not about fighting the storm.. It is about weathering it." She winks and began to run through the waters, jumping over small waves. Shrieks of laughter could be heard at each splash...

Theron watches the mare now with wary eyes because she's looking at him more often instead of frolicking in the ocean like she is supposed to, he narrows his eyes at the female wordlessly while he watches her coat and tail gets dark when they get wet. "Yes, friends can be protective but I never said you are my friend, mare." He grumpily says. He didn't move closer to the ocean like he normally would because he doesn't want to have fun with this mare because having fun would lead to having feelings which means it will up the chances for the curse to grab a hold of Selene...and he can't have that happening.
His body twitches as she rears up, causing the water to spray in his direction and he glares at her while trying not to cave in to the feelings he wanted to have like happiness and whatnot. "I didn't save you because I liked you, Selene. I didn't want to have to stand over your body and make sure nothing gets to you before you wake u-" He meeps as he gets pulled toward the shallow water. "Hey now! Don't do that" He snapped the words out as he finds himself in the shallows, glowering at the laughing mare. "Hrmph.. I never said I am stressed out.." He looks at the dolphin whom jumped out of the water. "show off..." He mutters darkly as he shakes his head looking at Selene when she proceeds in doing what she was originally intended to. When she is not looking, he allowed himself a small smile as he watches the mare having fun in the water as the sun sends the fire-colored hues streaking across the skies above them.

Selene looks towards him once again, tilting her head. This pose makes her look a bit cute with the sun rising behind her. "Never? Somehow I doubt that.. Seriously doubt that.. " She turns once again to start running, giggling at the crabs that scatter due to her running. As a big wave was heading towards her, she jumps through it. The water made a sparkling rainbow appear.
Selene grins as she says without even a look towards him. "You can say that all you want to me.. But does your heart believe you?" She giggled softly at him after he had been pulled into the water by her. "Don't? I think you are liking this.. I can see it." She grins playfully and splashes at him before zigzagging off. "It is a beautiful morning here.. Enjoy it!" She squeals out in laughter, glancing towards the sky and then the horizon. "Enjoy what mother earth gives us.. "

Theron blinks as the sight of the sun rising behind Selene while she's in the ocean is ethereal and it makes the annoying mare looks like she's a goddess of the ocean. "I repeat myself. I never said I am stressed out, you annoying mare." He closes his eyes as he felt the pressure headache coming up behind his eyes and he shakes his head at Selene's child-like joy. It is quite infectious and is slowly grabbing a hold of him, he twitches as her running around is splashing water on him and he feels some pity for the poor tortured crabs whom is scattering away from the crazy mare.
When she had audiacy to splash him, Theron suddenly sprang forward chasing after Selene. "You are going to get it!" He roared at her but there wasn't any of his usual fierceness in it and the water splashed wildly around him when he ran after Selene, hellbent on dunking her to teach her a lesson about splashing others when they don't even want to goof off.

Selene tosses her head as she closes her eyes while rearing, getting the water out of her face. "... Are you sure I am annoying you? Be truthful in your words, dear fire boy." She stands back on her feet once again before giggling at the another big wave hitting her. She would run once again, wanting to jump into the waves.
She grins when she was able to splash him. Then came the look on her face that says it all. "Oh, s**t!" She squeals in delight as she took off towards the shallows once again. "Come and get your moon back, Fire boy!" She grins, giggling.

"You have been annoying me since the moon was high in the skies, Selene!" Theron roars at the mare while chasing after her, not waiting for her to finish her rearing and he rapidly closes in, intent on tackling her into the water. As the wave crashed into them, he paused a bit while feeling the pull of the tide when it tries to pull him into deeper water, he twitches while he waits for the pull to subside before he resumes the chase.
When she called back to him to get "his moon back", Theron suddenly stopped the chase and looks at the mare with an odd look because it seemed to sound just right for her to be his little moon. He growls as the reminder of the curse comes in the form of dead fish that was floating by which caused his softening to skid to halt while the hard coldness creeps back into his body. "You are not my moon, Selene!" He growls at her and proceeds in chasing her, but the water is slowing his speed down so it takes a lot of effort to chase after the mare. Secretly, he have come to enjoy his time with this mare.

Selene giggled softly. "I don't think I am THAT annoying.." She could feel the waves' wanting to pull her in as well. She jumps over the next waves and trots to get out of the water. She shivers slightly due to the water dripping off of her. She shakes her head and body before seeing that he was wanting to chase her again, shrieking once again with laughter.
She skids to a stop and tilts her head at him when she saw his look. "What? What did I say wrong 'this time'?" She frowns at the growl when she thought that he was learning to how to have fun again. "Tell that to your heart, Theron! Go on.. Do it!" She somehow knew that she was getting to him.. slowly. She took off on the sand, giggling softly. "Come and get me, my fire heart."

Theron moves toward the shore with now predatory strides, the water pulling at his now dark red tail and he pauses in the shallows, eyeing the mare with a cold expression. "I can't let you get close to me, Little Moon. The curse will just take you and your son away from me. I can't have that happening." He softly says as the tail billows around his hind legs. "I am sorry." He looks like he is regretting having to walk away from the mare as he moves out of the water, heading toward the forest without looking over his shoulder.
He pauses a bit when she called him "her fire heart" and his heart clenches painfully before he closes his eyes. "I am sorry, Selene." He says without looking behind him as he starts walking away, approaching the forest-line. Every step he makes feels like his legs are suddenly heavy and he is forcing himself to continue to walk, putting the distance between him and the mare that he is rapidly starting to like.

Selene stops for a moment and turns to look back. The look in his eyes and his face was getting her worried. She wondered if the 'curse' was really scaring him that much.".... " She would turn to face him and take off towards him. "Theron!!!!" She cried out towards him, frowning softly.
She tilts her head towards him. "I am sorry? ... Why? Why are you apologizing to me? You aren't doing any..." She breaks off in silence and whines softly. She would get closer to him and try to get him to look at her. "..Theron.. I won't leave you." She whispered. "I am your friend as long as the moon and your heart wants me to be.." She places her head on his back if she was able to get close enough. "Don't leave.. "

Theron hears the beating of the hooves behind him and he didn't have to look behind to see who it is because he knows its Selene that is chasing after him like usual. He didn't look at her when she closed the distance between them and he twitches, trying to glare at the female. "Don't you get it, mare? We might had a few moment of fun but that's all it will be. I am not going to risk anything when it comes to you, my little moon." The harshness of his voice softened a bit and he looks at her when she whines softly.
"Your son needs you more than anyone else, Selene." The stallion says as he stiffens up when the mare rests her head on his back and he turns his head slightly toward her. "You are one foolish mare if you think you are going to survive this curse." He sounds like he is defeated because he spent all night arguing, yelling and trying to scare the mare away but the mare persists in staying with him.

Selene wouldn't stop running til she was able to get to him. "Get what? That the curse isn't real?... That is what friendship is.. Risk is sometimes needed. Take a leap.. a chance at this, Theron.. Stop running away!" She whined the words out to him softly. "Let your heart speak to you. You have it caged in a dungeon so to speak... Let it out. Don't let the ice take it. Beat that Curse up til it disappears!"
Selene nods. "He also needs a father fiqure.. Arky can be.. well.. at times. But he is a big kid too." She sighed softly. "Foolish isn't the word.. More like determination." She looks up at him and nuzzles him gently. "..I will show you that I can survive whatever you give me... I will be your fighter for your heart."

A grumble rumbles in Theron's throat as he continues to glares at Selene, silently willing her to just give up and go away because he really don't want to have to mourn another death. "It is completely real. When I get close to a mare, something happens and its not a good 'something." He coldly says as he shakes his head once again, sidestepping to put the distance between them. "You need to give me time instead of pushing it too fast." He glares at the mare in annoyance, knowing that she does have good points but he is not ready to let it go yet.
"You continue to refer to this 'Arky' when it comes to your son, why don't you just mate with him and make your own little family? Since your son adores this 'Arky'." He looks at her and a small part of his heart lurches at the thought of her being with other males. Theron jerked back when she nuzzled him, acting like she electrocuted him. "What the hell are you doing, mare?" He roared at her and he rears up little lit, looking upset, worried and pissed off all mixed into one emotion.
