sad But hey, school is waay better than work! I can't even describe how much I miss the concept of winter and summer breaks!
Work is nothing but that. Only the really lucky ones get actual paid time off, and sick time. You still have to earn it though - by coming in to work!
Actually, it probably wouldn't be a terrible idea to base the school system off the work system. You show up for X number of days at school during a certain period and you earn X number of days off, which you can sprinkle throughout the year or take all at once. No roll overs from year to year. Schools would probably earn more time off than actual work, though, which is cool - but the premise is the important part.
So if you want to really work hard and just go to school, you could begin in say January and go solid until July (except weekends), and then be done until the next January. Bonuses could go to students who opt to go to school the whole year round and work hard and graduate early - maybe a scholarship to the college of their choice from the school or something.
