Exwire Ignazio listened to his father’s words almost as if he was listening to himself. That was until he was hit multiple times and then was knocked to the ground. Ignazio tried to hold back his whimpering and muscled enough strength to pull himself to his knees and looked at the ground as he continued to listen to his father talk down on him and his skills, but once he spoke about his mother Ignazio clinched his hand into a fist and stood up slowly. ”I understand the family creed, father. But don’t ever compare me to my mother again. I’m nowhere near her skill level and I doubt I’ll ever be. I apologize for calling you so late at night but because you are a senior exorcist and work within the Vatican on matters like this I figured you would like to know about the encounter. It was a foolish mistake on my part. I’ll be sure to fix that next time by turning them directly over to True Cross instead of the Vatican Official.” he said as he looked into his father’s icy eyes with his own. Blood slowly flowed from his lip where he was hit by the hand that raised him. Ignazio looked at the Hellhounds then at the gun men as the medics had finished loading the three students on to the plan.
”Forgive me for asking this, but what will you do with them? The demonic force left their body once they gave up. If they truly believe they were playing a game then whatever contract they signed clearly must have a loophole in which the demon can’t remain in their bodies if they lose or give up. So why are you taking them from the academy, you could perform a transplant here just like I could, but I’m assuming you’re taking them back to perform an interrogation or an experiment. I bet if you could you would perform them on some of the students that go here. Wouldn’t you? It’s like what you said when we were younger. Know your opponent and you know victory. To know something you find out by using underhanded tricks and illegal factions while I find things out by acquiring information through time and planning. So what’s so different than how I view elegance and how you view it?” he yelled as he clinched his hands tighter. Golden Qi began to flare off of Ignazio’s body as if he had all his energy back, but was it the fact he held back so much he didn’t know his potential in energy or was it the fact his father was the source of all his energy and he could only exert so much depending on the location of a senior member of the Barthomeloi House?

The man began to laugh as his son questioned him with one swift action he had his fist at Ignazio’s stomach but it only looked like he moved in to hug the young tamer. ”What I do within the Vatican is overseen by a group, its not just me, but that’s not your business. Your job is to become an Exorcist and take over the family, right? Your ideological bullshit holds you back Ignazio. Studying and theory is all you know. Experience and trial is what you need to learn. Learn the truth and learn how to kill mercilessly. You want to be feared as a king then you should start acting like one and not like a prince cowering behind his father and afraid of his sister.” the man said as he took a step backwards and moved his hair from his eyes with a simple flip. He raised his left arm into the air and the men with guns began to get back on to the choppers and Ignazio slowly followed but turned around to look at his son one last time as the hellhounds vanished. ”I will say one thing to you, as my son I’ve spared your life, but as an Exorcist, Ignazio you’re almost a waste of space. But you’re my eyes and ears at this Academy because of that idiot they’re allowing to run this place. So there are a few students here I want you to keep a look out for and bring me whatever information you can on them. I’ll send you an email with a file and records. But be sure not to get caught, you might get killed if they even suspect you as a traitor.”
The man laughed as he walked on to the chopper and then the door closed behind him as he entered and the propellers began to whirl and whip around before they took flight and left the area with the two boys.

Victor Rodrigo de Asturias Fighter || Aria || Exwire || 1st Year Victor reappeared out of a blur, touching down on a tree branch a few ways away from the chopper's LZ. He was containing his Qi beneath his skin, keeping it from tracked further than a few feet away. There were armed men set up in a 360 security perimeter but didn't look like military. They had suits on and sunglasses, something alike a paramilitary private security force. At the center of it all, Victor could see Ignazio and three other boys. The three boys looked to be unconscious and by the looks of it all, it had been through a fight with Ignazio although Ignazio looked like he was wounded. Did he take them all out himself? He thought as he looked around. There were Hellhound familiars around him who seemed to belong to the one that came out of the chopper. He looked very important and flashy, alike Ignazio. Victor would guess that it was his father but from where he was, there was no hearing them. He looked on and wondered what was going on but wasn't about to reveal himself.
Victor didn't see anyone else and decided to sit down on the branch he was on and wait for a minute. He looked over the armed men. They seemed to have military grade rifles, ones with higher rates of fire that weren't available to civilians. Some of the men that were dressed differently, put the three boys of litters and carried them into one of the helicopters to air lift them out. If Victor had to guess, Ignazio could have called in the support, being out manned. Then again, Victor wasn't sure that Ignazio was the type to ask for support. Perhaps a concerned father coming in to secure his son? It didn't look like it was so with Ignazio facing his father in a defiant manner. From the distance, it seemed as if they were exchanging words in an aggressive manner like an argument. Things seemed to escalate and the father seemed to begin disciplining Ignazio physically. It was a bit harsh of a display but better from a parent than from anyone else. Victor understood this and gave him a bit of insight to Ignazio's behavior and the way he was. He saw the man then embrace Ignacio, something Victor would have wanted from his own father. As sad as it sounded, Victor never had that role played in his life. Where are the others? Am I too late? Thought as he wondered where everyone had gone. Looking at his phone, Victor wondered if he should have tailed Homura but would he be able to make the time to meet with Mr. X. Victor crossed his arms at the thought of the red headed boy. It would make him feel like christmas morning to lay a punch into him but knew that more things were at stake.

Exwire Ignazio stood there completely still as the choppers fled the scene, that’s when he dropped to his knees and began to cry out in pain and began to vomit out blood and water. Ignazio raised a shaky hand to his face to see the red liquid that he tried to stop from escaping from his mouth. Ignazio couldn’t stop the effects of having another’s Qi directly injected into his body. Qi was meant to be used within one body and can only live within the original body, if it was ever placed forcefully into another body it would be fatal. Luckily after being hit so many times prior to being punched with a wave of Qi, Ignazio covered his body with a thin layer of his own Qi in order to cushion any other strikes, but it looked like his father saw through that as well. Ignazio slowly picked himself up from the ground and whipped the blood from his mouth with his sleeve and then reached his left hand into his blazer pocket to grab his handkerchief to finish cleaning himself up. He looked at the direction the choppers were flying and closed his eyes. ”One day, I’ll kill you b*****d. I will kill you and take over the family name and then I’ll be a greater Exorcist than you could ever be or ever want to be and I will avenge Mom in the process seeing how it’s your fault she died in the first place.” he muttered as he rubbed his face with his right hand trying to get a hold of himself. He stood there in the moonlight in the cold air trying to force himself to go back to normal but he wasn’t really in the mood. His father almost made him forget about the task at hand. He raised his right hand into the air and focused his Qi into his palm until a sphere of golden energy appeared like a light of some sort. He waved it in the air in the direction Alexandria was hiding in order to get her attention and to show her it was over. After waving his hand for a few seconds he released the energy causing it to ‘pop’ and fall to the ground becoming nothing.

[✯] ❧ Audrianna Hara Black ❧ [✯] "I am more than just a means to an end." Audrianna's eyes scanned the situation carefully as she watched it all unfold. She couldn't hear the whispers, but her power of deduction told her most of what she needed to know. His father was not a good man, obviously worked for the Vatican, and Ignazio wanted nothing to do with him. However, Audri understood the pull of blood. If Amaimon was ever to show his face in Assiah, Audri would have to make a decision to either go with him or stay here. She still didn't know what would be better. Although her father was a demon king, he surely cared for her more than Ignazio's father did him. Hopefully she just wasn't born to take over a throne like Ignazio.
When Audri watched Ignazio hit the ground and begin to vomit, that's when she made her move. "Nymeria, up." Nymeria jumped up from the branch, still in her wooden form, and Audrianna hopped on her back. The wolf leaped from atop the tree and hit the ground running towards Ignazio. "I don't know if you want to help this boy, princess. His family seems rather cruel." Audrianna's fingertips dug into the wood form of her wolf as she said that, thinking about her father. "Nymeria, we cannot judge people based on their family origin. Remember that." Audrianna felt Nymeria's head drop as she said "My apologies, Audrianna."
When Audrianna an Nymeria reached Ignazio, she hopped off her familiar quickly and ran to him. She placed a hand on his back and she used her other hand to grab his chin and turn his face towards her. She was scanning it for other signs of trauma. Audrianna was no doctor, but she was the King of the Earth's daughter. She understood the plants her father created and their intended purposes more than anyone. She was the daughter of their creator. Her hand dropped from his chin as she used her telepathy "Nymeria, I need mullein, now!" Then, a light green, very leafy plant sprouted from her familiar's back out of no where. Audrianna grabbed the plant and used her demon strength to crush it into fine powder. She held the powder up to Ignazio and said "Please, take this. It's better when added with milk. It won't be pleasant but it will stop your internal bleeding for the time being." Herbal remedies weren't always the answer, but they held off the problems before proper care arrived. Nymeria stood behind her, still in her wooden form, her body facing towards the forest. She kept eyeballing Ignazio, though. Audrianna stood there in front of Ignazio, hands out with the herb, begging him to take it. Audrianna was never one to beg, not even for one's own well being. However, Ignazio had protected her from the teacher and other classmates. He also protected her secrets. She owed him the herb to stop his bleeding. She owed him her help, this time.

Alexandria Elaine Ferdinand Doctor || Knight || Exwire If anything was clear about the situation is was the fact there were two people distinctly arguing. But their words weren't terribly clear to her still. While the winds created by the helicopter had died down there was still a large distance between where Alexandria hid and the two men. After some time Alexandria could hear the helicopter blades once more cutting into the air as they began to take off. She watched them fly off into the distance till she lost track of them. Whoever it was had spent quite a bit of time at the scene, it was a bit suspect what had actually been going on. Yet, it was apparent to her it wasn't something she would want to ask about. Alexandria looked back over in the direction Ignazio had left towards to see a sphere of light form, it was of his Qi. It quickly dropped to the ground after a few moments fading away into nothingness.
‘That must be his signal.’ She thought as she stood up from the ground. She made her way over towards him, weaving through the trees. It wasn't long before she reached the place Ignazio stood. Alexnadria was surprised to see Audri there as well, offering a herb to the boy. She could tell from its appearance what it was- mullein. It had many uses but Alexandria could only assume Audri offered it as a means to help with internal bleeding. How Audri managed to crush the substance so quickly was beyond her. Perhaps the Homura boy wasn’t the only one. Yet, she merely shook her head, forcing herself to act like she hadn’t seen the act at all, “It would work better as a tea. That way it is absorbed quicker and assists with clotting sooner.” She said to them. ‘Don’t worry about it.’ She thought to herself as she forced her bitter thoughts out of her mind.
Alexandria sighed; she had hoped that Ignazio was feeling better. That he might have begun to recover from the previous battle. But it didn’t appear that way. As she drew near she rested her left hand on her hip,”You sure your well enough to continue this?” Alexandria asked him, narrowing her gaze. Decidedly she didn't ask about what the hell had happened and why he wanted her to hide, or anything remotely argumentative but instead about his health. Which may have surprised him, given their prior differences. There would be a lot more to do tonight, and he must have known it. They still had to find the first piece of the puzzle before their combat class began.

Victor Rodrigo de Asturias Fighter || Aria || Exwire || 1st Year Victor's expression changed to that of surprise after the chopper's had moved on. Ignazio had begun to vomit but it was mixed with blood. The encounter he had witnessed was far more harsh than he had first thought. He knew the effects of Qi on the body and the way it interfered with the flow of another Aria. Had his own father done that to him just now? It was a hard thing to assume but there was no more effective way to inject one's Qi into a target than through physical contact. It would be Victor's own course of action if he was ever to dispatch an enemy covertly. Watching Ignazio, Victor almost leaped forward to aid his friend but thought twice. He thought about Ignazio and if he would feel vulnerable at that point and would resent aid. With a display of bright concentrated Qi, Ignazio seemed to signal for someone. Victor didn't have to think too long before he spotted Audrianna and soon after, Alexandria, head for Ignazio out of the trees. Looking to rejoin the others, Victor stepped out of the tree and walked out to where they were. Audrianna and Alexandria seemed to be taking good care of Ignazio so Victor hung back a bit, hands in pockets. His eyes were on Ignazio before they scanned around the area. He didn't know what had happened but figured that it could wait until Ignazio was fit. Everyone thought of him as the leader on that particular assignment anyway.

Stepping out into the open air was a great change compared to being cramped within the confines of the school itself. Although, upon exiting the building, his eyes quickly scanned what was transpiring around him Three males were on the ground unconscious, and Ignazio was now being approached by someone he rarely ever saw, even when he was a child playing in the Barthomeloi Household. The elder Barthomeloi had actually come to the school itself, and no doubt for a family visit of fun and laughter. Given that he was out of ear range, Lloyd could not hear what was being said, but the manner in which he left, and Ignazio's posture gave no hints either. Had he been scolded? Unfortunately, the reaction he was hoping to see was not that of the classic Ignazio, for when the male began to vomit, Lloyd immediately staggered. Was he to help him? Before he could come to a decision, Audrianna had taken the liberty of attending to him, which, in turn caused Lloyd to breathe out easy. Moving towards the group, he stopped a few feet away from everyone. While he could have volunteered to heal Ignazio with the power of Berkana, he knew of Ignazio's personality, and as such, would save for a time when the male could not try and refuse the help. Then, there was also the battle to come, and if the horrible feeling he had in his stomach as any type of indication, then he and his new found allies would probably need it more in the battle to come.

Exwire Ignazio gave a strong smile as if nothing was wrong, he was a little embarrassed that he wasn’t paying attention to the other Qi signatures in the area and the fact they may have seen what happened to him. Swallowing his pride he took the powdery substance into his hands and then swallowed it whole. He gaged slightly at the taste then gave a strange face that a child would have after they ate a vegetable they didn’t like. ”Thank you, I owe you one Audrianna and you too Alexandria, I’m sorry that you all had to see that. I don’t really like my personal issues getting mixed in with my professional or school life. But that’s what happens when you live with a tyrant who is next in line to be the Paladin. The Headmaster and my father share the title Acting Paladin with a two other individuals. This is kind of the first time in over a hundred years that something like this has happened at the Vatican. Although I personally think it’s better this way.” he said as he placed his hand over his abdomen and then began to focus his Qi secretly to wash out the unwanted Qi that entered his body. He gave a smile to everyone and with his freehand that had the blood stained sleeve rubbed his hand through his hair slicking it back as he started to walk down the path towards the Forest of Screams. ”I’m fine though, really. Don’t worry about me. I’m actually feeling much better, besides that was just a father saying goodbye to his son.” he said giving a fake chuckle before removing his hand from his stomach and exhaling after all the Qi had finally turned from a negative effect into a positive effect restoring him. ’Can’t believe he actually hit me with a Qi Wave like that, well I can believe it, but he did it in such a way I wouldn’t have survived if I was actually injured. How hard is it to say: don’t worry me so much or try not to get killed. That man is ignorant and evil.’
Ignazio continued to walk down the path and then stopped to look back at everyone as he was already halfway down the stone path that was covered in craters from the battle. ”Hey, we really don’t have a lot of time left, sunrise is in a few hours. We have about eight hours to finish this thing. So let’s move it people.” he called out to the group as he placed his hands into his pockets and regained his King like appearance as the moon shined down upon him like a giant halo for an angel or some celestial being.

[✯] ❧ Audrianna Hara Black ❧ [✯] "I am more than just a means to an end." Audrianna smiled, slightly, as Ignazio gagged on the powdered plant she had provided. She knew it would be terribly bitter, but she had no access to any liquid to mix it with. Of course, she could have sent Nymeria to access the milk in her dorm but that would have taken a good minute. She didn't know if Ignazio would tolerate the wait just to take the medicine. Audrianna could probably excel in pharmacology and other doctor related classes in the Cram school, but she did not have the Qi to heal people. Her Qi was destructive more than helpful. The only thing her Qi was able to build was out of earth, and even then it had to destroy something to make something. When Ignazio said his apologies about his family, Audrianna placed her hands on her hips and made a 'tsh' sound as she looked away from him. "If I had a father like your's, then I'm glad I was abandoned at a young age." It wasn't hard to figure out that Audrianna had a rough past. Most people already assumed that due to her appearance. It wasn't uncommon, either, for children to be abandoned in this day and age. Parents don't mean to get pregnant, can't afford the baby, and leave it. Most people would rather spend their money on drugs than take care of their kids. This was not Audrianna's case, but she would never dare tell where her father and mother truly were.
Audrianna looked over as Lloyd and Victor had both arrived to the group. She could feel the Qi change in Nyemeria, and Audrianna had to make a 'woe' hand signal to her, which was basically her taking her left hand, holding it palm down, and lowering it slowly. "They're with us Nymeria. Before you say it, I know. This is too many people for me to risk being around but I have to do it to pass this exam and get out of this school." Nymeria was always too protective of Audri. She knew that if s**t really hit the fan and Audrianna had to use her full power, her secret would be revealed. Although fighter types were unnaturally strong, they were not as strong as Audrianna. Her demonic powers and her manipulation of the earth were out of this world. She would be doomed if she had to use her full potential. Although she had control of when she transformed, she didn't have full control of when to change back. If the situation was a true life or death one, Audrianna lost control. It was hard for her to get back, but that's why she had Nymeria. Nymeria was the ying to her yang.
Audrianna looked over at Lloyd and nodded. "If he didn't take medicine I provided, I would have made you force him to take it." Audrianna wasn't joking. Her face was serious and her tone was flat. She really would have made Lloyd shove the substance down his throat if Ignazio was too stubborn for his own good. Audrianna knew that Lloyd and Ignazio had friendship stronger than the secret that bonded Ignazio and Audri. Lloyd could probably get through to him. Audrianna then looked at Victor, scanning him up and down. "Took you long enough, hothead." Oh goodness. Back to the insults. Audrianna wasn't cruel with her tone, though. It was more light. This was how she knew how to interact with Victor though. Snide comments and insults. She couldn't change her personality on him now, or he'd know something was up since the Homura incident.
Audrianna focused her attention back on Ignazio as he rushed the group. "You made the map, Barthomeloi. Lead the way." Audrianna then walked over to Nymeria and hopped on her back. Nymeria was incredible fast, especially for a wolf demon. If they had anywhere to get quickly, Nymeria could get Audri there in half the time anyone else could. Plus, Nymeria was a good cover up of Audrianna's incredible speed. "Ignazio, if you need to rest yourself you can ride on Nymeria. That goes for anyone. She has enough room for three, counting me. Or two, counting me, if you're bigger." No one there was necessarily fat, but Victor was muscular than anyone else. Someone may not be comfortable riding against him, considering he was built like a rock. "Since when did you get all nice and inviting?" Audrianna petted the fur on Nymeria's neck. "I'm not. But if we can get this exam on the road, the sooner I can get out of the group. I haven't trained with my demonic powers in quite sometime." Nymeria made a grunting noise in her throat and pawed at the ground for a second. Audrianna then spun her head around to look at the group, with another serious face. "And I swear to God if you people keep calling me Miss Black I'll shove a Bible down your throat. I'm not royalty, I'm not older than you, I'm Audrianna. Or Audri. But cut the Miss Black bullshit." Audrianna wasn't used to being spoken to formerly, and she hated it. Her last name was one given to her by the exorcists. Black, meaning a black stain on the world. If she knew her mother's last name she would gladly take it, but she didn't. If she could go without a last name like her father, she would. This however, was not an option.

Victor Rodrigo de Asturias Fighter || Aria || Exwire || 1st Year Victor glanced over his shoulder to see Lloyd rejoin them. It made him wonder if everyone had already been there when he arrived. Ignazio took the herbal powder that Audrianna, taking it like a man. He gagged a bit and looked like it was very unappetizing. It made Victor wonder if Audrianna was also taking medical classes like Alexandria. Perhaps she would know and thought to ask Alex later. Ignazio thanked the women tending to him before addressing everyone about what had happened with his father. Apparently, his father was of a high status with the Vatican and perhaps in competition with Tavion. Audrianna commented on the way his father had been and revealed that she had been abandoned. It made sense that she was reclusive after hearing that but Victor couldn't help but sympathize. She had looked over to him and insinuated that he had been slow and called him a hot head. Half a smirk flashed on Victor's face as he tilted his head to look at her. He had had his hands in his pockets and didn't say anything, not feeling that she was entirely obnoxious like before. He didn't feel so hostile towards her now that he knew her a bit more, seeing into her intentions and seeing that she meant well. Ignazio said that he was fine and was ready to move on. It was up to him to lead them to where everything culminated on their exams and Victor was ready to get it over with. It was late and a bed felt real welcoming then. Audrianna seemed to be in a helpful mood and offered a ride on her familiar to Ignazio in order for him to rest. SHe then extended that offer to anyone that would like it. Victor shook his head and spoke in a low tone, looking down to the ground. "I won't be seen dead riding that thing." Victor said gesturing to the demon with his head. "I think I'll pass." He added with a nod to Audrianna. Victor was ready to get moving on a word's notice.

Alexandria Elaine Ferdinand Doctor || Knight || Exwire Alexandria was surprised to see that the boy actually choose to eat the powdery substance Audri offered. She knew it was likely extremely bitter- most herbal remedies were; but she could only smile. ‘At least he is taking other people’s help.’ She thought to herself. Ignazio began to thank them before speaking about his father- evidently that was what had been taking so long before. Some sort of exchange between the two of them. Ignazio said it the injury was nothing- only something of a ‘good-bye’ between the two.
Alexandria just shook her head; she didn't buy his fake laugh. She knew better, knowing that prior to when Ignazio left to speak to the man, he was in fact in better health. Whatever had happened between his father and himself wasn't “peaceful”. No one seemed to challenge his words, perhaps they hadn't seen what had happened- but neither did she really. Alexandria sighed, there was nothing to say about it- no point arguing when Ignazio was already on the move. He was right; they did need to get going. They needed to get started on this puzzle. And he was the only one among them who knew what it was they would be looking for.
Alexandria heard Audri’s offer but declined with a shake of her head, “I’ll pass on that offer as well.. But thanks.” She said simply as she began to walk in the direction Ignazio had left towards- the Screaming forest. She had a small laugh at Victor’s retort; the two of them seemed to argue like an old married couple.

[✯] ❧ Audrianna Hara Black ❧ [✯] "I am more than just a means to an end." Audrianna shrugged as everyone refused her offer. She figured Ignazio would refuse her help as well. She merely squeezed her thighs against Nymeria as she dashed forward, away from the others. No one would be able to keep up with them, meaning Audrianna should be the first to arrive to the forest. "They don't like me very much, princess." Audrianna then laughed to herself as the force of the wind hit her face and her hair flew behind her. "Don't take offense, Nymeria. Most of them are close-minded fools. They think they know everything, but they haven't gone beyond the walls of the Cram school. Most of them had life handed to them. They'll never understand." Nymeria's paws pounded hard against the earth as they traveled towards the forest. "I don't care if they like me. They're just lucky they didn't run into me as a wild demon." Audrianna laughed a little more to herself as she listened to her wolf demon vent. [[Exit]]

Ignazio had apologized because of the actions that occured between he and his father, but Lloyd could understand his problems. Albeit, the problem was between he and his grandfather, but at a time there was conflict between him and his father. Audrianna had came over in order to tell what she would have him do, and to that he laughed. "Rest assured. I would have made him take it the minute he refused." In his weakened state, he doubted that Ignazio would have been able to resist, and as he walked off, Audriana insisted that they call her by her first name and not her last name. While it would take little to no time, he still would make a mental note so that he remembered in order to avoid making her angry. "Let's go Lloyd! Were being left!" Victor, followed by Alexandria, had both refused to climb aboard Audrianna's familiar, but Lloyd merely nodded his head."Alright, alright." There was no telling what their test would hold for them, and the deciding moment between life or death could have very well rested with riding on Nymeria. Following behind, he made his way to the Forest, prepared to face whatever dangers came there way.
