Alistair made a quiet noise of annoyance, closing his eyes and settling against his boyfriend. "You'll figure something out between the two of you, I'm sure," he said, pressing himself as close to Lance as he could and wrapping his arms around himself.
Gabriel sighed. "I should get back and make sure she's okay," he acknowledged, "and let you two go to bed." He stood up and stretched, brushing off his pants. "I'll really appreciate the help," he said, sighing. What was he supposed to do with an amnesiac best friend?

Another roll of the eyes and Lance was gently rubbing at Alistair's neck. "And that's my que that if I don't get inside now, I am a dead man." Lance said as he slid and arm under Ali's legs and hauled him up. "Gabriel, I'm sorry."

"I don't know about dead, I like you alive," Alistair said, "but you will definitely be in quite a lot of trouble." He slid his arms around Lance's shoulders when the blond stood up, resting his head on his boyfriend's shoulder. "Gabriel," he said, "for what it's worth? I think you made the right choice. If you'd turned her away, something worse might have happened."
Gabriel sighed. "I appreciate that you think so," he said, and then he stood up and transformed back into Natron. "See you tomorrow," he said, and then he teleported back home.

"Dead man." Lance repeated, watching as Gabriel powered up and left. "You are such a drama queen when you're tired... Stop shaking before I drop you on accident."
