Another quick glance was then given in his direction. "We could save the city from its misguided inhabitants."

"I declined your offer of power; my own is destructive enough without adding the caress of chaos to it... But imagine how much better this place could be with just the right amount of mutual respect and maybe just a dash of fear." Idealistic, and at least a little bit crazy. Nothing about it seemed sane and everything about it seemed just a bit too dangerous.

"It's not really an alliance if you would still take the opportunity to corrupt me should it present itself, is it?" Her brow lofted as she watched him, bringing a hand up to tuck a strand of hair back behind her ear. "You're just waiting for the most opportune moment to take advantage of a situation that might fall into your favor. A calculated risk."

"We used to talk about things like that, when Saiph and Alshain were still alive. It was my two comrades you found me mourning in the cemetery years ago. When we were together that was our plan; to find a way to purify those who had been taken from us... Brothers, sisters, friends."

She took a step away from him, stepping up onto the ledge of the roof. "Whatever you write about me, General King Zinkenite, make sure it's good." That said she took one more step back, dropping down over the edge to the fire escape below and on from there into the night.
