Maybe someone else might have thought "what a very odd sort of person they have in Christmas Town."

Not Tink. Tink, pliable and willing and smarting somewhat from being trampled, obediently closed her eyes and searched her soul.

There was a dumb-looking snowman in it, to her vague surprise.

"Oh dear," said mental!Tink. "You're very lopsided. Are you melting?"

The snowman gave her a sour look before collecting itself, assigning itself a big beaming smile, and breaking into somewhat forced song. Mental!Tink found herself swept into a series of dance steps. She didn't trip at all. This is how she knew this was all a dream.

Oh you may be from Creepsville,
But Tinka, don't you fret!
You have the festive soul inside you
To make the best tree yet!

What's your favorite thing, my dear?
Let's get you five or ten!
It's bells, you say? Well, why stop there?
Grab thirty more, and then--

Put those bells to work, my sweet!
String them upon your tree!
May their merry tinkling bring to all
some Christmas joie de vivre!

"Oh," said Mental!Tink, "Thank you. That's very good advi--"

The Snowman apparently wasn't done.

Look deep into your heart of hearts,
If a ghost can have a heart--

"We can," said Tink quietly, still dancing and feeling a bit frantic.

--Find the meaning of the season there,
Before your guests here all depart!

"Yes," said Tink. "I'll do that. I will go and deco--"

Let's string up merry lights and look
Into your deepest soul
To find the JOY that's surely there
Beneath the lumps of coal!

"Yes," said Tink politely, her feet getting tired. "I'll just--"

That's what you get in stockings, see?
It was a clever joke!
About the inner self's deficiencies
In terms of spooky folk!

"Do you always talk in rhyme? How do--"

Come on now Tink, you have the power!
You can ace this Christmas class!
All it takes is JOY and Christmas focus,
and getting off your--

Tink gave herself a shake and gazed around at the frantic decorating that had been taking place while she was distracted. She checked back in on the mental snowman and found a puddle of water.

Oh.

Catching the attention of the teacher had not been in Mathias's plans, yet it had happened anyways. The young wolpertingers cheeks flushed red when he reached out to take the offered bell, wondering what he had done to deserve such attention, and then wondering what he had done to deserve such punishment.

A bell red bell to hang on one of his antlers, one that let out a sweet, ringing chime, a sound that made Mathias feel warm and fuzzy inside.

He hastily set the object down, gazing at it with abject horror. It was some kind of device meant to give off good cheer and Joy! He could feel it!

Chewing on his bottom lip, he kept his gaze averted from the bell as the teacher began to speak, and as the others in the class began opening their packages, so to did he, revealing inside a very small, green, pine tree, one that was bare of decorations. He tilted his head to the side to gaze at it curiously, then leaned forward to take an experimental sniff of it's needles, surprised by it's pleasant aroma, one that nearly reminded him of home.

He realized then that the teacher was still talking. Something about some kind of...spirit creature. He was instructing them to look within themselves, to find this joyful spirit, to let it guide them.

This was ridiculous.

Still, when it came time to do a little soul searching, Mathias huffed out a sigh and joined in with all of the rest, closing his eyes and searching.

All of that snow must have been really getting to him, because the best his mind could come up with was a horrendous looking snowman. He was ready to dismiss this entire thing with a shake of his head, his eyes opening, when suddenly the image he held in his mind began to speak to him, fervently, explaining that while he was only a dream now, if Mathias really, truly believed, then he would no longer just be a dream. All he had to do was believe, and clap.

Mathias frowned slightly, closed his eyes again, and sighed for a second time. He tried his very hardest to believe, and before opening his eyes again, he clapped.

....This was just silly. He felt like a total idiot now.

Getting himself some decorations, he began putting them on the tree, only partially inspired by his ugly snowman muse.

Catinka, thankfully relieved of the mental burden of an ugly snowman, timidly scooped up a kit of decorations based entirely on the fact that it jingled when picked up.

Jackpot. She spent some minutes meticulously affixing the tiny bells to the tree by way of lilac ribbon--this was a difficult task for a person with one hand but Tink had had a lifetime to get used to it--and then stringing mint-green tinsel around it.

There was a festive packet of mint and lilac glitter in the box also. She gazed at it in confusion for a long few minutes, wondering what on earth to do with glitter for a tree, before deciding that the solution, as the solution typically was with glitter as far as Catinka was concerned, was to simply dump it all over the target object.

Problem solved. She perched the tiny, jingling tree in a messy snowfall of glitter and beamed at it appreciatively.

Muse
1- A stupid looking snowman

4- Your muse(s) tell you that this is all a dream... but that if you believe, they will become real. Clap your hands and maybe just maybe, they can join you in decorating, and show you the way. They promise, they will be with you... always.

Ripping open the medium-sized present at Professor Spencer’s command, Clara found herself face to branch with ... a mini evergreen tree – a Christmas tree. She then watched the teacher pull out a multitude of kits from a bag, which shouldn’t have been possible considering how the bag was so small. She listened to the teacher continue on about decorating and themes or something (she tried to pay attention but failed), and when the teacher finished, she was allowed to work.

Clara didn’t know anything about decorating trees. ”You just throw things on top of it in a sensible manner and then you’re done, right? she thought. The odd looking pumpkin from the corner of her eye seemed to shake its body as if it were shaking its head … except it didn’t have a head. Wait—a pumpkin? It had appeared in her peripheral vision, extremely out of place compared to the rest of the room, which was, for all she could see, full of trees and decorations scattered about. The pumpkin had a deformed face, and she would have felt sorry for it, if it hadn’t attacked her just a few seconds later. Her chair slid back as Clara reacted to the sudden motion. Just as the pumpkin was about to hit her, its face completely filling her sight, it disappeared. Clara took a deep breath, trying to figure out what the traumatizing experience she’d just gone through meant.
PostPosted: Sun Dec 08, 2013 10:58 pm

She had calmed down a bit, but if anyone had looked at her carefully, he or she would see that Clara's hands were trembling ever so slightly. She ran towards the decorations and grabbed several kits she thought would go with what she had in mind before returning to her tree.

Clara didn't know what typical Christmas trees looked like, and given the appearance of Spencer and the variety of decorations he had brought, she couldn't base her tree off of either of those. Instead, Clara decorated her tree with a Halloween theme. She painted two black triangles and not-quite crescent shape for the eyes and mouth of a jack o lantern on several orange orb-shaped ornaments. While the paint was drying on those, she hung black tinsel around the tree and a string of purple and yellow lights. When the ornaments had dried, twenty minutes were almost up, so she quickly scattered them about on the tree. Last of all, she took some artificial white substance that seemed to imitate snow, and scattered it around the edges tree's branches. There, she was done. If anyone asked, she could say it was a representation of the two holidays working together... or something like that.

Kiwi closed his eyes, and drew in a deep breath as he searched his very being for any sign of a spark. He was certain lurking deep within the darkest corners of his FEAR core were the makings of a fine young warrior, with all the force of great typhoon, and all the strength of a raging fire-

But what appeared before his closed lids looked nothing short of appalling. Just what in Famine's sands was this creature?? ... THIS was his innermost muse?? ...

Kiwi peered closer, and as he did, the strangely snow-covered creature peered back, as if into the very depths of his being. And he suddenly understood. The glimmering beady eyes, the long neck and robust body. The sturdy legs, and the narrow 'beak'.

This was his totem. His beloved spirit animal, his namesake, returned to him held captive by the same white fluff that had captured all of Halloween. He was certain then. If he could channel this spirit bird's inner wisdom, he could free it from this joyous curse.

It was his duty as a horseman.

And so Kiwi set about, nimbly snatching round golden baubles that he hooked onto the limbs of his large tree. His fingers brushed across strands of silvery ... feathers?? They certainly slid through his fingers as such, and so round the tree they went. But still, something was missing ... In his mind's eye, he glanced once more to his beloved totem, and the thought struck him.

A few feathers from his hair, and the tree was complete. A shining replica of his inner warrior spirit. He closed his eyes once more with a soft and grateful smile, watching the snow melt away ... and away ... and away from his muse, until nothing but an empty puddle remained. And yet lingering in his chest remained a strangely warm feeling. An acknowledgement, as he brought his hands together in a soft clap, that his beloved muse was none-the-less very real, and would always be with him.

He lifted his eyes to the tree, and smiled.

There were trees inside the little boxes, Olivia was rather impressed by such a feat. As much to keep looking into the box, turning it over a few times to see if there was more inside. Didn't seem like there was much, but the instructor who turned out to be an instructor after all seemed to have much more in his rather large red sack. The ghoul watched with interest as he pulled out more and spoke about decorating the little trees that appeared from the box she got in the first place.

She had to dig in deep, she was told, and so Olivia closed her eyes to see if there was a deep. Dreams and visions, or those of the sort, didn't come often these days but maybe with the JOY and this christmas spirit stuff something would come. Olivia scrunched her nose, and had a deep contemplating look like she was trying just too hard. Because she was.

But something came to her, something slowly, peering before her. Fuzzy with a strange bill upon its face and webbed feet. It stared at her, and her at it, with its hollow soulless eyes that spoke of nothing that would help with this assignment. But, Olivia in turn didn't even ask of it what she was supposed to do. All she did was stare back, with a smile on her face.

Yes. It was going very well.

Olivia couldn't say for certain that she found her 'spark' from the strange little animal that came to her in a vision. Or if she found it when she just got up from her seat and went to the table and saw the endless possibilities before her. She had nothing in mind, but something just came over her and the ghoul grabbed a few items (or 10) and made it back to her tree.

It was small in stature, but that didn't mean it wasn't big in possibilities (oh look at us, getting deep). Her glowing blue eyes transfixed on the branches for a moment, touching them lightly before she got to work. Sadly, most of what she brought was just too much for the little tree, the weight unable to sustain many of the ornaments and the quantities she at first had in mind. At one point there was barely any tree seen at all. Some sense knocked into her, taking away some of the mass and left the tree with a simpler look (surprisingly really) and her usual palette of blue. And glitter. Because it needed glitter. Always needed glitter.

Though it would have been better to have all the things, Olivia was rather pleased with her little tree and smiled brightly at it. She held a finger at the tip, frosting it lightly with her found ability. And... kept at it a few times since it simply melted away after a few seconds. She wasn't quite good at it yet.

Mellow thought they were going to decorate the big tree in the middle, but obviously he realized he was wrong as he opened the present. Inside it was a small green tree that like the shrank version of the tall big tree. Decorating it? He had no jacking idea. Followed the reindeer professor's instruction, he quiet down and closed his eyes. He searched through his mind, when he heard something coming. It was - was - was an odd thing. Mellow was sure that he didn't see that creature before, dense fur with a duck-like muzzle. It stared creepily at him that made the boil shivered. It just stared. Then he seemed to hear someone asking "why do you exist?" That was a difficult question to answer as Mellow himself didn't have the answer. ....

2- Your muse(s) stare at you, with hollow, soulless eyes. You are left to contemplate the meaning of existence and the connection you share with the Christmas tree on a spiritual level.

""Yeah! Open time!" Head happily yelled. Holding one side of the ribbon in its mouth, it jerked it off. "AJ! Look! There's a cute little tree inside!" The excitement continued. Decorating a bare green tree would be fun. AJ smiled and dug through the drawers in his mind and surprisingly saw a creature walking funnily towards him. It was a cute little fluffy thing, he stepped forward, thinking of picking it up while it broke like puzzles with melody coming out. It was a song. He knew what he gonna to do.

Bren chuckled at Piper's approach and declaration, his reaction little more than a simple exhalation of air and a faint smile to the outside observer. He wasn't quite sure this was the best class he had ever taken, but the cookies were a nice touch. "Yes. The food is quite good... surprisingly."

He took another bite of his cookie as he watched Ruth's silent display, puzzling out what he thought she meant as well as he could. The boil mimicked her gesture with his own hand, eventually choosing the more destructive of her possibilities.

"Could be an explosive device. Or... an animal, I guess." He peered over at Professor Prancer, then back at the ghouls, his expression easy to read. These Christmas folk were very strange.

Unfortunately, he didn't get a chance to elaborate. Their reindeer instructor chose that moment to give them something to do, and with his curiosity fueled by their conversation, Brenley liberated his tiny tree fairly speedily. Hm. He wasn't really sure he wanted to feel anything deep within himself at the moment, but he was here to learn, so he gave it a try. The boil closed his eyes and was immediately assaulted by a singing snowman. No. That was not happening again. He hurried over to the teacher's desk, picked up some decorations, and made his way back to Ruth and Piper, intent on decking.

Mellow stared at his little green tree, it was perfect with that green, however the reindeer asked them to "decorate".....The pony sighed and moved towards the boxes with ornaments. He simply picked a star and put it on the top of the tree. Then, he grabbed a jars of melted marshmallow and poured it over the tree, making its surface sticky. The fake reindeer looked at the tree that looked like himself. Nope. With a ":/" face, he sprayed the glitters from the top of it, the whole bottle until everything was so sparkly.

Done.

The tree maybe a bit too sweet in smell and too sparkly, but Mellow didn't care. It was just like him, like a mess.

===

Whistling the song, AJ skipped to pick what he needed. Green was nice, but not better than red. He chose to follow his heart, placing the branches from nowhere around the tree. Further observation gave you a hint, it seemed like a camp fire?! Soon, you understood that you didn't get it wrong as he collected more woods around the little evergreen tree. He then stopped and -

- ignited the woods!

The tree slowly turned into coal, turning into a color of black. Well before it deteriorated, the boil extinguished it, leaving a wet coal fragile tree. He then gently wrapped the tree with red ribbons he had collected, thin and thick, rounds after round until the ribbons seemed to support the skeleton of the tree remain. Lastly, he sprinkled some gold sands as if he was a professional cook doing his final taste adjustment.

He smiled at his masterpiece.

Perfect.

How am I supposed to decorate an pumplin? She thought hard and long and came up with an idea.

"Hopefully this will work."

She took some paper and draw and cutted out four wheels. she took a knife and started to carve a door and she opened up the inside of the pumpkin and took the insides in it out. After which she painted the pumpkin in a metal kind of color. She taped the wheels into the pumpkin.

She worked for hours putting together anything she could find to make her pumpkin complete.

The end result the pumpkin looked like Cinderalla's carriage.

"Whew I'm done."

She looked over at the other students decorating their own stuff.
