When Scott heard 'order what you like', that was a clear cut sign to go for the most basic and yet pleasing of pizza, and that, in the Erlea household, was pepperoni. He gave a nod, grabbing the phone and punching a number he knew by heart. Paul was making grabby hands to the phone, and only when it started ringing did he pass the phone off to the child on his shoulders, as he moved towards the living room. Mikey, John and George, who had made his triumphant return from the restroom and hands still wet from washing his hands, flocked in after him, each one claiming a spot on the sofa and on the floor, with some wriggle room left for Isha.

As Paul made the order, Scott flashed Isha a hurt look, and it wasn't presently clear if he was joking or not. "Not you too... look, she's cute and sweet and all, but trust me, I don't think she likes me. In fact," he then leaned over to whisper in Isha's ear. "I don't think she likes men at all. Which is perfectly fine, just... yeah, you know."

Paul passed the phone off to Scott, giving a shout as he did so, "Pizza ordered! Pepperoni and meat lovers, yum!"

Returning the phone to its holster, Scott was willing to allow the topic of the pretty girl to drop, and not just because of his fear of the opposite gender. The memory of their last sleep over was still fresh in his mind and he had a sinking suspicion that the topic was still delicate on both his and Isha's mind. They weren't here to talk about girls and love interests, at least not around the little ones, but to watch movies and have a good time! "Isha, you're the guest, so you get the first pick. We can watch a movie you brought, then we'll pick from there. Sound good?"

PICK A MOVIE, ANY MOVIE!

"Scott, noo, don't make that face! It's breaking my heart!" Unlike Scott's reaction, which could have been placed for a true feeling, Isha's was overly flashy, and he pretended to grasp at his chest, as if his heart really was breaking. He would have dramatically fallen onto the couch and risk squishing the smaller Erlea children, but Scott leaned in first, whispering into his ear.

"Oh, yeah, perfectly fine! Perfectly fine indeed, I say!" How could someone even tell? Did he personally know the pizza girl? It was really none of his business, and he couldn't say that he cared all that much either, as her task was to simply deliver pizza, not make the boys who lived in the house swoon after her.

"Save me the corner seat with an armrest! I'll be right back!" Isha tried to remember all the movies he had brought with him, and went back into Scott's room, grabbing them from his bag, and rushing back into the living room, setting them all out neatly on the table.

"Okay, I brought alot of movies for us to watch, and a few other's for me and Scott later, but that's another thing. So I have... The Incredibles, Monsters Inc, The Original Karate Kid, you know, the one from 1984, Up, and How to Train Your Dragon. You guys can choose, but that's the choices I have!"

The younger ones of the Erlea family simply adored Isha's acting and played along, even as Scott could only sit back and give a mild chuckle. Here he was, being serious, and it would figure his friend would want to make a joke about it. At least it was an entertaining joke, as he couldn't stop himself from smiling at his antics. "Then you shouldn't tease me so. It's my natural defenses when I feel like I am being teased, you know."

As the rest of the Erleas got into place, making sure to leave a spot open where their guest requested, Scott got the tv and dvd player set up, keeping himself busy as Isha ran to go get the dvds he brought with him. He took this opportunity to address his siblings, flashing them a warm smile before grabbing the remote. "Thanks for being so well-behaved, guys. It means a lot to me and I'll definitely make it up to you someday."

"Don't get all sappy!" Mikey said, blowing off his thanks but not meaning it in malice. "I demand ice cream as a reward!"

Children, so easily persuaded over with treats... Scott could not have been any happier, and every was set up, just in time for Isha to return with the movies. Once the selection was presented to them, the children started speaking up again, loudly and trying to speak over one another. Before Scott could raise his voice and try to restore order, Paul had grabbed How to Train Your Dragon and was already trying to open it's case. Before he could either break the case or hurt himself, Scott took it from his hands and popped it in, letting the sound be the gavel to restore order within the Erlea household. "Alright! Dragons it is!"

He looked to Isha for approval before pushing the tray in. "If that's okay with you?"

"You know I'd never mean it, Scott. I think my heart would break into a thousand pieces if I knew I hurt you in any way!" Again he clutched at his heart, falling over the edge of the couch this time and landing comfortably on his back, smiling up at him. Such a thousand separate thoughts went across his mind. One to pull down Scott on top of him and smother him in cuddles, possibly causing a dog pile of Erleas to joins them, one to just hold onto him and not let him go, not to let himself change later on so that he didn't have to leave him ever. And yet the one that took prevalence was simply to go just as he was, with not a thing wrong.

"Yeah, sure, of course it is! I'm excited for the new one that's going to be coming out soon! It's going to be awesome! I really wish I had a dragon, to be able to fly like that! Though I could do without the lightning." As Scott bent down, he made himself comfortable in his preferred seat, wondering if his friend was going to sit beside him, or would the space be occupied by all of the little ones. Not that he minded at all.

"Alright, so who's gonna sit next to me?"

ChibiGingi

Mikey whispered something in John's ear and the two giggled, but a stern glare from Scott soon quieted them down. He was starting to lose his temper at all the jabs being made about him, even if he couldn't hear them he just knew they were talking about him, and once they and Isha settled down on the couch, he grabbed the remote and joined them, taking the empty spot next to Isha without hesitation. He motioned for Paul to follow and the four year old bounced upon and down a few times before leaping onto his lap, nestling himself perfectly against his oldest brother's chest and placing his head under his chin as he shouted, "Ready, ready, ready!"

With everyone comfortable in their space, Scott waved the remote as though it were a magic wand, letting the TV and DVD player start up as he leaned over and whispered to Isha, his excitement clear to hear in his voice. "I can't wait either. I don't even care if it's a kid's movie- it's awesome! We should make plans to go see it when it comes out..."

It was such a great feeling to know that he'd now have someone outside of his family to go on such outings. Not that he hated his family, but to have such a friend like a normal kid after so many years just dealing with acquaintances, it was just overwhelming for someone like Scott to think about. He tried not to squee at the thought, thankful that Paul shouted to hide the noise that might have escaped from his lips at that very moment. "Dragons!"

Cooro Cooro
No, I'm sorry! I didn't mean to make you wait so long! Also, we can just sort of skip ahead through the movie, if that's okay with you?

Isha tilted his head a bit, raising an eyebrow at the two mischievous kids whispering, but said nothing, only pulling his knees to his chest in a comfy position as he waiting for the movie to start. The little whisper in his ear only made him smile, not confirming or denying the idea. Before the night was over, he'd have to tell him.. He'd have to say his goodbyes, but until then, there was only him, the children, and the movies. His own little bubble of happiness and peace.

Pizza delivered and devoured, and the movie credits rolling gave the blue-eyed boy a chance to stand up and stretch backwards, his body popping every now and then. As much as he adored movies, staying in one place too long certainly wasn't good for him. His eyes wandered to the little Erleas, curious to see who was sleeping at this point from full bellies and darkness, and who was still wide awake.

"Alright, what's next, Scotty?"

ChibiGingi
Yeah, sure~ biggrin I'm skipping after the movie and pizza!

Thus far, things had gone much better than expected, and between the movie, the pizza, and the time spent sitting, four of the five Erlea boys were out. George was the first out, surprisingly enough, followed by John. Mikey, who had eaten the most and made a big deal about it, eventually drifted into the land of snores, leaving only Scott, Paul and Isha to watch the climax. Paul had tried to stay awake, but by the time the ending credits were rolling, the four year old was sleeping silently against Scott's shoulder.

"Looks like it's just the two of us," Scott said softly, looking at Isha and flashing him a humored look though his movement was limited thanks to the pile of sleeping boys that surrounded them. In response to Isha's question, he figured that there was only one course of action to take, and that was to get the boys into bed- it was getting late and Scott himself could feel his eyes wanting to droop from the amount of pizza in his gut. "Guess we'll get these guys into bed and decide what to do until then. Let's go…"

He started wit the smallest one and easiest one first, and he left into the back of the house. A few minutes later, he returned, grabbing George, and giving John a shake, whispering for him to get up and pass the message along to the snoring Mikey. He couldn't even think of carrying those two to the bedroom, and he called to Isha as he hefted George over his shoulder. "Pick out a movie. I'll be back once they're all tucked in… this shouldn't take too long."

"Y-yeah, the two of us.." He followed Scott around a bit as he helped the kids with their bed routines, opting to help rather than just sit around while Scott did all the work. Though he did not voice it, Isha envied his brothers, of the connection they all had with their big brother, and how comfortable they were around one another. If he were near one of his siblings, he could not even imagine being able to sleep with them so close. They might as well have been strangers.

Soon enough, they were all tucked away, and he returned to the living room, sifting through the movies with Scott by his side again. In all honesty, he couldn't think of anything he wished to watch. There was too much weighting on his mind to be able to enjoy another movie without the siblings there to distract them again.

"Do you think we could just talk for a bit? I have a, well, more than a few things I want to talk to you about, and if you're still up for a movie or something afterwards, I'd be all for it." Unlike his happy, bubbling self from earlier, when the children were out and about, Isha seemed so much more somber, uncertain with himself. Even if it seemed like a terrible idea, Scott was his best friend, and he wouldn't just leave him without saying a thing, even if the thing would end up being a lie.

Scott certainly didn't mind Isha shadowing him and didn't allow it to get in the way of his work. He hoped he didn't take offense to not being chatty with him as the routine required a lot of hushed tones and whispering, and the only one that tried to resist the call to sleep was Mikey, but eventually, each of the younger Erleas were in bed, all gathered in the second bedroom and leaving Scott's clear for him and his guest for whenever they'd decide to settle down for the night.

"Sorry about that… you know younger siblings," Scott said with a chuckle, scratching the back of his head as he returned to the living room. As Isha sorted through the movies, he sought to fill in the unusual silence that had suddenly overcome his household. He never quite liked it when things got quiet in this household- it was usually a sign that one of the boys was up to something, but Scott took comfort in knowing that they were, in fact, fast asleep. "All bouncing off the walls one minute, then out cold the next. I guess they got a short fuse, heh… must run in the Erlea family."

Isha surprised him with the request just to talk, and immediately, something within Scott shot a warning flare in his mind. When someone said something along the lines of 'we need to talk', it never mattered who they were or what they wanted to discuss, but it usually always meant something bad, and Scott tried to mentally prepare himself for the bomb that Isha was preparing to drop. It could have been nothing and he was overreacting, per usual. But it could have been something.

"Uh, sure, whatever you want. You're the guest! So… what you want to talk about? They boys aren't being too rowdy, are they?"

"No, no, not at all! They were all so much fun, and precious, and I adore each of them. I haven't had this much fun in.. Well, since the last time we were together. But now, it's all going to come to an end." He shifted his position on the couch, turning to face Scott completely, trying to wipe any sign of exhaustion or the previous lightheartedness he had felt earlier from his demeanor.

"Scott.. In all honesty, with every single fiber of my being, I can say that you are the most important person in my life. I'd do anything for you, and If I had my way, I would ask to be by your side forever. I mean, I think.. We didn't really talk about it last time, but I would like to think my feelings for you are.. Were rather obvious, but I just wanted to say it out loud before I had to go... Before you ask, I am leaving to return to India soon. I can't tell you why, but it just has to happen.. And I think today, this evening, and the morning that is to follow will be the last time I'll ever see you.. I hate the idea of dropping this on you, but it was such a sudden decision that I have no choice. I'm not like you, I haven't reached that pinnacle of freedom yet, so I must do what I'm told.. I'd rather tell you now, before I lost the opportunity forever.."

Falling silent now, Isha tried to keep his eyes low, expecting Scott to explode with anger, or tell him to get out. Why? Well, he wasn't quite sure; the older boy had hardly ever shown him any sign of having rage problems, but that's certainly how he would have reacted to such news himself.. That his best friend was just up and going to leave without any further notice..

Was it truly called paranoia if one's suspicions were true? Scott had figured that something heavy was weighing on Isha's mind from the moment he arrived but he played it off as irrational paranoia bred from the flopped sleepover from the past, but now he could see the fruits of his worried nature bloom, and he wasn't as prepared for it as he thought he'd be. Oh, but he tried! One couldn't say that Scott Erlea didn't try to bite back his fear when it came to bad news...

Isha's confession certainly didn't help to ease the blow, but thankfully, the pain that Scott felt at the news was more than enough to chase away any thought of awkward feelings that might have tried brewing from such a statement. Isha was right in the sense that his feelings were obvious, and to add to the growing sorrow he felt was guilt that, while Isha was his only, and best, of friends, that he could not return the same love to him, even if he tried. Isha was his friend… and now he was leaving? Back to India?

"Oh…"

Scott felt like a monster. Here Isha was, spilling out his heart and soul before him and telling him that this would likely be the last time they saw each other, and all he could manage to say was a listless 'oh'? Scott hated himself. He always had, and always would, he suspected, but never was the emotion ever so red hot as it was at this very moment. His teeth hurt from the grinding that Isha couldn't see from his tightly closed mouth. His knuckles hurt from the way he curled his fists. His head hurt from all the screaming and hate-filled words he had reserved for himself, somehow knowing it was his fault. Perhaps not his directly, but the war that threatened to slowly consume the city with each passing day likely had a hand in his impending departure, and while it should have been enough to know that he'd be safe in India, Scott found little comfort. Fine and all for Isha and his family, but where would that leave him?

Alone. Like he always was, even when surrounded by family. He was always alone, when surrounded by classmates and even the Negaverse.

And all he could say was, "Oh… okay. Well… what movie did you wanna watch then?"

Oh... That was all he got.. It was strange, foreign, to have no reaction whatsoever, atleast words wise. With his eyes cast downwards, he saw the white knuckles on curled fists, a sure sign of stress, if he understood correctly. His own hands went to Scott's, resting ontop of the others, though his eyes remained down turned. As quiet as his blonde friend was being at the moment, Isha knew that his mind was anything but. Scott was hurting, just as he was, maybe even more so.. But what could he even do to bring comfort to the other?

"Scott..." His name came out as only a whisper from his lips, which had turned a slight rose color from being bitten down on as he waited for the other to respond. He should have just gone with what Scott mentioned, picked another movie, and let his feelings subside, allowing himself to wallow in his own self-pity and self imposed emotional distress. But his own aching heart couldn't wait any longer. Even if he was hated, even if Scott cursed his name, there was something he had to do before he would part from his side forever.

It couldn't mean anything between them. There was no way that what he did could ever amount to anything, not now, not with his own course of action that was going to take place, or with Scott's own preferences, but damned did it feel amazing to finally put all of his own bottled emotions out in such a manner. Isha stunned himself at how smoothly the motion seemed to go. Looking up, leaning in close to the older boy, keeping his hands firmly ontop of the other's without making it seem like he was trapped, then finally, pressing his lips against Scott's in the most tender and awkward of ways. It was to be brief, lasting for only a moment, for he would never with to anger or scare his best friend for any reason.

And yet he lingered, almost frightened to pull away from the boy he held so very dearly. What if he was shoved away? Hit? Chased out of the house? Yes, it would make everything so much easier to part with, to make things turn bitter, rather than resolve them. but he could not even move, not now, not when he was so close, not when he wished so hard that this moment wouldn't end.

More often then not, Scott was a victim of his emotions and was warned by his parents and teachers that he needed to keep it under control, and even though he knew he was coming off as a heartless ice queen (king?), he just didn't want to do anything that would have made matters even worse. Yet, Isha seemed oblivious to his efforts and had not only approached him but placed a hand on his own, and Scott hoped that he wouldn't have felt his flinch or seen the 'what are you doing' that screamed in his eyes as he looked at his friend.

Isha moved too fast for him and that was probably for the best that he got the kiss in before Scott could open his mouth to ask his intention, otherwise it was certainly possible that their tongues would have met. It took Scott a little too long to figure out exactly what was going on, and again it was for the best, as he was more paralyzed on the spot as opposed to suddenly becoming defensive and thrashing about. He suspected something was amiss with his friend, but he was to dense to have seen… this

'Oh god, oh god, oh god…' Scott may have been scared stiff on the outside, but on the inside, he was screaming, loudly, with sheer terror that he hoped to never escape his lips. It was why he kept his mouth shut. He knew that the minute he unlocked his jaw and spoke, terrible things might have escaped from their teethy prison, so he just stood there. Waiting… holding perfectly still so that he wouldn't hurt Isha anymore than he already had...

Again, there was nothing. No movement against either his hands or his lips. Not a sounds, no whisper or whimper or anything.. And it hurt. Damn did his heart travel so quickly up his chest, to his throat. It felt as if every drop of blood in his head dropped to his feet, and he was left feeling cold and alone.

Isha finally pulled away from Scott, moving his hands back to his own lap, and turning to look straight ahead, towards where television was buzzing lowly. Finally, the tears came. Nothing loud, or ugly, just a few drops of relief, of finally having gotten rid of the feelings he had been harboring since he had first met the boy.

"What will you do with me now..?" Isha could not look at Scott this time, instead his pale blue eyes closed, and his chest gave a slight heave. The entire time he spoke, his voice remained soft, shaking with each word.

"I'm sorry.. I just.. Maybe I thought that I could try to find a reason to fight to stay here, to know that there would be a place I could be welcomed not only as a friend, but a.. It was stupid! I should have known.. I just.. Tell me to leave, get angry with me, curse me, hit me, just do something.."

To say that this was probably one of the worst nights ever in his life was a gross understatement, but for the life of him, he couldn't bring himself to say anything. He wanted to speak up, or against, what his friend was doing, he wanted to say something, react, either favorably or unfavorably for his friend, but he felt like a deer caught in the headlights. He thought he was doing good… he thought that by giving his friend what he wanted, maybe that'd be enough to make him stay, but he knew he did something wrong when Isha began to cry.

Scott wasn't sure what to say or do in regards to Isha's question, and when his friend pulled away and started rambling, he withdrew into himself. If he was a turtle, he would have tried retreating into his shell and wait for the storm to pass, but he knew he couldn't. Not when his friend was hurting so, and it was all his fault. He wanted to help. He wanted Isha to stay, not just for the night but not go back to India, but he didn't know what to say or do that wouldn't make the problem worse. That's all Scott ever did, wasn't it?

"But… I… don't want to…" Scott said, feebly, at Isha's request. All of those things would have definitely hurt him, and he didn't want to hurt Isha. Not like that. Did Isha want that? Why would anyone want that? Scott took a step back, hoping, praying that none of his siblings snuck out of bed and was watching this, and he shook his head, never before having sounded so defeated or meek. "I don't want to hurt you. I don't want you to go. I… um… I just… I don't know. I really, really don't know… but if you want to go, or need to go, then… I guess I can't stop you."

He tried not to cry. He didn't want to cry. He felt his eyes watering up, but he tried his best to not cry...
