L ii a t h So I was thinking - if you're down, Ash - that maybe Soi says something to Thorne or Car that ultimately convinces Car to join? Mainly out of spite, but also to prove she's not some helpless, worthless girl - an issue she struggles with a lot.
and then cue jealous anger at giggling girls??

Ok, first, a quick summary on where Thorne and Caroline are currently:
After the meta, Caroline and Thorne didn't see or speak to one another for like...five months? Meta to know; however long that is. Thorne's father had just passed, and he was chosen, in the same night, so for a while, he was just in this weird state, and didn't want to write and worry Caroline. Caroline was pretty much on lock down; after the whole fiasco at the ball, her parents freaked and forbid her from going anywhere. (I was on a hiatus, so we used those reasons to explain the long stretch of time they went without speaking). Fall comes, and Caroline's parents host a fox hunt at their estate. Caroline takes the opportunity, and invites Thorne; Thorne, of course, attends. It's at the party that Thorne finally meets Caroline's fiance, Lawrence Bickerton, and Lawrence is a total a**. He doesn't like the relationship this scruffy hunter has with his fiancee (he doesn't really care for Caroline at all; he's just possessive, and refuses to tolerate his to be wife being all cozy with some other guy). Hunt starts, and instead of going after the fox, Lawrence tracks Thorne down, and shoots him in the shoulder. The two fight, Thorne breaks Lawrence's nose, and Lawrence runs off, trying to blame the fight on Thorne. Thorne shows up, bleeding and whatnot, and Caroline just snaps. She starts yelling at Lawrence, calling him a liar, all that jazz. Ultimately, Caroline's father steps in, breaks it up, and Thorne is sent off to get patched up.
Roughly a month later, it's Samhain, and Caroline tells her parents she's going to attending a party at a friend's; but it's a lie. They buy it, and Caroline rides off to Thorne's place, to spend the night and next day with him. That's the rp we're currently doing. It's just a cute little rp; he's teaching her how to skip stones, and they're just getting to know one another better~
Cool, summary over (think I got all the important stuffs in). I had a lot of cool plots and whatnot in mind...and then as soon as I sat to write them, I forgot. Ya. Urgh. So, the following might sound kind of rambley; just trying to get my thoughts out there.
Cap and I have plotted a few things together (before the four of us decided to get cozy). The one she mentioned; Val spilling Thorne's feeeeeeeels once he's awakened. Cap, I've been thinking, maybe this happens without Thorne knowing? At least, not right away. Like, maybe while Thorne is in the other room or something, Val tells Caroline what's up. So then that puts that on Caroline; she think she knows how Thorne feels, so know she has to realize her own feelings, but she's not sure, because he didn't tell her himself, and ya, she has to figure all that out. Val could maybe let it slip later to Thorne that he clued Caroline in, so then Caroline and Thorne are both separately like "uhhhhhhhhwhattodo" and...ya, we can figure that out xD
Ash, I'm totally thinking we need a Soi/Car rp, or at least a moment in a larger rp. I kind of had this idea of them meeting up somehow, and hashing some things out (though it's not productive, and just kind of pisses both of them off...). Maybe it occurs after the Soi/Thorne rp, and Thorne tells Caroline about it, like 'hey, met this strange woman, she told me about splinter cell and some other personal things' (cap and I can figure that out), and Caroline is both intrigued and like 'oh s**t what'. So during the Soi/Car convo, Car brings it up, like 'hey, Thorne said you met, what's with this splinter cell thing' and Soi is like 'pssssh, you can't join, you're dumb'. Just totally stabs at her self confidence and whatnot. Soi infuriates Car at this point, and Car's like 'ha, I'll show you, I can do stuff too!'.
Now, if could either end there, or it could escalate. If escalate, maybe Soi tells Car that she and Thorne should come to a training session, to see what they can do (or however it works). Queue a new rp (or time skip in the same rp) with the session. Maybe Rob is there, and that's where he and Caroline reunite, and Thorne and Rob first meet? Or that can happen later - either way, Soi decides she's going to act as Car's 'trainer' and just totally ends up kicking Car's butt (either literally or figuratively) and then, of course, rubs in the fact that Car sucks at just about everything. Cap and I hadn't really plotted, but mentioned, that in the future, Thorne might teach Car how to defend herself. So perhaps this incident is what queues that Thorne/Car rp?
Again, sorry it sounds all....ksdklnklvsa. Can't keep my freaking thoughts straight right now. Took me an hour just to write this xD
cap Ohmygosh so many plots haha. Now I'm thinking it depends on how things play out here. If we don't do the whole SC thing, then for sure! If we do...well, we're still doing the warden grounds thing cause it was so awesome xD

ok ok I have settled down a little now
@val's poor secret keeping ability; I like this idea! I can see Thorne being like "YOU TOLD HER WHAT WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT VAL COME ON YOURE SUPPOSED TO BE MY BRO" and then freaking out over what she's thinking/thinks of him at that point and etc. Excellent yes yes yes.
@after Soi interrogates Thorne and etc; yes good excellent
also @ training grounds idea; that could work really well actually, Thorne would likely feel really guilty about letting Soi get the better of Caroline?? (maybe because he realizes that if they ever got attacked for real he isn't sure that he could keep her safe?) after that he'd take it upon himself to teach her something to at least defend herself since the longer the winter carries on the more and more dangerous I'm assuming it's going to get.

xDDDDD She doesn't actually have to say that! I'm summarizing haha. (Although for real, Soi has all the permission in the world to be as big a b***h as she wants to Caroline - it's not like Caroline is going to break her nose hahaha)
@Secret spilling: Exactly! There ya go, you explained it much better hahaha.
@Training: Yaaaa! And then we can still do the 'giggling girls, grr jealous' thing whenever the warden grounds open - I'm assuming the next meta, so hopefully relatively soon. Should be easy peasy to work in to whatever plots we may have going at the time.
Also, even though Val told on Thorne, maybe Thorne doesn't tell Caroline himself how she feels until after Lawrence dies? Just a thought - again, suppose it depends on when he dies. Leaves a lot more time for drama.

in all seriousness though that would make perfect sense. Thorne mostly holds back because he knows that she's already promised to another and he's trying not to get so involved that he gets hurt when the inevitable happens (also failing terribly at that). realistically he would more than likely reveal his actual feelings after Lawrence was... disposed of.

That was pretty much my thought process as well. Even though he knew that Caroline knew his feelings (assuming Val chose to share this with Thorne), neither of them would acknowledge it to one another. I know Caroline wouldn't - she'd try to write it off, try to tell herself that Val was just messing with her. She'd want it to be true, but with Lawrence alive, she knows it just...it couldn't happen. I mean, it'd be tragically beautiful for them to admit their feelings before he dies, but I imagine it's going to take them a while before they truly even come to the conclusion, what with Rob and Soi now also entering the picture, and all that awesomeness.
