A pout almost seemed to cross her lips as Eamonn chided her for given the sniper a hard time. He was right, and she knew that, but clearly the situation didn't call for her joking manner. At least everything was somewhat returning to normal. Eamonn gave his orders to the two, Kyes giving a wave and disappearing above them while Arel silently moved off behind them to make sure they weren't being followed. Lia remained holding Yute until everyone else seemed ready to move, at which point she slowly got up onto her feet. Yute didn't bother waiting for Lia, he just started walking off ahead of the group as she focused on Eamonn and his words. He was very relaxed even though the situation had been bad for them. He was one of the few people she expected to walk off a near death experience and continue on as if nothing had happened. They were on their way though, Eamonn having started off and Lia hurrying to fall into step beside him. Yute was still walking ahead of them, likely acting as the scout since Arel was behind them making sure they weren't being followed. He didn't seem pleased with his task though.
The canyon walls had dipped down during their walk, making it clear that they were approaching the end of the ravine they had been in. Lia was walking with a bright smile on her face, humming some song of all things as she skipped every few steps. Yute was still in sight ahead of them, but a fair distance ahead, much farther than most Gf's would risk wandering form their summoner. The situation was getting weird though, as Eamonn seemed to note. The oblivious Lia hardly seemed to notice until Eamonn asked something. She stopped her humming and thought for a moment, looking up at the sky before nodding. "Mmhm! It's kinda weird though. It should be freezing so there shouldn't be any weird humidity." It was a rather unpleasant feeling. Her scarf acted to protect her against the winter elements with it's fire, but she could still feel the cold dampness to the air that was uncomfortable. It actually reminded her of standing near the ocean during winter, where the air was very moist but also very cold.
The situation was getting worse the farther they went though. She could see puddles now, and the snow that had been so firm before was slushy. The air temperature hadn't changed at all, so everything was still freezing cold, but odd things were happening to their surroundings. Yute had actually backed up towards them a good ways and was now only a few yards ahead, seeming uneasy. Lia blinked as a droplet of rain landed on her noise, getting her to look up. At this point, Eamonn called for everyone to be on alert. This sent the recruits into a nervous fit, give they had all almost died in the last encounter they had with a monster. Yute abruptly stopped and started back stepping towards them and that was what tipped Lia off. "It's close." She said quietly, hand dropping to her blade's handle. Behind them there was still no sign of a flare from Arel, meaning they weren't being followed, unless they'd got Arel.
The faint droplets of rain were starting to turn into a more gradual rainfall, replacing the snow entirely. The rain was absolutely freezing to the touch though, almost as if it were supposed to still be snow but something was making it rain. The recruits were shivering in moments, and it wouldn't be long before the rain drenched them all. Lia and Eamonn would likely be fine with their GF related boons in regards to the cold, but that did little to help the others. "... Eamonn, I have a bad feeling. I don't think we should be here. Yute's getting nervous. I think we need to get out of this ravine before something happens." Yute getting nervous was warning enough. Yute had never acted in a manner like this, slinking back to Lia like this with his fur on end and his eyes searching the area intently. The end of the ravine was in site, but the rain seemed to be getting more intense in front of them. This was not the best situation, and the fact that a guardian force was this nervous about the rain did not bode well for them. Very few things scared guardian forces.

Koyuki wasn't sure the recruits would be able to handle much more damage than what they received, hopefully there wouldn't be anymore trouble on the way to Esther though she highly doubt that. Koyuki got herself situated for the recruits giving them last minute treatments before they began to head off. Evans seemed pretty banged up out of most of the group. He was the most inexperienced from the group so he wasn't as physically capable as the rest. Koyuki assisted him as it seemed that his injuries still had some affect to him from walking properly. "Don't worry. I'm sure we'll get there soon." Whether that was true or not she hoped it eased his mind somewhat, but she wasn't sure if it helped him at all.
Continuing on the path it seemed that the air around them felt a bit different, and not only that it began to rain. "Whats going on? Why is it raining all of a sudden?" Not only that both Eamonn, and Lia seemed to be on edge about something. Was something causing this? Or was the weather putting them on edge. The rain was rather cold and the already below freezing temperature didn't help at all. "Wish I had something to keep the rain off of me." She thought to herself as they continued walking with the group. As if it wasn't strange enough it seemed that the rain got more intense as they walked further. It wasn't till they made it to the end of the ravine that the rain really was coming down and completely soaking everyone. Looking around was rather hard. The rain seemed to only block her sight by splashing multiple amounts of droplets of water that hit her eyes. "Dammit why is it raining so hard? I can't see anything without getting water in my eyes." She said as she rubbed her eyes, though it didn't help much considering she was soaked from head to toe.
At this point Koyuki felt that this weather was too abnormal to be just nothing. It felt as if this violent rain weather along with the wind were the signs of some danger just ahead of them. Koyuki could tell that the danger was far from over. Evans didn't look too good so she would have to make sure he would survive whatever danger was to be thrown at them. Hopefully the others would be able to protect themselves from whatever threat that came at them/

Eamonn asked, giving Eliana a sideways glance. "Alright then." He said, nodding and sliding his sword back into its sheath. "Lets pick up the pace!" He order the recruits. "Move, now! I want us out of this ravine half an hour ago!" And with that his brisk strike turned into a jog, forcing the others to either run with him or be left behind. He had a measure of faith in Eliana's instincts, and if she said she had a bad feeling he was partially inclined to go with her on it.
Bringing his fingers to his mouth, he whistled, signalling to the sniper above and the scout ahead to be on alert, even more than what they already were. 'Is it too much to ask for things to go my way, just once?' He thought sourly, trying to think back to a time anything ever had. 'I don't feel like Sou-Ho had to deal with half this much crap as I've had to.' Yet things still hadn't ended well for him, which made Eamonn wonder where he'd end up with the way things were going for him. 'No where good, that's for sure.' He thought, looking from the left to the right. They were coming up on the end of the ravine, and soon the would be at the cliffs. "Almost there, let's keep moving!" He barked at the recruits. Lia watched Eamonn with no lack of concern as he seemed to think. She waited for his order as he sheathed his blade, telling them it was time to go. He didn't hesitate, turning away from the others and moving into a jog that led him quickly ahead of the others. Lia motioned, silently, for the others to hurry before taking off after him, holding her swords sheath tightly. Yute ran alongside her, looking every which direction as they went. Eamonn's whistle carried through the air with no difficulty, but if the scout and sniper heard it was unknown. In fact, the only thing for certain was that the rain was still falling, and that there was now flowing water at their feet. They were mere yards from the end of the ravine when Lia suddenly came to a stop. "EAMONN!" Her warning was too late for all of them.
Water exploded up all over them, flooding pouring over them. It didn't hurt, nor was it cold which told her they were not dealing with normal water. She drew her sword and slammed the blade into the ground as the water tried to pull her back into the ravine. It only lasted a short few seconds, but it was enough to send the recruits all back a good 50 yards, where they were pushing themselves up onto their feet. Lia had taken only a moment to glance back at them, and when she looked forward, her eyes went wide. Standing at the end of the ravine was a woman, or what could best be described as a woman. The woman stood firmly, looking down at all of them as if they were nothing more than ants to her. She was pretty tall, at least to Lia, Standing almost double her height with a blade that seemed to shimmer and shift like flowing water. Yute was crouched down next to her, steam rising from his firey fur as he glared ahead.
"She's a guardian force." Lia breathed out, recognizing the similarities between Yute and the woman facing them down. "You who have destroyed my domain dare venture here as if you have some right? Who do you think you are to tread in the land you destroyed." The gf spoke, voice as cool as ice yet with a flow to it that reminded Lia of water. She was going to kill them. The thought was in the air, this gf was not like Yute. It had only hostile intentions from what Lia could tell. "If you value your pitiful lives, turn back now. I will not allow you a step further in and cause more harm to this place than those before you." Water was flowing down into the ravine, like a river as Lia pulled her sword free from the ground and stood up. She hadn't seen what had happened to Eamonn, but she figured he'd be alright. What worried her was that they were not ready for this. They'd just gotten out of one fight. How were they supposed to deal with a guardian force of all things?
"Eamonn, Plan?" Lia asked, sheathing her blade. Would he tell them to pull back, walking back to certain death, or push ahead and face certain death head on. Yute was growling next to Lia.

The rain didn't stop and the freezing bitter feeling it brought onto her body as they walked through the canyon didn't help. She however wouldn't quit or give up searching for the place they all were searching for. She needed to stay strong for her teammates and for herself. The walk through the canyon was rough but as they reached to a certain point Eamonn had everyone wait for a bit. He then whistled to them seeing as it was safe to continue on. They all made it to the end of the ravine. Lia seemed to be on edge about something, and as soon as she shouted towards Eamonn Koyuki had looked up to see something she hoped she wouldn't of encountered right at the moment.
A large amount of water erupted and spread out all over the group. That didn't feel great at all as now Koyuki was wet, and cold at that point. However the water itself wasn't cold which was strange for her since the weather was freezing cold up till now. All of a sudden the water had begun to pull everyone and Koyuki had accidentally released her grasp on the rookie. To keep herself from falling into the ravine she stabbed her weapon right into the ground and holding on tight as the water receded back into the ravine. She then quickly got back to her feet and looked back up towards the ravine to find a womanlike creature standing at the edge looking down at all of them. She wasn't happy as she had stated that they were forbidden to pass any further. She also warned them that she would strike them down if they didn't turn back immediately. Looking back at Lia and Eamonn she was unsure of what the verdict would be but if they were going to fight Koyuki was sure that the fight would be extremely difficult.

A wave of water building up almost instantly and crashing over Eamonn and the group, the powerful torrent of warm water very nearly knocking Eamonn off of his feet and carrying him away. Fortunately he had been practically hugging the side of the ravine walls as he ran, and so as soon as the water rose up to wash them away he managed to throw himself at the wall, and find a grip to hold him as the wave subsided. "Is everyone alright?" He called back, looking for the recruits. They seemed to be fine, the young would-be-soldiers climbing to their feet again. 'At this point I am just getting them beat up, I shouldn't have taken them with me.' He thought, turning away and looking toward the ravine exit. It was so close, and they were almost there. Raising his field of vision, he locked his eyes on the obstacle that not stood in their way. 'Now what are we facing?' He thought, staring up at the monster.
'That would be Undine,' A voice he knew to belong to Salamander, his Guardian Force, said. 'A sister of mine, you might say.' She explained. "Your sister? Does that mean you can talk with her, and maybe explain we're kind of in a hurry?" He asked, eyes on the floating Guardian Force. 'Hm... I don't believe she would do as we ask, certainly not if I were the one to ask.' Salamander sighed, almost regrettably. "Why not? You're family aren't you?" 'Maybe so, but we've never really seen eye to eye.' Salamander responded, voice sounding bitter. 'I think of her as a wet fish, and she thinks I am shallow and barbaric.' "Great, so a sibling rivalry." 'It would also do you well to know that she hates humans. After what they have done to the Great Salt Lakes, it is no wonder. She was never fond of them before, but I think she has become even more... bitter towards them over the years, as the lake dried.'
"In short... we're probably looking at a fight." He wasn't eager for another lengthy or flashy battle, especially against a rogue guardian force. What made matters worse was that this guardian force was water-based, which likely meant any magic he or his guardian forces could cast would do jack squat against them. 'I could probably negate some of her magic,' Salamander said, 'But I would not expect much from me in way of damage. I may not like her but I will not raise a hand against her.' Eamonn nodding, not having expected any real aid from her to begin with. They couldn't turn back, but going forward was looking like a pretty abysmal option as well. "Lia, Koyuki, any perspectives you want to throw at me?" He called back, still staring up at the guardian force.

It was good to know that Eamonn was not far behind, but at the same time he seemed as uncertain on how to proceed as she was. They were dealing with a Guardian Force after all. It could be, easily, much stronger than the beast they had just dealt with. That much was evident with the water everywhere. Lia was running through pretty much everything in her mind to try to see if she had anything for Eamonn. Yute was watching Lia intently, but he clearly had no advice to give. He just seemed worried for his charge's life. Lia couldn't blame him, against a water GF, Yute was basically just dead weight. He couldn't hope to fight the GF at all. "I... I could try talking to her?" Lia suggested glancing up at the GF who simply glared at her in response.
Besides the shiver that run up her spine at the thought of actually trying to talk to this GF, Lia was fairly certain talking to her would accomplish... nothing. "We're both of the same elemental...?" It was a suggestion, though vague. It probably would have been weird for anyone whom hadn't seen her casting water spells, but even though Yute was indeed of the fire element, Lia herself was water. While she doubted it would create much common ground between her and the GF, it was maybe worth a shot? That or it would get the GFs sword shoved through her chest even faster. "Actually, would Salamander try talking to her?" This Lia didn't not call out, rather she lowered her voice hoping the soft tone reached Eamonn. The probability of this helping was almost non-existant, but Lia did know of Eamonn's GFs. Salamander was close to what this GF was, but she imagined it was simply wishful thinking. Lia could have no way of knowing that Eamonn had just had this conversation with Salamander either.

They were at a lost it seemed, and the recruits also looked weary from all the events that took place. "What the hell are we going to do? This creature is serious about harming all of us if we don't leave soon, but we can't go back either. Galbadia destroyed Fisherman's Horizon and now on pursuit for the survivors including us. We don't have much time to get out of here. There has to be something we can do to get by her but what exactly? We can't fight her that is for sure. We're too weak to put up a decent fight, and the recruits will end up dying and likely us as well." She quickly got back to her feet, and stood back away from the GF keeping a hold of her double bladed sword. Uncertainty was all she was feeling at this point. The odds seemed against them at every corner, and nothing was aiding there efforts to survive. The world seemed to be against them, and hope seemed to be drifting away slowly. Then she looked down at the ground due to seeing something pink laying there. It was her pink rose hairpin. She slowly drifted from reality as she picked it up. A memory seemed to be entering her mind.
Several hours before the attack on Fisherman's Horizon. "So you're going to leave then?" "Yes. I'll be leaving soon with Eamonn and Lia." "It's a large possibility that you won't be able to hold of the attack, and if you don't you may die." "I know that. However we need to help protect the people if we are too be able to stand a better chance against Galbadia. You can see the destruction they can cause to our home. We need their help, and if there is a slight possibility that we can gain more appeal and help to our resistance then its worth doing....even if I die in the process." "Is there no changing your mind?" "No. My mind is made up, and I plan on sticking to it." "Please come back alive. You can't replace good friends, and I certainly don't want to loose you Koyuki." "Hehehe... Here." "What's this? A gift, and a promise. It may not be a male accessory but I thought I would make one for you. "A promise to what?" "A promise of that I'll always be thinking of you when I am not by your side. We may be friends, but you and I know better than that. We've become too close to be just friends." "Heh... I guess your right." "Yea. So keep it safe, and I'll do my best to come back to you alive." "I promise that I will never loose it, and I'd better see you back alive." "Right. Goodbye.... Riyel"
----------------------------------------------
The memory played so smoothly as if she had watched it through a projector, and at first she was happy to see him again, but reality seemed to take to take his image away. She shook out of her trance, and looked back up at Eamonn, and Lia. Whatever they were planning Koyuki would follow. If they were clueless then she would be helpful in anyway possible. She came too far to die now, and she would bring back the help of Esthar and return to Riyel. That was her goal and she intended to achieve it one way or another.

Sibling rivalry, they'd kill each other." Eamonn sighed, glancing back up at the GF. How long did they have before it grew tired of waiting on them? Would it simply kill them and be done with it, or would it wait for them to make their move? How could they proceed with this... 'I am still too weak.' Eamonn thought, clenching his fists. 'After all of this, I still come up short of nothing.' Two years and he still hadn't killed Maris. He had been throttled by Gargantua, nearly killed, and now he faced an enemy he would do little against. If he couldn't face something like this, what luck did he have against Maris? 'Eamonn...' Eamonn stiffen visibly as a second voice spoke within his head, his forehead creasing and eyes becoming unfocused as he was suddenly drawn into a separate conversation, from an entity different from Salamander. 'Let me fight her... I have had time to regain my energy. Summon me, and I will fight her. Salamander's flames may not harm her, but mine will.' A cold sweat broke out over Eamonn's body, and his breathing suddenly became labored as an unknown pressured weighed down upon him. This was different from before. Before he had been caught up in the heat of the moment, and summoned Aed out of desperation to end the fight as quickly as possible. But now that he had a moment to think summoning Aed seemed about the worst possible idea to him. Aed was sensing this hesitation, and now seemed to be exerting himself over Eamonn. The question was, what would Aed do? "No." Eamonn muttered, expression tightening as he felt discontent from Aed. He raised a hand to wipe at his face, the inside of his skull suddenly feeling warm, his face feverish even to him. 'Summon me.' Aed urged. "No." 'Let me clear your path...' "I said no!" 'I only want what is best for us." "I SAID ENOUGH!" Eamonn barked, pushing Aed's presence from out of his conscience, "I let you out once already, and that was enough. I don't need you! Not now, and not for this!" Eamonn spoke in harsh, angry tones, as he hadn't done in many months. 'Not yet, you don't.' Aed said, fading away but remaining still in the back of Eamonn's mind. If it came down to it Eamonn might be forced to summon Aed, but that was something he wanted to avoid if possible. Summoned Aed had its effects on Eamonn, and each time he relied on Aed he could feel the GF's influence growing. "Lia, see if you can't communicate with her... you have a way with GF." Eamonn said stiffly, feeling the pressure slowly lift off of him, but not completely disappear. He was nervous, anxious even. Just how under his control was Aed really, and what would he do the next time Eamonn resisted him?

Lia frowned as Eamonn turned down the idea of Salamander being able to speak with Undine. This was not exactly what Lia would call a good situation and one she was comfortable with. She had her attention on Eamonn when his expression changed. Her own expression got alarmed rather quickly as she glanced at Undine before creeping towards Eamonn. She had managed to get a few steps to him when he first started speaking aloud. She was only a few yards from him when he suddenly shouted, Lia flinching and pulling back. Undine seemed confused by this exchange, momentarily lowering her murderous intention as she tried to figure out what had just happened below her in the ravine. Lia pulled back a bit, listening to what Eamonn was saying. She knew who he was talking to, but the tone of his voice reminded her of a time when his voice had been directed at her in such a manner. Lia had already recovered from his yelling by the time he had asked her to go try to speak with Undine. Lia looked up at the GF again before looking back at Eamonn. She was silent for a moment before taking a deep breath.
"Here, Yute. I want you to stay here. Watch my sword for me, okay?" Lia said, kneeling down and gently placing her sword, Liquidium, on the ground next to the fire fox. Yute tilted his head at her, but seemed to understand what she was doing. Approaching Undine armed would send a whole different impression than going unarmed to her. It was the height of recklessness, but Eamonn trusted her. He had said himself that she had a way with GFs. This was true, there was not a GF that she had encountered she hadn't at least gotten along with. Even her brief encounters with Aed, which lasted no more than seconds, never were unfavorable. Her curiosity for Aed was astounding after all. "I'll be fine, don't worry." She whispered to Yute, though if she was saying this more for him or herself was hard to determine. Unarmed, and a bit nervous, the young woman put her back to the group and slowly walked towards Undine, holding her hands up in a gesture that hopefully kept Undine from attacking her.
Undine lashed out after Lia had made it within 30 yards of Undine, water cutting across Lia and sending her back a few steps as she winced. The attack was not meant to harm her though, at least not badly. Lia slowly stood back up and watched Undine for several long seconds before slowly starting to walk forward again. Undine raised her hand as if to strike Lia back, only to hesitate as Lia's voice called out. "Please. I want to speak with you, and it's no way to show you the respect you deserve from so far out. I'm unarmed and my magic wouldn't hurt you anyways. So please, let me speak to you." Lia's voice was soft, but held a serious tone that was often absent from her in regards to most people. Undine scowled, but lowered her arm and let Lia come within 10 yards before calling for her to stop. "Stop there, Human. Come no closer." Undine's tone did not give room for any argument and Lia came immediately to a stop, bowing her head to Undine.
"I know you hate us... but we did not wish you any harm. In fact, I would have loved to see your beautiful lake. I'm... originally from Esthar, but I don't remember anything from my time here. I was a little girl when my family was killed and I was forced on the run." Lia spoke softly, Undine watching Lia with a look that rather appeared like disgust. "And what makes you think I care, human? It only makes matter's worse that you are from Esthar. I should strike you down now, and be done with it. What reason should I stay my blade?" Undine's voice carried into the ravine, so it would have been easy for Eamonn and the others to hear her. Lia's voice, on the other hand, was soft enough even Eamonn would have had trouble picking it up. "I don't have a reason you shouldn't kill me." Silence followed this as Lia raised her gaze and met Undine's. This tense moment lasted for nearly a minute, time ticking away as Undine watched Lia.
"What is your name, human." "Eliana. I have no last name, nor a family to call my own."
"Why did you drop your weapon and approach me unarmed, knowing I might kill you. Do you not fear death?"
"I am absolutely terrified of dying. Walking up to you knowing that you could kill me every step I took closer was terrifying. As I am, I wouldn't last more than a few seconds against you. I know that no GF wants to be approached with a weapon drawn, and they all want to be respected for what they are. Truly, I believe this. I would have us turning back by your command if we had a choice. I don't think that choice is available anymore, behind us is only a wasteland. If we face you, we'll die. If we run from you, we'll die. That's why I implore you...." Lia slowly dropped down to her knees, bowing her head to Undine. It would take no more than a simple motion from Undine to run Lia through and it be the end to her story. That unwavering trust she seemed to have in GFs was present even here as she closed her eyes. "Please. Grant us passage. I don't care if you follow us all the way to Esthar. You can cut me and the rest of us down if we cause harm to your territory. Just please, let us through."
The moment of truth had come. Undine lowered her weapon and slowly made her way to the kneeling Lia. From this distance, it would be impossible for any of the others to see it, but Lia was shaking faintly. She could feel Undine's shadow fall over her as the GF stood over her. She waited, prepared for the feeling of something piercing through her back. There was a shifting sound, but no pain, so Lia slowly raised her eyes. Undine was kneeling right in front of her, the GF's expression still severe as she stared into Lia's eyes. "... Very well. I do not know what it is about you that I find odd. You remind me of how I used to be, I think." Undine slowly stood up and cast a rather cool look in Eamonn's direction. No matter how much she found Lia to be acceptable, nothing about that man was acceptable to her. Has Undine realized Eamonn had Salamander, she might have found her reason to not like him.
Undine slowly moved to the side and let her sword drop to the ground into a puddle before crossing her arms. She looked down the Ravine as Lia got up. Lia managed to get to her feet, with a faint shake of nerves. It was not often she talked down a GF that had planned to kill them. She let out a breath and smile as she turned to look at Eamonn. She felt like she'd really done something there, and she was looking to see if he approved of what she'd accomplished. And then a shadow cast itself over her. She had enough time to hear Undine shout for her to move before she felt the impact.
"ah...." It was a faint breath that escaped her as she stumbled forward, glancing down at her body. Three massive gashes had cut through her side so deep that anyone looking would know immediately that she was severely hurt. She stumbled a step and fell, crumbling to a heap on the ground. Yute had already started moving, completely abandoning Lia's sword as he rushed forward. Standing behind Lia, claws dripping with her blood, was a large undead creature. Fire caught across the front of it, causing it to howl and pull back from Lia as Yute ran to his summoner, Undine snapping her blade into her hand out of water as she rushed to put herself between Lia and the creature.
"Eamo...."

Was it his GF? She didn't know but perhaps his GF was very well different from her own. Ixion never fought for dominance. He was just proud, and as long as you treated him like a proud creature he was obedient and helpful when you asked for it. Unsure though he eventually calmed down and what seemed like going back to normal. While now suggesting to Lia that she should try connecting with the GF. As cautious as she was she was struck by the GF and sent back. Koyuki had gripped her weapon tightly ready to fight but it seemed Lia was not ready to do such considering she had Yute hold onto her weapon and stand back. She again walked up to the GF and appealed to her. At first the GF seemed unwilling to abide to Lia's wishes but eventually she stood aside. However not so long after that happened Lia was struck by a creature and dropped to the ground bleeding heavily. The creature too stood over her ready to strike again, and as Lia tried moving she passed out right there due to the pain.
Koyuki had no choice, she had to make a move before the monster harmed Lia anymore, and with Yute and the Female GF guarding her from the beast it looked like Koyuki could reach her quick enough to get her out of there. Not waisting anymore time Koyuki sheathed her weapon and sprinted over to Lia and began to ready herself to pick Lia up and get her out of the way. As Koyuki stood over Lia she got a better look at Lia's wound. Her body was missing a large chunk of flesh, and now had a gaping wound that would kill her quickly if not treated for medical attention. Koyuki had no cures left to use but hopefully Eamonn, or any of the recruits did. She then carefully lifted Lia up into her arms doing her best to avoid touching the wound around Lia, and began to run back away from the monster as the GFs defended them from harm. After getting behind Eamonn Koyuki began to reach into her pack after setting Lia down and began to wrap bandages around Lia after removing some clothing in order to prevent anymore blood loss but with the wound like that even bandages wouldn't save her. Someone needed to have a cure on them otherwise it would be too late for her. She turned to Eamonn immediately and spoke. "Eamonn! She's hurt badly and if she doesn't receive any type of medical attention she will die. We need a cure, or some type of healing ability to keep her from dying."

It had been his suggestion, but he hadn't expected her to leave her sword behind or Yute, who he had been counting on to protect her if Undine decided to lash out. Now he wasn't so sure this was such a great idea. 'Eamonn...' Aed began, sensing Eamonn's unease. "Be quiet." He growled, hand on the hilt of his sword, and knuckles bone white from his grip. 'Don't do anything rash, just don't do anything rash...' He thought, although even he didn't know whether or not he meant himself, Eliana, or Undine. He tried to listen to the conversation, but he only got whispers of Eliana's words, although Undine's seemed to reverberate throughout the ravine for all to hear. 'Hope Galbadia can't hear that.' He thought, swallowing as he continued to listen on.
Eamonn could almost feel years off his life escaping as he sighed heavily with relief. He didn't know how Eliana had done it, but she'd somehow manage to talk the rogue Guardian Force into letting them pass. 'You could take lessons from that girl, you know.' Salamander said coyly. "No, I don't think I could. GF don't like me." He said, turning back to wave the recruits forward. 'You should have summoned me.' Aed suddenly said, a faint laugh coming from the GF. "What do--" The earth sudden shook at his feet, the sound of stone cracking at the impact of something heavy landing, and the shouts of concern and surprise. Despite it all, he turned slowly, dread filling his mind.
Eamonn's eyes widened and what composure over the controlled expression he had held was lost as a look of horror took over. For just a moment, he was back in the prison. Watching as Avienda fell limply to the ground, and the red-haired demon that had killed her turned around grinning playfully at him as if it had been some great game she was winning. It took only an instant for the expression to shift, horror transforming into rage. For the icy-cold numbness that had coursed through his veins to be thawed by liquid fire, as rage and adrenaline took over his sense. Very suddenly, before even he had time to process what he was doing, he was standing beneath the undead creature, both of his hands outstretched and placed against the bony chest of the creatures body.
"Burn."
The undead creature was completely engulfed in crimson-black flames, its howls only barely audible from the sound of flames roaring, the torrent of heat causing Eamonn's hair and jacket to whip around him. The force of the explosion itself was enough to blast even the monster away, its skeletal form burning as it fell from the air and back into the canyon that it had leapt up from. Even as he watched it disappear, it wasn't enough. Feelings long since repressed came crashing down upon him. Rage, anger, regret, guilt, sadness, all of it began to churn inside him like a brewing storm. He had taken a step forward, fully prepared to jump down after the undead monster and let Aed had his way with it, when Koyuki's voice cut through the madness of emotions. Eliana's name being the thing that snapped him back to attention. "Eliana?"
He turned, and just like that the numbness had returned. 'You too.' He thought, moving forward without saying a word. "Koyuki, get the recruits, find Kyes and Arel, and get them ready to move out. We have to find Esthar..." He said, putting his hands over Eliana's side and casting cure on her. However strong his magic a simple cure spell would not heal her. This wound was too deep, it had cut into too much, and she had bled out more than what simple magic could replace. "...if we can find Esthar we can get them to look at her... it is our only shot now..." Her bleeding had stopped at least. "Yute, Undine, is there anything either of you can do for her? Anything, please." He said, turning to the two

'It hurts....'
Undine was forced back as Eamonn suddenly rushed pasted her, slamming his hand into the creature. For a moment, the GF was surprised at how fast he had gotten there, but then her surprise turned to shock as she saw the dark flames engulf the creature. Her alarm was so great, she forgot where she was for a moment, watching as the creature fell back to the depths. If it wasn't dead, it certainly would be soon enough with burns that severe. In all her time as an embodiment of water, she had never heard of or seen flames act in such a manner. Seeing Eamonn regain his focus and suddenly turn his attention on Eliana, the gf of the Salt Lake moved out of the way. This woman had said they had not the energy to fight her, but Undine could see that man was dangerous. Regardless of what the woman had said, This man could have hurt her severely.
' It's dark...'
Yute was beside Lia as Koyuki got her to safety, and was still there when Eamonn came over. Though the man was as serious as ever, Yute could see the change. He was worried for Eliana's life. He was desperate to keep her alive. Yute watched Eamonn for a moment as he pleaded for either of them, Yute or Undine, to do something. Yute was not a being made for healing, and Eamonn had already stopped her bleeding. The wounds were still far beyond anything Yute could deal with. The fire fox nudged her hand gently before looking back at Eamonn. "So long as I exist, she lives. That is the most I can give you, Eamonn." The voice was warm and calm, and seemed to carry a strange heat to it. Yute had not spoken to Lia in a long time, and Eamonn had certainly never heard Yute's voice. Generally, when a summoner went unconscious, a GF faded, but Yute seemed to be suggesting that so long as Lia was still alive, he would remain summoned. There wasn't time to figure out how Yute was doing this though, as Eamonn did not have time for questions.
'And cold....
"I will lead you to where the entrance to Esthar is, the only entrance I know of. Stay close, and follow me. She doesn't have long." Undine spoke swiftly, glancing up as Kyes came around the bend. For a moment, Kyes seemed shocked, before looking at Lia and the blood around her. He registered that the GF was not attacking them and he immediately hurried over. "What the hell happened?!" He stated, moving closer but keeping his distance from Eamonn and Undine. He wasn't exactly sure it was safe to get near Eamonn with Lia in her condition. Arel was still no where in sight, but it could probably be assumed with the explosion Eamonn had caused that he was heading towards the group. Anyone in quite a distance would have heard that.
'I... don't want to die.'
"Lets go." Undine pressed, turning and taking several steps before waiting for Eamonn. Assuming he lifted Lia and started hurrying after her, Undine would continue. They didn't have far if her memory served her right, but the young woman's condition was bad. Undine did not care if Eamonn waited for those following him or not, but she knew they were pressed for time.

At least they wouldn't have to worry about it coming after them while Eliana was hurt, but even so they could be attacked by another undead creature and that worried Koyuki greatly. She watched as Eamonn turned back and snapped out of his anger and healed Eliana, but even with the cure it still wasn't enough to keep her large injury from healing fully. They needed to find some kind of help quickly. It was then that Eamonn began to ask both GF's for help. Yute couldn't do much but let them know that she was still alive. Eamonn also had given her the order to get the recruits and find both Arel, and Kyes but she was much to worried about Eliana to quickly get moving, but eventually snapping out of it she nodded and got up leaving Eliana with Eamonn ready to go get the recruits. As she was about to leave Kyes came out and had likely heard the commotions that had happened. He asked what had happened but it seemed his answer had to wait because the GF was ready to take them to Esthar and was already on the move. Kyes take Evans and quickly follow that GF he's far too injured to move by himself and keep up. Jorde, and Riece do your best to keep up with them. I'll standby and wait for Arel to get here otherwise he'll be alone."
This felt like a flashback to her when she was an instructor for Trabia Garden. She had been so use to leading others and it this felt like a breeze of what she use to do. She liked that feeling of being the lead of the group. She missed it to say the least. It had good memories, and the hope of being able to lead another group of people just to teach them how to protect the people gave her reason enough to fight. Apparently her dream hadn't died off all the way. She still believed that SeeD even if destroyed by Galbadia would be the saviors of the world. They were the hopes of the people, even if under the new name of unbroken they were still once SeeD, and the fond memories that were in each Garden for the individual would never truly disappear. This was her hope, that one day she would be able to do that again. Lead her fellow SeeD, and protect the people of her country, or even more so the world. That was her ideal life that she wished to have back after this war. That is why she would fight to the end, because that dream was worth dying for.

Eamonn said, suddenly looking weary. He knew that he did not need to ask Yute to keep his summoner alive. That was all that Yute had been doing, long before Eamonn had come into Eliana's life and longer since the two began traveling together after the D-District Prison incident. Even so Eamonn felt the need to say something, anything. If the man had questions about the irregularities about Yute none of them seemed to reflect in his tired expression.
Gathering Eliana up into his arms, Eamonn pulled the young woman close to his body, making sure that he had a good hold of her, and stood straight. The "princess carry" might be the appropriate term for the method of which he was carrying her but he didn't look abashed or awkward holding her that way. It was the most comfortable hold, he could continue to survey her condition and he did not have to roughly manhandle her or risk causing further damage to her wound by any of the coarser ways. As well, she felt cold. By keeping holding her like this he could ensure to pass on some of his own body heat to her. "Thank you, Undine... this is more than what we could ask from you." The change in Undine's behavior towards the group was welcoming to Eamonn as she offered to not only let them pass but to guide them directly to Esthar. Perhaps it was her concern for Eliana, whom had bravely faced her, or maybe she simply wanted to get them out of her territory as soon as possible. whichever the case the rogue Guardian Force did not seem to be hostile anymore and the threat of their life was no longer present. Regardless he was grateful.
When Kyes arrived Koyuki took over directing the recruits and even set Kyes to work. Eamonn stood still only for a moment, listening to the orders she gave before giving a brief nod of approval and turning to follow Undine. Koyuki could handle things for now and now it seemed that they would be led to Esthar. His only concern was getting Eliana to safety and her condition stabilized and improved. 'I could do something for her...' Like a serpent, Aed's voice creeped into Eamonn's head. For a moment rage built up, like a flame being stoked to a roaring fire. It immediately calmed, however, Eamonn keeping himself in check. Although he was tempted to respond, he decided that the best way to deal with Aed was to retort the Guardian Force with silence. 'It was a mistake accepting this...' Eamonn thought, thinking back to the day that the man in black approached him with an offer and Aed was given to him.
"I wish for Avienda's death avenged just as well as you do. Which is why I have come to you with an offer. Take this... gift from me and seek her vengeance for the both of us. Just know... there will be a cost, from the both of us. You will know when the time comes."
A year later and he still hadn't learned just what price he had to pay for accepting Aed. All that he had been concerned with was obtaining power to murder Ashe Harton. Now, however, with Eliana in his arms... His concern was something else entirely. 'I won't lose anyone again.' He thought, determinedly. 'Never again.'
In the back of his mind, Aed chuckled.
