"Because someone already beat me when it came to stabbing you." He said, sitting back down. "You're a idiot. I'm trying to wrap your chest. I'm bound to get close. I can't do that across the room." He waited, not finishing his job yet with the bandages. "You also flatter yourself. I wouldn't be into someone like you, and I have one of the hottest women on the island as my girlfriend. Being this close to people don't make me giddy either. I do it because it's part of our responsibilities as a member of Life, to keep morons like you alive and well so you can fight another day."
He then reached out for the bandages again. "NOW, let me do my job and finish bandaging you. " He did not wait for Al to give him permission and continued.

"Now when you say hot girlfriend you really mean a big assed dude, right?" Yeah, Al was cruising for a-bruising but at least he learned quite a bit about Melvin in such a short stint of trying to recoup his masculinity.
He was wrapped up a bit more roughly now. But that was probably what he preferred, hard to take being strangled with your own bandages as anything other than a well-earned death threat.

Melvin looked up, reached over, and pressed his hand, spread wide to insure he made it very uncomfortable, right on the spot where he knew the stab would was.
"Just keep saying dumb s**t like that. I can shoot some more holes in you." Did he look like someone's b***h?

"Like what? I'm just telling it like it i-OW HEY MAN!" Al immediately squirmed back from the touch and attempted to slap Melvin's hand away. "Soreee if I insulted your boyfriend, god."

"Girlfriend. If you call her a boy, she will kick your a**. It would actually be very fun to see." He tested that the bandages were tight but not loose, then put a bandage clip to hold it in place. With that, he got up and took off his gloves, tossing them into the metal dish.
"There, you big baby. All done. I'll leave you some bandages to do it yourself, or you can have your boyfriend do it for you instead." Well, if he was going to tease him, then he'd tease him back.
He moved the cart over to them properly dispose of everything in the tin. "Also, if you insult some of the other Lifers, they won't help you when you really need it. You get stuck in here for a week, it might be good to gave a few Lifers you can actually get along with."

"What side? Hunters are always on the same side in the big scheme, but aside from that, I'm just cutting you a break. You seem new, or I haven't seen you around. Either way, just don't push it or else I'll tell all the attendants that you only like burly men changing your bandages next time you get hurt." He smiled at that, in no way joking.

"You wouldn't dare." Al looked absolutely mortified at the prospect, his anxiety immediately through the roof. He was not going to be bandaged by a big burly dude. They would have to peel him off the ceiling.

Melvin smiled. "See. Things could be worse." He put the supplies away, and then went over and handed Al 2 rolls of bandages, a little spool of bandage tape, and 3 bandage pads. "You probably only need to do that one more time. Since you are jumpy, you can pick a friend to help you. If not, then you can come back here and someone will help you again. By then, you should be all patched up." The reason why Al didn't heal up lickety-split was due to rank and possibly Caelius weapon.
"Overall, you don't feel sick or light headed? No reports of nearly blacking out?" These were all followup questions.

"Uh.. no, none of that." He eyed the medical supplies warily. He couldn't ask Rep to help. He'd have to admit to him he'd gone and ******** up and got hurt as a result. He so was not ready for that. That ruled out both Jordan and Harrison too. It'd come back to him eventually...
OH! He smiled at Melvin. Yeah. He was not risking that threat of his, he knew just the one to ask.
"Thanks," at least he was sorta being polite in the end?

"Oh, and don't piss off Caelius. He's a maniac, and we lost our entire council before and no one knows yet who really did it. People have been murdered here before, and Caelius doesn't really care if one of us gets left before or offered. Just keep that in mind. He probably will go for your neck next time."
He picked up the clipboard and opened the door, opening it and pausing. "Anything else you need to know?"
