Kensei looked at the man as if he was an idiot and rolled his eyes when asked what he was doing. He didn't know how else he was going to answer when he was gagged. Luckily the man removed the gag so Kensei could answer. "Oh you know. Just hanging around, trying to see what it'll be like to be a bat for a few minutes. Please disregard the ropes that's tied around me. Not like I did it myself." Kensei said in a sarcastic tone.

"I see..." Segare replied, staring at the child. Evidently the boy didn't know who he was, or just didn't care much for showing respect to anyone. Not really the best way to be freed from bindings in his opinion. "Well, when you're done with that, give me a call. I'll be right over there." he added, cocking his head towards a nearby bench. He didn't know who had brought a bench here or why, but he wasn't about to let it go to waste. Plus, he was curious about this kid too now. He didn't think he was one of the pair Shen had found. He was mouthy, sure, but Shen had described the mouthy one as insane and the other as quiet. It did seem he was going to need to have a talk with his recruiters about kidnapping children though.
Turning his back to the suspended child, Segare moved over to the bench and flopped onto it, popping the kid a smile and jaunty wave as he pulled a book from somewhere inside his shirt and flipped it open. He didn't actually start to read, shame really, since he'd been rather enjoying this book. No, he continued to observe the boy over the edge of the book, waiting to see when he would crack. And really, it was obvious who could wait longer. The kid was hanging upside down, probably developing a throbbing headache, while Segare, well, if it got particularly boring he could always read his book for real.
๑๑๑๑Before he could leave the situation, Miya rushed up towards Luo as he hit his fourth stride. In reality, he had grown tired of standing around, a bit anxious to do something other than delegate. He wasn't used to spending his days simply chatting with people, and just as well was not sure he liked the prospect of having to do it often. As Miya spoke to him, Luo realized he'd completely forgotten to give the boy anything to do at all. He contemplated placing Miya on his own team with a clone of himself to observe, however he found it useless to hunt for more than what was necessary. It was then that he saw it however, one of the chuunin dragging a boy through the tent clearing.
From the looks of it, whoever the kid seemed to be had not been cooperative. At first, Luo postulated whether or not he should get involved, after all it wasn't everyday someone was dragged through tied and gagged. Still, he found as the chuunin passed not twenty yards away from him it was best not to ask, figuring if he was needed the shinobi would've come over and presented himself as well as the situation. Deciding to let someone else take care of it, Luo pulled his attention away from the scene, looking down towards Miya. "Ah right, my apologies. Why don't you team up with Rin and Timmy then. With a team of that size we could probably hunt down a buck and cure some of the meat that's leftover."
"You're just going to leave me here? To read a book?!" As expected from a daimyo dog." Kensei began to look around as a means to escape or to at least stop hanging. His weapons were taken from him on the way here, otherwise he could have cut the ropes and escape. All he could do now is begin to swing back and forth. Just keep swinging and reach out for the pole when you get to it Whenever he felt like he was close to the pole her stretch out for it, making a loud grunt followed by a sound of frustration shortly after.
After a couple of minutes of trying he finally gave up. He looked at the man who spoke to him earlier, which was kind of hard because Kensei was slowly turning while trying to focus his sight. It usually resulted in him having to twist his body back or just wait until he made a full turn. "Hey....daimyo dog. How about you unti...hhhrrg..untie me. I'll make it....worth your while."

Segare looked up a bit further at the boy's shouting, both eyebrows raised. Daimyo dog? Okay, he definitely didn't know where he was then. The man decided to let it pass in silence though as the boy began to attempt to swing himself over to a support pole. It was a good start, he supposed, but really, how did he plan to grab the pole with his hands tied? His teeth? Shaking his head, Segare lowered his eyes to the book once more, deciding to wait until the kid gave up and asked for help.
Sure enough, after a couple of minutes, which actually surprised Segare as to the kid's determination, the request came, accompanied by the same rather out of place insult. "That's hurtful, really." Segare deadpanned, giving the boy a flat stare as he lowered his book. "Why should I help you, when all you've done thus far is insult me? I don't know who you are, or why you're blocking the door to my tent, so I think I deserve a little information before I decide to help you out." With that, Segare tucked his book away and leaned back, crossing his arms over his chest and fixing his gaze upon the dangling lad. Normally he'd probably have at least cut the kid's hands loose by now, but the kid had a bit of an attitude, and he wanted to settle that down a bit before he got him down.
With only a few minutes to prepare, Cryshal looks at Shinji and says, "I think they're doing this for two reasons, one reason is to test our abilities and knowledge. The other reason is obvious, food. Now deer will run quickly when startled as you may already know. So we will have to go about this using stealth." She looks towards the forest and sees nothing but trees, no fauna around from the looks of it. "We might have to travel quite far from the village, so make sure you bring water with you, we don't need you getting dehydrated." She then reaches in her pouch to feel how many shuriken she has, and also checking her other pouch for the same reason except this time not for shuriken. "I'm all set, what about you Shinji? Are you ready to go on our first mission?" Though this wasn't exactly a "mission" she thought that it would be appropriate for the venture to get food.

Timmy's face blanked as the girl completely ignored his existance. Did she not hear me? He frowned and swatted the air, as if to fend of the stupid idea. Noone hears me. As the girl walked off, Timmy turned to the other people and scratched his head. "Did she just... Or was I not being..." Unable to form a proper sentence he turned back towards the girl. "I must be a ghost". The realization shook his very being. He had just been in a conversation, so he wasnt dead untill seconds ago. He knew better than to look for his own body and shove himself back in. Thats how you get hunted by death waffles. He shivered at the thought before moing after the girl. "Fine then, what can ghosts do. Ooh! I can maybe posess her? Is that weird? Did I say that out loud? Doesn't matter I'm dead!" At that he sprinted straight towards the girl and launched himself towards her back. He couldnt quite fly yet, but he would in time.
His face landed squarely in her back. Another stunning realization hit Timmy seconds after contact with the girl. He wasnt a ghost. While the details were still blurry, it was made quite clear that he was in fact tangible. He also knew that she too was not a ghost. The reason behind this mindblowing realization was simple. He colldied with her rather than fuse. They both found themselves tumbling to the ground, though as Timmy had launched himself into the air there was little he could do to stop himself.

Kensei looked at the ropes and saw that he wasn't going anywhere anytime soon. The only guy that was willing to help him was being treated rudely. Kensei pretty much ran out of options but to be nice to the man and answer his questions. "Look my name is Kensei, as to why I'm here I was actually kidnapped by a couple of jerks. As to why they were kidnapping me I'm not sure, something about a bloodline." Kensei looked at the man for a few seconds before continuing. "I blacked out and when I woke up I was being carried here. I heard about some kids my age going missing, maybe for slave trade purposes I don't know. But this sounds like something the daimyo would be into." He began to scan the area a little and saw kids around his age. "So this isn't like a checkpoint or a training camp?" Kensei was getting a little curious and was hoping for an answer or something.

Segare frowned as the boy told his story. Apparently his recruiters had forgotten that recruits generally volunteered. Just grabbing some kid and hauling him back made them no better than the daimyo's army, who the kid apparently thought they were. And then something the boy said clicked, and Segare started to worry for the first time that things were about to go downhill. "Kensei..." the man slowly spoke, standing up and approaching the boy once more, drawing his sword and slitting the ropes around his wrists. "What clan are you from?" Most well known bloodlines belonged to the larger, more powerful, and most certainly dangerous clans. And seeing as there was no known way to detect a bloodline, except in the obvious case of seeing it in action, which was rare in a child of this age, the only way they could have picked him for a bloodline was if they knew he was from a clan.
A war with a clan over a kidnapping was not something Segare wanted to get into. Not this early in the village's formation. As far as he knew none of the council had approved kidnapping as a recruitment method, heck, he'd spent a fair amount of time this morning arguing against it, among other things. That meant they had at least two recruiters who had decided to take things into their own hands. Thought it was okay to make their own rules and do it their way. They would need to have that misconception corrected. But for that he'd need to know who had done the kidnapping as well... There were a few different two man teams out there. Not many, but enough to complicate that a bit. "And did you get the names of the men who took you?"

"My clan? I'm an Uchiha. Pretty cool huh?" Kensei said as he started rubbing his wrists. "Yeah I'm pretty sure my clan is looking for me right now. And this place looks pretty flammable." He once again tried to reach the ropes tied around his feet while he was upside down. "I don't really remember. I think one of them was Tenjho or something like that. He's in trouble huh?" He began to try and untie the knot. "That's a nice sword by the way. Would by nice if you could cut the ropes here you know." He looked at the man and gave a halfhearted smile. Kensei felt as if he had the man in his pocket. once he cuts me free I'll just make a run for it. I'm pretty sure this pretty boy is a slow runner. his thought process could be easily read across his face. And right now he's staring at the man as if he was a class 5 sucker.

Uchiha. Wondrous. The most overblown collection of egos in the entire world, and one of the few who had been utterly foolish enough to boast about their bloodline to the point that quite a number of people knew exactly what it was capable of, and more importantly, how to block it. And then the kid had the gall to start making threats. Segare waited, considering how to deal with this and only half listening to the child, until the boy stopped struggling with the rope and started smirking at him. Right. That settled exactly how he was going to deal with it.
"This is a very nice sword." Segare agreed, holding the sword up and running his palm fondly along the blade. "Forged by the imperial master smith from the finest steel, and honed to an edge that can cut a falling hair. I could cut a man's arm off in a single swipe and he wouldn't even feel it." the man smiled fondly, looking at his sword's blade, before promptly twisting his wrist to place the blade directly on the boy's throat. "Do not, threaten my home." the man hissed, his face changing in an instant to a fierce glare as his eyes fixed on the boy's own. "I am familiar with the Uchiha. They are a strong clan. They stick to their own. Necessary for their constant inbreeding."
Twisting away, Segare's arm flashed upwards, severing the ropes holding the boy's ankles, dropping him to the ground head first. Taking two steep, the man twisted around again, looking down on the now fallen child. "You'll find that name holds little sway here, so you can forget any attempts to intimidate us with it. You will be returned to your family in a few days, for now, we're going to have to find a place to keep you." Giving the kid one more glare for his trouble, Segare turned and pointed his sword down the path towards the rest of the tents. Luo obviously wasn't in the council tent, so he must still be in the camping area. He'd be better suited to dealing with a clan brat than Segare was. He had experience with it. "This way. Walk." he ordered, before dropping his sword back to his side and waiting for the boy to move.

Kensei began sweating once he felt the blade against his throat. Since he was still tied up around his legs he could still be killed. "Look I was just joking about my clan burning this village." Kensei tried to persuade the man from deciding to push his blade forward. After hearing his comment about cutting someone limb off before they would know it sounded like something Kensei wouldn't want to be a part of. Once he saw the man swing his sword upward, Kensei couldn't help but flinch at the motion. Maybe Kensei should apologize about threatening to burn the mans home down. He actually gave the Uchiha a bad name I'm that instant. With his eyes closed all he felt was his head hitting the ground. Well you're dead no Kensei. You had your head cut off while hanging upside down like some sort of pig. But why is it so hard to breathe? Kensei opened his eyes and saw the man towering over him. The first thing he did was reach for his neck and then body. "I-I'm alive?!" Kensei questioned quietly. He let out a sigh of relief before slowing getting up to look at the glaring man. He looked to see where he was pointing and followed his order to walk. He had no idea where he was going or where he was going to stay, but he was alive for now. Surely nothing could get worse.

As the boy started walking, obviously a bit scared now, Segare sighed. He was getting way too serious, it didn't feel right, and it didn't feel like himself. Yeah, the kid was a little p***k, but that didn't really justify his own actions. "Look, Kid." Segare sighed, deciding to take a step towards righting what he now realized was a wrong against his own character. "I'm sorry about threatening you. I've had a bit of a day, and you pushed the wrong buttons. Doesn't make what either of us said okay." he sighed out, before going silent entirely, walking towards the area he last saw Luo.
Luckily, as he arrived the man was still there, though surrounded by a bunch of kids, Rin included. Feeling rather relieved, Segare slipped his sword back into it's sheath and approached the man with a wave, stepping past Kensei, but keeping to where he could see him. "Luo, I need to talk to you for a bit. Couple things have come up that need our attention." he said quickly, cutting his eyes first towards Kensei, then the rest of the kids. The first to imply he was one of the things that came up, the second to imply he wanted a bit of privacy for their chat. No need for the things he had to tell Luo to be common gossip the next day.
With only a matter of monuments the clearing was full of life. Plenty of people had decided to show up not to long after Shinji and cryshal did and with so much going on around him he forgot all about the mission the luo had set him on. "hmm o yeah right" Shinji would reply to cryshal after coming out of the daze he was in. His attitude went from calm cool and colective to slightly on edge, being around so many unfamiliar people put him a bit on edge due to him never really being exposed to outsiders in his homeland. Irritated but he kept his cool turned to his tent after grabbing the bucket that Cryshal had brought for him. before we leave you should come with me to the well I wanna bring a bucket full of water, also did you see any bottles in the storage house? if so we need to go by there before the mission starts as well, Im gonna need at least 2 more full bottles before we depart. " Shinji would say before placing his right hand on his belt feeling for the other 3 full bottles that he had on his person. He would come out with a grin on his face and whisper in cryshals ear I already have a plan for how we are going to get ahead in this mission" tho he was new here Shinji already grasped the concept of proper planning and was going to show the counsel members exactly that.
That grin that was on his face quickly faded as he was told t mingle with the new arrivals. he was already beginning to take a liking to cryshal because he knew her intentions where well but as for these new arrivals he would have to put them threw his screening process. first would be the boy who came in crying over cakes who was now standing next to luo sama, he was wel dressed but just like shinji stated before seemed harmless enough. next would be the boy who cryshal completely and utterly ignored witch was pretty funny but he was now in striking distance. with a slightly dirty look in his eye Shinji would lock eyes with the biy and speak. "...Hey your names Timmy right....and you over there what of your name?....what brings you 2 to this village.....?" Shinji's discomfort was beyond obvious in his attempt to break the ice with the new arrivals as he spoke up. before they could respond his eyes would wonder on to where segare would be making his entrance with another young boy. he would quickly shift his attention back to the other new comers while never making eye contact. His left hand resting on the hilt of his katana the entire time awaiting th proper opportunity for a quick draw if necessary.
