Okay, this little mob of mermaids was clearly out to get him for real this time, this really sucked, whyyyyyyyyy.
Shaking them off (again), Solomon swam past America looking very annoyed. They hadn't even bought him dinner first.

Something familiar slipped around her waist and started tugging her down. She coaxingly tried to pet and stroke it, first with one hand, then two. When the tentacle remained insistent, America gripped at it hard, fingers digging into it's flesh until it was forced to release her.

So he was going back to the cave that wasn't full of mermaids to snoop around for more runestone (and not mermaids). Albeit, at the rate he was going he was never going to catch up with America (and her tentacle friend. Seriously, if they were going to talk about unorthodox relationships...)
