Okay this was much better now. He was focused, ready, and would make it through this match up with dignity, even if he did lose. He would put up the best fight he could against an opponent that he hadn't thought to do well against at all, and if he could just keep up what he'd been doing, who knew, maybe he could actually wi---- His attention shifted just slightly when he heard another familiar voice calling out, a mere flicker of his gaze towards Fini, whom he'd actually been hoping wouldn't show up. Or maybe he did want her there, but just... not like this Fini why. < FINN! > Another ear shattering snarl tore through his mind, dragging his attention back to the battle, too late to stop the axe that swung and hit him at the waist, sending him back pedaling in the sand with a slight hiss escaping from between clenched teeth. His insides felt cold, for once matching the dead look in his eyes. "Nice hit." He smiled, straightening back up, gripping his lance in one hand. He didn't even try to attack back. He wasn't conforming to whatever ******** mind game those two were trying to play with him right now. Damage: 0 HP: 17

Tuck chuckled softly and offered Finn the first real smile he'd smiled during their spar. "Ignore 'em, man. I know it's hard to do," Tuck's smile turned sheepish, "but you gotta ignore 'em." It wasn't easy to swallow the medicine he was dishing out, but he had his eye on the prize. Heidi in lingerie. That was the best ******** prize that could be had. With that thought in mind, Tuck swung at Finn. Some of the intensity had left the big man, and it was obvious he'd put his mind to enjoying what was left of their fight. HP: 15 DMG: 3

It was good advice, and Finn really, really wished he could just ignore them. He had been doing fine until their arrival, their brand of support not something that he was very appreciative of in the least at this moment. But Tuck was right. He had to just.... Raising his lance again to grip in two hands, he took in a long and steadying breath to try and quell the anger, the jealousy that was raging a war inside of him and threatening to spill out at any moment. This wasn't about them. It was about him finishing this, despite their antics, and their jeers. They were at least here for him, right? The match was back on, and in full swing. Literally, as Finn rose his weapon in an attempt to deflect Tuck's swing and instead ended up with the force of it making him turn, taking the hit in the shoulder for a second time. He responded by sliding the lance through his hand and stabbing at Tuck with it's barbed bottom end. Damage: 2 HP: 14

Tuck let out a low grunt when the barbed butt of Finn's lance slammed into his gut. It wasn't a particularly harsh blow, but it kind of surprised Tuck. He swung his axe around and up, a low chuckle rumbling up from his chest. "That's it," his words were kind of encouraging, and low enough that only Finn could hear - they were both back in the game, or so it seemed. HP: 13 DMG: 2

Tuck's upward swing took him by surprise, and hit him right in the chest before he could move out of the way, once again finding himself nearly tossed backwards by the force of it. His encouragement was not necessarily needed but it was...appreciated, in it's own way. It at least kept Finn focused, kept his mind off of what was happening on the sidelines. That was something that could be dealt with when this was over with. As he stumbled back and tried to dig his foot into the sand to stop his backward motion, he swung his lance around in a wide and wild arch, hoping to catch his opponent with it. Damage: 3 HP: 12

Spectating
Really mature, Abbi. Then again, he rarely expected her to be anything more than an excitable puppy at this point. The look that said as much got interrupted as someone elbowed him in the stomach. "Finiiii~" he greeted airily nevertheless, rubbing the affected area. "We were just talking about you, my lovely."
Call him whatever you wanted, Finn, he was thoroughly enjoying this, as expressed by how Jack tugged her arm and had Finin practically leaning on him.
"Well, I was thinking we could take a dummy, some driftwood, start a nice fire somewhere where titans don't feel like going, get cozy . . . See if we could score a drink or two to cap off the night under the stars~"
Oh, and look! Ripley managed to not get completely knocked out and joined them. Well technically joined Abbi (he wasn't going near that group, even if bugging his ex would have been the cherry atop this wonderful little sundae going on her), but Jack waved nevertheless with a lazy smile. "Yo. How's it feel to lose to a chick who already had an injury going in?"

"Oh you were, were you? It better have been good things~" Even if she was teasing the poor man with Jack, she couldn't help the way her grip tightened on Jack when Tuck swung his axe at Finn. And the hit that was along his midsection. She didn't want him to lose! Fini winced, gaze focused on the fight... until Jack pulled her closer.
Fini glanced up at him, a secretive smile playing at her lips. "Wow, I'm impressed. That sounds quite romantic." She said with appreciation and turned a winning smile up at him. "Wanna write that one down so I can tell it to Finn later?"
It was only with Jack's wave that Fini actually took in the other spectators. She recognized some of them right away. Abbi got a little wave and Stormy. Though she didn't know Stormy that well yet. But Gale really liked her and she was happy for him.
"C'mon Finn! You can do this!" A pause and a sigh. "Jack, be nice to the other spectators."

Tuck's next attack was surprisingly precise, and surprisingly powerful. Herryk's runes sparked and flashed as Tuck sent his axe singing downwards, angling in. It was a strong, solid blow, and Tuck let the energy behind the attack reverberate up his arms until he felt it deep in his chest. HP 10 DMG 9

After all of that, after all of the glancing blows and the dodges, the last thing Finn expected was to get hit so hard. The blow sent him reeling, the power behind it the very thing he'd been expecting this entire match. Trynt was shouting something at him again, but he barely heard it as he crumpled and fell to his knees in the sand. That had hurt. A lot. No the pain outside could match what he kept buried deep within. The fact that he had dropped his lance didn't even compute at first, his grip having gone completely lax. Trynt kept yelling at him, however, and that was enough to clue him back in. He was down, but not quite out. Not yet at least. Grabbing for his lance again, he swung it up rather hurriedly, in a desperate attempt to fend off any further attack. Damage: 1 HP: 3

Heidi actually blushed when Stormy said she wanted to see the pink thing. She cleared her throat, giving the Mist a little smile. "Um..that might not be a good idea. But we could maybe someday go shopping!" Bam. Saved it.
And look! Her encouragement worked! Tuck was doing better! Heidi jumped and clapped, letting out an excited cheer for her boyfriend's job well done. He could totally do this! She was still giggling when she heard Abbi say her name. "Huh? 'Sup?" She'd completely missed the conversation.
At Evan's suggestion to ask Gnat about Bubbles she smiled. "I think I will~." She needed to hang out with Gnat more, anyway. "He'll be so--OH MY GOSH!" Heidi gasped and clasped her hands together when Tuck made a really awesome hit. "GO TUCK GO EEEEEEEEEE YAY! YOU CAN DO THIS~!"

Spectating"I wanna go shopping tooooooooo!" Abbi piped up from beside Stormy, still holding onto her arm. She wiggled around a little and smiled at Heidi and tried her very best to look like the best shopping buddy ever. But since that was kind of a difficult skill to showcase while sitting on a bench, Abbi just kind of... Bothered Stormy's arm instead. Peeking back over to Jack, it seemed the girl from the kaiju fight had joined him. Huh, she had been Finn's partner during the throw people at the monster portion, but maybe she was just saying hi and here to help cheer him on. All too excitedly Abbi waved at Fini, turning back just in time to see Finn get really smacked around. "Fiiiinnnnn! Use those adventurer, hero skills!" She shouted helpfully, pausing to look over at Heidi. "I mean if you want... Like, Tuck is obviously the better fighter and look his girlfriend is so cute like you can't even hope to stand a chance."Sorry Finn. Potential new friends deserved more affection that ones already made.

He might've been feeling a little cocky, or he might've been thinking too much about Heidi in the pink frilly lingerie she'd promised to wear. Either way, Tuck's next swing could be considered nothing more than the most amazing fumble, and Herryk very nearly went soaring across the dunes. With a disgruntled noise, Tuck cleared his throat and waited for Finn's next attack. HP 9 DMG lol nah man nah

The cute teen got a smile at her enthusiasm. Really, Fini was surprised at how she managed to maintain all that energy.
And then Fini quickly rethought what she'd just said to Jack. He could bug the other spectators all he wanted. Her attention was beyond them, only focused on Finn. Sorry Jack, your arm might bruise from how hard she gripped it.
"FINN!" Oh crap that had been a hard hit. And what, no she was not worried shut up! "C'mon, make me proud!" She shouted, not realizing that instead of the 'we' she'd meant to say, it came out 'me'.

SPECTATORAnd look his girlfriend is so cute.  Heidi sank down as if trying to hide, her face hot pink, and she pulled on her braid so it was across her face. It was her attempt to become invisible.
