"Well you have a buy then, so go watch a few fights and see who you might face. You could learn a thing or two doing that." Shifting his scythe to his other shoulder he faced Noah more fully tilting his head a bit. "Well yeah, most of us have been up for a few months, heck I've been here almost a year now I think." Dates didn't really matter outside of pay day.
"Halloween, it's a place, made of FEAR and monsters, it's a long story and as a Life you'll get a full history course on it I'm sure." He moved placing Sylvia on the ground leaning against her slightly with a smile. "Sylvia here is a Banshee. They where creatures, now they're weapons."
He paused, "She say's hi by the way."

"Oh hey, that's a good idea. Research." Noah seemed to relax a little at the idea. "Whoa, a whole year? You must be a great fighter by now."
He studied Sylvia with interest. "So, like, monsters that get changed? Can they change back? Man, everyone's weapon is so freaking cool," he commented, a little mournfully.
I'M COOL. I HAVE VERY LITTLE BODY HEAT. BECAUSE I'M DEAD.
"Uh. Lazarus says hi too."

"As a life that's you big thing, research and helping others. A moon does medical in field, you're the one who has to patch us up when our weapons can't do the heavy lifting." He laughed, "I'm a terrible fighter, I just get lucky I think."
Pulling Sylvia back to his shoulder he started to walk towards a near by board listing where each fight would take place and exactly when it would. "Yeah, they call it conversion, I don't know the details very well." Looking back at Noah he raised an eyebrow.
"Your weapon didn't exactly just say Hi did it?"

"Awesome." Noah's smile brightened. "I've seen some of the equipment in the labs, so far they've only let me do like cleaning and stuff and taking care of minis, I can't wait till I get a chance to learn more about, well, everything. I've been in one fight, I did okay, I think," he added.
"I, well, uh. He's sort of. Creepy," he said, crestfallen.

Roland chuckled, "Yeah there's a lot of stuff I haven't seen or been allowed to touch. I've done a lot of reading. But hands on is a bit more iffy." He was checking the location, something about the abandoned towns? That would be interesting.
"You'll get better at fighting as you go." He paused looking back at Noah, "Don't worry, Sylvia didn't say hi either, she was too busy talking about how she thought you looked good."

Roland started laughing at the poor hunters reaction, Sylvia meanwhile squealed in delight. If Roland wasn't blushing at least the other hunter was. "S-she has a thing. Oh man I'm sorry, sorry about the laughing. She has a thing for looking at other hunts and auhhh commenting." He chuckled again.

Roland continued to laugh a bit as he dug through a pocket pulling out a notepad and paper before offering it to the other hunter, a torn scrap with a number. "Look I gota go and get ready for my fight but. Here." He chuckled and finally managed to get a hold on himself, "Give me a text sometime I'll see how you manage in your fight or something alright?"

Noah tucked the paper away carefully in a notepad in his pocket and gave Ro a half-shy smile. "Thanks," he said. "Good luck, I bet you'll do great!" He was still blushing, but that wasn't likely to go away anytime soon; that was just the way things went, embarrassingly enough.

Bix came back onto the scene with mud splashed on his boots but he looked fairly pleased. It was only mid-morning and they were already almost through the first round. He put his megaphone to his lips as a few other white coats wrote winners into the board. "WE HAVE SOME WINNERS!! CONGRATULATIONS! YOU GUYS ARE MOVING ON TO ROUND 2!"He looked at a paper with the names on it and decide against just announcing them aloud. They were on the board, right? "If you didn't move along, don't worry! Take out that frustration verbally! Make sure to visit your friends matches and give them a piece of your mind!" He grinned. "And remember that any empty arenas can be used for your own spars! If the match got you hot to trot, it won't count for the tourney, but you can still spar a friend! GET THAT BLOOD PUMPING!" It was the Sun Division way, afterall! BRACKETS ARE UPDATED IN REAL TIME!!TraineeIntermediateHunter---------------------- OOC Notes based on questions-Edits made to the rules regarding negative and 0HP. There should be no blood or true damage. All battlers are equipped with an experimental damage dampener to keep them at 0 hp. This was instated by Zoo and has been inserted into the front page rules. The time frame of this tournament should be WITHIN 1 IC DAY. The entire tournament. There are enough arenas and fights running simultaneously. The fights, IC would be 15 minutes or less. If we started in the morning, by the time we get to the final rounds it will probably be around dusk. It will be an action packed day!

[[ OOC NOTE: I will be wrapping ROUND 1 between 9pm-10pm EST tonight. DON'T RUSH YOURSELVES! And don't worry if timezones didn't permit (and I'm sorry I couldn't find you a better timed match up). The winners will be the hunters with the HIGHEST HP at time of ending. ROUND 2 WILL START SHORTLY AFTERWARDS!!]]

Loss had been an inevitability, so Mimsy didn't look disappointed or discouraged when she arrived at the common grounds again. She appeared more interested in the damage dampener, and was feebly fiddling with it as she leaned back against one of the tables, ignoring the sampling of snacks behind her. This was a useful thing. How far did it extend?
Despite being immersed in the methods of acquiring and testing one, she periodically glanced up, casually checked her surroundings, then returned to her efforts. She might have been eliminated from the tournament, but she was far from believing that she'd lost anything - as long as she gained information, it could be categorized as a victory.
And that was all that mattered as of late anyway, tallies on her side of the board, marked with determination.

"So.. thirsty.." Robert trudged in, his clothes dusty from the dunes, and immediately grabbed one of the water bottles. He unscrewed the top, tilted the bottle up, and opened his mouth. Half of the water got down his throat - the other half just washed all the grime off of his face, and flattened his hair back. Then he grabbed another water bottle.. because he was still thirsty. But at least now he felt clean. Er. Cleaner. While unscrewing the second bottle, he actually looked at his surroundings, and his expression transformed into relief, and perhaps a little too much joy. "Hey, you." He teased, walking over until he was beside her, and crouching down on the ground in front of her. It was there, close enough to her to touch, that he shook like a wet dog.

The greeting was almost immediately returned, as if Mimsy had been expecting him. "Hello. Will you be progressing to--" Blinking behind the blurred splotches on her glasses, she stood very still, trying to adjust. She had not been expecting that. "...oh." A droplet of sweat-water dripped off of her nose, and she looked vaguely like she was on the verge of reminding him that he wasn't allowed to shake water off of him in the house. Unfortunately, they were outside, so she had nothing. She defaulted to a smile, for reasons unknown, and leaned towards him. " Cute, but I have had worse. It isn't dirt and fertilizer, after all." The smile twitched when she finished speaking, and she struggled to prevent it from fading. Was that... "A second scarf, hm?" Her attention was redirected to the green fabric, one hand curled around either end. She gave it a gentle tug. "Is it a trophy?"
