Finally getting her pass, Delilah hooked it onto her shorts and headed back into the crowd of people. Out of everything that could possibly happen, running into someone she knew was the lowest thing on her mind.

And then she saw the last possible person she expected.

"Mathias?" Delilah called out cocking her head to the side as he moved towards another female. She could only guess that was the girl she had heard other cousin's talking about. Her costume was pretty impressive to say the least. But still, her eyes were on the male as she shook her head and moved towards them. "Well never thought to see you here." Her face cocked a smile with a shrug.

Out of the corner of her eye though, she saw someone familiar to her. It had not been too long since she had seen him but as soon as she was done poking her cousin, she would have to say hello to Quenton if he didn't see her.

Jessie payed the cabby and stepped out of the cab, making sure that her coat and dress didn't catch in the door before closing it. She quickly straightened her outfit and glanced nervously around. With a mental sigh she saw that other then a few glances she wasn't even noticed. There were so many others who were dressed up as well. At least I'm not dressed like her. She said as she saw a skimpy girl saunter by, short shorts riding up and the crop top so short it could be considered a bra. The bright hair and orange suspenders just confused Jessie. She didn't really know what tv show or anime that girl was from.

"BELLDANDY!"

Apparently Jessie hadnt been missed by the crowd as a young boy came running up and asked politely if he could take a picture with her. She nodded and tried to smile and once free she bolted for the doors of the convention center. With luck she would find Lily soon and maybe the younger girl could explain why she threatened harder training sessions if Jessie didn't come dressed up.

It took three days before Abby conceded to her father's point. It was only polite to wear the costume that was given to her... and it would be extremely unladylike to tell her classmate that Abby thought the entire idea was stupid. She didn't want to go to this convention let alone go dressed up as some character that Abby hadn't even heard of but the young girl couldn't fault her father's point. A lady would accept such a gift as a outfit graciously and they would wear it when it was appropriate.

"Have fun darling." Abby's dad said as he pulled up outside the large building. Abby just waved as she hopped out of the car tugging the blue skirt down from where it rode up. At least she didn't look too out there with the paler blue top paired with the darker blue skirt, knee high socks, black mary-janes, and a two tone backpack. She was a few steps from the car when her father called her back. "You forgot your hat Abby."

The young girl stoped in her tracks and made a face before she turned back around and snatched the white hood with bunny ears attached to it. Apparently it was an important part of her Fiona 'cosplay' and the only part of it that Abby 'forgot' at home.

"Apparently you left it in the kitchen, Ms Annie found it and gave it to me." Her dad gave her a look before helping Abby fasten the hat on. "Now don't you look fantastic. Call me when your ready to head home darling. Love you."

"Love you too dad." She quickly headed inside after waving good by to him. If luck was with her Abby hoped to ditch the hat before her classmate found her.

This was the first time that Qiuyue had ever been to a con and she found herself thoroughly enjoying the experience so far although she had not the benefit of another's company to go with. It was almost as if she had stepped right into an entirely different world the moment she purchased her ticket and was ushered through the main entrance. People decked in outfits and bringing to life their favourite characters from various series, booths peddling just about everything related from T-shirts to hats to all sorts of accessories. It had just about everything that a fan would wish for.

Making her way around the booths, it dawned upon her that she might appreciate what she saw and encountered here much more were she better acquainted with some of the series that they came from. She wasn't about to let that dampen her mood though, a small smile crossing her face as she came up to the next booth that had an assortment of flowers on display. It was... different compared to what the other booths had and she came to a complete stop just as she came to the chrysanthemums. They looked different from those she had seen in the past and it piqued her curiosity some as evident by her posed question. "Are these... chrysanthemums?"

Ah, the first customer!

When compared to the majority of people she looked rather normal, which was not a bad thing at all in Jade's opinion. She focused on doing last minute check ups behind the stall while waiting for her order. She was silently pleased to see such reaction on the girl's face, which told her she had succeeded at least on presentation.

"Certainly," she said, with rather professional voice when Castille expressed her interest towards ramen. "It would be three dollars."

"Would you like eat here or would you prefer your meal packed into a lunch box?" she offered and took one of those lunch boxes from behind her and placed it on the check-out desk so her customer could take a closer look of it. It was a small purple box with orange-colored DestinyCon's logo on top of it. With rather easy-looking motion, she opened it, showed the box's interior and hoped she sounded enough persuasive when she said the following: "The cost is five dollars, the refill is free. Rather nice souvenir, don't you think?"

"Is there anything else you would like?"

In a sea of color and costume, a strangely... normal girl approached his booth. Still, Krishna did not object. She was direct, clearly intrigued by what he had to offer, and not exactly hard to look at. Her twin braids of brandished bronze were particularly lovely. He inclined his head towards her and waved a hand over the single blooms to highlight them, "They are, more specifically, kiku, hence the unusual shapes and colors."

After a moment of consideration, he pulled a very round, purple chrysanthemum from the single blooms and offered it to her for closer inspection. "Only three dollars a flower, miss. It would tuck nicely into your braid."

DUN DUN DO DO DE DO. "Hey attractive person." OOOOOO. Arm cast. Orange scarf. Black shorts. Brown blazer. Ruthie waved to the blond ticket salesman. "What's up? I want a ticket."

She laughed. Not like she would ever see him again, better smile, laugh and zip around like the fun, flirty, spirited warrior Yang. Sure, she couldn't wear both gauntlets, given her cast, but the one on her left looked boss enough to negate the other's absence. She hoped she would win a signed poster or comic book or stuffed animal--a signed anything, really.

She felt awesome. This was awesome. No monsters. No enemies. Just her and her cast. Cosplay. Strolling through Destiny Con without a fear. A normal day.

Despite the fact that Scott was suspecting that his senior officer in hiding was mocking him, he was determined to enjoy himself, and nothing did a damaged ego better than to hear the first compliment of the day. Granted, it came in the form of a pink-haired child in the most adorable Mario costume ever and it was quick, and a little inaccurate, but it was a compliment no less, and Scott was eager to accept it. He looked to Richard and gave a rather smug 'hahaha' look, but whatever he said fell dead on his lips as he noticed he had a customer. He was going to say 'Welcome to my booth', but he had recognized her.

It was her. From the Carnival. Right before they entered the House of Mirrors! This was the same girl, no doubt about it, and Scott swore that someone had shoved cotton into his mouth, as he found that it was very, very hard to talk or even breathe. What he wanted to say was 'oh thank heavens you're alive!' but that seemed highly inappropriate, and in truth, that would have just be extremely rude. He noticed her friend, the one with the short hair, wasn't there… what if she didn't make it?! His heart was racing, and he just stared at her, green eyes wide, lips straight in just about the worst poker face ever, and even his hat seemed like it was trying to hide him, as the middle head felt heavy all of a sudden.

Richard was no fool and he had a good memory. Though brief, he had recognized the pink-haired troublemaker that zoomed away, throwing them a drive-by compliment, and Richard made sure to let his voice carry as he practically waved a fist at the youth. "It's not just any dragon, it's King Ghidrah, or Ghidorah, or whatever! AND DON'T RUN, you're going to hurt someone!"

Not that he cared if he hurt himself. A little revenge never hurt, and the thought was almost enough for him to snicker, but like Scott, the first customer had caught his attention. The businessman in him wanted to shine, and he cleared his throat, pretending that he didn't just shout across the room like a crabby old man. "Welcome to the Syfy Be Movies booth! I hope you're enjoying your time at the conventio-oh hello, it's Penelepe!"

Of course he would recognize her after he made his pleasant spiel, but he didn't stop there. He couldn't, even when their last encounter left a bitter taste in his mouth. Unaware of Scott's terrible poker face, he reigned in his own emotions, appearing as nothing more than a polite booth attendant. "Was there anything we could help you find, Ms. Penelope?"

He glanced around, hoping, praying that her friend wasn't here. As if standing next to a kid with a homemade hat wasn't awkward enough! He didn't spot her, but what he did spot was a familiar face among the crowd, sporting a brown blazer but completely and utterly recognizable even from this distance. Now it was his turn for the really bad poker face, and he turned to Penelope, his smile more pleasant and forced to mask his sudden nervousness. "Why, a Transformers fan! I wouldn't have known!"

Cait giggled and spun around, bouncing on the heels of her boots. She was, she realized, unintentionally very in character as Hanji - but then, here she was, at a con in her hometown with her best friend and his totally-not-but-come-on-guys-really-boyfriend. Who happened to be kinda cute, and made an appropriately cooperative Levi. She certainly wasn't going to turn down a gift extra member of the cosplay group! Not when there were so very many characters to cover, and so very few people to cover them anyway.

"Having fun yet?" She asked cheerily. She certainly was, if no one else. Though she did hope that unwilling participants or not, her friends actually enjoyed the con to some degree.

Alistair laughed. He wasn't quite used to the cosplay thing - tucking his hair up under a wig, wearing a rather heavy outfit, and nevermind the props. "Well, you clearly are," he said, and then he glanced down at his cardboard sword - 3D maneuver gear, she'd called the whole rig. "I'm impressed that you handmade these."

Gabe adjusted his security polo, sighing. He was actually kind of relieved - at least he'd gotten out of wearing that ridiculous, strappy, crazy cosplay Cait had put together for him. Besides, he was putting in effort for the Negaverse, and as he understood, most of the booth owners and staff were fellow officers.

He just had to hope this didn't turn into a crazy mess - too many of his friends were here.

Lance twitched awkwardly. There were a lot of things he did not like about this current predicament. A lot Loads of people, awkwardly fitting clothes, seriously, what's with all these straps?!, and his hair was now magically short... and it itched. "I don't know how you put up with this... Why couldn't I just go with out the wig?" Lance asked as he glanced at the young girl who practically passed for his sister, by his standards anyway.

He glanced at his other two companions. One who also passed for a sibling, the other, a school friend. "This is nothing, she's made more complicated pieces. Basically, if it came down to a competition between Cait, and the Drama Prop Department? My money is on Cait. What amuses me is that you're not use to this. It's essentially theater, just not on a stage." The blonde said glancing at Alistair before turning to Gabriel and promptly, and uncharacteristically slapping the male upside the head. "You didn't think at all to warn me about this." The blonde grumped. "I hope she grabs you when you least expect it. Because I'll be damned if you get away scott free from this."

"Mr. Moreau!" The exclamation was one of surprise, but it was not harsh. No, it was nervous, and that emotion showed clearly in those deep garnet eyes. Her hands unconciously curled to grip the table and steady herself. Part of her wanted to apologize for how their last meeting had ended. Part of her truly felt that he deserved every bit of pain Harper had given him. He had, however unintentionally, ruined her birthday... and as sweet as Penelope Seneca could be, she was also heavily judgmental. She would not, however, ruin Destiny Con. Perhaps they could still salvage their relationship, if they kept it professional?

"Oh, I was looking at the shirts for a friend... she likes old movies." She did not mention Harper by name, not wanting to give the candymaker a start. "I juset don't know which one she would like best... Godzilla seems like a safe choice, but I've never heard of some of these others. I-"

Then he noticed her shirt, and her smile became a bit more natural. "Oh, yes, I really like it. The show can be cheesey sometimes, but it's always fun to see how the Autobots and Decepticons are going to handle the various challenges." Her gaze wandered away from Mr. Moreau to the silent blond who was also manning the booth. She studied him for a moment and tilted her head, wondering where she had seen--

Then it hit her, somewhat like a punch to the stomach. The Carnival. The House of Mirrors. He had tried to get her not to go inside, hadn't he? It was... a relief, on some level, to know he was alright. Now her words dried up, a little bit of shyness overcoming her. What did one say in a situation like this? What could she say? "H-hello. I like your hat..."

Ruthie studied the crowd examining the cotton and wool and leather clothes and imagining the sheep farms that grew the animals for those outfits like her parents raised her as a sheep until a familiar, darling, loud voice brought her from her trance. "OH HEY!" She called from the booth, waving. Eye contact. "RICHARD HEY!"

But then he turned away to talk to that girl.

Oh.

She laughed, but he...saw her? And he didn't wave or smile back? Maybe he didn't recognize her! She smiled at the ticket seller. Was she not memorable enough? Did he have no interest in conversing with her?

Over analytical. Smile big. Nothing to worry about. If he wanted to speak then he would speak. Maybe...he wanted help the customer? He could have waved. No he couldn't have, he was busy. Yes or no? Stay or go?

Speak of the shadow and the source made itself evident! There was Delilah, though her mode of dress would have fooled him into passing her by if she hadn't been on his mind. She was a little ways on into the convention and nearing another evidently familiar face. It was that upper semester student with the painting. He couldn't bring the name to mind immediately, but it would probably come.

Quenton started making his way over, to end at Delilah's elbow where she'd reached the security man and the woman he seemed to be engaging with.

"Delilah, I thought you might be here, with all the costuming. Do you have a table? You look great."

Then to Matthias, with as much of a smile, "This seems too low key compared to the MMA. I hope the pay is good?"

Despite the fact that DestinyCon was running, Fancy A Change had still been open for business. Marlin and his father had however compromised opting to open the shop half day instead.

It had been a quiet morning, with nothing apart from a sale of a costume for a kid's birthday party not long after shop opening so by the time noon had struck Marlin had been pretty happy to shut up shop for the day. He'd spent a bit of time pottering about the shop and checking stock and then a bit more tending his tomotoes up on the balcony of his flat and then decided to spend the remainder of the afternoon checking out the Con.

It had been pretty easy to pick up one of the last minute tickets from one of the booths adjacent to the entrance and then join the stream of people entering the huge building housing the convention itself.

He'd gone in costume, opting to dress up as a Lord of the Rings style elf, pointed ears and all. After all this was a convention - turning up in costume was kind of the done thing and besides he worked at a costume shop - double the reason for making sure that he was dressed in costume.

There was a fair deal of people around and Marlin found himself enjoying the buzz as he walked around. He had been glancing around some of the merchandise when he smelt something delicious from one of the nearby stalls, his stomach taking the opportunity to remind him that he had yet to eat lunch.

Following the smells found him at the food section that decked out like an Asian restaurant and Marlin had decided straight off that this would be his first stop. Although it seemed he wasn't the only one who had been tempted by the smells as there was a mushroom top wearing teen there, her strawberry blonde hair a shade or so darker than his own, talking to the woman who Marlin could only assume was running the food section.

While he waited for them to be done, Marlin studied the menu. The ramen looked good, but the rice dumplings looked tempting too. Decisions decisions... Maybe he'd opt for a bit of both and be done with it.

Castille eyed the box while she took out her wallet. It was a lovely box, and there was a refill! Who could argue with free food! Well, cheaper food anyway, because the box cost money...

She nodded, smiling sweetly. "The lunch box will be fine!" she pulled out her money, counting out the bills and handing them over to Jade. "By the way, your costume is super cute." she remarked, loving in particular the hat atop her head.

As she paid, another customer wandered over to the stall His hair was close to the same shade as her own, and he was in costume. Cosplay she silently amended, looking his clothes over.

"I like your outfit too." she said. "Your an elf right?"
