Melinda chuckles as she nods a little "Its funny, because I figured out of all the houses, you would be placed in Hufflepuff." he just seem relaxed, but very much a stand offish person. Sweet, but very reserved. It was the reason she instantly wanted to know more about him, other then the fact she was drawn to him.
"I honestly hope so, because it would make my day if I could find one." she glance down at her watch, only to look back up at Boaz "I'm not keeping you from getting back to work, am I?" she didn't realize they already been sitting there for sometime now.
It was strange, but she felt like she could talk to him for hours.
Never getting bored.

"Interesting. So that means that we'll be in dissimilar houses if the both of us were to live in that kind of world." Boaz remarked, smiling as he offered to keep his eyes peeled for a Ravenclaw shirt should he come across one when making his rounds at the Con before the both of them met up eventually. "If I happen to spot one at the Con, I can get it for you if your size is still available."
Of course that meant that Melinda would have to provide him with the size of the tops that she wore. Unless she trusted him to come up with a good estimate based purely on his own observation, which was exactly what he did next by leaning back in his seat and sizing her up.
"Ah no... no." Shaking his head at her question, he waved his hand in the air a few times in a dismissive gesture. "In fact I'm done for the day. But now that you've mentioned it, am I keeping you from your schoolwork and assignments?"

Melinda couldn't help but chuckle at his statement over the houses. It was honestly nice to talk and not have someone look at her strange. She like Harry Potter, and she wasn't going to deny it. Glancing away, she didn't happen to see him looking her over, which made her faint pink form on her cheeks. She didn't ask why, instead she just push her hair from her face.
"I do have some schoolwork, but nothing I am too worried about. I can get it done later this week." she didn't have the class again until next week, so she had plenty of time "So I'm yours until you get bored of me..." she paused when she realized that sounded kind of bad.
"I mean....oh bloody hell..." she hides her face "Sorry, that wasn't proper at all..."

Boaz found Melinda's reactions adorable. She was nervous, tentative yet earnest and eager to please in the hope that everything would work out fine between them both. "It's okie. Just a slip of the tongue. No harm done really." Stretching an arm across the table that was between them, he gently ruffled her hair then quickly pulled his hand back, hoping that that wasn't considered too inappropriate given their current relationship status.
"We should probably get going though since the dinner crowd's starting to come in. Not that I'm bored of you already, I really am enjoying your company and this conversation in fact." He pointed out, feeling a little bad that they had occupied a table for so long without ordering anything other than drinks. "So how did you get here from your dorm or apartment? Do you want me to walk or give you a lift back?"

Melinda couldn't stop herself from squeaking as she wasn't expecting him to ruffle her hair at all. Turning a deep shade of pink, she looks down as she tries to get over how embarrassing she must have sounded just a second ago. At his mention of the dinner crowd coming in, she did lift her head to glance towards the entrance.
Slipping out of her plate, she picks up her drink and takes a final sip from it before setting it back down. "I actually walked here, and its only three blocks away from the campus. " normally she would have taken her jeep, but it was such a great day. And really, she wasn't about to pass up walking on a great night as well.
She smile "Walking or driving, its really up to you. I don't mind as long as we can chat a little longer?" it was the truth.

Upon seeing that Melinda wasn't opposed to them leaving the cafe so as to make way for the dinner crowd, Boaz lifted his hand to get one of the server's attention, gesturing to indicate his intent of footing the bill. Joining Melinda as soon as that was done, he gave her a smile, moving ahead to get the door and hold it open for her to exit the establishment.
"Let's take a walk then. Less carbon footprint plus it's a fine weather for people to get around on foot." While driving her back meant that he wouldn't need to make another trip back here to pick up his car later on, it hardly made any sense for him to use the car if it was for the purpose of covering such a short distance that they could easily cover on foot.
"So what do you usually do during your spare time?"

Slipping out of the building, Melinda smile as she waits for Boaz to join her before walking down the street. "If I could, I would walk everywhere, but sometimes I have no choice but to use my car." slipping her hands behind her back, she thinks for a moment about his question.
A small smile forms across her lips as she turns her attention to him "Its a toss up between playing the flute, playing video games, or spending my day outside. When I'm not doing any of that, I am normally found at the gym on campus doing some gymnastics." she just recently got back into them, but wasn't a big thing in her life like her music.
"Music my passion, so I practice everyday." she shrugs before she push her curls from her face for a brief moment "What about you?"

Walking beside Melinda, Boaz nodded a few times as she began to share with him some of her hobbies. "I see. What kind of music do you enjoy playing? Classical? Jazz?" While he was no music connoisseur himself, he had some rudimentary knowledge at least, having taken some piano lessons for a year before he told his parents that it really wasn't his cup of tea.
He gave the question that was posed right back at him some thought, this being the first time in a long while that he was being called upon to speak of his hobbies and interests. "I do quite a bit of reading, partly because I need to keep myself abreast of the latest development with regards to my work. I'm trying to maintain a running routine three times a week. If I'm not rostered to work on weekends, I like to work with jigsaw puzzles."

Melinda smiles as she rounds the corner, a small frown forming as she see they were close to the campus. Turning her eyes towards Boaz, she couldn't help but chuckle "See I love playing classical music, but I love listening to it as well as jazz." she shrugs as she pauses "I am pretty diverse when it comes to music. I really love it all." she love her parents for that, as they raised her to enjoy all types of music.
Shaking her head, she place her hand on her hip "Well if your ever looking for a running partner, you can always call me." she glance towards the campus "I guess this is where we part ways. Thank you for a great evening, it was alot of fun." she push her hair from her face.
She wasn't sure what else to say at this point.
If she had it her way, she wouldn't end this little meeting.

Boaz smiled as he walked beside Melinda and made a mental note of the kind of music that she personally enjoyed for his own reference in the future. "I'll keep that in mind if it's not at an unearthly hour since I usually run before I need to turn in for the night." While it was nice to have a running partner to keep pace with, he wouldn't want her to be out and about late in the night because of this lest it compromised her safety. He would know best since part of the time that he used to set aside for running had been replaced by his Negaverse duties since his corruption following the Hunger Games marathon event.
"You're welcome. Thanks for gathering up the courage to express your interest in me. We won't be here having this conversation in the first place if not for that." He told her with a sheepish look on his face, lost somewhat as to what else he should do at this point. "So um... is it alright if I text you later when I'm back home?"

Melinda couldn't help but smile as Boaz asked if he could text her later. Quickly nodding, she chuckles "Of course, and feel free to text me anytime." she takes a step backwards before she nods "It was a pleasure to chat with you Boaz, and I will see you at the convention." with that, she turns and pretty much runs back to the campus.
The whole time a smile was on her face as she makes her way to the dorms.
She was so glad she actually told him now, as this turned out to be the best evening she had in a long time.

"I will. Same goes to you too. I'll reply whenever I can."
Boaz agreed with a smile, watching Melinda as she turned to make her way back to the DCU campus. Well, that hadn't gone too bad all in all really. He too found himself lamenting inwardly at the loss of her company as he turned to start making his way back to where he had left his car.
If all went well between the both of them, this might well be the beginning of a very important milestone in his life.
