The ghoul laughed, and then gestured for Sulmanon to follow. "Here, I'll show you where the nurse's office is! And our nurse is Nurse Cricket. She's quite serious, but very good at her job."

Xiu began to lead her to the office, though she was a little caught offguard by the flurry of questions that were suddenly pelted at her. Pink eyes growing wide, she held her hands up in front of herself, lifting a finger for each question. One, two, three...nine. Nine questions.

Okay, let's see...

"Um...there are some paths that lead under the school that are generally off limits. There aren't any caves on-campus--at least, none that we're allowed to explore--but there might be ones elsewhere. The maul is a nice place to visit if you want to buy something or just relax, though walks in the woods are nice as well. Let's see, what else..." With each question she answered, she lowered one of her raised fingers, brows furrowed in concentration. "The professors are all...different, but they're quite nice in general? And most of the students are very friendly, don't worry! Um...you don't have to bring anything tomorrow, there's no one I can think of off the top of my head right this second, we have dozens of races on campus, and yes there is a library."

And then Xiu had to take some very deep breaths.

Following Xiu to the nurse's office, Summanon was surprised when the ghoul actually answered all of her questions. Most people usually missed questions she asked or deliberately ignored them, because she was so curious that she usually wound up pelting people with questions. Processing the answers and seeing how breathless Xiu was, Sulmanon only asked two more...for now.

"Are you okay? Also, am I allowed to ask more questions?" Then she realized that, if she was not allowed to ask anymore questions, she was in trouble. Upon realizing that, she smiled wanly. People often chastised her for asking too many questions.

Kaiyumi
Yeah, Sulmanon is extremely curious. XD

She straightened up once she finally recovered, letting out a little laugh at the ghoul's questions. At least this time it was just two instead of a flurry. "Yes, of course! I'm here to help! Just, ah..." Looking sheepish, she baku smiled, "Just...a few at a time, okay? Ask questions in groups of three, perhaps?"

At the very least, she would probably be less breathless that way. However, she was rather impressed by the fact that Sulmanon had so many things to ask--a healthy curiosity was always good, and it seemed like she was eager to learn.

Ariaalina
Not a bad thing! biggrin D

Happy that Xiu was okay and willing to answer more questions, Sulmanon smiled sheepishly and said, "Three I can do, sorry. People often tell me I'm too curious." Saying people had told her she was too curious was the understatement of the year. Her curiosity had been what lead her past teachers to teach her how to read several different languages quite early, it allowed her to find her answers herself.

Pausing for a moment, she came back with three carefully chosen questions. "Where are the paths under the school? I'd like to know where they are so that I can avoid them while looking for any nearby caves. Also, where is the library and are there any books you'd recommend?" After those three, she managed to hold her curiosity at bay. For now.

Kaiyumi
Yes, but she takes it to an extreme. Would you like to brush over Sulmanon's interrogation of Xiu by saying something like "Sulmanon proceeded to ask Xiu a ton of questions", or something? XD

"The paths are...well, so long as you aren't mischievous and don't try sneaking into places you aren't supposed to be--a staff member's office while they aren't there, for instance--then you don't have to worry." The ghoul smiled in amusement, and the crossed her arms over her chest, humming thoughtfully.

"I can show you to the library no problem. As for books...depends what you like, I suppose? I'm a bit of a hopeless romantic, so..." Xiu grinned sheepishly, coughing quietly. She just liked really fluffy and excessively sweet books.

As she led the ghoul towards the library, something suddenly popped into her mind. "Oh...wait, we do have a cave on campus! Or well, it's a hot spring, so I suppose it's not exactly the same thing, but if you'd like to take a look it's behind the Undead dorms."

Ariaalina
LOL, sure. biggrin D And that's okay--at least she's getting a lot of things out of the way first alfkjajsdf

"I probably won't go anywhere I'm not supposed to go." Sulmanon replied, thinking to herself Unless my curiosity gets the better of me. Her curiosity had gotten her into a bit of trouble in the past, but she could usually keep it in check now.

"Ah," Sulmanon replied, "I tend to go for adventures, histories, or for books telling about caves or other races. Though, the main reason I like books telling about other races is that my parents really only let me meet other dragons when I was growing up, so I wanted to know what other types of beings existed." That was a genre of book she was unlikely to read for a bit, if mostly because she was planning on meeting as many different races as she could.

At the mention of the hotspring cave, Sulmanon perked up. A cave that had natural hotsprings usually had more cave systems around it, if you could find the entrances. That would definitely be something she would have to check out.

On their way to the library, Sulmanon proceeded to interrogate Xiu about the campus, teachers, surrounding area, what races she had met, the general attitudes of the five major factions towards each other, about Bakus, and about many, many other things. Quite frankly, she was surprised with Xiu's patience with her curiosity.

Kaiyumi
I do have a few OoC questions though. I was reading through the open classes and some bits confused me. It said you are allowed to do as many as you can do ICly in a week, does this mean to limit attempts to once or twice a OoC week? Also, are there any specific classes you would suggest for Sulmanon to take?

Smiling, Xiu lifted a hand and wagged her index finger. "Stay out of trouble, you hear?" She warned, though her voice was light and teasing. Truthfully, neither she nor most of the other students could seriously say that without sounding too hypocritical. Most--if not all--of the students in her year had done things that they weren't really supposed to.

She perked up in interest as the ghoul gave her a little background on her interests, the corners of her lips pulling upwards in a faintly wry smile. "Your parents sound a little like mine, though mine would have just preferred me to keep my friends within the demon circle." Ultimately though, she had come to befriend a vast variety of races in her time at the school. "There are many different races that attend this school--I'm sure if you ask politely, they'll be more than willing to tell you a little more about what they are. I can show you where the books for those are as well!"

Tail swishing behind her, she cheerfully answered each of the ghoul's questions to the best of her ability, having to pause in between each one so that she could consider it carefully. Before long, they finally arrived at the library, whereupon the baku led her new friend inside and showed her around. Novels full of adventure, history books, non-fiction on caves around Halloween and the different races--she tried to show Sulmanon everything that she had noted that were of interest to her.

Nothing wrong with encouraging a curious mind, after all!

Ariaalina
OO: Oooh. Tbh I've only done a few open classes myself/Xiu managed to pass all of them on the first go, but I think...it just means you can't say that the student did say, 10 classes (+ any redos) in one day? I think it's just more for IC stuff (so if you tried First Aid and failed, you can say "Sulmanon came back the next day to try again. This time..." etcetc)? XD I'm pretty sure you don't have to wait an OOC week between each class, but if you're super uncertain, you can ask in the Q&A and wait for official word from one of the admins! <33 As for specific classes, none in particular? C: I would just check out the learned abilities you can get from each class and determine what kind of things you want Sulmanon to know~~

In response to Xiu's joking warning, Sulmanon only grinned mischievously. She knew that, with her curiosity, it was only a matter of time till she wound up sticking her nose somewhere it did not belong, again...

Upon hearing that Xiu had parents with an attitude like her own parents, Sulmanon frowned a little and said, "Then I wish you luck in keeping your freedom. If they're anything like mine... I guess we're both going to need luck." The last bit of that had been delivered with a bit of a chuckle. She still needed to figure out exactly what she could do without her parents finding out. They always seemed to know what she was up to back home.

After getting a fair few questions answered and being shown rows upon rows of books she had never read before, Sulmanon was about as happy as a young dragon could be. For the first time in a very long time, she had a ton of new information to process, meaning her questions slackened off. Until she remembered, once again, the promise Xiu had made. "One last question, do you have a skellyphone? I thought it might to be a good thing to exchange numbers, just in case I manage to get lost on the way to your room." At least this one was an easily answerable and practical question.

Kaiyumi
Thanks for the information. I think, because of her insatiable curiosity, Sulmanon will probably try each of the classes just because she wants to find out what they're about. XD

Catching the look on the ghoul's face, Xiu laughed, propping her fists up on her hips as she lifted her brows. "Well..try to, at least." She said with a smile, shaking her head.

She wasn't going to hold her to it, though. Being a little mischievous seemed to be a part of Amityville life, after all...

Her smile softened at Sulmanon's words, and she gave a little shake of her head. "They're stubborn, but my uncle had been spending the last three years trying to convince them to loosen up a little. It's...kind of worked. Maybe your parents will let up a little too once you've spent some time here?"

Sensing that their tour--and their day--was about to come to an end, there was one more matter Xiu had to take care of. Fortunately, it seemed like the other ghoul had had the same thought, beating her to the last item that had to be addressed. Lips curving into small grin, the small baku ghoul slipped her and into her obi and drew out her eyephone. "Yes, right here! Now then, let me just..."

She offered her contact information to Sulmanon, and then asked for her own information in exchange. At least they'd be able to keep in touch this way!

No prob! OuO <33 And ffff go Sulmanon, go! *A* Learn all the thingssss~~

"I'll try." she answered, putting on the most innocent face she could make.

Her parents letting up? There was pretty much no chance of that. "They're just waiting for some incident or excuse to "prove that I was wrong in wanting to come here". The only reason I'm here in the first place is that I managed to wheedle, beg, and use logic to convince them that sending me here was a good idea. Otherwise, I'd still be locked in that castle." Sulmanon said glowering, though not at Xiu, but rather at some speck of dust off to her right.

Happy that the other ghoul also had an eyephone, Sulmanon pulled out hers as well. Her parents had bought it for her with the stipulation that she called them at least once a week. That was one of the conditions she had agreed to for getting to come here, but now it was going to be used for a purpose they had not intended. Managing to remember her own number and then giving it to the other ghoul, Sulmanon them fumbled with her eyephone until she had Xiu's number saved. Chalk one more mark in on her rebellion scoreboard!

Kaiyumi
Sorry for the late response, and I think I'll have her start trying classes after she's done with gym class. ^_^

That was not the most reassuring innocent expression, but it made the baku laugh nonetheless, and she simply dropped the topic with a little shake of her head. A little mischief wasn't too bad, after all...so long as she was careful not to get into too much trouble, at least.

"O-ouch. Well...you never know? People change with time, and it doesn't hurt to be...hopeful." Xiu offered with a little grin. She was just a naturally optimistic person herself, though she knew better than to be too idealistic when it came to these kinds of things.

Because really, sometimes people never changed.

With their numbers exchanged, she gestured for Sulmanon to follow her, turning to lead the ghoul back to the Monster dorms. The least she could do was walk her back, after all! "So...I suppose I'll text you again tomorrow morning with a reminder for when we're meeting up to cook?"

Ariaalina
No prob! OuO And good luck with those classes <33
PostPosted: Wed Sep 11, 2013 6:27 pm

"...but they haven't changed at all in over 50 years!" Sulmanon retorted, showing her age. She was one to be optimistic in some cases, but fifty years with overbearing parents had worn down her optimism that they might change, although, letting her come here was a surprise.

Happy to finally have a contact in her eyephone that was not her parents, Sulmanon almost missed Xiu's question. "That would probably be a good idea. I don't tend to forget things, but there are so many interesting things here, I might get a little caught up and forget." she agreed.

Kaiyumi
Thanks! One quick question, do you want to end this RP here and have the cooking lesson in a separate RP?

"Then maybe the 51st year is when they'll finally relax a little," Xiu laughed, though she certainly did hope that that would turn out to be the truth for Sulmanon's sake. "If not then, then maybe the 52th year, or the 53rd year, or so on. Hang in there!"

Once they reached the Monster dorms, the baku came to a stop, offering the other ghoul a smile as she clasped her hands behind her back. "Mmkay, no problem! Expect a message from me sometime in the morning then, and I'll see you tomorrow! Sleep well tonight, and have fun exploring!"

She turned to leave, but only made it a few steps before she suddenly perked up. Whirling back around, Xiu lifted a hand to wave. "And welcome to Amityville!"

With that, she made her way down the paths and back to her own dorm.

CC: Separate RP sounds cool with me! This post can be a wrap for this one then~~ *u* <33
