He reached for the nearest goblet--- And passed it to the companion standing next to him. "Sorry, but I can't become your king." The figures looks confused...but he just added this. "After all, I'm not even the person I'm currently is."
That one line causes dissonance. The memories retreated from him, and he found himself back at the place he was before.
"Hey Goddess. You there?"
No answer.
"You make me took Elli's Heart. Sure, my life as 'Rei' the Information Broker was just a mirage-at best an illusion. But that doesn't lessen your offense of making people act against their wishes! And now there's this." Rei gritted his teeth.
"This may be your world...but I won't let you control my actions! Now that I've regained my memories--why did I wanted to protect anyone in need---why did I can sacrifice myself so easily---I won't let you have your way!"
The weapons reacted with his emotion, and appeared before him as shapes made from pure light in their respective colors.
"This is my resolve. And I'll do everything in my power to make it happen."
The weapons vanished. The Goddess was never here from the start.
But something in him changed.
