Reap glanced sidelong as Rojand walked away, shamelessly eavesdropping from his perch atop the giant arachnid.
"Like <********> you were." he muttered to himself, pulling the blade out. Worried, that was a good one, worried he'd show up probably.

He took the hand and pulled himself to his feet. Using his hands he brushed away any debris that might have clung to his back.
"He seems like he can take care of himself." He paid a little more attention to Reap briefly, staring at him from on-top his dead prize. "Honestly i dont know why i'm not dead. It felt like a died, the light went out..." He touched the red glow of his chest, glowing normally now. "But then i came to and i was laying down and felt fine?" Weird. Really, really weird.

The spider burst apart, drifting back into the foggy remains of the city.
Iron could barely concentrate.
He just wanted to lay somewhere safe for a while. He went slack against the brick. Don't let any more come, he thought. He didn't have the energy to deal with another threat.
Just beside him, he could see the glowing, colored outlines of...something- he let his hand drop to his side. His fingers opened, and closed. Slow. Keep it together.
As his hand closed, the objects were crushed, and spiraled up into a tall, branched staff. Iron held it loosely, and although he felt like he was coming apart, he felt a strange, steady strength leak from the green sphere.
"I guess so." Rojand gave Mire's heart a confused look. "Well, you don't appear to be dead, anyway," he said, a touch of dry humor sneaking back in.

He cast a glance at the others again and went to pick over what was left behind. Once he'd done that, he stood debating with himself for long seconds.
Then he went over to where Ironshare was leaning against a wall, looking exhausted and almost not there. He carefully didn't look at Reap, instead just hesitantly touched Iron's shoulder, silently asking the whip for energy again.
It didn't respond. Confused, he dropped his hand and backed away.

Reap was just stooping to pull the shiny things out of the spider when Rojand moving caught his attention. He just stared for a few long moments as the other man reached out and touched Iron's shoulder.
And then he narrowed his brows, dismissed the silvery blade.
And ran.

Rojand looked up in time to see Reap turning to run. He didn't stop to think about his reaction; he took off after him, lunged to grab a handful of his coat before the other man could get away. "What the ******** are you doing? He needs you."

Reap's response was to whirl on the other man like a cat grabbed by its tail, seizing his coat with both hands to try and yank it back.
"Don't you ******** dare try and tell me what to do. You had it ******** covered just fine I could tell. Get lost, I ******** hate you."

"I was trying to heal him! And it failed. I'm not - holy ********, I'm not trying to steal your boyfriend or something," Rojand yelled back, furious and hurting and feeling like he'd ******** this up worse than he'd known -
- tangled up in the close warm darkness, keeping their kisses almost silent because it was impossible to hide that they were sharing a bunk but this, this was still their secret -

Reap flinched as if he'd been slapped at the word boyfriend, as if it was some dire insult that pulled on any number of threads of memory. "He's not my ******** boyfriend." he snarled. He was just the only person who'd seemed to want to stick by him, who kept coming back. Well Rojand kept coming back, but that wasn't for the right reasons...Right?
He didn't want to let the memories fracture through, but they did so anyway, too close to the vein, too close to something before. The voice was gentle, softly spoken but unmistakably familiar.
"I don't know what you're thinking if you think Harrison's going anywhere, he's your Moon and hell if he's going to let anyone else defend your a**. And I'm not leaving. There's - there's only one way you could pry me away from you now, and you know what that is, and I'd really prefer not to do that, I have things left to do."
And for some reason the confusion brought on by the memory only upset him more, only made the panic rise higher as if he'd done things all wrong. As if he'd ******** something up without realising he had.
He tried to plough on regardless. "So just go try heal him again and don't ******** up this time, I'm sure he'll appreciate it."

He didn't know what to say. He didn't know what to think or feel. His hands hung empty by his sides, and everything he thought he'd started to know was snarled up in a single hurting knot in his chest. "Don't leave," he said, very quietly, an oddly lost look in his eyes.

Reap wasn't expecting Rojand of all people to say anything like that and wasn't sure how to respond, caught up in his own awkward tangle of conflicting inputs. He looked to Iron and frowned deeply again, teetering on the edge of regret, walking away could put him in mortal danger, and Rojand too.
He shrugged. "I don't have anywhere to go."

"I don't either," Rojand admitted. He stood looking at Reap a little longer. "Thanks," he said, then looked back to Iron. "I don't think this is a safe place for him to rest." He ignored how transparent he was feeling himself; he was in better shape, he'd be all right soon.
