I've seen the world, Done it all,
Had my cake now, Diamonds, brilliant
And Bel Air now
Hot summer nights, mid July
When you and I were forever wild
The crazy days, city lights
The way you'd play with me like a child

Hearing the groans in Zien's voice, the vampire almost began to feel bad for the elemental. Breathing in his blinked slowly and put an arm around the slightly shorter young man and said "Only a couple of hours, then we can find somewhere to rest and enjoy ourselves, okay?" after pulling Zien's side close h let go and began walking inside the Library.

Walking down the stairs he took in the splendours of the library, the ceiling was high, only a few chandeliers remained burning. That was a surprise enough,, much of the area was dusty and shadowy. Stepping into the main room, a pedestal in the centre lit up and from it grew a alrge greena nd orange orb. Then a hologram of an elf walked forwards from it and said "Welcome to the Grand Library of Kunj'anast" it stared blankly forwards. By the looks of things it was an elf, very pointy ears and long hair, wearing rather old fashioned robes. "As the only fully developed city as of the current year 1472, expect to find anything, and all you wish" it finished, the magical hologram wisping away and back into the orb.

"1472?" Karuso repeated, looking stunned. The Orb then had some small, glowing orange stars inside it, with lines connecting them.

Will you still love me
When I'm no longer young and beautiful?
Will you still love me
When I got nothing but my aching soul?
I know you will, I know you will
I know that you will
Will you still love me when I'm no longer beautiful?

Even if it was a 'couple of hours' that still felt like an eternity to him. The elemental would have continued to grumble and complain but Karu drew him in with an arm to tuck him against his side. A less then please expression on his perhaps slightly blushing face, Zien didn't grumble further and followed after Karuso.

Stepping into the place, it was massive and impressive. It was clear though that it's maintanence could do with some work; shadowy and dusty. Even Zien knew that books deserved to be dusted at least once in a while. Looked like there weren't many people around her any more and stepping further inside, they were greeted by an orb and hologram person.

"1472..." he said after Karu repeated it. "...is that the current year or are we past that? That would have been a good question for the old man...knowing the date always helps at least a little. I'm sure you'll manage to find it somewhere in here..."

Zien had a good question, they never asked what year they were in, they couldn't have actually been in the past for all they knew! But it did say Kuj'anast was the onyl fully developed city... "I don't remember him saying Kuj'anast was a city... hang on" he said, stepping up to the orb and inspecting it closely with his eyes. Swipign his hand he used some darkane magic to create runes and symbols before him that analysed it. "It's a giant sphere of knowledge!" he announced, then dismissing his magic and pressing it with his finger, it lit up and gave him some options. Surprisingly, it was in English. "uhmm..." he said, scratching his head.

"What is the current year?" the same voice replied to him saying "Searching outside information sources... ... ... 2014". Shrugging, KAruso said "must be some sort of glitch. "What happened in 1472?" he then asked, stepping back and looking to zien whilst the ancient computer said the same thing "Insufficient knowledge, searching outside information sources.... ... ... 1472 is the year that the Circle destroyed the City of Kuj'anast for "proposed ill-use of the forbidden Jewels", as quoted by the Fal of Kuj'anast, by Agoris Demronild, 1563".

giving another astounded look, KAruso looked to Zien and said, almost with an innocent and defensive expression "Don't worry! I won't go reading it, that was enough information for me! holding his hands up in protest.

So the year given and the year that the city fell...some time had passed. A city destroyed because of some Forbidden Jewels. Well specifically 'ill-use' of some jewels, and the elemental could only raise a brow.

"There was a reason I hated history...its boring and more or less pointless half the time."

Hence why Zien didn't want to come at all, though he wasn't upset with Karu per say, it was something expect. If either of them were going to remember half this stuff, it was going to be Karu and not him. All he had to do was sit back and relax or be bored...either one wasn't going to kill him.

Huffing at his vampire's statement of 'not reading any more Zien shrugged. "Go on then..get the thing you wanted to bring us here for over with...I like living the new world we're in, not reading about it."

There was something that had to be said about Zien and Karuso, since when they first met and now they were both far more comfortable with voicing their opinion, even if they didn't agree on everything all the time. They were contrastive to each other. One of them was young, lively and searched for fun. The other was old and had a thirst for knowledge like anyone's grandfather.

Karuso ignored Zien's first comment, taking as just another comment the young guy would always pass. Turning back to face Zien though as the elemental continued with talking about being quick the vampire replied "I'll take one book then we can leave, i promise".

The vampire made a point of being quick after that, he didn't like disappointing Zien, it was a weird feeling but it made him feel guilty. As he turned away he thought about this, but after hesitating for a second her used the giant orb to locate a book, which then was found on one of the lower floors and down a few corridors. "I need to go find the Occulas Historia" he then turned around and asked "Do you want to stay here, or would you like to follow me?". Behind him flashed a map with a dot showing where the book was, and it was a little way downwards in another giant hall.

▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▒▒Micha'el Maues▒▒▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄

The Zeppelin journey only took an hour or two, the library was nearby and regularly in use by readers of Shard City to the west. Placed amongst a forest with many overgrown trees and bushes, the Grand Library of Kujanast stood out like a shark knife poking through the canopy. Beside it, however, was a crystal clear lake and a small portal of field surrounding it. The entrance to the library was a giant archway where two giant doors stayed wide open almost all day and night. The foyer was nothing more than a staircase leading down and to the right that lead you into the first hall of many bookshelves and ancient corridors that lead either up into the towers, or deep under the ground.

Micha'el came to the clearing where you could finally see the library and its giant stain-glass windows, the walk from the station only took a few minutes. "This thing always looks bigger when your stood beneath it" he said after taking in a breath, burying his hands in his warm pockets. "There doesn't ever seem to be anyone looking after the place though, i always presumed the Circle just kept an eye on it from Shard City. But, seriously, i bet you've never seen so many books in your life!"

Just at the end of his sentence the sun over his face suddenly went into shade, looking over the horizon he saw how dark clouds were moving in from the far north, perhaps a storm.

To this world you where nothing,

Leah Cain

The Zeppelin was the strangest thin Leah had ever been on, LEah had clung to Micha'el the whole way terrified to even look over the edge, once they had landed she had tried to ignore the fact she'd made a fool of herself, looking down to hide the blush.

However once they where on the ground she was amazed at how large the building was, it dwarfed them towering over the trees. "Uh huh!" she said mouth open admiring the sheer scale of the building, how many books where inside and what ancient knowledge was hidden deep inside. It was as if he had read her mind when he mentioned the books, "I bet theirs lots of old texts on the dark ones in there..." she said looking around half lost in thought.

She hadn't even noticed the weather till Micha'el mentioned them, "Well we had better hurry," she had an odd feeling about the clouds, something tugged inside her, a quite unease. She tried not to let it show as she began walking towards the building

Leah definitely had the right idea, his stomach felt a little uneasy thinking about what sort of storm might be coming, either way they're going to be under the solid roof of the library, not even the biggest hail storm could reach them through it's architecture. "Got that right" Micha'el agreed, eagerly making his way inside. Stepping into the foyer was quite a surreal experience, every time he heard his steps echoe down the staircase it reminded him of just how vast this place was, made him feel quite small and insignificant sometimes, to think that an entire city once stood nearby until it was destroyed by the Circle.

Coming out of the foyer and into the main hall, where a red carpet, old and ragged lined the floor, with a great emerald orb in the centre, surrounded by bookcases and ladders with other glass windows of oranges, greens and yellows letting through the dying light. Luckily, most of the library's rooms were lit with dull green lamps. "So, have you always been interested in the demons of hell?" he asked, casually, walking past the book shelves, "the Greater Demons, i mean" he added, not to be confused with the lesser.

Micha'el always had an interest, perhaps because they were exactly the sort of thing the Aria taught him to fight against. But he was captivated by the mystery surrounding them, equally the angels, if they really existed. Unfortunately, the angels had not been seen since the Burning Invasion, and thanks to that not many people these days really think they exist, or bother to interact with mortals... demons on the other-hand, they never stop. En'radial's little show of trying to take Shard City last year went... terrible for her.

What had drawn her into following those two from the cafe to a Zepplin and the rest that followed in their trip to the library, Kee'Da wasn't sure. But she didn't question it really, it was something to do and nothing that would put her out of her way. Nothing to do and nowhere to live really, the redhead was a free spirit; coming and going like the wind through the city and plains.

Slipping onto the Zepplin was easy, maintaining hiding away from the crew and passengers was a bit more difficult however, still pretty easy. Jumping off quickly and silently when notified of their stop, Kee'Da was disappearing into the green foliage and blending into it like she belong there; hood up to help block the color of her hair.

And that was how she followed them, only instead of on the ground she was in the tree tops. Jumping and leaping from branch to branch with ease, and her medal claws helping her maintain grip as needed. Kee'Da was running out of trees though as the two neared the library and eventually hurrying into the entrance after eyeing a storm-line. That storm left an odd tingling in the young woman's nose...something that wasn't normal.

"...just how will this all turn out..." she breathed.

Leah walked close to Micha'el, he seemed to know his way around but then, he had been here before. She ran her hand over some book spines, some in languages she'd never seen.

When Micha'el began asking about the demons Leah looked back towards the entrance, a shiver ran up her spine was something there? She shook her head, the place was likely abandoned. "No not always," she said shaking her head again, "I believe someone I loved was killed by one, if it's true there must have been a reason." She stopped and looked at the floor feeling suddenly sad, "I'm sorry, it's not your cross to bare." She walked a little ahead and looked down the hallway, she scowled and tried to focus along the corridor, was someone whispering? 'come closer' she knew that voice.. "Micha'el, do you hear something?"

Walking deeper into the cascade of bookshelves they both adored the many different books surrounding them. Seeing the pale blues, the deep reds, everything in between and all the shades of the forest always astounded Micha'el, and the size of some of the books were mind-boggling. Not to mention just the vibe some of the books in the more closed-off sections gave off was enough to make him shiver.

She hadn't always, she said, and then he noticed how her face seemed to drop slightly, like something in the back of her mind, a memory not distant enough reminded her that she should feel sorrow. "No, please" he said, turning around "i don-" he couldn't talk anymore, she raised a question suddenly. Thunder roaring suddenly from over the building, the high and slender stained glass windows now dull and flashing once or twice. In that moment he thought that maybe the deeper corridors of the library would be more inviting.

To her question though, he cocked a brow and nervously followed her gaze. He couldn't hear anything, and he didn't like the thought of anything making a noise down here either. "I don't" he said, almost sheepishly "this place is all what remains from the nearby ruins of it's city, you know. I don't know if you believe in the supernatural but this would be one hot-spot i tell you..."

Micha'el then lifted his hand a let a white light glow from his palm, curling his fingers like a hawk to contain the spell as he nervously looked around Leah. It was probably nothing, it is a spooky day after all, big storm, dark corridors in an abandoned library not far from the ruins of Kuj'anast City... yeah, everything is just peachy.

The storm raged outside as Leah squinted down the corridor, she knew that voice...
Micha'el illuminated the room although all it succeeded in doing was making the shadows cast an eerie darkness in the corners of the room, she shook her head, "Perhaps its just my imagination," she shrugged. She began walking down the corridor but there it was again, that voice! She stopped and looked to Micha'el. "Am I just hearing things or do you hear it too?" She gritted her teeth before sighing. "It's probably just the storm playing tricks on me. Do you have an idea where the best place to go would be?"

Come closer, deeper, deeper.... A shiver ran up her spine but she tried to ignore it.

Scouring the room he saw how his light abrely helped light up the place, just made more shadows crawl along the floors. "hmm..." he replied to her, then bringing his light to a bookcase and saying out loud "Maybe there's some books on the evil on the deeper-" she then spoke up again, he turned to look round to her and she was still questioning the sounds. Raising a brow he watched her sigh and began to worry. He knew the darkness could play games... but whispering to you? That's just creepy, and probably bad news. Lost in thought, shaking his head suddenly when he realised what she said, he looked down a corridor and said "Well i believe we'd be best-off going to the more-"...

He thought he heard something to. He wasn't sure, but he heard 'soemthing'. It wasn't fake, either. He turned round and looked to her, staring at her, as if to say 'i heard it this time'. He took in a deep breath and then something caught his eye, way above the towering windows behind Leah at the other end of the great hall. There were figures coming closer towards the window, it was all blurry and took took, but raising his hand to see if the light would get any better in some sort of false hope, he tried to understand what it was. The glass then began to ripple like a stone dropped in water, and that was when he knew trouble was brewing, ready to spit at them like fried eggs. "Get down" he then shouted, just as the glass window shattered into a million pieces and several smoky serpents flooded into the higher sections of the room before coming down nearby them, the smoke dissipating into a flurry of dust before bony demons with wings stretched their skinny limbs and big black eyes at the two mortals. Standing up, Micha'el stared round and couldn't believe what he saw, real demons, they had to be demons, nothing else in this world looked like them!

Perched up on a part of the library's roof, she had a nice view of things around her and access inside in different ways that were quick and easy. Why she was sitting out here as if she was on guard for something she wasn't sure. Kee'Da's instincts were telling her though that this was what she needed to do. Her keen cyan colored eyes narrowed in on the dark storm coming closer and how it brewed with ill intentions.

The Scarred in her was well aware something was coming...something bad. "Darkness is coming...." she droned, unsure exactly where the words came from but the redhead threw that aside as she picked up sounds of things coming closer.

When her eyes caught them, all Kee'Da could do for a time was stare at them. As it wasn't exact shape that they had at first, wasn't till crashing through did they have shape, and she had to find a new spot to see that. Course now those 'demons' as she had no other word for them had eyes for the two humans inside.

"Damn-it..." she hissed through clenched fangs. "...I searched them out because they smell of trouble...I guess I wasn't wrong..." Smirking beneath her hood that hid her face in shadow, Kee'Da raised her hand and the medal talons on her fingers grew and spread so now all fingers had a claw 6 inches long; on both hands.

The creatures eyes set on the mortals as they were, clearly look far from friendly as they spat and growled at them. Clear to the redhead's eyes was that they were about to attack and strike. Unsure of the two other's skill level, Kee'Da chose to act before anything could happen. Leaping into the building and taking the same path the creatures did, she was falling through the air and slicing into a demon with her claw as she met the ground.

The cry of the demon's pain drawing the attention of its kin.

It had been a while since she was in a good fight, and the grin of enjoyment was spreading on her face.

The pair looked at each other, he had heard it this time. Thankfully that meant she wasn't going mad. Then came the shattering glass, she crouched putting one hand across her face to cover her eyes, the other instinctively unsheathing her sword. Looking up she saw the shadow daemons swimming in the air, but that wasn't the only thing, the girl from the café had come too and slashed at a daemon. Leah wasn't about to ask questions, chanting some arcane words a ball of fire coiled around her hand and she threw her hand forward shooting the fireball at the group catching one square in the chest.

She backed up to Micha'el hoping there would be some safety in numbers, "Where did they come from?" She yelled preparing another fireball or the pack.
