Captain Mica was low on energy at this point. She didn’t want to admit to anyone that she felt as though she was neglecting her duties as a Negaverse officer, though had anyone asked, her reasoning were pure. She had taken General Ilmenite’s suggestion to heart and she had been spending the last few days mulling over some financial problems, as well as looking into returning to a lifestyle that she had once given up, and fairly easily. Because of Ilmenite’s words, and some personal shame, here she was, decked in an extravagant gown and thankful that it had covered her uniform, for the most part. She made a point to come in several minutes after her roommate, though, in fear that someone would try to pin the two together. This time, though, it wasn’t out of disgust or any hatred of him, but just sheer embarrassment for him, but who was she to persuade him otherwise?

It was a ‘Come As Your Aren’t’ affair, and if he was enjoying himself, then who was she to say otherwise? She took Ilmenite’s words to heart, and she was determined to show this to him, should she be given the chance this evening.

The event had started and she immediately got to work. In truth, she wasn’t all that interested in finding a sweet heart, but she’d entertain them, long enough to get their precious energy. The first gentleman was a fair looking fellow, a little nervous but understandable, given the nature of the event. Most people who went to these speed dating events were there out of sheer desperation to cure their loneliness, and even they knew it. She did her fair share of listening, as well as talking, and she made sure to pitch her voice lower than usual, speaking slowly but with reason. Keep them occupied on her alluring lips and her assets while she worked at draining his energy.

“Your hands are calloused,” Mica said, grasping that hand gently and sensually, taking the little bit that she needed and making a point not to act too swiftly. Pull away now and he’d grow suspicious, and she didn’t want to attract any unnecessary attention, especially after watching another officer get dragged away. Serious business, just like the Valentine’s Day dance... “You must keep them busy with manual labor. It’s refreshing to see men who are willing to get their hands dirty every once and awhile.”

“Construction, ma’am.” He said, his nervous smile clear as day and his blush working wonders to hide the slight flush when she siphoned a little of that precious energy of his. “And woodwork on my spare time. I could make you one hell of a bookcase, if you want!”

To that, she grinned, before slowly pulling away and holding her hands under her chin in mock amusement. “I’d prefer a bed over a bookcase.”

Typhon was shooting daggers at the buxom blonde who had kissed Bornite for a while now. He wasn't even paying attention to his current date, instead still staring her down and focusing all of his energy draining on her at the table beside him.

"No, no, tell me more about that," Typhon said, looking at the hunk of a man before him. He rested his chin in his palm as he listened to boy babble on while he slowly drained his energy. "Yeah, yeah, sure you're straight, and so am I. It's okay, man. We're just two straight guys, enjoying a date together. That's totes hetero."

Thyone's attention was caught by the exchange at a nearby table [unfortunate for the scrawny dude sitting across from her], due to the conversation and the participants. Typhon, she didn't know much about but... Was that the young man who'd helped her move her things into her apartment? Yes, it was.

The timer was up, and she flashed the country boy a big smile as he moved to her table. Her foot wouldn't find its way to his crotch, but her hand did reach across the table to squeeze a muscled forearm. "Aren't you cute," She did have a thing for jocks. "What's a handsome boy like you doing here?"

Her hand lingered on his arm, squeezing, while she used his response as an opportunity to focus on draining his energy. Sweet guy. Not that she was listening. Not he cared if she was listening.

Typhon's next date was a little too old for him - well over triple his age. The conversation started out alright, basic introductions, before the old woman got tired and decided to take a nap. Alrighty then.

"You're kind of cute," the brunette started, looking at her dark-blue-haired date. "Green eyes, I like that, and such pretty hair. I love long hair. Can't you tell?"

Haley Jones played with her absurdly long hair as she spoke to her date. She thought he was going to say something, but quickly interrupted before he could get any words out.

"And to be clear, if you want to get with this, then that's probably okay, but if you want to go on like, any kind of real dates? We gotta lay down some ground rules, man," she started. "For one, no bathrobes. It's weird that you have one. I get this is a costume thing but holy ******** man, be au natural. When I do take my showers - which are quick, gotta preserve the water, man - I just step on out and air dry. It's the best way, you don't need to waste resources on stupid things like towels."

"Other things not to waste if we're going to date? Food. And more importantly animals," she continued. "Any dates we go on need something vegan for me to eat, and not just a salad, okay? That's like bullshit date food man. I mean, I love salads, but don't leave me with a ******** salad on a date. That's just cheap. Also, you're paying. And no, not because you're the man, but because I don't have any money and if I did, I really don't want to pay for going out to dinner when I could just cook you a great tofu and eggplant meal at home."

"Speaking of my place, a few things you should note," she didn't stop. "I don't have air-conditioning, it's stupid expensive and wasteful, and separates us from the environment. It's summer now so it's super ******** hot, so if we do go to my place to hang out or to fool around, bring some cold bottles of water probably. Oh, and we'll have to keep the doors open to let some air flow through the house. But that's okay, my parents are around but they never check in on me really. They're normally just sitting outback smoking."

"Do you smoke? I love to smoke, that'd be kind of a deal-breaker if you don't smoke," she said firmly. "Well, not a huge deal-breaker, but it'd probably make me lose my interest in your pretty quick. I love to get high and I liked to be with someone who likes to smoke out with me, you know? I mean seriously, I'm offering you so much here - I'm the total package, man - your absolute dream babe. And if you can't see that or appreciate that, then perhaps this relationship just isn't for us. I mean, why aren't you saying anything man?"

"Ugh, forget this," she crossed her arms, angry. "Go suck a d**k."
