Vancha Marl Sebastiannn Vancha Marl Whelp, here goes nothing. Hello! I'm Vancha Marl, but you can call me Vancha or Van for short. I'm 20 years old, was at SCAD for college but ended up leaving from not so pleasant grades, now going to a college in Nashville. I love drawing characters and creating their designs, along with animals and creature designs. My style is more 'anime-like', but I'm practicing a few different styles now. I am also attempting to enter into two different OCT's on deviantart right now (artistic suicide, I know). I also stream while drawing a lot of the time. My art software of choice is Sai painter for lineart/sketching and Corel Painter 12 for a more painterly style. I'm also currently practicing animated drawings, though the usage of macromedia 8 still eludes me. When drawing, I also use an Intuos4, and am currently stuck to using a laptop. I was on hiatus on deviantart for over a hear and have only recently rejoined, but here is my deviantart page if anyone wants to take a look as I have been more active as of late. My stream can also be located here, and I usually stream every night unless I have work. Other than that I don't know what else I can say. x: OMG you went to SCAD? I wantto go there but i didn't sign up cause i felt like i had no chance since my GPA is 1.5 -sighh- what's it like?... o3o I went to the Savannah campus, and the city there is the most beautiful city I've been in. I'd go back if I could have a chance to. It's really amazing meeting all the artists over there as well, but extremely competitive because of it. You also need to be careful as the dorm rooms are a short way away from the 'ghetto' area. The only slight thing to worry about is the work there is very subjective, and if the teachers don't like your work they can often grade it lower. Other than that, if you think you can work in such a competitive environment, I really would recommend it. (also, the food is amazing there) Omg :< im about to save obama's life so that i can get in xD I already live in a ghetto area so i'd probably feel more comfortable about that :3 What GPA did you have before you got in? OMG i wanna go soo bad

OMG i wanna go soo bad Sadly, I can't remember my GPA from high school off the top of my head. (wasn't the best though, fooled around a lot). Even with that though, I had $10,000 scholarship academic, and $10,000 scholarship artistic. When applying they take a look at your gpa alongside your artistic ability. I do believe they also offer financial aid to some.

Welcome to the guild! biggrin Bamboo tablets are all right. I used one after my intuos broke and before I got my cintiq. They're definitely easier to manuver and don't weigh a ton like the cintiq! Which of the programs that you use are your favourite?

Sebastiannn do you know which one they look at more? or do you think they look at it evenly? most art schools don't really care about grades right? I couldn't say for sure, they never specified. And while academic grades don't influence art quite as much, It does help to have a higher grade. You may as well try to apply if it's what you really want, because in all honesty the worst they can say is no. And even at that point you've at least gotten an answer instead of wondering for awhile after.

I didn't do my research when I went to buy my tablet T^T One hand with a Bamboo, the other with Intuos... I'd say my favorite is illustStudio, it has photoshop, sai, and other professional softwares all in one! heart

Hmm, about me. My name is Alexis, I'll really answer to a lot of names though. I'm currently 17, though I have a tendency to act older.. I absolutely love music, kpop is my current obsession, but I also love rock and metal. :3 And I sing and dance; my friends and I are doing a few different covers. I don't really draw seriously, I kind of just draw what I feel like. Traditionally I stick to realistic portraits, and I usually draw what friends ask. If I feel I want to color something or draw anime-style, I switch to digital because I hate coloring things. I only have my Monoprice tablet, Autodesk Sketchbook Pro, and Manga Studio Debut 4 (Which I still, after 2 years, still don't know how to use) My deviantart is HERE, though I don't upload too much. I also cosplay and do other random crafts with polymer clay and embroidery thread (for bracelets and such). Lastly, I hate talking about myself. ^^; I don't bite much, so feel free to chat with me~

I'm 21 years old and am German.
I go to school in the US and study Japanese and Chinese.
I'll actually be in Japan this fall, so I'm pretty excited.
I think my art is pretty unoriginal, and as of right now I wouldn't say I have a particular style.
I do like drawing cutesy things like chibis, but right now I'm really trying to develop my own style. I use a wacom bamboo and Sai.
I also have Manga Studio, Artrage, and PSCS5 but I hardly use them.
And I plan on making a new deviant art account so yeah...I'll just add that in later or something.
Also I was pretty surprised to be invited to this guild, so thank you~ /has no friends on gaia orz/

Hello all
I'm gabike, 18 years old.
A fresh high school graduate with no goals or aspirations whatsoever.
I watch a wide variety of anime, but don't even get me started on that one.
I draw anime style, currently obsessed with writing fanfiction.
Seldom draw freebies like the next top xmas elf, sometimes i don't.
I've been drawing for around 7 years, give or take a few.
I started drawing digitally around 3 years ago, still cannot use any program properly.
I use paint tool sai and a wacom bamboo pen&touch tablet.
Hope we'll get along
