Cetalese & Green Halith HP: 35 Dmg Mod: +2 Thread Burned: 3 Scored: No. Current Thread: 66-3=63
The first wave was proving to be light and relatively simple. Cetalese wasn't about to complain, but it was impressive how well everyone was working, considering recent events. Perhaps the dragonriders were finally getting used to performing their ancient duty. None had yet left due to injury and few particulates if any had slipped past D'lin's wing.
Halith, too, was doing surprisingly well. This was the first time that Cetalese could remember where neither she nor her dragon had taken a scoring right from the get-go.
You're doing very well, Halith. Watch that those don't slip through.
I will not let you come to harm, Cetalesemine. As she reassured her rider, Halith burned away a few strands that had escaped the attention of the dragons ahead of them.

Dizzian & Courath // Burn Post
Dizzian settled her goggles over her eyes and bent over her green's neck. Courath thrummed for a moment with pride in her rider's bravery. Sure her knuckles where white in their gloves, but Dizzan no longer hyperventilated or shook with fear when the call for Thread went out.
They had only a moment before the fight was on and the first blood was spilled.

J'nes and brown Hatteth HP: 49/53 Agility: +1 Thread: 57/185
"Wheel and turn, or bleed and burn." The line of the old song came to J'nes's mind as the riders wheeled and burned. Hatteh dipped to avoid a thread that was coming at him at a bad angle to flame, then turned to chase after it and flame it. The wind was doing them no favors, tossing the Thread about like a child with a new ball, so that Hatteth actually missed his first shot. Growling to himself - what was he, some freshly graduated weyrling? - he let out another burt of flame, and this one properly charred the Thread.

J'nes and brown Hatteth HP: 44/53 Agility: +1 Damage: 6-1= 5
No sooner had that Thread been charred than Hatteth bugled in pain. Twisting, J'nes saw that another bit of Thread that they'd missed had caught his dragon's tail. He only got a glimpse of it before Hatteth popped between. A moment later they were back in the sky and only a Threadscore was left on the brown's tail.

O'thor and Silver Adamanth HP: 60 Dmg Mod: -1 Thread Burned: 3 Scored: No. Current Thread: 57-3= 54
Left!
I see it, O'thormine. Adamanth adjusted his course slightly to cut some of the distance between himself and the clump falling toward them.
It was difficult, fighting Thread. Although Adamanth was the one doing all of the physical work, O'thor felt that his part in being one with his dragon was draining him almost as much as it was his Silver. Thankfully, Adamanth was a Silver, and his combined stamina and natural flaming ability were giving the pair a definite advantage.
Adamanth drifted back into place, his words coming to O'thor though his gaze stayed on the fight ahead of them. We are warned not to do that again and to let the Thread come to us.
O'thor nodded, though it made little difference. They would take the direction to heart.

Rochelle and Kibeth HP: 49/55 Thread Left: 54 - 3 = 51
Mal and C'tis survived, no one looked to be destroyed. Rochelle and Kibeth ducked and swerved, the crimson snapping up more 'stone. Her wings burned with the effort, stamina up and muzzle bared to shoot another jet of flame to the falling white strands. Greens were faster, the blues and blacks, but that didn't mean the crimson pair would shaff this up.
Too badly.

Rochelle and Kibeth Damage post
HP: 49 - 1 = 48/55
I hate everything, is all Rochelle could mentally hiss when they turned too fast to avoid a clump. A thankfully thin, small piece of thread hit Kibeth's wing tip. The crimson snarled, turned to burn it off with flame when Rochelle smacked her red flesh. They blinked between instead of flaming their own bodies (what sort of idiot would flame a dragon during Threadfall?) and reappeared with a grumble.
How is it that you threaten to kill him and you keep getting us hurt again? the crimson dipped down, chasing after a bit that got past them. Her eyes burned the same color as her hide, a mottled blue breaking through every so often in her pleasure at destruction, pain aside.
We're lucky. Kill it with fire.

Etasha and Coryxoth // Burn Post
Steady out, she told him, a calming hand resting on the black's neck. We're all right. The healers cleared us - we're good to fly.
Coryxoth keened, but only softly, a nearly inaudible sound that only his rider would be aware of. His duty to the weyr outweighed his concern for his rider; there were too many wounded riders in the air today, too many who'd been asked to do their duty before they were ready, lest Trine be caught shorthanded. If others were in the air, then Etasha could do no less.
Gathering himself, he chose to target a small clump that had nearly slipped past the higher altitude wings, flaming it neatly out of existence.

Etasha and Coryxoth // Damage Post
A moment later, the black shrilled as a thin line of pain scored across his tailtip. Another low-falling clump behind him... He'd only just caught the outside of it, but that sharp sting of pain was enough to alert him to the greater threat.
He blinked between, then with all the accuracy that his color provided him, blinked back into the exact same place he'd been, only facing the other direction and with jaws wide and gaping to flame.

The wings were flaming well, and he turned his head to flame at a patch that was falling next to him. It was an awkward position, and not his best bit of flaming, but at least it was taken care of.

Concentrating on the patch as they were, the brown missed the one that was coming towards him, and as he turned, it caught him on his muzzle, and he flicked between.

V'lay and Blue Vinath - burn post HP: 47 Agility: +2 -----
Not much left that he could see. That was good. V'lay clung gamely to the straps, ignoring the growing ache in his sides as Vinath twisted and dove, with all the agility afforded a smaller dragon. He wasn't certain where they were supposed to be - too few dragons still out injured, too few riders nursing themselves back to health - but they were moving well, below the larger dragons, darting back and forth.
A single massive clump broke between two of the larger animals and Vinath snarled and dove toward it, belching a great cloud of flame that reduced the whole to ash before he twisted neatly away, head coming back for more firestone even as he did so.

N'mol and Bronze Tyeth HP: 73 Dmg Mod: -3 Thread Burned 10+5=15 Scored: No. Current Thread: 39-15=24
Jaleth reports that several dragons are low on firestone.
Tell them to do their best and let us know if they're at the bottom of their sacks. I think I can see the edge of this wave and it would be safer to send back for 'stone during a lull than in the middle of the Fall.
N'mol sense Tyeth's attention diverting to conversing with Jaleth as the Bronze made another wipe sweep of flame above and before him, searing a wide swath in the silver curtain, and then turned his head back for more firestone of his own.
