The kiss to her head won Tuck a happy little noise, turning her head to kiss the back of his hand. "Oh, gosh. Lots of places. Anything outside of Rhode Island was fair game, really. And not all of them are like, super fancy places, y'know? Like, I hear California has this burger place that's supposed to be better than sex in your mouth or something, I wanna see what those are about. Theme parks, I've never been to Disneyland, I wanna go to all those parks they look so cool. Uhhh..Australia, I'd love to go snorkling or scuba diving to see the great barrier reef. Ohhh and I wanna surf. I've never done it, we don't get waves like that in Rhode Island.." She had dropped their hands then only long enough to swing them back up again above their heads and twirl once while they walked, playfully dancing a bit without letting go of Tuck's hand. There really were a lot of places she wanted to see. "I really want to see an underwater cavern or something, I used to find super pretty pictures of them online. I think Mexico or the Bahamas has one.." She shrugged.
Heidi stopped when they finally reached the lake, gasping with delight and looking all around. It really was quiet, and it was beautiful. This was the best, absolutely the best. Heidi made another happy noise as she moved to stand in front of Tuck, taking his other hand in hers and swaying forward and backward from toe to heel, using his hands to keep herself balanced. "Yooooou're the best~." Heidi grinned, hopping up on her tiptoes to catch his lips for a quick kiss. "I kinda wish we could go swimming in the lake, it looks really nice. Are you ready to eat?" She hadn't packed a blanket to sit on but they didn't really need one, right?

Tuck was grinning up until the whole sex in your mouth thing came around, and those words in particular earned her a look that was kinda shocked. He regrouped after a split second as she kept talking. All of her ideas sounded pretty great - and they suited her. When she did that little dance, Tuck's head fell back in a laugh. He was enjoying this.
He was enjoying her.
"I bet we could go swimmin' if you really wanted to. My boxers is just like swim trunks, an' I'm sure what you got on is good enough for swimmin' in. S'warm enough that we'd be able to dry off before gettin' dressed again. If you wanted to, I mean." Her kiss earned dimples that went on for miles. Disengaging his hands from hers, Tuck lifted his broad shoulders in a shrug before tugging the backpack off of his shoulder. He handed it to Heidi with a broad smile.
"An' you're the best," he said softly, kissing her cheek before seating himself on a particularly lush bit of grass and clover. "I'm starvin'. What'd you pack?"

Heidi blinked. She did look surprised by Tuck's suggestion, not because of what it entailed but.. "Are..are we allowed?" She wasn't entirely opposed to it but she didn't want to get in trouble and removed from the park. Did this place have hidden cameras to keep an eye out for trouble? Heidi let him free his hands, taking the backpack from him when it was offered. She blushed again. Her? The best? Stop that. But she smiled anyway as she sat down beside Tuck and started taking a few things out of the backpack. "Waaaater.." Because water was a better idea than soda. She set two water bottles beside Tuck and kept digging. Heidi then removed a sealed bowl of cut up fruits, and several wrapped sandwiches. "Foooood~."Heidi didn't miss a beat as she continued with her next question. "Your boxers are like swim trunks?"

"Ain't nobody around here to stop us if we wanna go swimmin'. This lake don't get used much from what I was told, an' only then by fishermen who wanna walk all the way up here." Tuck shrugged and nabbed a sandwich, quickly unwrapping it before he took a monster bite. This. This was what his heaven would be. A quiet mountainside lake and simple food. There would probably be a pretty girl involved - and she would probably have blonde hair and green eyes. Tuck lifted a brow at her question and cleared his throat. "Well. I mean. They cover all the... important bits. I ain't no whitey tighty man. Boxer briefs is how I roll - or boxers if all my briefs is dirty." He cracked open one of the bottles of water and took a drink. "Heidi, I um. I wanted to talk to you about somethin'."

Heidi was taking a pair of forks out of one of the backpack's pockets while looking out at the lake. It was very tempting, she really didn't see why not with a point like that. It had been so long since she went swimming..
...On purpose.
She grabbed the fruit bowl and opened it up, plucking a strawberry out with her fork and chewing thoughtfully. Swimming with Tuck would be fun. Tuck had her attention again when he cleared his throat, looking his way when he explained..what...kind of boxers he wore.
She blinked, ignoring the slight color in her cheeks. She had seen men in boxers, it really wasn't a big deal..but then why did imagining Tuck in only his boxers make this single strawberry the most interesting thing in the universe?
"I'd like to swim." Heidi finally decided with a little smile, holding her fork out for him with a few grapes on it.
The sudden announcement had her curious. "Hmm? What's up?"

With a nod and a grin, he leaned forward and took the bite of grapes. After chewing that, Tuck took another bite of his sandwich and chewed about a million times. When it was properly pulverized (and he'd gained some sort of courage - which was weird because this was Heidi and not some sort of monster), he took a sip of water.
Stalling? Absolutely.
"I just wanted you to know that I like you." He cleared his throat and decided straight-up honesty was better than beating around the bush. He'd never been the sort to act like a damn fool (which was exactly what he was doing now). "I mean that I .. I really like you. More than friends."
He cleared his throat again.
"But I don't want you to be .. worried. Or rushed, or anythin' like that. I just. I want to know how you feel. About me. An' if you just like bein' friends that kiss, that's, well, that's fine. But if you did like me. Like, more than friends, I'd want to know 'cause I don't want to go around.. doin' stupid s**t when.. well, what I'm sayin' is that I wouldn't look at other girls if that was the case. I mean. If you liked me like I like you."
He crammed half a sandwich into his mouth.

Heidi laughed and rolled her eyes when Tuck said he liked her. Yeah, she hoped he liked her. Friendship didn't really work if you didn't--more than friends? Like...he..
Whoa.
Heidi's eyes widened, her jaw dropped slightly. No one had ever confessed anything like that to her before. Well, not regarding her at least. Tuck..was really going to give her that? Little Miss Potter who had no experience regarding this kind of thing when he had two gorgeous and lovely women older than her and most likely more experienced?
He wanted her.
She didn't even try to hide the huge smile on her face. She didn't have to share him? He would be hers and only hers? That made her more excited than she would have ever expected. "Like..you'll be my boyfriend?" Heidi asked as she scoot closer. "And I'll be your girlfriend? Only me?" She scoot closer again, trying so hard to contain her excitement. Boyfriend. Tuck wanted to be her boyfriend.
Heeeee!
"I like you," Heidi reached for Tuck's hand. "At first it was just y'know you're my bro but...you're really sweet and kind and thoughtful, and you're really funny, and we like so many things.." It was easy to be around Tuck. He was awesome.
She smiled and squeezed his hand. "I really, really like you."

Tuck finished chewing around the time that Heidi rolled her eyes, and his heart just about dropped into his gut. He'd ******** up. He'd ******** up, he'd opened himself up and now she was going to ******** laugh at him because she didn't like him the same way he liked her - and in the split second between the moment she rolled her eyes and the moment she smiled, a million awful thoughts rampaged through his mind. She was only spending time with him because she wanted to learn everything there was to learn about being intimate, and then she'd move on to someone better and then he'd be alone again, and then --
All of those thoughts were dashed away the instant she smiled. He felt a little -- no, a lot -- foolish for feeling the way he had. This was Heidi. Everything was so simple with her. She was so open and honest, and she'd never use him like that. More than anything, Tuck honestly believed that she wasn't like the girls he was used to - the manipulative creatures he'd gone to school with. It was one of the reasons he enjoyed being around her.
He couldn't stop smiling.
"Yeah, I .. I will. And you'll be my girl, only you. Nobody else. An' I promise, I ain't gonna.. you know. You still settin' the pace."
She squeezed his hand, and Tuck laughed and tugged her gently into his lap before he kissed the tip of Heidi's nose.
"But. We gotta kiss to seal the deal, though. No kiss means no deal."

"Yeah, well, don't feel like you can't...try asking.." Heidi shrugged, picking at a piece of melon. There was a faint blush on her cheeks again. Sure, she could possibly say no but..if he was going to be her boyfriend he could try.
He was going to be her boyfriend holy crap that was too awesome for words.
Heidi squeaked with surprise as she was tugged into Tuck's lap, comfortably settling against him with her arms on his shoulders. The kiss to her nose won Tuck a giggle.
"Oh man, a kiss?" She grinned. "I dunno, Tuck. You're asking a lot of me.." Heidi squinted at him for a moment before she playfully sighed with defeat and grinned up at him. Heidi leaned in close. "I guess I can humor my boyfriend with a kiss." She giggled again and wiggled excitedly on Tuck's lap. Boyfriend! She had a boyfriend!

"Believe me," Tuck was super serious face. "I'll try askin'. I just don't want you to feel pressured. I ain't goin' anywhere. 'Specially over sex."
He growled playfully against Heidi's neck before pulling back just enough to graze his lips along her jawline. "You should stop wigglin'," he teased quietly before very lightly nipping at her chin. From there he moved to her lips, pressing his to hers in a way that was similar to the kiss he'd given her before their trip.
Tuck's hands settled comfortably against Heidi's waist as he kissed his girl, a low rumbling purr rising contentedly from his chest.

Heidi shivered at the feel of Tuck's breath against her neck and then her jaw, but she did do as she was told and stopped wiggling. "Sorry, sorry. I just, I've never had a boyfrie--" oh! Kisses! Heidi was very eager to return the kiss, pressing close against Tuck. She did like this new kiss, it was fun.
He wasn't going anywhere. Neither was she. Heidi tried not to giggle when tuck made a new sound she'd never heard him make before.
She reluctantly ended the kiss, unable to stop grinning even as she claimed his lips for another kiss. "So is the deal sealed now?" Heidi asked after the second kiss, her hands massaging Tuck's shoulders.

Tuck grinned after Heidi kissed him a second time. At her question he nodded, still grinning like a damn fool. She was just... too Heidi. Unpretentious, no ulterior motives. Adorable. Everything that he wasn't used to. "You stuck with me. Sorry 'bout your luck." His expression relaxed as he nuzzled her jaw. It felt like a weight had been lifted from his shoulders. He could stay here forever. "You still want to go swimmin'?"

"Aw, crap. What have I done, oh noooo~" Heidi giggled and kissed Tuck's temple. "I think it's more you're stuck with me. Why would you do such a thing to yourself," she teased with a feigned whisper of horror. Heidi nudged him with her nose to coax him to lift his head up so she could kiss him again. She wanted to kiss her boyfriend. Her boyfriend. After the kiss she was content to just cuddle on his lap and resume their lunch, she even started to turn so her back would be against him and she could reach the food again, but then he brought up swimming. Food, swimming. Cuddly lunch eating, swimming in her underwear with her boyfriend. Heidi couldn't stop smiling every time she reminded herself Tuck was her boyfriend. "Let's go swimming," Heidi finally decided, though she made no move to get up yet.

Tuck's breath hitched when she nudged him for another kiss, and his fingers tightened slightly on her waist. He was one-hundred percent sure that she had no idea of the effect she had on him, which was something else he wasn't used to. If he knew what was going on in that head of hers he'd probably chuckle at the both of them. "We got all day. How about we go swimmin' after I let you feed me some more food?" Truth was, he was having a perfect time just sitting there, holding her. There was something powerful in the knowledge that she was his, a possessive notion made stronger by Herryk's presence. The weapon, too, was possessive in regard to the blonde. Grinning at Heidi, Tuck jerked his head in the direction of the fruit. "Gimme a piece of that."

"Okay~." Heidi smiled and reached for the bowl and fork again, turning on Tuck's lap in a way that put less strain on her back. She fed herself a few more pieces of fruit before Tuck demanded a piece. She held the fork to her lips and eyed him with a glint of mischief in her eye. Heidi felt she had two options; she could be a good girl and feed Tuck as he had asked..or she could see how long he would tolerate a game of keep away. Heidi picked another strawberry out of the bowl and eyed it with a thoughtful little hum, holding it near her lips. "Why should I?" She challenged, trying very hard not to smile. "What's in it for me?" Matilda snickered.
