Devil-Steel

Pushing their way through the prison, both Arc and Lucas would be welcomed by the warm rays of daylight and a cold, steeled determination of a small battalion of soldiers. Surrounding the prison, Celestials would be at the ready. A bearded man, well seasoned in battle and rigid in character, another armored clad man would take to the front. If he were human he'd appear to be in his late 40's and it was no wonder how his wrinkles were appearing with how low this man furrowed his brow. His hand would be resting cautiously on his hip mounted broadsword but he knew that making any aggressive move would cause a fight to break out.

"Lucas. You're being charged for treason by the High Council. Collaborating with demons, one of which was a member of Cruxis, slaying a Seraph, and abandoning your duties to put yourself on the front line. Calmly return to your cells. Let's not make any more trouble, sir..."

"I won't. I don't regret anything I've done but clearly the Council is twisting the truth here. Or rather they aren't telling you all of it. But we all know that even if I was put on trial that I would not get a fair judgment."

"Sir, Heaven stands for justice and righteousness! You don't know the outcome-"

"Please. I appreciate your modesty but let's not lie to ourselves. Listen!! Removing me from the throne will welcome more bloodshed between Celestials and Demons. I'm a man of action...tell your Council that! There's so much more at risk if we go back to fighting with Hell. Earth will be caught in the middle as it always is...and I'm afraid this time it won't recover."

"...I won't ask you again, your highness. Turn around and return to your cell. You and Arc, both."

"...."
Lucas looked to Arc and flashed a crooked smile. "I know you only came to help, Arc. I suppose I should apologize for getting you into this mess...but it looks like you came here for nothing, eh?"

Glancing back to the general and his wall of soldiers, Lucas would take a deep breath and bend the smirk out of his lips. A strong, warm gust of wind would surround The Devil and the Angel as Lucas displayed dominance over the light. "That throne is MINE. The Council may have sworn me into power but they cannot so easily turn me away from my kingdom. My return will be inevitable. Tell your Council that they'll have to fight to keep me away...and that their convictions need be strong to crush me."

A vibrant burst of light would flash from beneath Arc and Lucas, a small but blinding portal opened by Lucas. The [Rainbow Gate] had once been used to combat the Prized Fighter Inferno many years ago and now it would be opened once more as a quick gateway to Earth.

With that a flash of light would shine from the gate and a streak of radiant energy would remain glowing on the ground. Anyone brave enough to follow after would have to navigate through the seven realms unscathed. However the gate would soon close and allow for Lucas and Arc to escape without a fight.

Heaven's King would abandon his throne this day. However his removal was not of his own will. Swearing to return and reclaim the throne, Lucas would escape to Earth...

Arc would keep close behind Lucas since he was the one that knew just where they were headed. When he saw the battalion of soldiers waiting for him he would start to prepare for yet another fight. "Well if I hadn't been here you may have been the one stuck in a cell needing to be broken out. So let's just call it even." It was at that moment a portal would open beneath him and Arc would have to take a leap of faith. Here's hoping I don't land on my head on the other side.

Location: St. Anne

Suddenly the doors to the throne room were thrust open and celestials swarmed inside quickly.

"FREEZE!"

They would shout if anyone was left inside of the room that Lucas's portal had opened in. If no one was there, then they would quickly fan out and search the room before proceeding through the rest of the building to apprehend the ex-kings companions.

Raven, Kira, and Wyndom's rooms were the closest, considering they were his personal Vanguards, and so they would start with Kira. His sturdy door was shattered apart with a violent display of angelic power. Although they knew he was supposedly out of town, it didn't hurt to check up on him. Plus someone else could have decided to swing by and pick something up, but that wasn't the case. It was deserted.

Next they would burst into Raven's room in a similar fashion, hoping to catch her off-guard at the close of their latest mission. However she seemed to not be around, either. Could Lucas have gotten off the warning to his comrades before vanishing to earth? It seemed more and more likely the further they progressed. Proceeding to the final Vanguard's room, a sharp blast of energy ruptured the door to Wyndom's room before they all crowded in...

"FREEZE!"

"You know...you could have at least checked the door first. It was unlocked..."

Wyndom sat in the corner of his study his eyes peering over the book in his hands to look at his un-welcomed company. He seemed a little bit too relaxed overall, as if he knew this was going to happen. Although that wouldn't be a stretch considering how obnoxious the angels had been in searching his comrades rooms. The biggest question though, was why hadn't Wyndom fled? Certainly the celestials wouldn't send in grunts to try and capture them - they knew how high-risk Lucas's Vanguards could be. So why risk staying in your room waiting to be overwhelmed?

Information.

The tables had flipped, and Wyndom was in the dark as to why, so he wanted to find out...

"Answer me this: Why are we being hunted down? What has Lucas ever done but strive for peace? We've fought by your side for years, so why the sudden hostility?"

Wyndom didn't appear to be leaving anytime soon, so hopefully the guards would relax a little bit, but he wasn't counting on that.

The obvious leader would sigh before taking a step forward. He would look over his shoulder at his men before looking back at Wyndom - connecting their gazes. "We were sent by the High Council to apprehend Lucas' Vanguard for trial and sentencing. You will be judged by a committee of your peers - guaranteeing a swift and fair trial. No harm will come to you before or during the trial, and if you all are proven innocent, nothing will happen to you after. Please come with us."

The group of 5 soldiers would spread out further in the room, with a mage hanging back by the doorway. "Let's not make this harder than it has to be, Wyndom." The officer would begin to step forward in order to intercept him with a pair of cuffs.

"Aye..sounds fair enough. What're we being tried for, though? I was under the impression that we were on a mission from the High Council in the first place..."

Wyndom remained relaxed, finally placing the book down on his lap as he used his peripherals to watch the guards fan out, keeping his main focus on the leader in front. He had no intention of going with them, but his information gathering had gotten off to a good start...hopefully he could squeeze a little bit more out of them before making a run for it.

He shifted his right foot back a little as he adjusted from his reading position to a more comfortable talking position. He made no move to rise and allow himself to be cuffed, though.

"That's not my duty. Once we reach the prison you will be briefed on the charges."

Circling about Wyndom, the officer would grab onto either arm in an attempt to pull them both behind him to cuff him. "For what it's worth - I'm sorry. It's my duty."

General Grants would approach behind the small unit of Angels, weapon sheathed just as his intentions were kept hidden. The General had just come from the Warriors Guild and was wishing to check up on Lucas and his Vanguards. After the fiasco with Aaron, Grants was left worried. Seeing the angels break into three rooms gave weight to Grants' concerns.

"Hold on. I was sent to question Lucas' Vanguards if they were still here. I'll take him off of your hands. Besides, you should focus on searching for Raven and Kira. Leave Wyndom to me."

Was he sent to question Wyndom? No. But did he have questions? Oh yes. Now if only these soldiers would listen to his white lie. Would they question a General of the warriors guild or would they stay true to their Council's order? After all it was true that Kira and Raven were missing.

Grants' gamble would either put Wyndom with him or it would put the wingless warrior in trouble.

Well..it looks like that was all the information he was gonna get. Now time to get out of here!

As the guard circled around behind him, Wyndom left a small smile on his face befo---

Dang!

Grants walked in on the situation, throwing Wyndom's previous plan out the window...he didn't like this 50/50 gamble, but starting a commotion now would force Grants to reveal his hand. His body tensed as the leader grabbed his arm and twisted it behind him. If Grant's words didn't work, Wyndom's fate would be sealed with the soft clink of the cuffs. Suddenly his idea to stay behind didn't seem like such a good one...

The leader gave a good long stare at Grants before pulling away from Wyndom and stuffing the cuffs back in a pouch. "Alright. I have things to attend to, though. My men will assist you."

While walking out of the room, the officer would exchange looks among the small squad that were now ordered to assist Grants with Wyndom. They, too, would step out of the room, though, and await them both outside - the mage still standing in front of the door.

Kain

Finally. He had made it back to the surface - back onto the streets of Heaven. What was odd, however, was that even though he just erupted out of the street with a Nidhogg - a creature no one here had ever seen - which left a massive hole in the street, no one was even around. No civies - Nothing. It was as if the whole place had become a ghost town.

Cautiously, Kain would gaze about - the slightest sound seeming to make the biggest echoes as he quickly made his way off the street and into cover of buildings. He had missed all that had happened up to this point, and he didn't know what might have managed to the people. Perhaps the Sins or whatever had won already? Perhaps it was a trap? The Rapture? God only knew as far as he was concerned. Did what happened to him earlier have something to do with this? The dream?

Running one of his hands through his hair, debris, dirt and dust would fall free and some of the dampness from the caves in his hair nearly soaked the glove. Coming up to a window, Kain would see no one inside - it looked like an empty store. Breaking in, Kain would grab some basic supplies - food, water and some meds to help his wounds.

Doing his best to patch himself up with the med supplies while stuffing some sort of twinky in his face, Kain would begin to rummage through some of the other stuff in the store. Towel? With a quick padding down of himself he would toss it aside. Overall, nothing truly -- Now that was more like it. Across the street was a store for armor, weapons, and also survival gear.

Quickly getting out of the one store and hustling across the street, once again Kain would use his Crystalline Pillar to smash through the window. After climbing in and looking around, Kain felt like he had died and gone to Heaven. ...Oh, wait.

Nevertheless, Kain would begin to book it down aisles like a fat kid in a candy store, and it was all free~

Or was it?

Rising from the waters of the lake in the forest near St. Anne, David's eyes darted back and forth, ensuring that they were alone. Walking along the surface of the water to the shore, the angel took a seat upon a nearby boulder, waiting for his makeshift companions to appear.

Kira would listen and watch David draw the circle, crossing his arms he would try to follow what was all going on, it was complex, more then what he was even gonna try to follow, magic portal's or things of that nature was something he didn't like, and he would go on to mention water.

"If it ain't ice it's water, and a portal, son of a bi- hm?" He would look over to Inferno once he mentioned water, at least he wasn't the only one, in some ways he can understand inferno's lack of taste for water, that wasn't the main issue, water is usually cold. 'Dammit, i hate cold...'

With a smile he would smack his hands onto his cheek's and stare at the portal, he knew one thing, hopefully this led to Lucas and company, come what may, he was gonna go for it. "Let's rock!" Running towards the portal, he would leap in behind the other's.

Falling out of the portal (please let there be ground) Kira would come out backwards and upside down as he rocket's to the ground below. "FFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUCCCCCCC----" THUDDDD! was heard as he landed head first onto the tough soil. Once the dust cleared David and inferno would see Kira's head planted firmly unto the ground as it was cracked around him, and they'd see him struggling to free himself pressing his arm's and legs against the ground, hopefully he'd free himself by the time they found their way.

"Yes...thank you."
Grants would watch the Angels walk out of the room but remain rather close by. this would make talking with Wyndom difficult. So looking to him with a stern gaze, Grants took a deep breath and crossed his arms.

"You're in big trouble you know. Guilty by association as it were..."
His voice would now lower and he'd step closer to Wyndom, "We need an army. I think I can handle that. But I need to get you out of here."

Aurora was walking down the street. She had previously, approximately fifteen minutes ago, woken from a long sleep with no recollection of anything about herself besides her name. Aurora.

When she awoke, she was in a dark room. not a single light shone from any source at all. She crawled through a small passageway coming to a big door with a shiny brass knob. The light on the other side was, at first, disorienting, but then revealed her surroundings. She was in a huge city wearing nothing but a short silky white nightgown and a necklace with the name Aurora elegantly scrawled in gold around her neck.

She decided to take a walk, not knowing a single thought about anyone she may have known previously or anything about where she could have come from. The streets seemed empty, without any trace of life. Where was everyone? where was anyone?

The more she walked, the more curious she got about things. further down the street she heard a loud sound. to her it sounded like glass braking into a million little pieces. She turns her head to the left and sees a figure by the front window of a little shop. She watches as the first person she has seen since waking up enters the building.

Feeling scared and alone, she decides to follow. She makes her way cautiously to them window, peering inside carefully. She climbs inside the shop, her bare feet stepping on some of the broken glass. She walks down an aisle, seeing the figure in front of her. the figure's back is facing her.

"Hello?" Aurora calls out quietly, hearing her own soft voice for the first time.
