"Okay.." Heidi was not leaving Jordan's side. Heck no. She drew back for a new arrow, one that sparked and built up with a shriek. The shrill scream of a banshee.
The little girl appeared again, her hair covering her face except for a pair of beady little glowing red eyes. Heidi gasped and released without even a second thought, the arrow embedding itself in the girl's forehead right between her eyes; unlike other arrows this one did not fade, not just yet, instead it continued to scream, its shrill shrieking mingling dissonantly with the girl's anguished cry of pain. Heidi winced. "Loud.."

"No-"
At the sudden, peircing scream, Wash grimaced.
"I think I heard her, though." God, he hoped the little wisp of a girl was alright. Why on Earth had they wanted to come here? He ducked out and under Tuck's axe to shear one of the dolls' legs off at mid-calf. It withered with a piteous whimper.
"I think I hear someone else, too."

Tuck used his axe to deflect a huge, shadowy looking doll that loomed closer. He was worried about Heidi, but didn't want to lose focus. His everything was starting to ache, and he wasn't sure how much longer he could last.

Wash couldn't help it - in spite of the gravity of the situation, or perhaps because of it - he let out a deep, loud laugh.
"You got that right," he responded, bifurcating another undead doll.
I'm ready when you are, Sally's voice whispered through his mind.

"Nice. She's loud," Jordan commented as Heidi's arrow screamed a shadowy, indistinct figure into oblivion. There was creepy giggling all around, and little doll-like figures flitted in and out of sight among the trees. Jordan couldn't quite track them. Natural enough, since they were probably hallucinations.
Another laugh sounded faintly through the forest, but this one didn't sound like creepy little dolls; it sounded more real, more human. Jordan's head jerked around. "I think I hear them," he told Heidi. "This way."
As he started to move towards the sound, a rain of little eyeless dolls came dropping out of the foliage overhead. They hit the ground with wet thumping noises, lay still for a second, then trembled all over, picked themselves up, and began toddling towards the hunters. Jordan grimaced and swung Ferros hard, sweeping through the mass of baby dolls. They disintegrated in the hammer's wake, and a second quick swing finished off the stragglers.
Ferros hissed with agitation, emitting a sense of demanding, overwhelming heat. Hang on to that, Jordan told him. We don't know what kind of shape the other guys are in. Aloud, he yelled, "Wash? Tuck?"

Oh! He was complimenting her! Heidi felt a swell of pride in her chest, holding up Matilda as if to show off the weapon like Jordan had never seen her before. "She is..er...was..a banshee. Comes with the territory, I guess~."
A laugh echoed through the trees and Heidi's head turned sharply toward it. That sounded like Wash. Was it real? "Okay." Heidi was quick to follow after Jordan, her bow lowered but ready to be used at a moment's notice.
Like when the dolls fell from the freakin' sky! Thankfully Jordan took care of it before she had to. "Thank you so much for coming," Heidi said with a sigh if relief, relaxing slightly beside him. She hoped Wash and Tuck were okay. Were they together? Please be together. Please be okay. She stopped when she spotted something in the distance, reaching out to put a hand on Jordan's arm and stop him from continuing on. "Wait.." Heidi squinted. Was that real? She saw glowing shapes, very small ones. "I think I see their weapons? Maybe? Over there?" Was that them?

"We're here, I'm.. You got Heidi?"
Tuck could hear someone through the din of dull drumming that throbbed in his ears.
"I ain't got much left in me, man," this was to Wash, though Tuck spoke loud enough for anyone else to hear. "This s**t is crazy. Heidi??!"

She heard her name called and she gasped with delight. "Jordan! They're over there!" Heidi tucked Matilda under one arm and cupped her hands around her mouth. "TUCK!"Heidi then grabbed Jordan's sleeve to lead him toward the glowing weapons and the sound of Tuck's voice. She could hear shifting, things moving, dolls clacking together in a breeze Heidi never felt, but she did her best to ignore it. Finally she found the two men and let go of Jordan, she wasted no time in throwing her arms around Tuck in a big hug. "You're okay! Oh thank god I'm so relieved!" Wash also received a hug until she heard a rustle nearby. She gasped and turned, holding Matilda ready to fire at any moment. "Jordan, this is Tuck and Wash. Tuck and Wash, this is Jordan. He came to help. Um...are you both okay? I think there's still something out there.."

Nothing jumped out at them on the way over; it made Jordan a little nervous, though he wasn't letting that show. When they found the others, Jordan nodded to them. "Nice to meet you," he said to Tuck. "Either of you critically low on shield, need a heal? Ferros is holding a charge and getting really impatient about it."

Prolixity Tuck has 8 HP, Wash has 25. Tuck grunted at the hug, though he wrapped his arms around Heidi. Thank God she was alright, this had certainly gotten awful real fast and he was just about ready to go home. "I ain't feelin' like myself at the moment," Tuck admitted wryly, content to simply hug Heidi for as long as she'd let him, "but I think I'll make it out alive if Wash needs a heal more'n I do. That ********' thing dead yet?" He hoped it was.

Heidi looked up at Tuck when he said he wasn't feeling himself. What did that mean? He just didn't feel well? Wash looked okay..but then she probably looked relatively okay too. She hugged Tuck tighter for a moment before she let him go, frowning up at him and then at Jordan.
"I think it's still out there..er...whatever it is.." She had one hand ready to draw back her bowstring and the other tightly held the Matilda's grip.

"Not feeling like yourself?" Jordan gave Tuck a worried look. "As in feeling banged up, or feeling like something or someone else?" The other man looked tired and scraped up, so Jordan was guessing that it was the former, but it didn't hurt to make sure. Ferros whined in his mind, a screeching, metallic sound that made him wince. Okay, I hear you, Jordan said, and raised the weapon, holding the hammer braced horizontally in front of him. "Hold still," he told Tuck. The red glow from the cracks that ran across the lower half of the hammer's head brightened; then a cloud of steam hissed from the vents. It coiled like a living thing, then darted straight for Tuck, enveloping him in a warm, soothing haze before it evaporated again. HP: 30/60 Target: Tuck Healed for: 16 Charge: 0/3

Wash's eyes had widened a little, but he nodded to the new hunter. "Jordan. Hey. We've met," he added to Heidi.
"I still got a 'lil juice in me," he commented before swinging out into the shadows again.
The dolls didn't seem to be affected much by his offense, however, and were more than happy to use the opening to set their clawed hands into him again.
"This place is-" he stopped, grunting with pain, "beyond creepy," he finished. He shoved one of the weird monstrosities off him, scuttling backward.
