Name: Rakshasamardini
Meaning (if any): Destroyer of Demons

Personality
Competitive would be an understatement. Rak doesnt compete with others though, she competes with herself. She firmly believes that there is no such thing as perfection, that every thing and every one has it's faults and flaws, but at the same time she believes that if one is blessed with the ability to do something then they should try to do it to the best of their ability. This gives her an unending curiosity and quest to learn.

Prompt Response
Rak stumbled about on unsteady legs, deep in thought as she pondered and contemplated. She never thought much of her biological parents arrangement - It was not something for her to question. But it had left her in a predicament. She had two herds that she could join, a place guaranteed in each one. How could she choose just one though? There were many opportunities to learn in both, in many fields and professions. Rak paused and snorted. She knew she would never be able to truly align herself with one herd or another. Her love and alliance should not favor any one herd - it should be shared equally. Just as equally, she knew, she should share her abilities and knowledge. Most would consider such a decision as her choosing not to be a part of either. She on the other hand saw it as an opportunity to have freedom to come and go, to be a part of both equally and without guilt or ill feelings. After all, it would be bad karma to show favoritism.

Plots
o Knowledge of peace - Being ever in her quest to learn and hone abilities, Rak will seek out teachers, both in her family herds and from outsiders, to teach her about peaceful abilities that she may be able to do such as healing, gathering, and babysitting.
o Knowledge of war - As before, Rack will seek out many teachers, but this time to teach her about the arts of war such as offensive attack, defensive retaliation, and when each should be used.
o Failure - With such a competitive nature towards herself Rak will have to encounter several situations where she is unable to learn a profession. Through repetitive 'failure' she will have to come to terms with the fact that she can not do everything.
o At your service - Rak, ever learning and honing her abilities will seek out both herds on a regular basis to offer her services, to pass on her knowledge, and to practice any new skills she has learned.

Name: Sahaja's Reverie
Meaning (if any): If my research is correct, Sahaja means 'spontaneous/natural' and is recognized as 'the last achievement of all thought'. Reverie means to be lost in thought; dreamy.

Personality
Temper: Enduring
During her youth, Sahaja will be known for her soft-spoken and bashful 'hold my hand' demeanor. Family matters dearly to her, and while she is eager to please, the greatest hurdle she'll have to face is her own self doubts. Admittedly, Sahaja feels much like an instrument with frayed strings as she stumbles to prove her place among such a dutiful and eccentric family. Reflecting her name, Sahaja will be pestered to 'act natural' by youths of the outside world, and inadvertently feels embarrassed by her unorthodox heritage. Through this, instead of finding herself and blossoming into a soundly rhapsody, she stumbles under a choked reverie, unable to decide on what lifestyle best pleases everyone. After her adolescent experiences, Sahaja returns to her family with an abundance of confidence and grace, finally realizing and accepting the harmony and love that was there all along.

Prompt Response 2
"Mama, wait for me!" Scrawny legs buckled as the filly leaped forward to catch up, instantly leaning into her mother's comforting frame as they walked. Tonight was to be a special night for Sahaja and her siblings; a festival! And even with night closing in, one could easily see the glow of excitement in the young daughter's face. Everyone in the herd was with them, a giant mass of bodies and faces that she was still growing familiar with. Among them, she noticed a smaller form darting ahead. "R-romeo! Stay close!" A pout almost graced her lips when she was ignored, but it was soon forgotten as they approached the river. And what an amazing sight it was, shimmering with lights! A rustle of feathers, and Sahaja peered to her side to find Payton trotting towards them. "Papa! What is going on?" Sahaja and her siblings leaned in close, their minds eager as they listened in on the tradition of the floating bowls. And as they were given the chance to scoot their own bowls onto the water's edge, the siblings glanced at one another with a knowing smile. Then, with permission from their parents, they ran to the pile of leftover bowls. "Which one do you think Ty-Ty will like?" In the end, they chose a wide-leafed bowl with smoothed edges as the perfect candidate to represent their father Tybalt while he was away. Next time they’d definitely have to drag him along to this festival! Without hesitation, the children cast the bowl into the water, cheering as the bowls followed one another down the river. It was a memory Sahaja would hold dear. Like the bowls in the water, her family would endure and glide across any current, carefree and content in each other's company.

Plots
o There Are Always Strings Attached.
Coming from two families that cherish love of all kinds should be an uplifting lifestyle, right? Despite this, Sahaja will come to realize the complications that tie into loving another individual. For this plot, I imagine Sahaja developing a short-lived and secret crush for her second father, Payton. Charmed by his kindness and beauty, it doesn't take long for Sahaja to grow confused about her beloved family unit. It is then that she'll seek out her mother for words of wisdom, and discover that while love is unconditional, it is also a devotion that takes time and wisdom to understand.

o Those Are Some Sick Beats, Little One.
While Sahaja lacks the confidence and vocal training to join the singers of the herd, she will find that she thrives beautifully in poetry. And who doesn't enjoy a good story with a melodious nature? For this plot, I would love to hone in Sahaja's discovery of this talent through Poetry Competitions among other herd members and outsiders...almost like a rap battle! Remarkably, it's her shy words that shine through when asked to strike a tune. These small bursts of enthusiasm and engaging in friendly banter will help her confidence grow as she ages.

o Please Don't Cry, You'll Make Me Cry Too.
This plot will take place when Sahaja strays from home, thinking that the grass is greener in the outside world. After realizing how harsh, and at times selfish, it is to venture as a worldly rogue, Sahaja finds herself in despair. She failed to see she was already living in a paradise with her family, tricked to leave by the honeyed words of strangers. Here she will cross paths with Nahanni, who helps her see that it's alright to be meek without suffering. The world is what you make it, so clear your mind before it's too late.

o Open Your Mind To Free Your Heart.
This plot will ultimately run in two parts. The first involves Sahaja returning to the Hokee herd after drifting away in her adolescence. It is here that she further opens her mind to happiness, viewing the sacrifices and enduring love that the members share. The second part will be Sahaja's resolve to return to the Padmapani, but to do so she feels obligated to be strong of body as of mind. To obtain strength, she will spend time among a human tribe, learning to be a fit, dependable mare worthy of protecting her family in case Samsara ever returns.

o The Lotus and The Lily Pad
Upon reaching maturity, Sahaja will have bloomed into a graceful mare. But her road was a bumpy one, and she has grown to read these symptoms not only in herself, but in others as well. Here, Sahaja will establish her role in the two herds as a councelor, vowing to help others overcome small trials in their lives. While meditations will be key in her interactions, she will also travel with those she helps. In some cases, seeing is believing, and Sahaja would not withhold such experiences from others who wish to improve themselves.

S'okay, Ny, I'll let it slide considering I was away tonight.

First of all, guys, I want to say that both Deri and I are so sorry it took so long to judge this contest. Deri's been dealing with many RL things but I was recently in contact with her and she has complete trust in my ability to choose a winner.

Despite that fact, however, I did bring in a few judges to help, as all of the entries are amazing and both of us are honoured you guys all entered to be part of the family.

All of that being said, you guys, rofl, I swear if I could let you all into the family, so many people would be walking away with baskets. How many entered? About thirty? Yeah, you guys rock socks. <3

I will definitely be keeping many people in mind should Deri and I chance to enter into a Wishing Star contest in the future that will allow those that have a different lifemate to enter in to receive extra children. :D

All that being said, we would love to welcome...
