I Know How This Dance Ends!Username: mewmew kittykat94 Basket's Name: Ambitus Amachi Meaning?: The range, or the distance between the highest and lowest note, mainly for Gregorian chants... literally meaning "the going round" in Latin or the "course" in Medieval Latin. [x] Personality: In general, he can be described as easy going and supportive to all who need it. Very much a mediator at heart, he strives to find peace between those he cares about, trying to make the distance between those in disagreement "perfect" in the hopes of finding a middle ground. He does has his excitable moments, especially when he does solve a conflict, but in general, he's quiet, observing and learning. He does have a small habit of wandering off on his own little adventures, not far from his family, but far enough that he can just listen to nature or even singing softly to himself in the sunlight. He doesn't have much desire to leave his family though.
Future Plot Ideas?: - Meeting the family: He's heard on how large the family is, and he truly hopes to meet all he can! He hopes to be very close with his siblings, especially Claves and Timpani. One challenge for his childhood would be to figure out why Claves has set herself apart... This may last for a long while though!
- Fighting? Let me help!: At times, he can be seen as a little bit nosy. As a foal, he'd come across two strangers arguing and he'd try to help! Now this could either end up with him getting chewed out for interrupting or hopefully him being able to solve the conflict. This would help inspire him to really become a moderator and try to help those with their problems.
- A song in my heart: He won't be looking when he stumbles across his one true love. He needs a companion with having set himself apart quite a bit. Finding her, she may have a dilemma he can't quite figure out and decides to stay with her to solve it... and over time, feelings grow and all that good stuff! Even when he found his mate, he would still be close with his family and would visit often... they mean the world to him.

I Know How This Dance Ends! Username: Cricket2008 Basket's Name: Timbre Meaning?: Tone color, quality of sound that distinguishes one verse or instrument to another. It is determined by the harmonies of sound.
Personality: For him, the world is full of 'beautiful noise'. Whether it be chirping crickets or warbling birds, the sounds fascinate him. Everything spurs him to dancing. He can rarely be perfectly still. If his hoof isn't tapping, then his tail will be swishing to something that he hears as musical. To someone else, it may just be noise.
He's family-oriented and is always interested in what the others are doing. He'll be a protective brother. The depth of his character will come out through RP.
Future Plot Ideas?: He's family-oriented so I'd like to see him eventually meet and interact with all his family members. Since this would entail some traveling, mishaps along the way would be interesting.

I Know How This Dance Ends! Username: Junglerunner Basket's Name: Virtuoso Amachi Meaning?: Performing with exceptional ability, technique, or artistry. Personality: Temper: Fastidious.
Virtuoso lives up to his name sake, not musically due to his disability, but in every other sense; that whatever task he sets himself to do, or others ask of him, he does it with the greatest amount of skill and talent. From a young age Virtuoso acknowledges the fact that his family generally seem to have a talent in some sort of performing art, whether that be music or dance, and he finds he has little natural aptitude for such things, mainly due to the fact that he suffers from congenital amusia, or 'beat deafness'. He can pick up the difference in pitch, however he can't pick up rhythm within any piece of music, of course making it impossible to dance in any form and whilst he can sing in tune, the complexities of understanding the need for rhythm is lost on him.
The desire to sing or dance doesn't reside in Virtuoso anyhow, for he sees no practical gain in spending so much time learning such 'talents'. He is 'academically' very bright, which is balanced out by the fact he isn't physically nor practically skilled as the strongest stallion in a herd, far from it. Basically he could be described as a 'geek', though he is not shy nor modest about his level of intelligence and will often belittle others to demonstrate that he holds himself personally a level above others. He is not a not a patient creature and will only tolerate being questioned once, if upon answering the question he sees the recipient has not understood in the slightest he will not attempt to carry on, though if continually pressured for an explanation he'll give the most complex though correct answer and then refuse to answer further questions, even upon a different topic, deeming that Soquili as stupid.
He comes across has a rather aloof character upon first, second and perhaps even the third meeting, if not more, but those that bare with him and see past it all will generally make themselves a very good friend, as underneath it all Virtuoso does have a heart and really doesn't enjoy offending those he loves and holds dear to him, though it often seems otherwise at first glance.
Future Plot Ideas?:
I have a few general ideas: I know the family has presently all divided, though of course I'd like to imagine the foals will stick around the forest area Rondel and Crescendo call home at present. I'd like for Virtuoso to have some interaction with Clef; she is a guardian of the forest and I'd like for Virtuoso to learn the importance of caring for the forest. This of course develops when he's old enough to branch out and do a little travelling, close by with the Vanaras is of course Pachelbel and I'd like for him to get to know his older brother. Also it's important now that Virtuoso spends time with the Vanaras learning of their love of the forest. Further on from that I'd like for him to meet his wider family, to travel to the Uunule Noyi desert and get to know his family which make up the Amachi traders, after all he bares their name. It is during his time with the desert dwelling side of his family that he meets the Gobiidae Sarab and an idea forms, he will trade in seeds, bringing more resilient species of plants from the south to the oasis springs to help support the life there.
The above of course is a very rough guess at things, but I hope it gives you a feel of a possible direction I was thinking of taking for him. For whilst I love the idea of trying to get the Alliance herd (the flew family etc) to help with the skinwalker problem within the forest and around Vanaras herd lands, Virtuoso's character just doesn't fit. But on that note, if that's a plot you've not considered feel free to develop such an idea, also if you ever want plotting for the Alliance herd etc, I'm happy to plot the Imladris (neighbours to Vanaras) into any plots needing healers.

I Know How This Dance Ends! Username: Nikkichomp Basket's Name: Vivace Meaning?: Musical tempo meaning "lively" and "vivid" Personality: Temper: Vibrant.
Just as his name implies, Vivace is lively, spirited, and excitable. He is efficient & capable, always moving at top speed. However, his speediness can cause careless mistakes & inadvertent thoughtlessness. He is genuinely good-hearted, and when he realizes that he has hurt someone's feelings, he does his best to make it up to them somehow.
His excitability can cause his emotions to flare easily, but just as he gets mad or sad quickly, he also gets over it before very long.
Vivace can be easily bored, and often has multiple activities or obligations happening at once. When he finds something he is interested in, or something he enjoys greatly, he will focus on that thing intently, sometimes for a long period of time.
Future Plot Ideas?: *Vivace's unintentional thoughtlessness gets the better of him, and he hurts the feelings of someone close to him very badly. This should be a situation where he has to work very hard to repair things - perhaps even only be able to repair them partway. This will be a lesson to him that sometimes it is worthwhile to take a deep breath and slow down.
*Mate-wise, he will need someone who can be steady and consistent - he needs an anchor to keep him grounded.

I Know How This Dance Ends! Username: Thalea Basket's Name: Johann Cadenza Amachi Meaning?: Johann = Johann Sebastian Bach; Cadenza = an improvised or written-out ornamental passage played or sung by a soloist or soloists, usually in a "free" rhythmic style, and often allowing for virtuosic display Personality: Temper: Melodic Johann is a slight perfectionist, he wants all his music to sound good and bring out emotion in those who listen to it, but the problem is he does not know what type of music suits him best. His voice is melodious and has a knack for creating music; he finds himself humming to imagined tunes and sways to the music within his head, but he is a terrible dancer, one would say he looked like a spastic bobcat chasing its tail, not a lovely sight. Johann is a kind soul, who is considerate of others, but hard on himself, for it is the perfectionist in him that wants what he does to sound great and be great.
He loves nature and sits in silence for hours listening to the natural music of nature; its soft beautiful melody calms him and provides him inspiration for his own masterpieces. Because of his long meditations in nature, he is not a brash male; he takes his time and does not rush. There is no rushing in music, to be perfect is to hear the tune and flow with it on the wind.
Beauty inspires him, and since he is able to see beauty all around him, he is never for a lack of muse. Songs always fill his head and sometimes he even speaks in songs.
Future Plot Ideas?:
♪♫ Rhythm of Life:Johann has discovered his love of composing music, but cannot get the song he likes just right. Some of his family members will help him get over his first composing hump and create a masterpiece.
♪♫ Colors of the Wind: Johann discovers the beauty of nature and spends hours out in the woods listening to the trees and the wind. While standing there amongst the beauty he meets a fellow soul who loves the natural spirit of music amid the trees.
♪♫ We are Family: The siblings come together and get into some mischief like all foals do and perhaps make some music or do something creative.
♪♫ I’m Not Calling You a Liar: Johann comes across a soquili who tells magnificent tales of faraway lands that seem hard to believe.
--Adult--
♪♫ Fallen: Something terrible has happened, Johann no longer is able to make music. The songs in his head are silent or sullen, it is like he can no longer see the beauty in the world. He meets a mare who ignites the fire in his heart and helps him see the beauty around him again.
♪♫ Muse The same mare who helped him in the previous plot will become his life muse, they will travel and compose music together.

I Know How This Dance Ends! Username: Zactura. Basket's Name: Stretto Amachi. Meaning?: Stretto ; Pertaining to the fugue, the overlapping of the same theme or motif by two or more voices a few beats apart. Personality: Exuberant ; Stretto moves at a pace slightly quicker than most. He tends to get ahead of himself all the time, cutting himself off in the middle of a sentence or just entirely getting distracted by something else. When he's young, this will happen far more often than not; at first, it will frustrate him to no end. He'll have a lifelong attachment to music, at first imagining entire symphonies at once, but lacking the skill to perform them. He'd be an odd mix of grumbly and hyperactive as a foal, stuck between wonder at the world around him and irritation at his seeming inability to pull himself together for longer than five minutes. As he gets older, he'll slowly learn how to get all of his thoughts in a line, moving one after the other in synergy--he'll call this his music, and it'll also help him bring out what he's written in his head, gradually learning how to keep it flowing. He adores practicing, and when he's focusing on his music, it's one of the few times he can actually keep his attention on one thing. While Stretto doesn't necessarily have an absolutely astounding musical ability, he's got more than enough passion to make up for it, and that passion isn't exclusive to his music--it bleeds into everything he does, which is not always such a good thing. He is entirely willing to put his all into another person, and that has the potential to backfire and wound him deeply, especially when his overall fragility is pulled into play.
On the flip side, Stretto is self-conscious, easily hurt, honestly annoying on his worse days, oblivious, and far too quick to frustrate. His patience is short for most things, and his lack of a consistent attention span can limit what he can handle; even if he'll pick up as many projects as possible in an attempt to immerse himself in all the beautiful things he can find. His self-consciousness stems from his early lack of focus, and the stutter he has doesn't help this at all. To his relief, he can sing just fine, but if he starts talking too fast, it can honestly be a messy train wreck--the exception to this is when he's got his 'music' rolling, and that's when he can actually manage. The fact that he pours his heart and soul all over the damn place means that he can both be easily manipulated, and his heart can be broken without much effort if you do it right. Stretto can frequently (and sometimes purposefully) miss even the most obvious of hints, including those that are rather important for him to actually pick up on.
He greets strangers with an open heart and open arms, not entirely aware that not every one of them means well. Stretto is a very good host and is incredibly hospitable, bending over backwards to ensure that 'all the players in his orchestra are in tune'. To him, anyone and everyone brings a new note to the table, and together, each note blends to create a harmony unique and entirely new. Even old friends make new music together, and he is enchanted by this thought; as a result, he tends to be very insistent on getting his friends to meet new people or even rediscover childhood friends long forgotten. Of course, he'll want to be there for the meeting or reunion. How else could he watch the magic happen? He doesn't mean anything ill by it; he just...wants to see how everything weaves together. His love for meeting anyone and everyone also means that he has a tendency to fall head over heels for all sorts of people, adoring each individual in their own way for their uniqueness and beauty. Stretto himself isn't a vain creature, but he firmly believes that everyone else is absolutely gorgeous, and will not hesitate to tell you as such. Repeatedly. On that note, he is also convinced that everyone has good within them, even if they don't wear it on the outside. He hasn't been proven wrong yet, and this is likely due to the fact that he is where he is.
Overall, while he can be a rather frustrating individual, Stretto has his heart in the right place--even if it's in about twenty different ones. He means well, and will almost always put the good of his friends and family before himself, much preferring to make them happy instead. He tries his best to keep up with his siblings, and will do everything in his power to get along with them, being that there is nothing more important to him than his family. Even music takes a back seat to them, being that he's convinced that they will always be there for him--and he'll do the same for them every time he's able.
Future Plot Ideas?: While young, it would probably do Stretto all sorts of good to find something he can do. He'd very likely stick with Clef for his youth, plunging as deep into the woods as he can safely manage without a second thought. It would serve as both inspiration and a playground for him to compose and frolic (because that's really the only appropriate word for what Stretto does. he doesn't really walk so much as he bounces.) around, letting his overly-active imagination run wild. These jaunts will later shape his music into something bright and verdant, echoing the forms of the woods as best as he can manage. He'd grow very fond of Clef, and would probably give staying in the woods a good, solid thought at least once.
Stretto will wind up having his heart broken a few times, mostly due to his own fault. While he'll mope for a while, this will add another layer to his songs, and when he gets over it, it'll also drive him to find what he'll consider his perfect melody--known to everybody else as the love of his life.
As he grows up, he'll be pushing himself harder and harder to make his 'music' instead of scrambling from this to that. He's going to be asking his family for advice during this stage, taking their suggestions to heart as he goes about finding his missing staff that he believes will make everything so much clearer. He could either be disappointed that no magical missing staff exists, or he could believe that he found it and push himself to getting his focus together. If he's disappointed, he'll come to realize that he shouldn't have been looking for it among the grass and the trees in the first place, and that he was the only one who could affect that--this will boost his self-confidence a fair bit, even if he's still going to be just slightly touchy on that matter. The missing staff could be anything, really; from a particularly beautiful piece of music to another soquili, or maybe even a star in the night sky. With Stretto, there isn't really a limit placed on that.
After Stretto grows up, he'll decide to temporarily leave the herd, striking out on his own to bring back more songs and rhythms from distant places to enrich and enliven what his family has cultivated back home. This will help him develop into the adult he's going to be, and even though it'll pain him to be away from his family for so long, he'll tell himself that it's a good thing. In the end, it will be, even if there's hardships along the way.
When he'd wander away from the herd, I have no doubt that he'd meed some less than pleasant soquili, and would probably get in a few one-sided fights. He'll continue his optimistic view of 'everything is good on the inside' for as long as possible, but he'd wind up mostly losing that after winding up severely injured. He'd do his best to limp back to the herd, a good deal wiser, but perhaps he could also find a new friend to nurse him back to health--with a new dose of skepticism that he'll feel so bad about having.
Aaaand maybe one day he'll manage to smother his stutter. Unlikely, but he can dream.

I Know How This Dance Ends! Username: vballlvr5 Basket's Name: Carillon Amachi Meaning?: A carillon is a musical instrument that is typically housed in the bell tower of a church or other municipal building. The instrument consists of at least 23 cast bronze, cup-shaped bells, which are serially played to produce a melody, or sounded together to play a chord. A traditional manual carillon is played using a keyboard in the same way that a piano is played. The carillon is the heaviest of all extant musical instruments.
Personality: Carillon does not sing. Nor does he speak frequently. He is quiet and walks smoothly as though he hovers above the ground. His presence is often overlooked or ignored because of the way he holds himself – he shrinks into the background to avoid being drawn into a conversation. Despite this action his form is not diminished – that is he does not appear the weaker for it. Those who do not know him well may describe him as brooding or moody, but he is not antisocial or morose. Rather, he is keenly observant. He enjoys watching the bodies of other soquili flow past him to blend and swirl into one another. This interaction is what inspires his musical creations.
In his music Carillon predominately uses metal and wood to gain the effects he most desires. He finds the ringing and reverberations of metal to be mysteriously alluring and flexible. The resounding thud of wood is stabilizing and provides a heavy base to his compositions. On that platform he builds with metals and other woods (perhaps snapping twigs or the knock of a hollow trunk). His works usually result in something quite loud. He prefers it this way because he views music not as merely a performance or a jewel only for the wealthy. He sees it as the backdrop to life and it weaves its way through nature.
For the most part Carillon will go alone into the woods to play his music. This is both because that is where a wider variety of trees can be found and because he prefers solitude while he spins out the notes. He believes that music can more readily be absorbed into someone’s bloodstream if they cannot see the source, thus giving the sound a mystical air. For this reason he also does not “perform.” At times he will play for his siblings, but this occurs mostly when he is extremely eager about a piece and is seeking approval or reassurance.
He is very close to his siblings and they are some of the few that hear his gravelly voice. With them he enjoys to discuss different musical instruments and the way in which music appears in nature. He finds it utterly fascinating the way in which the wind blows and the other animals join it in song.
Carillon also enjoys dancing. When he is alone in the woods running from chime to chime, bell to bell, and trunk to trunk in order to achieve a melodic chain of sounds he will prance and smile to himself. If anyone saw him they would think he was trying to evade a wasp because he does not dance with grace. Instead he leaps and bounds with the rhythm. Stomping his hooves upon the earthen floor he adds a pounding thrum to his music. No piece is complete without the sweat that drips off his forehead as he pounds his way through the songs.
Future Plot Ideas?: ~What are you doing? A stranger finds Carillon as he dances from tree to tree as he creates a new song. His movements are peculiar, and at times rough, but not manipulated which can appear odd. The stranger questions what he is doing. Though he is reluctant to respond he attempts to explain the way in which the music moves him. ~Why so silent? Someone confronts Carillon about his semi-mutism. Whether he becomes more vocal after this interaction will depend on the other soquili involved and their effect on him. ~A Little Voice to Speak With Carillon meets a quiet soquili who draws him into conversation. The companionship is nice for Carillon who at times feels lonely, though he knows that it is his own fault. At this point Carillon will become more vocal – perhaps he will share his gentle singing voice with this new found friend (though his speaking voice is rocky his singing voice is deep and smokey and softer). ~Family RP! Carillon will be very close with his siblings and so I’d love family RP with them. ~How many are there? Carillon realizes he has a very large extended family and begins to look for some of them because he wishes for more contact and interaction.

I Know How This Dance Ends! Username: Lunadriel Basket's Name: Adagietto Sonare Amachi Meaning?: Sonare is latin for sonata, which in music, literally means a piece played. Adagietto is a rather slow tempo. Personality: Adagietto Sonare, will have a love for music from the first time it hits his ears. At anytime, you will see him focusing and deeply listening to the world around him. From early on, he will begin to hear the music of life itself. The trees have their own song, for those that can listen to it! As do all things in the world. He is also of the rare few, that can see certain colors when he hears music, depending on the mood they portray. If he hears a soft lullaby, being sung by a mother to her child, he will tell you the song is a calming light blue. Future Plot Ideas?:
The Lost Song: For some reason, Adagietto cannot sing and make his voice cooperate! This will lead him to be very frustrated. Musical talent is in his DNA. So why can't he sing? He will seek out lesson after lesson. But, keeping beat or tempo will not seem to be a problem at all. No amount of lessons will pacify him though. The odd thing is, he sounds fine to others. To him, the song just isn't right. The criticism will manifest itself in other ways, later on down the road. It will have purpose!
The Nightingale: Adagietto will meet a fair lady of the wood, who sings with a rock n' roll style. Her voice will talk more than sing. This will cause Adagietto to twitch and writhe. It will be his nails on the chalk board. He will approach her and forget all learned manners, more than insulting her for her style of so called singing. The meet will end with a swift smack to his face from her wing, before she flits off into the night. Oh how he'll feel like a jerk. He'll start practicing better ways to critique others works when it comes to music. He will learn that criticism to others, needs to be dealt after you exchange names, and perhaps give a compliment to their style first. It helps to soften the blow. And not everyone will accept his opinion, no matter how nice he is before hand. Some prefer the wit of a friend, to the wit of a stranger.
The Nightingale That Never Fails: As fate would have it, Adagi will meet the mare he insulted that night long ago, once again. Before she has the chance to take her leave, he will apologize with deep sincerity. After, he will try to explain his motives, yet not make excuses for his actions. He was wrong to insult her style. Lucky for him, she will be very accepting of his apology. She will then learn that he hears a beauty in her voice, that he believes can be harnessed through song. One that he can almost imagine, in shades of warm burnt orange. To his surprise, she will ask him how he intends to get her to sing the way he imagines. This will perplex him, and intrigue him. How indeed?
Teacher, Compose-her The composer is born! Adagietto will work day and night, devising songs and lyrics for the Nightingale. Each time he meets her, to try and help her, he will light up with enthusiasm. All those years of built up criticism for his own voice, were because he needed to think out ways to hit the perfect harmony and balance of tones. With the help of the ever receiving mare with the voice, he will teach her to sing to the stars. His very first song, will be wrote for her, and sung by her. <3
To The Tune of Family Adagietto's inspiration will continue. His greatest legacy, will be the song he composes for his family. Their forest home where he grew up, will be his biggest inspiration. Elements from each member of the family, will be intertwined into this melody. He will even have a dancing solo for his eldest brother, Pachelbel. The Nitengale from previous plots, will offer services of some of her family members, who are skilled with various instruments. The song, once complete, will be gifted and performed for his parents. He will even try to invite the Amachi family, that Del hasn't seen for sometime. It will allow him to meet any that can attend! (Would make this an ORP for anyone on both sides of the family.)
Traveling Song Having his heart full of music, Adagietto will want to seek out like minds, with a love for music. Traveling across the Kawani lands, he will diverse himself into various forms of music, from drum circles, to acapella groups. Perhaps it will give him a chance to meet more of his family, though that would just be a bonus, and not his original intentions. This might open him up to the possibility of finding someone of romantic interest. The Nightengale could bloom into a romantic interest, after being he's been apart from her! He could grow a special love for that first song. <3
The Stars of Yesterday Growing homesick, Adagietto will make a return trip to the area where he grew up. This will give him a chance to tell his parents and his siblings, of all his findings while traveling. Oh the stories he'll have to tell! Maybe he'll bring a lady home to meet them. ^.~
And much, much, more!
Thank you kindly for this chance! I've been wanting to get into the Amachi family for a long while. =D
