She growled ferally at Rep, "The only thing of theirs that I'm attacking is you. Because I need you to make ******** sense."

He refused to believe she could beat him, even without Tracey however, and flat out defied her to try. When her shield went down, he was intent he would make her regret ever trying.
This time he swung a punch as hard as he could. "Swinging an axe in someone's ******** ROOM."
He was mortally terrified she might hit the laptop, he would sooner die than let her.

Byr flashed several unusual colours before Rin readied to swing him down on Rep, but he moved, the attack was immediately squelched under the threat of destruction. Unlike Rep, Rin was capable of restraint and not causing massive damage, especially when it was undesirable.

Rep was oblivious to his luck in dodging the charge, too used to charges being impossible to hold back or resist. He'd have been impressed with her sheer self control if he had any idea. Instead he was still desperately trying to keep her backed up and away from the room at large.
He swung again, frustrated by the stern resistance of her fear shield, all the while hoping he could somehow ******** knock her out.
He hated exes.

Rin swung Byr again, hard against Rep's side. Even weakened, Rep was a tough opponent. Se felt the need to point this out, "Strong as always."

"Don't think you can ******** soften me up with flattery" he snarled, rankling at the pride he felt at the compliment. Twisting it he reminded himself he'd be a lot ******** stronger if he could summon, if he could get a bite at her.

Backing up away from the axe, he rattled his side off of the corner of a table and yelped, not out of concern for himself but the furniture instead.

"Takes a lot more than that to make you soft," Yup, that was an innuendo. Enjoy that, Rep. She was about to dive in for another swing but stopped short at the yelp, and the table. "You do know you're their most valuable possession, right? Not... that." She gestured at the table with Byr, but clearly held no intent for the furniture. Rep was too close to proceed. She wanted to make him listen, not hurt him.

Rep was almost startled out of his desperate attempt to take Rin out by the innuendo, blinking once as it seemed to dawn on him before narrowing his eyes at her. "Last ******** thing I need to remember is ******** sex as related to you. "
As she gestured at the table, he almost jumped out of his skin, leaping at her again. "I'm no being responsible for breaking MORE s**t." He'd been doing relatively well since he donned the Life emblem and the idea of being set back again was chilling. The desperation didn't stop him from trying to whittle down her shield, overpower her so he could FORCE her to leave.

Exactly, Rep. That was the point. Not ******** up s**t. Just. making. You.. CRACK! Byr was swung hard against Rep's shield. So hard there was a tangible force behind it. Enough Rin could swear she could taste it. She stared at Rep, rough edges of feral showing through.

Rep reeled at the blow, dropping to his knees for just a moment and giving Rin an almost fearful, doubtful look.
But he didn't.
Instead he just got to his feet and swung at her again, slowly getting more and more out of breath.

Rin took the hit. Watching Rep as he came at her with a swing again. He had gotten so much stronger since last time. It made her smile, a sweet and subtle smile that was nothing but genuine. But it was fleeting and she soon found it replaced with a huff for breath and another swing and crash of Byr against fear. The jackalope hungrily reached out, consuming all in its path.
The eyesockets began to glow a familiar green light that slowly bled into runes.

This time Rep spotted the runic glow and panicked, his attacks growing all the more desperate and fervent as he tried to prevent her from using a charge anywhere near the room.

The light of the runes grew brighter and then slid up the handle and enveloped Rin slowly, recovering her fear shield in an all-too familiar ability. She was renewed and refreshed, the stench of mint lingered in the air. She was no longer huffing.

Good. It was only a heal. He could still whittle it down, there was still hope he could ******** win.
He was getting worn out though, stress and close quarters fighting were not good bedfellows. His blows seemed to be getting weaker as his knuckles stung.

Rin rounded on him with renewed strength and vigor, suddenly Byr's blows felt more heavier and rattling than Rin remembered. Was Rep getting close?
