1-10: You run into a flying horse creature, causing the helicopter to explode, killing everyone. 11-30: Something dives into your path, while you manage to dodge it, someone becomes unseated and falls to their death. (roll d10's, lowest roll dies) 31-60: Something attacks the copter causing 5 damage! 61-80: The copter attracts the attention of all the island's creatures (pvp open to any creature that flies) 81-100: The copter manages to go some distance before it malfunctions and goes down. It lands safely in the water and a nearby ship comes to your rescue. The rescuers are strange people in white coats with gold trim.
With a bit of coaching and some reminders the Helicopter soon took to the skies with everyone on board that wanted to be. Unfortunately a gargoyle swooped in and clawed at the side before flying off to cause some sort of other mischief.
Nadya flinched a bit as her fingertips gripped the controls a bit more tightly.

A rope ladder swings down from the helicopter! If you were one of the unfortunates left behind, you can run to catch it! Here is how:
Roll 1d100: if you roll 50 or above you succeed! If you roll less than 50 you fail and lose 10hp! If you succeed, then your character is able to get up- on the ladder and have a chance of making it out, however should the pilot roll 11-30, your character will be the one to drop! This is what happens when you you crowd a dangerous vehicle ok!
Myoukin
Helicopter can only fit 5! So to add a sixth you need to roll for this ok?

Wayra muttered thanks profusely as she boarded the helicopter. Maybe fortune hadn't forsaken her yet! "I've ridden in a helicopter a few times when we had to medivac animals to and from my zoo, so I may be able to assist with piloting if necessary", she offered as she took a seat gratefully.
Finally getting a moment to rest, Wayra applied some more ointment to the shoulder wound that had opened up in her mad dash to the chopper. "Does anyone else need some?", she asked, holding out the tube containing the last bit of polysporin in her possession.
Wayra made a dash for the rope that came dangling lose from the helicopter, letting out a cry as she reached out.
Wayra nearly cried as the rope dangled just out of her reach and she landed on the ground with a hard thud. Staggering to her feet, she steadied herself to try again.
She felt horrible. They had missed someone but she had also been under the impression that everyone was there that wanted to be, forget passenger limits, they could always seat someone on a lap. Everyone could live and be happy and...
The helicopter successfully started to fly forward through the air with Nadya carefully manipulating the controls. Flick this switch, check that gauge. What did that switc---...
Wait.
Why did the blades stop rotating?
Why were they plummeting down to the waters below?!
Nadya only had time to shout, "GET READY FOR SUDDEN LANDING. SOMETHING WENT BAD," smoke filled the air and some of the helicopter as they landed in the water in one piece. A ship seemed to have seen them and was heading toward them...
This was Wayra's last chance. Do or die, in the most literal sense. She had to make this jump if she wanted the chance to see her precious zoo, her loving animals, again. Gathering all her remaining strength, Wayra took her final leap of faith at her lifeline.
Unfortunately, luck was not on Wayra's side, as the rope ladder slipped from her grasp and she plummeted to her death against the ground below.
God, I have the worst roll luck, have fun everyone that escaped~

There were too many people trying to get onto the helicopter anyway, and hanging off the side on a rope ladder really did not sit well with Hawkeye. Fidgeting with his gun, he watched as the chopper took off and eventually disappeared from his view. No clue if they would end up turning into a flaming ball of death or if they actually made it to safety.
This wasn't the time to worry about this. He still had his own life to worry about. Taking in a deep breath, he turned around.
There was still a spot. Penelope was so grateful...
She boarded and the helicopter took off, and it wasn't long before the plane went down. It was a good thing she was buckled up, and clung to it as it landed. The redhead glanced to Nadya.
"Are you alright? Is everyone okay?" She glanced up to spot a ship that was approaching them, her mouth set in a grim line. Was it more trouble...?

Glenda had had her nose pressed to the helicopter's window when it suddenly malfunctioned.
"OH LARKS!"
The sea reached up to meet them, and she gripped her seat with white knuckles. "I'll never gamble, drink or steals as long as I live," she promised in a hoarse whisper.
And just as suddenly, it was over. She opened one beady eye experimentally - there didn't seem to be fire or bodies anywhere...
"Oh, dear, I think I'm okay, but I could really use a change of knickers," she complained to no one in particular.
She fished in her fanny pack for another cigar.

Hannah was trying hard to forget the sight of the guest who'd come all this way with her plummeting to her death trying to grasp the rope ladder from the helicopter. That was-- all this death, for nothing. The nauseous feeling at the pit of her stomach was back, and in her preoccupation it took her a second to notice that the helicopter's blades were no longer rotating. And then, suddenly, they were the ones plummeting, Nadya's shout only dimly registering in Hannah's mind - something had gone bad, yeah, she didn't have trouble believing tha--
-- and then they were in the water, chopper still in one piece. "Holy s**t," she breathed out, eyes wide, "holy s**t." For a few moments she was lost in total astonishment over surviving yet another catastrophe, before Glenda's matter-of-fact words and the passenger who she didn't know enquiring to everyone's health pulled her out of it, "ah, yes, 'm fine." She ran a shaking hand through her loose hair, pulling absentmindedly at a few tangles, "just fine. That was some landing, I gotta say, Nadya, handled like a real pro." And she meant it; everyone seemed to be in good health despite what'd just happened, no injuries as far as she could spot. But was that--? "Wait - does that look like a ship to anyone else?"
A real, functioning ship, one not getting battered into scraps by a giant tentacle monster or whatnot. Rescue.

The helicopter was off.
With the amount of noise and the fact that she had indeed lost her glasses at some point and just didn't bother trying to find them again, Lydia had no idea that beyond "Hawkeye", they had left anybody behind. She had shifted herself to the seat next to their pilot, giving her a shaky smile before they lifted up into the air. She lifted up both of her hands to plug her ears with her index fingers, gazing at all of the different lights and switches and controls, and mentally thanked the gods that she hadn't attempted to pilot this machine, and that they had somebody who appeared to know what she was doing.
When the first creature attacked them, she knew that the man who had stayed on the ground had been right. This was not the way to get out of here alive. They had made a mistake.
But with some maneuvering, they appeared to be clear of the immediate danger, and Lydia let out a long woosh of breath that she hadn't realized she had been holding.
And then suddenly, the noise stopped. She thought, for a moment, that maybe something had happened, and she had gone deaf. But no, it was just that that twirly things had stopped twirling, and Nadya's shouting was most definitely heard. Her hands dropping to her sides, she hung on for dear life as they plummeted out of the sky and towards the ocean below, her face blanching, her heart raising up into her throat.
Better than being torn apart by monsters, I think. A mermaid should die in the water, anyways. It's fitting.
She closed her eyes, and she held her breath.
She felt the impact as they hit the water, and then the gentle sway of the waves beneath them. Opening her eyes, she looked around.
"We...We're fine." She gasped out, turning towards Penny. "We're fine?!?" It was like she was asking rather than making a declaration.
And then towards Glenda. "........Oh dear! Was it number one or number two?"
She hadn't even seen the ship, not until Hannah mentioned it, and she turned around in her seat to see.
".......Yes. Yes it does."

If you want to try swimming to the ship in the distance roll 1d100. If you roll less than 50 you die, if you roll 50+ you survive. It takes 3 rolls to reach the ship!
