Still hyped up from his success with the bubbles, Briar decided to try lobbing one of the balloons again.
This time the balloon hit his chosen target with a solid splat, water going all over them.
The other kid ran off, the glint in their eye hinting at perhaps a retaliation in the near future if they got their way.
Hiding a smile Briar went to look for a new target - if he kept this up then hopefully those cookies would be as good as his.

Ralph was watching kids as he held his purple balloon, He noticed one girl who was trying to hide to keep from getting hit after she thrown the balloon at someone else. His brow lofted as he grinned. Well now, if that's how it was going to be.
He lobbed the purple balloon at her, trying to hit her. He paused as the balloon hit her starting to laugh and when he noticed the confetti sticking to her he laughed louder before sticking out his tongue and running for it. She was probably going to get him back tenfold if she could catch him....

Ralph is targeting Meagan; Ralph has hit his target! Oh seems like it's a confetti balloon. =o
Derek yelped, skidding to a halt as a bloom of cold spread over his back. "Really?!" He yelled as Trev zoomed past him. "Shooting me when my back is turned. Twice!" Grabbing the pinata at his feet Derek shot after him fully intent on pay back. Aiming for the back of Trev's head, the kid threw the balloon. "Ha!" He said when it connected. "Take tha- OH COME ON!" Derek yelled again as his balloon burst into confetti. "Pinata." He mumbled.
(Come, let him love you, Derek. And cover you in confetti...)
Again with the confetti! Trev's mother was going to have a field day griping about how messy he was. Still, at least Derek had gotten another hit in. He wasn't completely terrible at this.
Pausing long enough to try and brush the worst of the confetti off, he grabbed his last balloon (H-uh. He'd have to restock.) and threw wildly. Managing to hit, not Derek, but the trunk of a tree. Grinning sheepishly, he shrugged and ran to find more balloons. Tree probably needed water anyway.
"Don't get too happy there, dude! This ain't over!" he caroled happily.
Jason was determined to pay Jake back for what he saw as his defeat and when he spotted a big tub of bubbles he knew just what he would do.
Scooping up a handful of the suds Jason snuck up on Jake, who was laughing his head off at a confetti covered classmate, and promptly gave him foamy white hair. A smear had it covering Jake's whole head in a mess of sudsy brown hair.
Now it was his turn to laugh his head off at his friend.

Meagan squealed as she was hit with a confetti balloon, venting her anger as she stomped her feet. This could not stand!
Prepared to make a hit or die trying, Meagan stalked her enemy with single minded intent. Drawing close, she gathered herself and threw her.... Bubble! Success!
The bubble flew and stuck to the boy that had attacked her and Meagan let out a shrill giggle as she fled for her life.
(Trev proposes a truce, Derek. Time to focus on others.)
Still spitting confetti, Trev sighed and turned to size up the rest of the kids. No reason why he couldn't go after them as well. Hefting a balloon he let it fly towards the nearest girl (it was always such fun to hear them squeal in dismay!). Only to watch it hit her on the should and bounce off.
Oh come ON. REALLY?
"I think you cursed me, broski," he muttered under his breath.
Once again, Bryn had missed, but he wasn't letting that discourage him any. Any day when he got to throw things and make messes were good days, and this one was lots of fun.
Briar's next attempt however was hopeless, his target dodging the lobbed balloon seemingly with apparent ease.
The balloon hit the ground with a sad plop, water splashing around . After giving the now useless balloon a quick glance, Briar headed off to go pick up another balloon.
It was too early in the game for him to acknowledge defeat just yet.
(My head went to a dark place. Bad sin. 8| And he's already covered in mud. Derek says Trev can keep his confetti paper.)
Derek rolled his eyes. "You're only saying that cause I've hit you with confetti." He eyed the other kids wearily. It was only a matter of time before someone tried hitting them. Rolling his eyes at Trev's miss, he scooped up two balloon's he passed on off to Trev. "I ain't complain. Mean's you can't hit me anymore. Though let's see about cursing anyone else..." Picking a target, Derek let the balloon fly.
Ahhh it seemed like Meagan was not just another pretty face after all. He squeaked and squirmed as she got him with the bubbles. She'd caught him, well at the same. "Good job." He said looking a little coyly at her. He had another water balloon in his head and faked throwing it at her.
After the fake out Ralph actually threw the balloon towards Briar but he missed! Oh crap, the balloon popped on the ground. Well that wasn't very impressive at all. He frowned a little.

Dressed in a worn, but comfortable, two-piece jumpsuit a green eyed girl arrived late to the balloon fight. Her black hair was tied loosely behind her as unsure hands reached into a nearby tub and grasped the closest "weapon" at hand.
Eliza scanned the playing field, noting targets before choosing one at random. She let loose with a playful, mocking scream and ran full tilt towards a girl covered in confetti. The bright pieces of paper had attracted her attention. Even as she closed in on her target, Eliza giggled loudly, announcing her presence as she lobbed her weapon.
Jason was expecting retaliation but he didn't expect quite so swift. Jake had poped a balloon all over his head and now Jason was pretty much drenched from head to toe. Bahhh.
With his eyes squinted he scooped a balloon up and from just a few feet away tossed it right at Jake, there was no way he could miss at this distance.
And yet he did.
The balloon sailed right past Jake as he steped to the side and burst upon the grass. Jake found this and the look on Jason's face hallarious. Soon, Jason mentally promised his friend, soon.

Briar jumped as a balloon burst on the ground nearby, his eyes automatically following the direction that he thought the water balloon might have come from.
There was another kid back that way who Briar thought might be the balloon chucker and hey guess what he had the balloon that he had just picked up in his hands - what to do with it seemed obvious.
With a slow grin, Briar tossed the balloon in the other's direction. It probably would have had more effect if it had managed to make impact.
Eliza frowned as the balloon landed on the ground and didn't burst. Was the balloon still safe to use or would it pop once she went to retrieve it? Not wanting to chance a soaking Eliza rushed over towards the nearest tub and reached in for her next balloon.
A boy rushed by her and Eliza struggled to duck the balloon tossed at her before darting off. She closed in on another child before taking careful aim. Could she manage to hit someone? Eliza watched the balloon arc into the air with anticipation
