Hikari hesitated, watching Mae disappear ahead of them. She lifted her hand to her head again. There was still blood, but mostly it had stopped now.
Kagami hovered close to Hikari. "This must be a lot for you to take in right now..." She sighed. "I just want to let you know, I'm here for you whenever you need me. I promise I won't leave your side unless it's absolutely necessary." She flew ahead, watching Mae's path carefully so they wouldn't get lost.
"Why are you doing this for me?" Hikari shook her head. "Who... who are you, exactly?" She sped up a little to stay close to the flying rabbit. "How are you able to fly... and how can you talk?"
Kagami laughed. "That's exactly what you said the first time you met me, Kari-tan!" She smiled as the academy came into view. "I guess I'll have to explain things to you later. This way!"
Hikari dashed through a field of flowers as they approached the building, barely pausing to take in the sight, rushing now to keep up with Kagami.
