She had been ready to shake her head no and deny that she needed help but the stallion was already on it. She sighed and let him help. Standing up she ‘glared’ at the water. “I don’t know what that was, but it’s annoying me.” Her voice was low and she shook her head. Speaking up she taunted the water creature back. “Maybe you should try and get out of the water or are you afraid of a little dirt and a few stones?” She stamped a hoof hard on the soil daring that water creature to come out. Serpent or no she could handle it.
Kealpie didn’t hear what was said exactly being under water but she was fairly certain she was being yelled at. It hardly mattered. She stayed where she was comfortably in the water.

Delta finished untangling another loop of chain before replying. "It was an Azrien that had a fish tail instead of back legs." He untangled a bit more of the chain and then spoke again. "You know, besides the whole almost-drowning part, this has been a fun day." Seeing very unique Azrien, making a new friend... it was great!

So it was a weird looking fish azerin? Well wasn’t that just great. She shook her chain the rest of it falling into place just fine since it was only the one reign. “You have an odd definition of fun. Remind me never to follow you to a gathering.” She snorted softly and tilted her head listening for more of the water azerin’s antics. She heard nothing. “is it gone?”

Delta blushed and smiled sheepishly. "Is it?" He wasn't sure what to compare his definition of fun to. Everyone at home was at the very least tolerant of his oddities. Adaeze's question drew his attention back to the river. "I don't see her, but I think she might still be there..." A little embarrassed, he added, "I'm not sure I want to go find out." He didn't want to repeat the incident.

She snorted softly. She personally wanted to drag the fish out of the river and ask it a few less then benevolent questions. She hated to be attacked. That kind of thing made her think of the stories of what her father and his bonded went through. “Well then let’s get you away from the water for now. If it’s still there than at least we’ll be gone from this place.” She jerked her head in the direction away from the river. She started to carefully pick her path as she had grown accustomed to. “Are you certain you’re alright?”

Delta nodded and followed his new blind friend, a lot more cheerful than most would've been. He blinked at her question. "Hm? Yeah, I'm fine. Things like this happen all the time. I've been through worse. ... Or at least everyone says I did... I don't really remember any of it." Most of his foalhood was either hidden in fog or memories of his recovery. He spent time with his cousin, Jeralyn, until she vanished and then spent a ton of time with her brother, Plouton. And although he was a bit naive, he did notice how he seemed to attract accidents and incidents like this one with the half-fish Azrien. He didn't know why it happened, but it did. Luckily he happened to be pretty... well, lucky when those incidents happened.

Things like that happened all the time to this male? His live must be cursed and horrible if such danger was about him all the time. Still to have little or no memory must be horrible. “Oh. I’m sorry. I didn’t know.” It was a sad excuse but it was also the truth. Her chain jangled softly as she stepped. Most would not assume her blind with the surety she moved; though she had a lifetime of practice. Shaking her head she ‘looked’ back to him. “um hey. If you ever need a break from danger or anything like that I’m sure my father and his bonded would be fine with sheltering you for a while. She wondered what other kinds of accidents he had. “so um what other fish have you annoyed lately?”

Delta shook his head before remembering that she couldn't see it. "It's fine," he replied cheerfully. "I can't be upset over things I can't remember, right?" He smiled at her offer. "I appreciate the offer. It's nice to know there's a safe haven besides home." He blushed at her question. "W-Well, they weren't recently, but..." He thought to what his family had told him. "In the first incident, I apparently got maimed by an Azrien named Demoni because I was trying to keep my sister from going with him and Ruin. And the one where I lost a lot of my memories was because I tried to Bond with a violent human or something." He was quiet for a moment, then shook his head with a sigh. "I don't really mind not remembering, but... It's kinda sad, y'know? I don't remember what my sister looks like."

She didn’t really agree after all she would be worried over what she forgot and been miserable. But at least Delta seemed to have a happy go lucky attitude about it all. She nodded her head at his words. Safe places were nice. She shivered at his stories. Being maimed was no joke and he seemed fine about it. Still the cause was a worthy one so he had reason to wear such scars with pride. “Well perhaps you will see her again and your memory will come back. Just because you have forgotten her does not mean she has ever forgotten you. That would be sad. And you have parents who are still alive yes? Why not ask them? I am sure they would love to tell you of your sister.” In truth she didn’t know if he still had the sister but assumed not with his comments. She really hoped that the girl hadn’t died. That would have made her own comments awkward.

Delta shrugged. "Maybe." But the suggestion to ask his parents made him shake his head. "My parents are alive, but..." He smiled sadly. "Iota never came back, so... talking about her still makes them sad. I worry them enough as it is... I don't want to make them sad anymore." They had enough on their plates. He didn't want to add to it. Smiling brightly, he added, "So I guess I'll just wait for her to come back so I can meet her."

“Sorry. Still I think you need to talk to someone about it because letting you suffer unknowing would hurt you and them not being able to talk about it must hurt them too.” She shook her head only seeing pain being brought about by all this mess. “Waiting doesn’t do any good either. Is there anyone else you can talk to maybe find out where the ones who took her went?” Stubborn as the day was long she was not about giving anything up to just ‘wait.’

Delta's sad smile remained on his face. "... That's... the thing. The only one who knew where she went... was me. That's why I was attacked by Demoni. At least, that's the story." The truth to that story was locked away somewhere in his lost memories. He smiled sheepishly. "She apparently went with Ruin to the south, so I can't exactly visit her... Getting myself killed would make everyone sad." He wasn't strong. He knew that and he didn't really mind. But on topics like these, he had to make the point that he wasn't strong; he couldn't just go barging into the south to "rescue" a sister that probably didn't think she needed rescuing. Even to attempt visiting her would be dangerous since she was with someone that was willing to maul him as a colt.

Stamping her foot Adaeze was not about to just give up. “Well then we just need to find someone who can approach this ‘Demoni’ and find a way to get the information out of them. Who do you know who could do that?” She just lumped herself in with Delta now because she couldn’t stand the thought of injustices like this going on. What happened to her father was bad enough she never wanted anything like that to happen to any other azerin. “And don’t tell me no one because then we’ll just have to find someone who can and go talk to them. Risking your life is dangerous but not knowing or just giving up leads to regrets that linger and darken the soul. Come on Del let’s get going.” Snorting she listened for his response to all that.”

Delta shook his head, and explained gently. "There are people, but... both Paimon and D'von's mates are expecting... They won't be leaving them. Otherwise their foals might be taken like Jara's were... or like Iota was." He smiled sheepishly. "All of the others that I know of are allied with Demoni, so it doesn't really help. ... And, um..." He smiled sheepishly. "I don't remember anything about Demoni, so I wouldn't be able to find him even if we did go to interrogate him." Delta took a step back and shook his head again. "I can't go. I don't want... Mama to cry because of me anymore." His first new memory had been his dear mother sobbing her relief over his bandaged, battered frame. He didn't ever want to see her like that again.

Honestly Adaeze was starting to get a bit annoyed with Delta’s lack of spirit. “Look I’m not asking you to just willy nilly waltz down south and be all ‘look at me I’m a pretty pony.’ What I’m saying is have someone who you know but the Demoni group doesn’t. Have them speak with the group and ferret out information. The group with think this is a new member or whatnot and yeah it’ll take time but you can get a general idea of where down south to head. From there get a group together. Skill sets you don’t have and have them go find and bring back your sister and the foals and whoever else they can who was taken. If you just let things continue on as they are you’ll end up more kidnappings and more tears. I thought you wanted to prevent that?” She snorted. “Or was I mistaken?”
