S'lin: Poisoning
Tools modifier: 0
HP: 27/30
Resources Held: 5/20

The nest room she found did have food supplies; sacks of dry goods, like flour and sugar. Perfect, the powdered poison should go unnoticed in those. She pulled open the nearest sack and quickly started pouring poison in. Unfortunately she was a bit too quick and her lack of caution caused some of the powder to fall on her hand. She quickly wiped it off on the side of the sack, but the spot had already begun to sting. Making a mental note to try and find some water soon to rinse it off with, she moved on.

V'lay - Poisoning
Tools Modifier: +2
HP: 3029/30
Pack: 0/20

---

Right. Somehow, they had managed to avoid detection. V'lay didn't know how - barely cared. He was there for reason. He could hear the commotion now, people apparently already setting things alight, but V'lay couldn't be bothered to pay attention to that. If someone was going to get burn-happy a few minutes into the venture, instead of poisoning things, well. He couldn't complain, really. Instead, he took a different route, one that didn't crackle quite so much, and found himself in a room full of barrels.

Carefully, he pried the lid off one. Water. Well. Wasn't he lucky. Scrabbling at his pocket for the poison, he lifted it over one of the barrels and opened it.

Some of it struck his hand. It stung for a moment, but V'lay yanked back, scrubbing his palm against his trousers for a moment before grinning and plunging it into another water barrel. When he withdrew, he poured a bit more in for good measure before moving onward.

Rolling Wen - Stealing
Mod+ 1
HP 30/ 30
Backpack 7 /20 + 2 Bandages - 3Hph each

Wen breathed slowly as he slipped away, the fire burning merrily and diversion created. Perhaps better than they could have hoped for. He joined the others into heading towards the storerooms, trusting them to know. He had never been in Malvren.

The room he found had supplies, perhaps a tailors and spools of bandages. He picked up two, stuffing them in his pack. Bandages were always useful. A glint of metal caught his eye and an stray lonely metal needle found it way into his pack.

Rolling - Wen - Burn it
Mods - 5 and 8

Cloth, looms, dyes... all of it was fantastically flammable. Wen hummed, looking over the supplies and picked out his flint and tender. He struck them, sending a flare of sparks and waited enough till they seemed to have caught before sliding out and heading towards a other room.

V'lay - Poisoning
Tools Modifier: +2
HP: 29/30
Pack: 0/20

---

There was plenty in the room to work with. Slowly, methodically, V'lay went from barrel to barrel, dripping a bit of the deadly mix into each barrel. If nothing else, he was careful. The Malvren fools would suffer for what they had done. He only wished it were Benden they were taking on, systematically destroying. V'lay wanted vengeance. But vengeance on Benden could wait. When Malvren was weakened, they could take it. From there, they would liberate Benden.

This room was done. He moved on.

C'ross - Poisoning
Tools modifier: 0
HP: 27/30
Pack: 6/20

---

His pack was only about a quarter full, but C'ross saw no reason to burden himself excessively yet. He might regret being weighted down later, if they had to make a run for it. He'd save some room in case he saw something that was definitely worth taking, but apart from that...

Well, stolen or destroyed supplies could be replaced. Poisoned supplies would do more damage in the long run.

He finished up slipping poison into the last of the wine casks, but on the last one his hand slipped and he ended up with poison dust all over his fingers. Cursing quietly under his breath, he tried to wipe it off on the nearest bolt of cloth, but the fingers were already tingling unpleasantly.

V'lay - Stealing
Tools Modifier: +2
HP: 29/30
Pack: 7/20

---

Less liquid in this room. That was V'lay's first impression. He glanced around - dried goods. Sacks of beans, rivergrains, tubers - slabs of jerky. It would be a shame to poison some of this. He thought about it for a moment before springing into action. First a small bag of rivergrains, then a slab of jerky. Food that would keep. Food that they'd be able to use in a crisis.

He paused briefly at a sack of flour, wondering if he should light it. He heard that it burned spectacularly. But at the same time....he would have liked to upend his poison into it. That was something where it would never be seen. Still, only so much time to do these things and think about them.

A other room... Wen was careful, carefully testing the supplies for poison before adding them to his pack when they didn't send up warning flags. Spices. Casks of spices. It would be best to poison them...

C'ross - Burning
Tools modifier: 0
HP: 27/30
Pack: 6/20

---

Well, that was this room more or less taken care of. Murmuring a quiet "good luck" to Felix as he passed, C'ross moved on to the next room with a swift and silent gait.

Unfortunately, the next room contained nothing but huge vats of oil. C'ross could tell just from the smell and consistency that they were dragon oil: the big ceramic vessels were much larger versions of the little jars that he had grown quite used to applying to Nimith's sensitive hide. He stared at them for a moment, clearly torn.

They were obviously too large and unwieldy to take. And even C'ross would not poison dragon oil. He would poison humans, yes, absolutely. But not dragons. The dragons of Malvren had not been the ones to commit atrocities.

However, one of the pleasant qualities of oil was the fact that it burned very well. It took only a bit of work to strike a spark, and from there...

S'lin: Poisoning
Tools modifier: 0
HP: 23/30
Resources Held: 5/20

S'lin moved on from bag to bag, pouring more poison into sugar, salt and spices. But despite trying to be slow and careful, she slipped again and she scattered the powder on her hand. Hissing at the stinging, she scrubbed at the hand with a handful of salt (the closest thing at hand), then closed up that bag and went off to find something else.

Wen: Poisoning

Hp 30/30
Backpack: 13/20 - 2 rolls of bandages

It took a bit longer then he wanted to sprinkle poison into the casks. He ended up choosing at random and decided to let it be random. Poisoning them all would make it certain that the spices was tainted. Random... it might be more damaging.

D'lin
Stealing

Tools mod - +1
HP - 30/30
Pack - 2/20

D'lin had signed up thinking this mission was just going to be a bit of pillaging and looting, activities that he was fine with. He hadn't been overly happy when he learned that the group would also be bringing poison and setting parts of the Weyr aflame. Oh he understood the tactics of it all and knew it might work, but he generally considered such lowly tactics the realm of the Wherhandlers...not the Riders and although he had bitterly opposed them he'd come along anyways. He had after all volunteered.

But he had refrained from setting things on fire and stuck to stealing rather then poisoning the stores he found.

S'lin: Stealing
Tools modifier: 0
HP: 23/30
Resources Held: 7/20

The next room S'lin ducked into also lacked food. Instead it seemed to have building supplies, like lumber, saws, hammers...nails? The rest was too big to carry, but nails would be useful to a weyr that needed rebuilding. And worked metal was always a useful thing to have. The hails were stored in a box too big to carry, and she didn't want nails rattling around loose in her pack, so she rummaged around until she found a large rag. She dumped a couple handfuls of nails in the center of the rag, tied the corners together to make a compact bundle, and stashed it in her pack.

As the group pillaged, plundered, and burned the stores of Malvren’s upper levels, a pair of frightened youths ran by as the thick acrid smoke of burning oils poured out from the room C’ross was setting aflame and the charred scent of burning fabric mingled further along from Wen’s work caused them to turn, wide-eyed and stare at the mess strewn about the hall. One scurried forward, against the yelled complaint of his companion, and spotted S’lin pilfering nails. It was a bizarre sight and the youth blinked, yelping as some wood fell over with a great thump.

“Thieves!” He cried, “We are attacked!” The scream reached his friend and he backed out, swift as a yearling runner, and disappeared into the gloom. “We have to get help!” The words echoed in the hall as he sprinted for his superiors.
