"Alright." Ankou nodded and placed in their order, deciding for a quail salad for himself - if only so his son could have some variation if he decided to pick at his plate.
With their orders taken, they would be directed to a place to sit while they waited. "We have a bit of time before the food is ready, if there are any other questions you have ?"
It would surprise me if there weren't any.

Isidore looked around him trying to take in every little detail of the place they were in, the people, the decor he wanted to remember all of it so that he could tell everyone when he got home.
"Um, I feel that I have so many questions I can't think of any to ask." He admitted with a small smile. "You must get to see so many different worlds."

At first, the Spirit Guide only smiled. "Of course." He would not have it any other way, to be honest. He would leave the arrogance and distance to some of the other gods. He had learned, in this life, just how beautiful the worlds could be - and he sought all the hidden gems, all the perfect little wonders.
He would always return, but he would always leave. It was a circle that could not truly ever be stopped. The length of those circles was simply... different. Too long for his tastes, to be honest, but what else could he do ?
"There are so many beautiful things to see. I do hope to see them all." Eventually. This was no small task, even foe a god.

"Me too! I want to see all of it." Isidore pretty much wanted to do everything that his father did. His life was sooo interesting, getting to wander about seeing all these amazing things and learning about amazing races and worlds.

"It certainly does." And as if on cue, their food came in a few minutes later - and Ankou nodded in thanks, though with a grin that might make the others wonder what he was up to.
It was too bad his son did not know elven, really. He could have been given a good lesson about blending in if he had.

Isidore looked at his plate and was not quite sure where to begin.
"Why don't you eat ... but do sometimes." He asked quietly, he knew this was a strange thing, but he was curious. "Isn;t it boring?"

"I have no actual need for it." Not ever since he'd truly overcome his host's mortality, at any rate. He literally did not feel hunger, so had no real reason to stop in the middle of something to eat. Unlike his son, there was little hesitation as he started to poke at his salad.
"I figure I do not always remember to stop and do it." He shrugged. Maybe it was quite strange, he had never truly noticed. Many of the reborn did eat and sleep still, even if they had no true need for it.

"Oh." he smiled and thought for a moment, his dad did not sleep either and that was strange, though his mother didn't much. She would sit with him and his sisters when they slept though, she was better at that, taking naps.
"So one day I will be like you?"

"That depends. I seem to be an exception, as most do seem to keep eating and sleeping commonly for the enjoyment of it." He had to admit that it was just that. Sleep was a complete waste of time for him, but eating, the taste, as well as the company, most often than not, did make that a worthwhile activity.
"You should just do what you like, really." There was no harm either way.

Isidore grinned and nodded. Be himself and do things that he liked. That was good, he was sure he would not be able to cope without cookies.
"Mmm this food is yummy. Thank you dad, this is the best adventure ever and the best food ever."

"You are indeed quite welcome." Ankou simply smiled. This meant he would have to think up something similarly awesome for the girls, of course, but that should not be a problem. There were plenty of things to see and worlds to visit.
"You should try some of this, too." He pushed his bowl over a bit.

Isidore took some of the food in the bowl his father had pushed toward him and smiled as he tasted it, so yummy.
"What are we going to do next? After we buy presents, is there something fun to see here?"

"Hmm." There were things to see, of course, but what would interest his son the most ? "We could take a closer look at the waterfalls - it is really quite a sight." Water free falling in such a way was indeed interesting.
"Or we could try to sneak into the mage tower." He smirked. "We would be very poor dark elves if we did not try to get in trouble, after all."

Hmm waterfalls or mage towers ... not really a choice as far as Isidore was concerned. he could see waterfalls anytime but mage towers!!!
"Oh! I wanna see the towers dad!" Trouble was a far more exciting thought.

Oh ho ho ho ho. Straight for trouble, it seemed. This was about to get very interesting, though he had his ways to make sure they would not get caught. "Finish your food, then we'll get the shopping done and do that."
They might need to make an hasty exit, after all.
